Ok well slight update to The Fucking Guy Saga I guess

He hosted an emo night and of course I (punk/goth) went all out. Some minor adjustments to my wardrobe and I was able to pull together a slutty gay pirate look which is close enough to emo (it's really not but I'm not going to get into the semantics of alt culture on my gay yearn-post)

Anyway he didn't say much at the door and was avoiding me the whole night. He's running the event so you'd assume he'd be busy, but he was mingling around too, but never with the groups I was in. He was constantly looking my way though.

Everytime he got attention from the crowd he would glance my way with a sad look in his eyes. This whole thing is a weird gay tragedy. Even worse: the person he's seeing is never actually around, and couldn't be bothered to show up, but that's a whole other thing.

So at midnight, he interrupts the event to crown Scene Queen and Emo King with BK crowns spray painted black. Turns out the minute I walked in, he decided I won and while there was only one other masc person who went all out, he definitely picked me as a favorite.

I'm trying to stay within the boundaries we set, but he keeps doing this kind of stuff. Figure out for yourself what makes you happy. I'm literally just existing, but I'm so attractive to him that it's causing problems. My bad I guess.

Anyway I mainly just wanted to brag about the only actual alt person there winning the "most alt in town" award

Emo Night BK @ Echoplex 04/07/23

My friend invited me to this show since we both had seen and loved the Emo Nite (with an ITE - completely different!) set at Coachella - but if I'm being honest, the ITE version of these emo theme nights is way better. Emo Night BK seems like a 4 hour long karaoke session - not really sure what the DJ does. He takes requests in order too, making it feel even more like a middle school dance. So there's no transitions, no cohesive vibe, no remixes or mashups - just FULL ORIGINAL SONGS back to back. it would go from pierce the veil directly into avril lavigne and back.

If I wanted to karoake, I could've just gone with my friends and booked our own room in KTown. I also left my merch in the venue on accident. I also did not enjoy the crowd around me very much. tl;dr: would definitely do Emo Nite over Emo Night Brooklyn anyday! Overall - 3/10 night ♥

Well where I live there’s a really tight music scene and a couple years ago they start organizing their own Emo Nite’s it’s started out small but it’s gotten a lot bigger as time went by it’s pretty cool

ONE MORE.hat kid n bow kid r kids snatcher used to babysit PreEmo times. after snatcher got Emo he gave up w/babysitting, but hk n bk REFUSE to let anyone else babysit. hk n bk's parents practically Beg snatcher to come look after the two bcoz Every Other Babysitter in the area has Quit bcoz of how much Grief those two would give them . so snatcher actually tried to Look A Bit like how he used to bfore heading over (can't do anything about the dyed hair tho. the black n purple stuff is NOT coming out !) . I can already think of some fun shenanigans where snatcher has to ditch an Actual date that was meant to happen with them n their bfs . snatcher tells em "I have to go babysit. lmao what u guys wanna come with" . conductor n grooves both say Yeah bcoz. they've got nothing better to do (conductor has experience with taking care of young kids bcoz he's got some younger siblings, n some of his way Older siblings already have had babies who conductor's helped watch over n take care of). grooves has No real experience (only child) but is fun enough. I think the night would go down with hk n bk giving the three Makeovers w/makeup. would've gone HORRIBLY for the 3 had it not been for Snatcher , mx "I put on an Insane amount of eyeshadow and various other products Every Day to perfect my look" n also a bit of grooves's knowledge from watching makeup tutorials on utube. they leave looking Great n hk n bk r both Very Happy with what theyve Learnt About Doing Makeup and also having gotten their Favorite Babysitter back n Also Having 2 New Friends :) !
