no but imagine percy who inherited his mom's beachwave brown, shoulder length hair as a kid. and all of his classmates and teachers thinking he's a girl and referring to him as such. and he doesn't correct them because he thinks it means they find him pretty. and he likes feeling pretty like his mom. then gabe makes him cut his hair in the second grade. and finds he likes the short hair and feeling handsome too. but he also really misses feeling pretty sometimes. and it isn't until after gabe mysteriously dissapears that he grows it out again and reconciles switching between both.

this year my challenge for everyone is to unlearn the association between love and morality. love is not something that is inherently morally good, and the absence of love is not something that is inherently bad. sex without love isn't morally bankrupt, it's just an action. people without love aren't less kind or less good, they're just people. when we can get past this false (and often unnoticed) dichotomy of good love/evil lovelessness then i think we are going to be able to take leaps and bounds in sex positivity, aro advocacy, certain discussions of mental health...

cue depression that some other satyr is joining them on this quest instead of Grover, who obviously decided not to come get Percy himself because he hates him

Very interested in the way they choose to adapt Percy and Grover's empathy link and the way they can speak into each other's minds to the screen? I imagine it'll be like a voice-over situation probably? Anyway I need them to include it even if it could be a little tricky to establish at first since it's like a weird thing.

Okay, but if we get to season 3 and Annabeth and Percy are dancing in Westover Hall Annabeth will most certainly need to say something along the lines of "Don't make this weird, Seaweed Brain" as they're dancing because we know Percy now thinks hugging needs to be a thing they do after one hug and he will probably think dancing is now something they'll be doing a lot too!

honestly i think maybe i love ace attorney because its so magical girl coded....the formula of a dumbass who has no idea what they are doing but have to roll with whatever comes their way and preserve out of goodness of their heart is so so magical girl (and a step further, pink cure) in essence, just done with evidence and objections instead of magical rods and mascots

*side note: weirdgirl assistants are essentially a mascot role in this reading as they provide advice/help/just moral support while being a very comedic character and also need saving at times

they act like a married couple and a couple in the honeymoon phase at the same time.

they miss each other when one of them goes to the bathroom, they have considered a joint bank account. which obviously won’t work because mortal banks and demigods definitely don’t mix

they sit on each other’s laps, and have standing hangout days.

they have no chill whatsoever regarding the other.

annabeth is aware and thinks its hilarious and endearing. she joins their cuddle piles.

What if Percy's fatal flaw does eventually kill him, but not because he was protecting someone to the point of not caring for himself, but because he refused to give up the empathy link with Grover when he was thirteen to know if Grover ever needs him again and then Grover dies and Percy dies with him.
