My review of Sleeping Lord Beattie by Em Taylor

Sleeping Lord Beattie was originally published in November of 2017, as book one in a series.  I found it quite by accident while surfing Amazon for interesting books.  Having never read any of Em Taylor's work before I was intrigued by her premise of a "contrary fairy tale".  I'm glad I took a chance as I enjoyed the story and plan to read more of Ms Taylor's stories.  I feel I should warn you that this book is intended for adult readers, it's not nasty by any means, but may be too much information for young readers. Gideon, Viscount Beattie, is injured in an accident on his estate and is unconscious (read out like a light) for 3 weeks.  No one is sure if he'll ever wake up.  His sister, Sophia, asks her good friend, Lady Emily Beresford, to visit and keep her company during this trying time.  Emily is an on-the-shelf 23 year old, nicknamed Lady Clumsy during her first season.  While helping take care of Gideon, Emily remembers a fairy tale about a sleeping girl wakened by a kiss.  So she kisses him and gets caught.  The good news is Gideon does wake up, the bad news is that strangers must marry.  It's a fun take on a classic tale.  As this is a romance there is a happily ever after, we demand them don't we?  Happy reading. #Amazon #EmTaylor #SleepingLordBeattie #ContraryFairyTales

Rendhagyó post. Érdekes figyelni a mai lányokat, hogy mennyire vágynak a figyelemre, arra, hogy valaki nyálcsorgató kommenteket írjon a képei alá, illetve arra, hogy kitegyék a mindennappentek-re.
