THE EMPTY TOMB THAT WASN’T EMPTY, REVEALED! May 15, 2026

There are arguments propounded by several religious leaders that Jesus' tomb was indeed found empty on the day of His resurrection (Sunday), which eventually became the center of the gospel in Christianity.

All major events in Christ’s life, notably His death, burial, and resurrection, which constitutes the gospel (1Corinthians 15:1-4), have already been prophesied (Isaiah 26:19) and were precisely fulfilled (John 19:30-31, 38-42) so that the people would believe Him (John 13:19) to be the Messiah.

The disciples had vividly witnessed inside the tomb that there were angels sitting where the body of Jesus had before been laid.

JOHN 20:11-12

(11) But MARY stood… and looked into the SEPULCHRE,

(12) And SEETH TWO ANGELS in white SITTING… where the BODY of JESUS had LAIN.

These same angels proclaimed that Christ would come in like manner as He had ascended, which was precisely on a Sabbath day (Acts 1:3, 9-12).

Additionally, there was a napkin and linen clothes that were wrapped together in place, providing clear evidence that Christ's tomb was not completely empty.

JOHN 20:1, 5-7

(1) The FIRST DAY of the WEEK cometh MARY MAGDALENE… the STONE TAKEN AWAY from the SEPULCHRE.

(5) …and looking in, SAW the LINEN CLOTHES lying…

(6) Then cometh SIMON PETER following him… and SEETH the LINEN CLOTHES lie,

(7) And the NAPKIN, that was about his HEAD, NOT LYING with the LINEN CLOTHES, but WRAPPED TOGETHER in a place by itself.

Christ’s resurrection, by which He intends to leave His folded napkin and linen clothes, is the exact fulfillment of the prophecy in Leviticus 16, wherein on the day of Atonement, the high priest must put off his holy linen garments and leave them in the holy place as he approaches the tabernacle of the congregation.

LEVITICUS 16:23, 30

(23) And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall PUT OFF the LINEN GARMENTS, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall LEAVE them there:

(30) …the PRIEST make an ATONEMENT… that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

Similarly, the folded napkin is a Jewish tradition related to the master and his servant, which foreshadows the coming of Christ.

Herewith, the prophecy in Leviticus 16, which happened on a Sabbath day did not only foretold Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection but likewise His return, which is on a Sabbath day as well.

LEVITICUS 16:29, 31 (LEVITICUS 25:9-11, JUDE 14)

(29)…in the SEVENTH month, on the TENTH day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all…

(31) It shall be a SABBATH of REST unto you… by a STATUTE FOR EVER.

10 – TENTH day, 7 – SEVENTH month

The triangular number of 7 is 28.

Taking the cube of numbers 1-10 as per digit will give a sum of 2026, the exact year of Christ’s return.

Another Computation: 7 + 10 = 17

This refers to the exact date of Christ’s burial, the 17th day of Nisan, which was on a Sabbath, correlating to the Day of Atonement (Romans 5:10-11).

Jesus’s final words on the cross, “It is finished (John 19:30),” denotes the completion of His ministry as a sacrificial Lamb (Isaiah 53:7), however, not His ministry as a High Priest (Hebrews 9:11-12).

Moreover, it likewise signifies the end of Israel’s probation, being declared by Daniel as “to finish the transgression (Daniel 9:24).”

Therefore, the validity of the Sabbath has strongly been established by Christ that it will always be binding, for it is the principle behind His death, burial, and resurrection, exemplified in the Lord’s Supper (death), which is to be commemorated until He comes (1 Corinthians 11:24-26).

Slowly posting my journey through the Holy Land still... Venerated the rock on which Jesus was placed after he was taken down from the cross and prepared for burial. We celebrated High Mass outside of the Empty Tomb, where Jesus was buried. I was one of the first in line to venerate Mount Calvary, where Jesus was crucified and died, so while everyone else was still upstairs (atop the mountain), I made my way down towards the tomb for some alone time to pray. I made it down just in time to enter the tomb before they closed it to prepare for mass. I was able to enter and actually spend time inside the tomb without being rushed like everyone else was. God knew I needed this moment. After Mass, we all lined up and I was able to enter the tomb a second time. This time was rushed as everyone else was lined up to venerate as well. That first moment inside the tomb was meant for me alone and I'm grateful to have had that. PS photos aren't allowed in the tomb; I'll answer to God later. 😬 Before leaving the church, we ran into a childhood friend of mine, Father James Arriola. It was great seeing him after all these years. Months after the pilgrimage, the spirit remains with me still.
