#2 "where are you going dressed like that?" with Emmett! I miss your writing with Emmett and I miss your writing in general. Dinner Party is fantastic.
oh yeah that makes so much sense for him!!
warnings: smut (18+ only!!!), rough sex, d/s dynamics, established relationship, roleplay, dirty talk, daddy kink, implied age gap, hair pulling, spanking, kinda dumbification kink, no relationship to the movie/pre-apocalypse, no plot just filth!
You bit your lip with excitement as you saw yourself in the mirror, surprised by how well the look fit you. Who knew something Emmett picked out could end up being fashionable? Or maybe you just 'look good in anything' like he said, but that was surely just flattery.
You tried to act nonchalant as you walked past him towards the door, your heels clicking on the hardwood floor. He looked up from his newspaper at you, and you smirked to yourself when you heard the loud crinkle of him setting it down suddenly.
"Where the hell do you think you're goin' dressed like that?" he asked roughly, standing up as you turned around to face him.
"Like what?" you asked innocently.
"Look how short your skirt is," he growled, stalking closer to you, his heavy boots making a much more intimidating sound when they hit the floor. "You're hardly even wearing a shirt--"
"This is trendy!" you defended.
"How come I can see through it?!" he snapped. "What do you think people are gonna think when they see you like this? What do you think men are gonna think?"
"I don't know... that I'm fashionable?" you shrugged.
He stepped right up to you, making you blink up at him as you tried not to show your nervousness, or excitement, or arousal. "You look like a slut, babydoll," he explained lowly. You loved the way that word sounded in his voice: slut. Just the right amount of insulting and sexy all together.
"I'm sorry, daddy," you batted your eyes at him. "But I'm grown, I can wear whatever I want. See ya later!"
You didn't even make it one step away before he grabbed you by the hair and pulled you back, making you gasp and whimper. "Think just 'cause you're grown, you can act like a brat?"
You tried to shake your head, but he was holding it too tightly-- and then a second later, he was shoving you down and bending you over the couch, delivering a harsh smack to your ass (which was barely covered by the tight skirt). "Daddy!" you yelped in faux shock-- well, it wasn't entirely acting. Sure, you knew where this was going, but you didn't expect him to be quite this rough... not that you were complaining.
"If you wanna act like a big girl, you're gonna get treated like one," he warned, spanking you roughly again as your knees pressed together. "And if you wanna look like a whore, you're gonna get treated like one'a those, too."
He pushed the skirt up over your ass to reveal the lacy, Barbie-pink thong, and you heard him growl through his teeth.
"Knew this was what you wanted," he growled, rubbing his hand over your ass and groping it in that way that just made you tense up in anticipation of your spanking. "Only one reason a girl gets dressed up like this-- wanted somebody to put you in your place. You don't need to leave the house for that, honey, daddy's right here to teach you some manners."
He hit you again, and again, and again-- three hard slaps right to the curve of your ass that made your legs wobble and your hands grip weakly at the couch under you. "Fuck," you moaned, fluttering your eyes shut as the sting dissipated and your skin started to feel hot.
"Look't this pretty ass," he cooed, "think I should hit it 'til you've got a nice big handprint right here?"
"No, daddy, please," you begged, "I'll be good-- you don't need to hit me that much..."
"So then what do you need, princess?" he asked sweetly, grabbing a rougher handful of your ass. "What do you need to learn your lesson?"
"U-um..." you stalled, not sure what to say.
"See, daddy knows what you need," he explained. "So just shut up and take it."
He hit you until your legs were giving out, and you were crumpling down onto the couch under you with weak little sobs. You were crying out like it hurt you, which it did, but you were arching your back deeper, too.
When he stopped suddenly, you heard him opening his belt and you really didn't know if he was just taking his cock out or if he was going to hit you with that, too. All you did was try to straighten your legs again to take whatever he would give you-- like a good girl.
He hooked a finger into your barely-there panties and pulled them to the side, chuckling lowly at how wet you were.
"Soaked through this cheap lace, baby," he noticed proudly. "You like when daddy gives you some discipline?"
You nodded and bit your lip, but it fell wide open in a gasp when he roughly shoved his cock inside you, all the way. "Ow! Fuck, Em, s'too deep," you yelped, reaching behind you and trying to push his hips back, but he grabbed your wrist and held it down in front of you, only rutting into you faster and deeper in response.
"Nuh uh, babydoll," he scolded, "you're gonna take it all. S'what you fuckin' deserve-- you're gonna take all of this fuckin' dick."
You whined and tried to arch your back away, but there was no escape from how deep he was inside you, nor how hard he was fucking you.
Even though it did hurt, in a certain way, you knew it was what you needed. Each thrust made you whine and choke, until you finally went limp and accepted it; your eyes rolled back and your whimpers turned into needy moans. "There she is," he growled, "there's my little cockwhore."
You hated how much you loved when he talked like that. And he knew it, too, because he smiled as he felt you get even wetter where he drove himself into you.
"So fuckin' stupid for dick," he noticed with a purr. "Head's all empty now, huh? Just wanna get fucked, don't wanna think? Don't worry, baby, you don't need to. I don't give a fuck what you think. I just like the way you take my cock inside you, that's all that matters."
"Daddy," you panted desperately, legs shaking with the effort to try to hold yourself up. These heels certainly didn't make it any more comfortable.
"You look so fuckin' cute like this," he praised darkly. "Dressed like a bimbo, drooling for cock... I could just come in you right now and leave, then would you learn your lesson? Learn that all a cheap slut deserves is to get used and filled and left with come running down her legs?"
"Nooo, daddy, please," you pouted, barely able to string words together with how he was pounding you into the couch.
"Okay, princess," he offered sweetly, "I'll make you come first. But when I'm rubbing your poor little clit until you can't take anymore, and making you come until you pass out, you're gonna wish you'd taken me up on my offer when you had the chance..."

Emmett Cullen with a reader with Tourette’s? Maybe hcs for before they turn and after they turn when they lose the tics and is adjusting to the new feeling
𝕰𝖒𝖒𝖊𝖙𝖙 𝕮𝖚𝖑𝖑𝖊𝖓
He definitely gets Carlisle to give him many many lectures and lessons about Tourettes while you are still human
he wants to learn absolutely everything he can about it to understand you more and be there for you more
he doesn't actually tell you that he's doing this though, so one day someone will ask you something and he'll just casually answer for you without even paying attention
When you break into a loop of ticks that you get stuck in, at first he is a little confused as to how to help you, but eventually he gets to know that you need to be left alone/have him walk you through it/ whatever else you could need.
Embarrassing ticks? Don't you worry about that. Nobody is looking at you during that time as he's done something incredibly stupid or embarrassing for himself instead.
Once during lunch when a tick decided that it wanted to launch the orange you were eating into the window beside you, Emmett was more than happy to turn that into a whole cafeteria wide food fight.
Did anyone see you? No. Was it necessary? No. But this is Emmett we're talking about.
So he took one of his hard boiled eggs and threw it directly into Edwards face. He wasn't playing along though, so a second egg was launched to Mike Newton.
Chaos, detentions, giggles
After you get turned and no longer feel the effects of tourettes, he kind of misses it. At least, he loves the random memories you two made because of it and the unnecessary extremities he would go to to be 'even' with you.
I'm not quite sure you you yourself would feel to not have tourettes anymore. Yes it came with sacrifices to be a vampire and that's a different kind of impulse. But it was part of you for years of your life an d just like that, in one night, gone.
Though you definitely have some fully memories with Emmett because of it though.

I wonder how different things would be if Esme was the vampire who sired Rosalie? I mean, it's likely that she wasn't thinking about trying to play the matchmaker, but rather she would see the aftermath of the unfair treatment inflicted upon this naïve young girl who really didn't do anything to deserve it. Esme was a former victim and a survivor of DA at the hands of her cruel ex-husband! I'm sure she could've put the pieces together with Rosalie's injuries and felt that urge to try and save her. Even if you took Esme's restraint into account, I think her maternal instinct would triumph over the innate hunger for blood. It's less superficial, given Rosalie learned about Esme's past and understood, but it does retain the issue that Rose didn't have any choice (unless Esme managed to talk to her on her deathbed?) Either way, it feels like a better route than having Carlisle be everyone's vampiric sire.
I honestly don't think it would make too much of a difference in the long run.
I think the point of it, such as there was a point, was Carlisle learning not to play god. As SM explained, turning Edward worked out pretty good (he's moody and emo but he flat-out says he's never blamed Carlisle because Edward's life was over anyway), and Esme worked out even better (less angst + romantic love). So he's on a streak of successful turnings and then he 'saves' Rosalie it doesn't go well and he's like, yikes, I need to stop doing this. He learns his lesson. He only turns Emmett because Rosalie begs him and he's trying to make things up to her.
If Esme had turned Rosalie instead and Rosalie was unhappy, I think Carlisle would have learned the same lesson, so that wouldn't change. I could imagine that Rosalie would be somewhat less resentful of Esme than of Carlisle, because Rosalie can relate to Esme more, but I always assumed she bonded with Esme first and that might have been more difficult if Esme were the sire, and I don't see Rosalie easily bonding with Carlisle even if he weren't the one to turn her. So that initial integration into the family might have been different; less resentment toward Carlisle but still not much trust; less immediate bonding with Esme though.
By the same token, there's really no reason that Rosalie couldn't have been the one to turn Emmett, and then Carlisle's only turned Edward and Esme and there's more variety in vampiric sire relationships in the family.
However my sense is that Carlisle is the one because of SM's vision of a nuclear vampire family and he is the patriarch. And also because she wants Edward eventually turning Bella to be special. If Esme and Rosalie have also turned people it makes Edward turning Bella less impactful. It's just a run of the mill vampire thing, see even Esme and/or Rosalie have done it. If Carlisle is the only one in the family who has turned people and Carlisle is this one of kind, 200-years-of-torturous-effort exception, than you get the impression that it takes a lot of restraint to successfully turn someone, and Edward turning Bella still gets to be impressive.

I so wish I kept wish ASL back in high school but even then (cuz of this show!!) I learned some but not enough to talk with it.. I can kinda tell signs but not enough to know know. Sigh need an app like Duolingo but for ASL.. all the ones I find aren’t free after one or two lessons. Or just aren’t helpful. I used to use lifeprint but I like how Duolingo is laid out more like ‘game’ lessons to help idk.

SO GOOD!!! 🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹 If you're open to specific requests/have thought about it yet, could we hear more about some of the other former victors? I have a feeling there are some more familiar names who will be in the Quarter Quell...
Thank you and thanks for this ask! 🧡 Hope you don't mind that I answer this in bullet points and not in sentences I'd keep in the fic, I have had some thoughts but not much is planned out or decided yet tbh ^^ Here's some people who will definitely be victors:
Bobby Nash, District 12. Has a book of all the names of the tributes that died during his Games and then all of the names of the tributes he feels he failed as mentor. Was married to Marcy and had Rob Jr. and Brook but when he starts voicing Opinions about the Games his house in the Victors’ Village inexplicably burns down. The ruin of it is still there to see and Bobby starts drinking to deal with all of the additional guilt he feels.
Athena Grant, District 11 (what's left of Florida?). Went into the Games with Emmett Washington and came out alone; they were in a relationship when they were reaped. She sees herself and Emmett in Buck and Eddie. She married Michael and had May and Harry but was looking for a way to get her children away from Panem before they become eligible for the Hunger Games. She succeeded and now they are in District 13 while she had to stay behind. She does not know if they made it and how they are. Michael meets David in District 13.
Tommy Kinard, District 4. The youngest victor to ever win at age 14. Like Finnick Ordair he was pretty much pressured into prostitution and used that to get hovercraft flying lessons (among other things).
Sal Deluca, District 4. Haven’t given him much thought so far ^^'
Carson, District 3. Because I need more of him and Josh. I don’t know how I’ll include Josh so far but I want to include both of them.
And some people I'm still thinking about. I've added what I'd make their story be if they are victors but I haven't fully decided yet:
Doug Kendall, District ?. He met Maddie as he was touring the districts and they fell in love. Thanks to his status as a victor they were allowed to marry despite the fact that they are from different districts (at least I think that would be hard for normal people to achieve?). She agreed to it despite hardly knowing him and it did not turn out well. In his district she later meets Chimney and falls in love with him but I haven’t really thought about how all of that will go down.
Hen, District 5?. She turns towards healing and helping people after the trauma of the Games.
Chimney, District ?. Would be from the same district as Doug. But I’m really not sure about making him a victor.
Eva Mathis, District ?. She understands what Hen went through in a way Karen can never. Deals with the trauma by taking drugs.
Claudette Collins, District ?. Something fire-based happened during her Games.
Lena Bosko, District ?. Deals with the trauma through fighting. Ronnie Cooper was her mentor and he was crucial to her survival.
Lou Ransone, District ?. Was thought dead when somebody slit his throat and a canon sounded at pretty much the same time. Since this was right at the end of the games none of the other tributes learned he was still alive. The two thinking they were the last tributes killed each other, making Ransone the victor.
I will also need to make a timeline of who won when but that is a problem for future me ^^

DOCTOBER '23 ⸺ 「 22 / 31 * CONSTELLATION 」
April 19, 1886
❝What do we need to learn about the stars for, Miss Clayton?❞ young eight-year-old Margaret—Maggie—Barnes pipes up, trailing close to her teacher's back. All the students, and Clara as well, had foregone their usual schoolday clothing in favour of warmer clothes and garments they wouldn't mind getting dirty on this late-night lesson. ❝They're all the way up there; it's not like we can get 'em, not like the plants you showed us last week. Those were pretty.❞
❝One moment, dear.❞ Clara ushers the last of the children into the town square, keeping a mental tally of everyone as they pass through the light of her lantern. All ten are present and accounted for.
Bringing up the rear are the Thompson siblings Max and Christopher, ages ten and twelve respectively, and as they get closer, Clara overhears enough of their conversation to twist her previously calm expression into a frown.
Christopher is grinning, telling stories about ghosts that come out at night to steal away people when their lanterns go out. Sophie Doyle screeches, causing Clara to jump.
❝Christopher!❞ Clara says sternly, and her tone of voice is enough to immediately grind that conversation to a halt. ❝I'll not have you frightening the younger children.❞ Christopher jams his hands into his pockets and grumbles a half-hearted apology that Clara knows is insincere.
❝Do you see the lanterns over there? Mister Brown has kindly offered to help set up our experiment for this evening, so go straight over there and join him and don't keep him waiting.❞ Emmett, as if on cue, waves to the approaching group of schoolchildren as an eager chorus of yes, ma'ams and agreements ring out from the students.
Clara smiles. Though this had been her job for several years now, it was taxing being Hill Valley's only schoolteacher. Emmett was a big hit with the children, ever since he had first offered to assist with some of her lessons.
His infectious enthusiasm brought an energy and life to the lessons that resonated with the children. They associated him with fun and excitement. He had a way of presenting the information that was still informative yet never assumed that even the youngest child was unable to appreciate and understand all that science had offered.
They were eager to learn, for when Mister Brown was joining in on the lessons, it meant something much more interesting than reading their books and writing and memorising was in store. They were taken in by his grandiose gestures and his obvious passion.
When he taught, he made sure everybody understood, and it was the mark of an intellectual—an expert—to be able to present complex material in a simplified way without sacrificing information.
❝Mister Brown knows about the stars too?❞ Maggie asks, sounding far more enthused about the idea than she'd been just a moment ago.
❝Of course he does.❞
Emmett invites the children to gather round with a sweep of his arm and now brings attention to the golden telescope set up at his side. Clara comes to stand at the opposite side of the telescope and the kids form a sloppy half-circle around their teachers, outlined by flickering red-orange lights.
❝Now children,❞ Clara starts, sweeping her gaze across each of her students' faces, ❝before I outline tonight's experiment, there is something I need to make clear. This telescope is a delicate piece of equipment, so Mister Brown and I will help each of you when it's your turn. Show him the same courtesy you would show me and be careful with the equipment. Do you understand?❞
Another chorus of agreements ring out and Clara nods, satisfied.
❝Good. Now, you'll remember that our lessons the past few days have been focused on astronomy and identifying the major constellations in the sky. Tonight, we are going to use this telescope to actually look at some of them. Mister Brown went through a lot of effort to get us that star chart for our lesson.❞ Emmett bends down and pulls out the star chart from his backpack, neatly folded to avoid wrinkles or damage.
❝Does anybody remember any of the constellations?❞
Immediately, Victoria Davis shouts out, ❝The Big Dipper! Daddy told me about this one even before our lesson. Oh, and there's a little one, too!❞
❝Well done, Victoria,❞ Emmett chimes in, and the young girl beams. ❝While those are some of the most recognisable stars in the night sky, they're not actually constellations themselves. They're called asterisms, which is a group of stars that can be part of a larger—❞
❝—So what?❞ Celia Ford pouts and crosses her arms over her chest. ❝It's not like they're important. They're just stars.❞
Emmett and Clara exchange looks. Clara looks ready to scold the young lady for being rude, but Emmett, unperturbed, continues. ❝So what? The stars are incredibly important. Why, they have been the objects of fascination and intrigue for hundreds of years!❞
He gestures to the sky where the stars twinkle overhead, pinprick lights punched through a sea of perfect black.
❝And, Celia, they are important. Let's take Victoria's examples of the Big and Little Dipper. As I was saying, they're part of two larger constellations: Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. Or, Great Bear and Little Bear.❞
Emmett lifts his head to the sky, searching for the constellations in question. Once he spots the telling bowl of the Big Dipper, he shuffles around to stand in the centre of the children and crouches down to their height, directing their attention skyward with his finger.
While Emmett has the attention of the children, Clara comes around to the telescope and adjusts it until it points at Ursa Major, but not without first stealing a long glance at Emmett while he's distracted.
❝Do you see it there?❞ It takes a second, but the children answer in the affirmative. ❝That's the Big Dipper, but if you follow it this way❞—he slowly traces a path through the neighbouring stars, completing the line through some of the more difficult to see stars—❝you get the rest of the constellation which makes a large bear in the sky.❞
After a moment and a few nods from the kids, Emmett moves his finger back to the top of the bowl of the Big Dipper and lets it stay there.
❝How many of you have heard of the North Star?❞
❝I expect all of you to say you have, because we covered this on Thursday and Friday in preparation for tonight's experiment.❞
Emmett smiles. ❝The North Star for a long time was one of the most important stars in the sky.❞ He traces a straight line through the night sky, avoiding some of the dimmer surrounding stars until he reaches Polaris, shining brightly at the end of the Little Dipper.
❝If you can imagine it, it's called the North Star because it always points to true north and is located almost directly above the North Pole. And this made it very important for people to know if they were travelling on long journeys. Sailors used it to navigate the high seas, people would use it to find their way home if they were lost.❞
Emmett stands and rubs at his knees while Clara slots in without missing a beat. ❝The North Star has another name, Polaris, which we still use today, and you'll note that it's the last star on the handle of the Little Dipper. It forms part of the tail of the bear of Ursa Minor.❞
Clara looks over the children again and there's even a spark of intrigue in Celia's dark eyes that wasn't there a moment ago. They're buzzing with excitement, and Clara knows that they won't have much by way of attention left if they don't get to the heart of the experiment. Many of the children are already staring longingly at the telescope.
❝Emmett, would you help them with the telescope? I think we've talked enough. It's positioned on Ursa Major right now, but let them try and find Polaris and look around the sky a little.❞ The kids make several shouts of excitement and the sloppy half-circle dissolves into a horribly uneven single-file line.
❝Miss Clayton? Why are they bears?❞ Maggie asks, looking up at her teacher. ❝Why not a dog? Aren't dogs better at helping find people?❞

hi, i love your posts a lot and hope you're doing well!
you may have covered it before, but do you have any headcanons about the early years of doc and marty's friendship? i always find myself wondering how they went from a awkward employer and employee relationship, to the close bond we see them share in the films. i would love to know your thoughts!
Hello! Thank you; I hope you're also doing well :)
This kind of connects to an ask I had gotten a while ago about how long I thought it took Marty to fully trust Doc. My answer was: immediately, lol.
Basically, I don't think there was much (if any!) of an awkward period between them. In my head, it essentially went like this:
Doc *upon finding 14-year-old Marty had broken into his garage*: "Um. Hello, there. My name is Doctor Emmett Brown."
Marty: "Hey, I'm Marty."
Doc and Marty: *exchanging friendship bracelets*
I mean, in the comic book depiction of their initial meeting, Marty doesn't even care about discussing the pay Doc offers him. He says, "I'll be happy just to be the guy who knows Doctor Emmett L. Brown!" And. And! Doc's journals in the DeLorean Time Machine manual contain an entry written the day he meets Marty, where he writes, "I have a good feeling about the lad, and feel confident I can trust him." They are literally only hours post-meeting, and Doc has already put his full trust into this kid who snuck in through his window earlier that afternoon. Love it. Now for headcanons.
Obviously, Marty likes Doc from the get-go simply because he thinks he's really interesting and cool and smart, but I think--for Twin Pines Marty, at least--a lot of that initial connection comes from him being sort of starved for attention from a caring, adult figure. Every grown-up around Marty is dysfunctional. His father is oblivious and discouraging, his mother is a sad alcoholic, Biff is an abusive bully, and Strickland thinks Marty is a punk kid destined for a life of failure.
^^ I feel like this meme is fitting
Anyway, Marty then suddenly has this adult in his life who...likes him? Thinks he's smart and has potential? Doesn't talk to him like he's an idiot? I absolutely think that Marty was instantly like, "I am going to spend every possible waking moment here." Doc goes ahead and slaps the Flex Tape right over Marty's damaged self-esteem.
Those early first few months are filled with Doc slipping mini science lessons into all the time they spend together. Marty goes into the whole assistant gig with very limited knowledge, but he's eager to learn. Doc quickly figures out the best way Marty learns and absorbs information, and he gives him a lot of the basic facts and skills that he needs to be able to help around the lab.
I think it actually takes a while for Marty to open up about his family life. Doc has an inkling that home isn't such a great place, but he has no clue how to approach the subject and wonders if it's even appropriate to do so. They both dance around the topic for a long while until it all comes tumbling out of Marty one evening. Doc, having had his own unhappy relationship with his father, empathizes with his new friend, though I don't see Doc as being quick to share any stories of his own. He mostly avoids the subject when Marty tries to ask about his childhood (maybe just sharing stories of his mother). He does eventually talk about his father, but it's a tough thing to do.
Related to the above, I think Marty's little cot was an addition to the lab in those early few months of friendship. There were nights they were either working late, or Marty just didn't seem to want to go home, and Doc didn't want him having to sleep slouched in a chair or on top of a table. Marty walked into the garage one day, and there was suddenly a bed for him.
Contrary to the comics, I DO NOT headcanon that Doc gave that nickname to himself. Marty did, and it probably happened on day one or two of them knowing each other. He just went, "Yo, Doc," and Doc momentarily paused in brief confusion before going, "Huh, guess that's my name now." But Doc loves it because it's the first kind nickname he's ever been given.
From the moment Doc finds out Marty's a musician, he tells Marty he'd like to hear him play. Marty wants to be able to share his music with his new friend, but he's also really nervous. What if Doc thinks he stinks? Eventually, he builds up the courage and brings his guitar to the garage one night. He has Doc (and Einie's) full attention, and they both love his music. Doc is quite impressed with Marty's talent and encourages him to continue to build those skills and share his songs. Sometimes, Doc requests a certain song, and Marty does his best to learn to play it.
That's all I can think of at the moment! Thanks for the ask!

Me Obsessing Over DMDC Foils
Theia vs Fluor: One will always put themselves first and the other will always put others first and both need to learn the opposite lesson. It’s a toxic friendship that feeds into each others worst attributes. They deeply care about each other but if nothing changes it feels doomed.
Elegy vs Emmett: Two self sacrificing kids. One because he doesn’t value himself enough and the other because she thinks she’s capable of anything. Both rushing to an early grave if they don’t stop.
Corvus vs David: It’s insane how one is reserved and the other is gung ho about everything and yet, it’s Corvus who struggles with rage and David who struggles with doubt.
Arlayna vs Fluor: An unconfident habitual leader and a hyper-confident habitual follower, practically designed to butt heads as they continuously project their past traumas onto each other.
Caro vs Theia: The quickest radicalized of the DMDC. Never quite apologizing for what they did or necessarily seeing anything wrong with it. But Theia is in environment where she can start seeing the error of that choice and Caro is not.
Surya vs Elegy: One talented liar vs another talented lie detector. Both using their skills to deflect attention from their inner selves and worry about the people around them but one disguises it as selfishness and the other as empathy.
Caro/Surya vs David: He never trusted the boys at first because they were criminals but David was the first to part from his life and become one by Act 2. By the time he did that, the boys had already progressed so far down their criminal paths he couldn’t connect with them over it.
Corvus vs Theia: Her empathy lets her look at everyone around her as a person even as that causes her to contradict herself and her beliefs. His virtue lets him stand firm for what is right at the cost of being ready to judge others.
Emmett vs Arlayna: Both unconfident prodigies. But where Emmett is surrounded by love and family, Arlayna lost hers years ago and doesn’t believe she deserves any more. Emmett meanwhile feels like he doesn’t deserve what love is there because of his missing mother.
Surya vs Fluor: One is obsessed with both ends of her lineage while one couldn’t care less about his. Both experienced traumatic racism because of their bloodlines but Fluor decided to embrace hers while Surya decided he’d ignore his.
The Maanzecorian vs The Ilsensine: The Ever Evolving vs Evolution’s End

Riley
"I still don't understand why I have to wear these stupid clothes" Vlad whined as we got out of my 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 "because we need to blend in. And the clothes we normally wear aren't gonna help us blend in. We just have to wait a little longer until Bella gets here" I said sitting on the boot of my car. Suddenly a loud noise was heard through the parking lot "is that her?" I smiled seeing her car. She was driving a 1963 Chevy sidestep C-10 pickup. Which weren't around as much as they used to now days.
"Yep that's her" Vlad grumbled as I dragged him over to her. "Hey Bells!" She smiled as she got out of her car "hey Ri" "nice truck" "thanks" Bella led us to the office where we got our schedules and maps "looks like we have all classes together" I said looking over Vlad and I's schedules. Vladimir didn't see anything in doing this kind of thing but he did it for me cause despite what he often says or does, he has those rare moments where he'll tell me he loves me.
"You guys have history first" Bella quickly led us to our class before running off to her own. "Ok class we have two new students. Please meet Riley and Vladimir Romanian. Ms Romanian you'll be next to Mr Hale and Mr Romanian you'll be with Ms Cullen. Mr Hale, Ms Cullen, please raise your hand"
I walked to the back of the classroom to find a young man with blonde curls, a lean but muscular body. And he had beautiful butterscotch eyes. "Ok class today we'll be learning about the civil war. Can anyone give me a fact about it?"
Jasper
I rose my hand but the new girl beside me spoke before I got a word out "the civil war started April 12th 1861 and ended in May 13th 1865. The cause of the Civil War started because of uncompromising differences between the free and slave states over the power of the national government to prohibit slavery in the territories that had not yet become states" "amazing Ms Romanian!" Mr Farley said surprised. I slowly put my hand down as I looked over at her in surprise myself.
"Well class I'll be handing you an assignment that will be due in two weeks. You can choose any war you want but you have to have the assignment done and handed in by the end of those two weeks. Your partner will be your desk buddy so get to it" when we locked eyes it felt like we were the only two in the room.
"I was thinking about doing the one hundred year war" I nodded and we started researching "you can come over this weekend and we can work on it then seeing as our next history lesson is Friday, you free Sunday?" She nodded as the bell went before quickly walking out.
I headed to the cafeteria where the rest of my siblings would be waiting. Once everyone arrived we walked in like usual and sat down at our table, the usual Cullen gossip going around until The Romanian siblings walked in with lunch trays.
They walked to an empty table in the corner of the cafeteria and sat down "something's off about those two" Edward said glaring at them "oh be quiet Edward. You’re just saying that cause they know your blood bag" Rosalie sneered.
“they're human's just like her" "which is bad" I said. Rosalie looked at me in confusion "why?" "Because the girl is my mate" Rosalie sighed but said nothing which was a surprise being that she hated Bella.
“What no snide comment?” Edward sneered “Edward a mate is very different from a blood singer” Rosalie sneered back to which Edward scoffed “whatever” he mumbled, not audible to human hearing but for vampires it was as if at normal volume. Once the bell went Rosalie Emmett and I headed to our last class of the day, English.
When I walked in I saw Riley and her brother sitting at the table in front of mine and Alice’s “ok settle down class!” The teacher yelled as we sat down. Once the day ended we headed towards the cars. I leaned against Emmett and I’s Jeep and watched as Riley, her brother and the Swan girl walked across the lot “you should go talk to your girl” Emmett chuckled patting my back. As Riley reached her car she turned and locked eyes.
“It’s more complicated than that Emmett” I sighed as she hugged the swan girl and got in her car, driving away “Shouldn’t you already know if she likes you or not?” He said as I jumped in the passenger seat with Rosalie and Alice in the back.
“no, I don’t know why but I can’t get a read on her, it’s like she’s a blank slate” “don’t worry Jasper, you’ll figure something out” Rosalie said patting my shoulder.
I looked behind me confused “what’s with you? First you hate Bella and then when I tell you that Riley was my mate your on board with it?” “…look Jasper, while I’m against Edward and Bella being together, I want you to be happy but also that a mate is completely different from a blood singer. There someone who will love you for the rest of you life while a blood singer is only a possibility of a mate. Edward could always be wrong and that could endanger our family”
I gave her a small smile before looking back out the window. When we reached home I headed to my room after grabbing a book on the hundred year war from Carlisle’s library “the hundred year war?” I looked to see Carlisle standing in my door way “we’re doing a project on wars and my partner and I chose this war” he nodded while looking at the book “you know it’s funny but while they say it was a hundred year war it was actually 116 years” I nodded my head curiously.
“Well thanks Carlisle, I’ll make sure to come to you if we need help Sunday” he smiled at me before leaving. I looked out the window to see it heavily raining again ‘hmm. I wonder what Riley’s doing right now?’

Wreakless - Photography Exhibition
*Warning Adult Content*
Emmett Locke
We're having a perfectly nice meal on Thursday evening when I mention the exhibit that's being put on tomorrow. It's been on my mind all week but I'm ready.
The canvases are all dropped off and I can finally look forward to it instead of just being nervous.
Strike that, I'm still nervous but there's some excitement along with it instead of just fear.
There are two other people the class that I'm really excited about seeing their work and even if the exhibit tanks... I have learned a ton.
"Tomorrow?" Finnegan gasps, then pulls his cell-phone from his pocket.
"I thought it was Saturday. What time?"
"Three to six, why?"
What is that look for?
"I can't with you sometimes, Emmett. Why?"
This boy really knows how to scoff.
That is a massive eyeroll.
Looks painful.
Oh.
"You don't have to come or anything, darling."
Again, a look.
Oooh, his nose is into it now, he's squelching it up at me and those eyes are not happy.
What?
"Do you not WANT me to come?"
No, no.
"You're welcome, of course Finnegan but I know you're starting production Monday and I remember what happened last time so I don't want you to worry about it."
"I'm worried because you're telling me this now. If you had mentioned it before I could have scheduled around it. I'm gonna tell Megan this is your fault."
Anything but that... I need Megan on my good side so that I can sneak into his office for fun lunches. Yesterday was really, really nice.
"Finnegan, really, you don't have to come."
"Because? No, no, don't answer that. I'm coming."
"It's just photography, Finnegan."
I know how he feels about it and museums so I don't expect him to be interested.
"Just because we're together doesn't mean you have to do shit you don't enjoy."
He reaches out and grabs my hand.
"I don't care if you're smearing shit on the walls and setting it on fire, Emmett Locke... this is your thing and I will support your thing."
Okay, he's scary now.
"You ever watch dance moms? You're scaring me, darling."
"No, I have no time for foolishness. And for the record... I enjoy your photography quite a bit. Is this about the 'art' comment at the Walters? Look, I apologize and even if I don't think it's art, that doesn't mean I can't appreciate it. I don't think golf is a sport but I have no problem with people playing it, Emmett. You can be really good at something that's not... Okay, bad example but whatever. Ugh, you. What is with you tonight?"
Then he mocks me, faking my voice.
"It's only this hugely important exhibition that I've been wanting to do for years. Why would you, my boyfriend, want to come?"
I'm laughing, I can't help it.
He even pushes fake hair out of his face.
I get up and take our dishes to the sink.
"Oh stop."
"No, you stop. I'm coming no matter what you say."
Now it's his turn to blush.
"That sounded SO dirty."
"Yes it did and I may have to teach you a lesson, darling."
When I turn around he's smiling and walking towards me.
"I love lessons and I'm sure you have some pent up energy with tomorrow and all, don't you?"
"I do. We can't have me going into the exhibition all pent up, as you so eloquently put it. We're gonna hammer some of that out right now."
Finnegan Walker
We have a fault on the line and the circuit boards aren't passing.
I wanted to be out of here ten minutes ago to head over to Emmett's exhibition and instead I'm on the floor talking to my engineers.
They seem to have a solid plan, thankfully.
"Look, tweak it and run it again. I'll be back."
I've never been to this campus but the building they're holding the exhibition in is massive and there are a million cars here.
I'm way overdressed so I lose my jacket and take off my tie.
Better.
Still, better to be overdressed than under although it's getting really hard to be under dressed anymore.
Seriously, the things people wear outdoors shocks me.
I wouldn't wear half of that in front of Marten, much less other people.
I sign in and go through the double doors and am taken aback.
It's fancy and really well done and there's a ton of variety.
I pass by six large photographs of faces but they've been edited so all the colors are strange.
It's hard to describe.
A section of small black and white cityscapes ends abruptly and the next student's photos are all of nudes.
Everything is covered, mostly but I'm struck by how angry all of the subjects look.
I see Emmett's now, he has the large corner at the end of the first path.
"Hi, darling."
He gives me a hug and I know he doesn't mind me being here.
It makes rearranging things today more than worth it.
"Thanks for coming," he whispers into my ear.
The first picture I notice is my car.
Well, my old roadster.
The bumper and headlight is smashed in and there's no doubt that he took this right after the accident.
"You photographed this?" I ask, reaching towards it.
"Don't touch the photographs," a guard yells and I yank my hand back.
"Sorry."
Emmett just puts his hand around my waist to reassure me.
"I did. The before and after. That's the theme of my collection," he tells me.
I spend a few minutes looking at all of them and though I recognize two, the rest are all new to me.
"These are really good, Emmett. Not that I'd know but..."
"Thank you. I actually talked to a guy, he wants to buy the rights to the beach one. They supply hotels and doctor's offices, stuff like that."
He's smiling and sounds really proud of himself.
I don't know exactly what that entails but...
"Congratulations, Emmett."
I'll get my lawyers to look over whatever they send him.
"Thanks. He's talking a ridiculous amount of money for a photo. Maybe I can go down to part time at the garage and have more time to take care of you and do some photography."
"More time for photography definitely sounds good to me and I'm not gonna argue with the other part either, Emmett. I'm behind you one hundred percent, do whatever makes you happy."
My cell-phone chirps and I have to check it.
Looks like we're up and running.
"Crap, it's work. I really need to go back soon. I'm sorry."
"Don't be, I didn't expect you at all, really."
I've circled back and I'm staring at the wreck that started it all.
"At the exhibit or in your life, Emmett?"
"Both but I'm really glad you're here. Who knew that you turning on red would be such a good thing for me?"
"It was yellow," I hiss
"But you're right, it was definitely worth it... air bag trauma and all."
Someone important is trying to get his attention and I step back.
"I'm going to go. I'll take you out to dinner to celebrate."
"That sounds good...and darling?"
"Yes?"
I love when he calls me that.
I love that he does it in public.
I love that he loves every single part of me.
I'm a lucky, lucky man.
"Drive safe."
I always do.

If they were imprisoned, would they try to escape? How?
What makes them sincerely smile? And what does that look like, is it a big broad grin or a little quirk only those closest would know the meaning of?
There's a great big scary monster in front of them...and it's hurt, bleeding, whimpering as any wounded animal. What do they do?
Someone they care deeply for has been stolen, what's the rescue plan?
Thank you for the ask! You found some excellent ones...
If they were imprisoned, would they try to escape? How?
Rory: She's only going to try to escape if she thinks she stands a decent chance of succeeding in both the escape and after she's free. She's lived her whole life in a city that basically functions as one giant prison for the magically Gifted, and despite the fact that she can leave, has no motivation to, since she's fairly sure she'd be caught using her magic on the outside and brought back only to end up in the more secured actual prison in Rime. She doesn't intend to make life worse for herself, so she's not going to attempt an escape unless she's sure success is actually worth it. If she does, it's going to be through calling in every favor she's built up, getting the people who owe her something on her side to break her out.
Emmett: If he doesn't know if his son is going to be taken care of, he'd do whatever it took to get free and at least make sure Carlo would be okay. If he feels like he's done what he can to leave Carlo in safe hands, he's not going anywhere, and certainly not risking having someone try to track him down and put his son in danger in the process. He would miss having Carlo as a part of his life, but if he was sure that being locked up was the best way to keep his son safe, he would accept it. If he were to escape, it would probably be a pretty well-planned process that uses some of the carpentery skills he has, and he probably wouldn't be above some (empty, but they don't need to know that) threats of harm to some guards if it came to that.
What makes them sincerely smile? And what does that look like, is it a big broad grin or a little quirk only those closest would know the meaning of?
Rory: Tiny thoughtful gestures. She's not used to anyone looking out for her, and any time she doesn't have to do something for herself, and the gesture isn't framed in pity or as a ploy to make her indebted to someone for it, she'd give them a small glimpse of a smile. She rarely grins, it's usually just a little quirk of her lips. But if she does smile at all, it's the real thing and she means it. Rime hasn't given her too many reasons to show one.
Emmett: His son. Before they lost the woodshop, Carlo was just learning to whittle, and his descriptions of what it was he'd been attempting to make could always get a genuine grin from Emmett, a really wide, bright smile that's pretty infectious. He's hung onto a few of the monstrosities that resulted from the whittling lessons, and while he doesn't really smile as often or as freely as he used to, they can still coax a little bit of that happiness out.
There's a great big scary monster in front of them...and it's hurt, bleeding, whimpering as any wounded animal. What do they do?
Rory: Assess the situation. She's not putting herself at risk for anything, no matter how pitiful and vulnerable it may seem. She's not going to let her guard down around it, even if she does decide to help. Rory's first and foremost concern is her own safety, and even a wounded animal could be a threat to that. She'll help if she feels safe to do so, but chances are, she wouldn't.
Emmett: Depending on whether he has Carlo with him or not, his response is going to be a lot different. If he has Carlo, his primary concern is going to be keeping his son away from a wounded thing that might lash out in pain. If he's by himself, he'd be a lot more likely to try and help, while still hoping to minimize any risk, since he's the only person left looking out for Carlo, but he wouldn't be able to just make himself walk away without doing anything.
Someone they care deeply for has been stolen, what's the rescue plan?
Rory: She can literally track their whereabouts, so as long as she has a weapon and maybe some backup from the people who owe her a favor, she's just going to find them, do some recon, and then come up with a plan to retrieve them. Depending on how intense the situation is, she might con her way in using her messenger job to get through anyone trying to stop her, or she might decide this calls for brute force and call in her reinforcements.
Emmett: Honestly probably panic first. Then see if he can figure out who might want to do something like that and if he can make a deal with them. He's likely to try and do anything he can to resolve the situation without escalating it, including making a trade of some sort, either whatever ransom might have been demanded, or offering whoever it is to take him instead and let the other person go, and he'll go willingly.
From this ask game!

Till Review - A Movie That Shouldnt Need To Exist
Till is a profoundly emotional and cinematic film about the true story of Mamie Till Mobley’s relentless pursuit of justice for her 14-year-old son, Emmett Till, who, in 1955, was lynched while visiting his cousins in Mississippi. In Mamie’s poignant journey of grief turned to action, we see the universal power of a mother’s ability to change the world. The Good This movie has the burden of trying to tell a traumatic story without actually portraying the trauma on screen. Even with this burden Till succeeds and becomes visually and emotionally arresting with its storytelling. There are moments when you can feel the tension of the moment even when the moment is off-screen. The cinematography comes off very strongly throughout these moments in Till. The camera actually feels like our window into this story and we are witnessing these events firsthand. The camera angles also help convey the tension and anxiety of some visually powerful scenes. Danielle Deadwyler is amazing as Mamie Till-Mobley. She is incredible in her performance and adds to the ease of immersion into this film. Danielle is supported by Jalyn Hall, Frankie Faison, and more but Danielle is always the centerpiece of a scene. I really enjoy her in this film and I love her chemistry with Jalyn Hall. Young Emmit has a glow to him that scares his mother when she knows he will be traveling without her. I felt her concern when she warns her son about the dangers of the south and I felt her bravery as Mamie's bravery after the tragedy. This is a very difficult movie for me to watch because of how easy it is to imagine myself in Emmett's story. The pacing of Till feels slow but that's because of the difficult subject matter. The moment of Till's murder isn't on-screen but it is represented in the film and every second is agonizing. Some of the best films are the ones the audience can relate to and my ability to see myself in this story is powerful. The Bad Movies like Till shouldn't need to exist. Overall There's a lot of anxiety leading up to the moment of Emmett's murder. thankfully the movie mercifully spared us from seeing the actual murder. There's a measure of emotional truth in this film and the lessons that society can learn from this story. Injustices like this continue to happen today. I am pleasantly surprised by the care that the filmmakers give to the story of Emmett. I knew a bit about Emmett's story but this movie inspires you to learn more about the injustice and tragedy around his life. Read the full article

"How ungrateful!", I say with a fake-hurt tone, but it would be no fun with he simply give in, "You have so much to learn!", I sigh as if disappointed, "But it's okay, let's start over, I'll get you some more water and I'll keep on give it to you until you thank me properly", my voice was sweet and so was the smile I gave him before leaving.
I came back a few minutes late, in my hand is a pot with steam leaving it, of course there would be steam with how the water was, but I was careful not to burn myself.
Before he could process what was happening I already had grabbed his hair, after a few days without food or water he was too weak to get free, "You asked for water didn't you?", I say before starting.
CW: burns, mouth whump
It takes Emmett a moment to realize just what the woman was planning. Getting more water sounded good, but she was definitely threatening him, so where was the catch?
He figures it out pretty quickly once she comes back holding a steaming kettle.
He tries to get away when she grabs his hair, but he's exhausted. He's had no food, and only the tiniest amount of water in the past few days. She holds him easily, shaking him a little like a cat scruffing a kitten.
"You asked for water, didn't you?" she says sweetly.
He tries to keep his mouth closed when she starts, but she grips his jaw with her other hand and forces it open. Then the kettle is at his lips and she's pouring water into his mouth.
It's not boiling, is his only consolation. The water is still hot enough to burn, though. It burns his tongue, his cheeks, the sensitive roof of his mouth. It spills over onto his chin when he can't keep up with how fast the woman is pouring it in.
By the time she's done, he's gasping. His mouth tastes like blood, and everything throbs with pain in time with his heartbeat. He collapses once she lets go of his hair.
"Now. I believe you have something to say to me?" she says, still in that fake sweet tone.
It takes him a moment to register what she's said, still panting. The cool air flowing through his mouth is the only relief he can get.
"I'll keep on giving it to you until you thank me properly," she had said. Which means...
It means he had to choose between his pride, or doing this ordeal all over again.
"Tha- thank you," he says between gasps. His cheeks are burning, and not all of it is from the hot water.
"See, was that so hard?" she says. She pats his head—like he's a dog—before walking off again.

A NEW WORLD - PART FIVE
A QUIET PLACE 2 FANFIC
Pairing: Emmett x Fem!Reader
Warning: Angst, Gore, Death, Aliens, Violence, Movie Spoilers, etc…
***
Day 2
The entire night, you searched for your brother. You looked everywhere around the baseball field and in the main street. He was nowhere to be found and, at around 2am, you decided to slowly make your way home in the hope that he would be there.
The journey home took you two hours on foot and, when you finally arrived, most of the house was destroyed.
You walked inside only to find your mother’s lifeless body on the floor, torn apart by the creatures. You wanted to scream but covered your mouth, trying not to make a sound.
You dropped to the floor, tears streaming down your face as you tried to collect your thoughts which is when you heard the floorboards crack upstairs.
You quickly stood up before making your way upstairs. From the distance, you could hear one of the creatures roar and you knew you had to be quick.
The first room you went into quietly was Lucas’s room and, sure enough, he was there, hiding behind his bed, shaking in fear.
‘It’s alright’ you indicated with your lips as you hugged him.
In the same moment, you heard a loud bang downstairs and you knew what this meant. One of the creatures was in the house.
Quickly, you indicated to Lucas to hide beneath the study desk with you by his side but, as you scooped beneath it, Lucas accidently hit is head, causing a pencil case to drop onto the floor.
The creature came roaring upstairs and barged through the wall, tearing down the door as you and Lucas closed your eyes, holding each other close.
Lucas moved in front of you instinctively and there was no room for you to move. You knew it didn’t matter as the creature would kill you both and, at least, you would die together you thought.
To your surprise, as the creature approached and tore away the study desk, Lucas pushed you against the back wall and faced the monster.
It was close and it was clear to you that it knew that you were there. But it didn’t attack. Its head moved from one side to the other until it nudged Lucas, making a strange sound before turning around and disappear.
Your eyes widened and your breathing slowed back down. You were unsure what just happened. Why didn’t the creature kill you and Lucas?
You looked at Lucas full of questions and he lifted up his shirt, revealing a large scratch on his abdomen. It wasn’t deep, but it was visible and it clearly was from one of the creatures.
You indicated to Lucas that you would need to leave and he nodded in agreement.
Reaching for one of the pens and some paper scattered on the floor, you decided to communicate with your brother in writing.
‘Joe Spencer’s House. Do you know where it is? you wrote on the paper, knowing that Joe Spencer’s wife was a teacher at Lucas’s school and has provided free tutoring lessons to Lucas in the past when he fell behind.
Lucas nodded and you indicated to him that you would need to pack your bags with anything that could be useful.
After filling your bags with food, water, Lucas’s medication, a map and two torches you walked downstairs to the shed to grab your late stepfather’s hunting rifle and some ammunition before making your way to Joe Spencer’s house.
Joe Spencer had told you several years ago that he was preparing for Dooms Day and everyone laughed at him at the time when he spent $40,000 American Dollars to build a bunker. He believed that it was just a matter of time until the apocalypse would happen and it appears that he was right.
You knew he completed it and stocked it up with food, water and an entire Amory and this was where you would be heading. According to him, the bunker contained enough stock for a family of four to survive for an entire year and was safe from mild radioactivity which meant that it would also likely be sound proof.
***
When you arrived at Joe Spencer’s house following a six-hour journey, you tried to locate the bunker.
It wasn’t easy as it wasn’t clearly visible. He owned several acres and it could be hidden anywhere on his land.
You decided to look through the cabinets in his large office inside the house and, eventually, you found plans from when the bunker was built, allowing you to locate it on the acreage.
How you would get inside the bunker, you did not know but you knew that you had to try.
Just as you were looking through the plans, you could hear the trigger of a gun close to your head.
You turned around to see Maria, Joe Spencer’s wife and, when she realised who you were, she lowered the gun and indicated to you that she was sorry.
You nodded and pointed to the plan and she simply nodded back before handing you a large stack of books one of which was entitled ‘Basic Sign Language’.
Carefully, you carried the books downstairs while Lucas carried your backpacks.
It took you less than thirty minutes to arrive at the bunker and Maria had the passcode to get inside.
There were two doors. One hidden beneath a large tree forcing you to climb down on a ladder and the other was a steel door leading to the facility itself.
When you walked inside, you immediately noticed another young woman sitting on one of the beds. You didn’t recognise her but she greeted you by your first name.
‘Thank you so much’ you whispered to Marie after saying hello to the young woman.
Marie simply nodded before asking you whether you had seen her husband Joe.
‘I am sorry Marie’ you said after you nodded and she immediately broke out in tears.
‘He saved my life, I am so so sorry about what happened to him’ you said, taking her into your arms which is when you learned that the young woman in the bunker was their niece Leanne, Emmett’s youngest sister.
Whilst you knew that Emmett was related to the Spencers, as was everyone in town in one way or another, you couldn’t remember the last time you’ve seen Leanne.
‘I taught all three of you school at some point’ Marie said, trying hard to think about something enjoyable for once before boiling the kettle.
Over the next few hours, you discussed what was happening and how to approach the current situation.
Marie and Leanne were reasonably forthcoming and immediately started to take inventory in order to determine how long you would be able to survive together at the bunker. They both were hopeful that this situation would be resolved soon by the US Army.
You, however, were less forthcoming with them and decided to keep the fact that you were pregnant a secret for now. In addition, you didn’t consider it to be wise to tell them about Lucas’s gift. The creatures weren’t interested in him and you didn’t know why but what you did know was that, if anyone else knew, it might put him into danger.
After debating for hours, it was decided by all of you to remain at the bunker so long as necessary and until, hopefully, you receive a signal from the US Army with further instructions.
