I couldn't get the emr to work on my computer yesterday while I was actually at work, so I still have all my notes to do and I've spent all afternoon sitting on the couch actively avoiding doing notes

Professionalism
Medical personnel: It's okay to hate your EMR. We know, we know, the EMR you use is the worst EMR in the history of EMRs, and That EMR has Ruined Medical Practice as We Know It.
Reign it in when you're in front of a patient. You kill confidence in your skill when you do that and frighten them.

In Hong Kong they’ve had comprehensive portable medical records since 2008. You can walk into any clinic in Hong Kong with your card and the providers at that clinic can immediately access your medical information so you don’t have to deal with the above-listed nonsense. We could do SO MUCH BETTER but the decision-makers are all owned by insurers and pharma, so ya know. We won’t do better until the shareholders can find a way to extract more profits from doing better than they do from our current nightmare of a healthcare system.
sign into the patient portal to make an appointment! enter the six digit confirmation code we texted! make an account to view health providers near you! log in with your google account! please use our online portal to manage your healthcare! download our app for virtual appointments! use mychart to track your labs! this is a different medical facility from your last doctor so you need a different mychart account! answer this 80 question survey each time before you are seen! download the cvs app to manage your prescriptions! download the cvs caremark app to manage your other prescriptions! these apps are not compatible. scan this generated barcode at the pharmacy to pick up your prescriptions! must be logged in. what if i jeff the kill you

every time i think about how life is a machine that turns children into adults my heart breaks. look at how much whimsy a fresh child sees in the world and tell me what fucking happened to that delightful way of being by the time they're 25. it's like we learn that unabated joy is a thing to be hidden, stifled, or avoided altogether. gimme a fucking (summer) break

EMR vs EHR: What is the difference?
There are plenty of acronyms that are in use inside the healthcare industry. EHR and EMR are two standard terms that can be used alternatively. When it comes to a debate on EMR vs EHR, both are pretty similar; however, they have different meanings. Furthermore, EMR is an acronym for ‘Electronic Medical Records,’ while EHR is an acronym for ‘Electronic Health Records’. EHRs have a deeper and broader scope in comparison to an EMR.
