GOODBYE 2024, HELLO 2025! while you all have no doubt seen an absolutely countless amount of these on your dash all the way through the night, it is now the perfect time for me to wish you all a very happy new year!

some people, like me, will say that this year has been pretty good, otherwise some others have unfortunately gone through a year so depressing that they would personally rather forget. whatever has happened this year, i hope you can exit it with some joy or comfort on your side, if not - i hope those positive feelings find you in the year to come. even if it's someday, on a random afternoon with your favourite weather trickling through the window pane and favourite hobbies surrounding you. because it will come, a fact i believe so wholeheartedly as i am surrounded by some of the most beautiful muns around.

thank you to everyone who is still by my side today. to the people who still follow my blogs despite me posting old fandoms that are now considered over (ser.vamp, ob.ey me, mh.a ... it has felt like part of my interests has died this year, but none of these fandoms ending has completely demolished my love for them all the same.) or simply waiting what must be months or even years for a reply. thank you to everyone who has liked a post, sent an ask, posted a thread or simply sent a message. every piece of interaction i've had this year has truly meant a lot to me, while every follower i have right now are those i feel fill my heart with a closer love. without any of you, i wouldnt be the person i am today. this year would have never been as happy as i could have imagined it, and for that - despite everything, i want to extend my biggest thank you to you all as well.

i have. a lot planned for 2025, both out of blog writing and in for blog writing, that i am excited to share and excited to do with you all. i hope you all know how beautiful and how kind you all are are the same. if i was by your sides right now? there'd be a hug, or a kiss on the cheek, or a cheer. either way, i enter 2025 with the hope and wish for a lovely year for all, and for a lot more threads / dynamics / asks and interaction to come for us all! ♡

I still strongly believe that the first Koyama beatdown in season one was Mob’s most vicious in all the show. The S2E9 one comes close, with 100% obsession, but in that one he was being efficient. Beating those people was simply a means to reach his objective. Another runner up, of course, is the myriad of ???% beatdowns in Mob arc, but even that was simply a means to an end. His GOAL wasn’t to maim so much as it was to reach Tsubomi with all these people getting in the way.

Mob wanted Koyama DEAD. There’s a difference between rage and animosity (that the dub totally ignored lmao making his line “this is the first time this has happened” completely meaningless)—rage is an extreme form of anger, and animosity is described as “hatred leading to active hostility”. Enmity and a desire to hurt. For the first time, he wanted to use his powers on another person.

The way he picked up Koyama by the FACE with two fucking fingers and did some Shimazaki shit where he teleported him into the concrete is one of the most insane moments in the whole show. “Just so you know, this is all your fault. Don’t even show your face around here ever again.” Good fucking lord. A waking nightmare. I for real thought koyama was dead after he was exploded through the building. I was fully willing to accept that Mob killed a man after that performance

can't believe i watched the divorce era of sydney and carmy in s3, i am now fully aboard the sydcarmy romance train some of y'all are silly for thinking deep love and sweet romance dilutes a strong friendship connection, relationships can be complex (can be both can be everything) without a specific box to go into but them two are passionate about each other idk what else to say

Awww, pretty flowers, thank you! I hope you and the tot have a lot of fun! I'm with you on Mary Ann, I was all about her Uninvested Player schtick and how well it played off the Bad Kids, but her actually emoting for the first time got a hell of a laugh out of me. I'm thinking she's the only Rat Grinder who's making it out of the finale alive, since the Bad Kids either can't or won't be willing to take her out. I have a lot of Thoughts about the rest of the episode (my weird observation/mild criticism that I've had since Crown of Candy, that the Intrepid Heroes are now too good at DnD that it makes the finales lack tension still holds unfortunately) but I really enjoyed it overall - Ally and Murph's tactical plays are always so impressive for me (Murph hiding in the lava was such a Big Brain move) and I'm still not over the fact that Brennan decided the main obstacles of the final battle should be lava and the Stunned condition...in a campaign where he homebrewed a spell that makes the party unaffected by both of those. Like, congratulations, you played yourself! 🤣

idk what the actual words for it is but i measure writing quality by 'big writing' and 'little writing'

big writing is over-all character arcs and plots and large narrative choices. if you decide a character will change their career path, thats big writing

and little writing is dialogue and pacing and foreshadowing and symbolism. if you make a character slowly hint at not liking their job, being better at something other than their job, thats little writing

its what you actually read vs what you understand over time.

i think sometimes a story will have really good big writing but then lacking little writing. do you get what i mean.
