The almost complete but unused in-game encyclopedia, reconstructed thanks to the oasisstrings file.

Part 2: Locations - Holland Valley

Gardenview Packing Facility

The last facility added to the Hadlers' apple empire. They shipped their apples throughout Hope County and beyond. When the cult went red state, the Hadlers stopped their legal threats and resorted to violence.

Silver Lake Trailer Park

A community of people just trying to do their best.

Gardenview Orchards

A part of Doug and Debbie Hadler’s apple empire. After their ciderworks facility, they expanded to a second, larger orchard: Gardenview Orchards. Then they opened the Gardenview Packing Facility.

Rae-Rae's Pumpkin Farm

Fiery matriarch Rae-Rae Bouthillier cares about two things: Prize-winning pumpkins and her dog Boomer.

Gardenview Ciderworks

The first major facility owned by Doug and Debbie Hadler. Ten years ago, they had a dream: an empire made of apples. They nearly achieved it too, until the cult forcibly took over everything they had worked for.

Bridge of Tears

It was called the Mišihrew Bridge when the railroad was still active. It’s now a rickety old train bridge and John Seed's ideal location to send a warning message to all sinners.

Frobisher's Cave

In 1970, a cougar, named "Frobisher" by the locals, killed the star pitcher of a rival baseball team. The Hope County Silver Foxes won that year and changed their name to the Cougars in Frobisher's honor.

Howard Cabin

Home of Niesha Howard, an extreme rock climber from Canada who moved to Montana to be a prepper.

Copperhead Rail Yard

Copperhead Rail was created in the late 1800s by Emmet Reaves. It was shut down in the early 70s and a lot got left behind. It became a place for kids to get drunk or bums to find shelter, then the cult bought it.

Lincoln Lookout Tower

It’s the last working fire tower in the county. A man who worked here promised to help the Strickland family fight off the cult if ever their farm was under attack.

Sergey’s Place

A hobo historian calls this place home. Nobody's seen him in a while though.

Boyd Residence

Will Boyd lives here, or at least he did. No one in the valley talks about him. And for good reason.

Strickland Farm

Property owned by the Strickland family of farmers. No friends to Eden’s Gate.

U.S. Auto

A scrap yard containing trashed cars, broken farm equipment, and even a few busted planes. Eden's Gate uses the garage to build and maintain their convoys.

Doverspike Compound

Les Doverspike was a militia nut and he built himself a bunker. Nobody in the prepper community liked him. Despite that, he was anti-cult and pro-Resistance.

Harris Residence

Mike and Deb Harris were preppers with a cunning plan to keep themselves fed after the end of the world.

Reservoir Construction Yard

Deep North Water wanted to build a new reservoir for the Holland Valley. The company ran out of funding and was chased away by Eden’s Gate.

Dodd’s Dumps

Colin Dodd used to run garbage disposal for the whole Holland Valley, and his business lot shows it. The cult intimidated him into leaving but has yet to sort through all he left behind.

Davenport Farm

The remains of a run-down farm. Local farmers let their cows graze here. Can't let good land go to waste.

Hilgard Electric Power Station

The Holland Valley's power supply is reliant on this transformer station which is controlled by Eden's Gate.

Golden Valley Gas

Once the kind of gas station that gave out free bubble gum to kids, Golden Valley is now a strategic point of gasoline and auto maintenance for the Project at Eden's Gate.

Green-Busch Fertilizer Co.

Facing a decline in business, the Green-Busch family said “yes” and sold the place to John Seed on the condition that locals could keep their jobs and work alongside Eden's Gate.

St. Isidore School

Once a religious boarding school, it was forced to close its doors by Eden's Gate.

Dodd Residence

Home of Colin Dodd, hoarder and DIY enthusiast. He never throws anything out. His granddaughter Nadine's been known to lurk here.

Roberts Cabin

Home of Joe Roberts, a hunter. He's gone missing. He loved hunting deer above all else.

Hope County Clinic

Dr. Kim Patterson provides medical services to Hope County's farmers and low-income residents, many of whom would never receive care in such a remote area.

Holland Valley Station

In the days that it was up and running, Copperhead Rail used to stop here. Eden’s Gate uses this station to catch people who try to escape the region.

Grain Elevator

As the farmlands started to collapse, the grain elevator was the first casualty. Too expensive to maintain.

Henbane River Rail Bridge

Copperhead Rail was created in the 1880s during a mining boom, and shut down in the early 70s after the industry collapsed.

Flatiron Stockyards

Bobby Budell established the stock yards in 1946, and has proudly provided farm and ranch auction services since. The economic and community base employed over 25 people at its height.

Fillmore Residence

Home of Doug Fillmore. Not much is known about him.

Dupree Residence

Home of Tommy Dupree, an idiot who used to work at Green-Busch Fertilizer Co. He got fired by Eden's Gate because he was as dumb as the crap he bagged.

Catamount Mines

Fall’s End owes its existence to the gold Orville Fall discovered here in 1865. The mine brought a generation of prosperity to the region until a suspicious accident entombed 100 men within it, forcing its closure in 1912.

Sunrise Farm

Sunrise Farm was going under, so owners Mike and Chandra Dunagan reluctantly sold it to Eden's Gate. Big mistake.

Deep North Irrigation Reservoir

Originally designed to irrigate farms, the reservoir became a liability when the cult began putting Bliss in the water supply. The Resistance sealed it up to buy themselves time.

Red’s Farm Supply

The Redler family has run this place for 4 generations, and earned a reputation for honest business. Wendell did his best to keep it out of cult hands.

Purpletop Telecom Tower

In the 1950s, Purpletop Telecom built this tower, blessing people with the wonders of AM radio. As time and technology marched forward, they were also given the American splendor of a local TV station.

Woodson Pig Farm

This place has been in the Woodson family since 1943. Current owners Andrew and Frances Woodson used their wealth to try to stand up to John Seed and fight him in court. They lost, and joined the Resistance.

Sawyer Residence

Don Sawyer came from out of town to join the Project at Eden's Gate. He restores canoes, but isn't very good at it. Visitors have sworn they've heard him swearing in Russian over those boats.

Hyde Barn

Kenny Hyde's a poor man in Holland Valley, but that doesn't stop him from loving deep fried balls. He's the proud keeper of Fall’s End Testy Festy decorations, stashing them at his barn until they're needed.

Kupka Ranch

Zip Kupka's the only one who really knows what's going on in the Holland Valley.

John’s Gate

A missile silo long decommissioned and abandoned. The locals used to call it "Area 68." Eden's Gate bought it in secret and turned it into a bunker that is in John Seed's safekeeping until the Collapse.

Security Gate

Formerly the entrance to the missile silo, it's now the gateway to John Seed's bunker. Everything taken in the Reaping passes through this checkpoint.

Steele Farm

The Steele family managed to get their kids out of Hope County, but stayed behind to try and defend their home from Eden's Gate.

Lamb of God Church

A Lutheran church. Its elderly priest was overshadowed by Pastor Jerome’s charismatic sermons. John once asked the priest to say “yes.” Not a chance. Then, the priest was gone. He had taken a “long vacation.”

Lamb of God Sacristy

The Project at Eden's Gate has turned the Lamb of God Church's sacristy into a holding place for everything they need to baptize people at the water's edge.

Armstrong Residence

The Project at Eden's Gate targeted the Armstrong family early, burning their home to the ground when Grace Armstrong refused to devote her sharpshooting skills to the Father's cause.

Bradbury Tractor Shed

A shed for tractors.

Hope County Jail Bus

Prisoners hijacked this bus but were run off the road. The wreck was left to rot in the woods. When Eden's Gate brought prohibition to Hope County, some enterprising moonshiners set up shop behind the cult’s back.

Parker Laboratories

Home and workshop of Dr. Laurence Parker, and the origin of many mysterious noise complaints.

Seed Ranch

The power of yes gave John Seed this dream ranch overlooking the Holland Valley. it has commanding views, a private air strip, and secluded soundproofed rooms for his most invigorating religious pursuits.

Bradbury Farm

The home of the Bradbury family, hay farmers for generations. The strange pattern of dead hay in the field does not impact the quality of the final product. That's the Bradbury guarantee.

Bradbury Hay Field

Bradbury Farm's hay is baled and stored here before being sold to clients looking to feed their livestock with quality hay.

Laurel Residence

Laurel family honey was a local market favorite until their bee colony collapsed and jeopardized the business. It also spooked the Laurels who sunk money into a bunker and became preppers overnight.

Eden’s Gate Greenhouse

Bliss plants are found throughout the Henbane River, but they're also found here. John Seed takes the flowers he receives by boat from the east and plants them in his greenhouse.

Seed Boat Launch

Once a favorite spot for summer frolickers, this boat launch is used by John Seed for receiving shipments of Bliss and other supplies from elsewhere in Hope County.

Rye & Sons Aviation

This plot of land was first settled in 1920 by Willard Rye. He started a crop dusting business. His sons inherited both and it now belongs to the current generation of Ryes: Nick & Kim.

Kellett Cattle Co.

The Kellett family supplied beef for 3 generations. These proud Republicans thought they recognized the American spirit in Eden’s Gate, but when John Seed asked them to serve the Project, they said “no.”

Fall’s End

After prospector Orville Fall struck gold, his small mining camp quickly grew. Decades later, his rival, rail baron Emmett Reaves, shot him dead in the streets, giving the town its official name.

Old Silo

Welcome to the middle of it.

Kay-Nine Kennels

The owner, Kay Wheeler, loved her dogs more than life itself. She bred and trained hunting and guard dogs. When Eden’s Gate showed up, the local demand for guard dogs tripled. John Seed noticed and took action.

Sunrise Threshing

A silo and shed complex attached to Sunrise Farm. Rumor has it that Mike Dunagan's stashed a lot of cool shit around here somewhere.

Redler Residence

Home of Wendell Redler, local businessman and Vietnam veteran.

Adams Ranch

Jules Adams lost her husband in an "accident" after saying no to John Seed. Her family's struggled to keep the cattle ranch out of cult hands ever since.

Miller Residence

Despite financial hardship, the Miller family refused the cult’s invitations, prepping for doomsday all on their own. When the reaping came, Jerry Miller was out working.

Wellington Residence

The Wellington family mine is an urban legend, supposedly stuffed with gold, explosives, or both depending who you ask. Generations of Wellingtons (possibly inbred) have tried and failed to strike it rich here.

Chapter Fifteen: Find Your Path In The Stars

Flea nudged his way into the study with a hot cup of tea, wholly unsurprised to find the captain still at her desk with the former President’s tablet, poring over the notes it contained. “Brought your tea, Cap’,” he announced, and she glanced up, green eyes bright. “Good reading, I take it?”

“I always said he was a cunning businessman and politician, but I never would have guessed him to be such a brilliant archeologist as well.” She reached for the tea as he held it out and gestured for him to take a seat. He sat and waited as she sipped the tea. “His methods kind of remind me of someone… Anyway. It’s amazing, how much of this he’s been able to decipher with so little to go on. There’s snippets of translations into other languages, some of them decades old, others centuries, but they still only provide for so many words. But the translations he’s made on his own- he’s practically doubled the lexicon.”

“Like a kid in a candy store,” Flea teased. “No wonder you haven’t put that thing down.”

“Oh, hush you.”

“So what’s it say?”

“There’s a lot of history in here, mostly detailing the downfall of Atlantis, but I’ve also caught some references to Master Builders. There’s a lot of cultural context there, I think, so I can’t really make heads or tails of what they’re trying to say… Some stuff about the temples being erected as... gateways, I think that says? Placed so that only those who have proved themselves worthy may pass to the next. Something about sentinels, and the temples being the keepers of Atlantean history… Makes sense, with all this stuff they put on the walls. And it looks like some hints on the next temple.”

Flea snickered. “Think they’ll have any luck getting through it without their notes?”

Airheart steepled her fingers together, looking thoughtful. “Actually… I think they just might. I’ve done a bit of research on that crew, you see. I thought I recognized them when we confronted them in the desert- those are the same Master Builders that helped The Special stop Lord Business, and not a one of them could be considered a pushover. Metalbeard is a very experienced captain, he’s been sailing the seas since he was only four years old. The girl in black was at least formerly known as Wyldstyle, Vitruvius’ last, and best, student. Unikitty’s no sheltered princess, she kept Cloud Cuckooland hidden from the Super Secret Police for years, and somehow managed to keep the place from falling apart despite being populated only by Master Builders. I think the short man in blue might be the astronaut Benjamin Blue, who was already a very skilled engineer before he was discovered to be a Master Builder- the damage he did to our engines is evidence enough of that. And maybe they’re missing the world’s best detective, but Bad Cop is a very close second, and tenacious to boot, and with Lord Business having proven himself to be quite the intellectual…”

“And The Special himself??”

The sky captain smirked. “Let’s just say I haven’t had competition this exciting in ages.”

It turned out their next destination was about a week’s trek inland, in the middle of a rainforest. By the time they reached the next temple, Unikitty had the worst case of fleas she’d ever experienced, and the others weren’t much better off. Everyone else was covered in mosquito bites and, in one memorable experience for Emmet, leeches. Bad Cop could sympathize, and when he stopped laughing, he helped to get them off.

“Mind your step,” the officer teased.

“I hate nature,” Emmet complained in response. “Nature is most definitely not awesome.”

“Come on, city boy, buck up. A few days in the woods isn’t going to kill you. Besides, we’re almost there.”

“How are you so sure?” Bad Cop simply pointed ahead in answer. “I don’t see anything…”

“That’s cause it be overgrown, lad. Look closer.”

Emmet frowned, squinting and tilting his head this way and that. “…Ohh! I see now!”

Benny was the first to wander inside, trying to see in the dim light of leaf-filtered sun- the place had no real roof, just a tangle of overgrowth that mimicked one- and a single burning torch. He tilted his head as a second lit upon Bad Cop’s entry, more lighting up as the others trickled inside. It was like a light bulb lit, but before he could voice his observation, he was interrupted.

“Oh my,” Unikitty gasped as she came in, bringing up the rear.

“What is it?” Lucy asked.

“I can feel…” Her eyes went wide. “Oh my goodness, there’s so much energy here! It’s like it’s alive!”

“Can you tap into it?” Emmet suggested.

“I’m gonna try, but it will take me a while to figure out how.” She sat in the middle of the room and closed her eyes. “I’ll give a shout when I figure it out.”

As the others spread out to explore the adjacent rooms, Benny sat by Unikitty. “I think I might have found out the significance of the torches,” he said, and she turned to look at him.

“Yeah?”

“They lit up on their own as we all came in.”

She looked around. “But there’s only six torches. There’s seven of us.”

Benny thought for a moment. “Six of us are Master Builders, though.”

Unikitty frowned at him in confusion. “Five of us.”

“No, six. Bad Cop.”

Her eyes went wide, first shocked, then outraged. “He was one of us all along-?!”

“Shhh!” Benny hissed as her fur flashed scarlet, trying to calm her. “Keep your voice down, I don’t think the others have realized it yet!” Her ears flattened against her skull, but she fell silent as requested. “Yeah I was mad too, when I first found out. Like, really mad. But I don’t think he really considers himself one, just- recognizes that he has the potential, I guess? He said they never had any actual training though.”

“If you’re right about the torches, Benny, the magic here recognizes him as one of us,” she protested. “I don’t think I can forgive-”

“I know,” Benny soothed, stroking her fur. “He did a lot of bad things for Busy. I don’t know his motivation, I haven’t asked. It’s still kind of a sore subject for everyone. But consider this- he never actually hurt any Master Builders, just captured us, and he did help us in the end. And hey, come on, we’ve all been getting along fine since, right?”

Unikitty sighed, fur fading back to bubblegum pink as her anger ebbed. “Yeah, you’re right. In the end, knowing this doesn’t really change things. He’s still Bad Cop, Master Builder or not.” Benny nodded. She smirked. “I guess that explains how he was so good at hunting us down, he could think like us because he is one of us. I wonder if Busy knows?”

“I don’t know. We probably shouldn’t bring it up around him, though, in case he doesn’t. Bad Cop should be the one to tell him that.” He got back to his feet. “I’ll let you get to work now, I’m gonna go pester B.”

Unikitty grinned. “So when are you gonna tell him?”

Benny paused and turned back to her. “Tell who what?”

“Bad Cop, that you like him.” Her grin turned positively wicked as Benny blushed.

“When he’s ready to hear it,” the astronaut mumbled before hurrying away, Unikitty’s giggles following him.

Bad Cop had wandered after Emmet and Lucy, only half listening to their chatter as the couple explored the room they’d found themselves in. The other half of his attention was turned inward.

Since the discovery of Keelan, he’d been helping his newfound brother get the hang of piggybacking on his consciousness, getting used to the world outside, to sensations he’d never before had the chance to experience, even if it was only second-hand. They’d been working up to a proper switch, not wanting Keelan to be completely overwhelmed on his first time in control. Bad Cop nodded to himself as he reached a decision. This temple was as safe a place as any for Keelan’s first switch, as insulated from the rest of the world as it was.

Are you ready?

I thInk so, came the answer, Keelan’s nervousness and excitement bubbling to the surface.

Just relax. Nothing here will hurt you.

He took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. He was two months out of practice now, but it still came naturally to switch out. He took it slowly, letting Keelan feel how it was done. The scribbled-on face slid to the front, drawn on eyes widening as the youngest brother looked on the world with his own eyes for the first time. Bad Cop remained an active presence, relaxed and encouraging but also alert. The young couple didn’t even seem to take notice of them as Keelan touched the leaves of some ivy clinging to a wall, feeling their smooth texture, feeling the roughness of the hewn stone of the wall itself, kneeling down to feel the grittiness of the dirt under their feet. He breathed in deeply, drawing in the smell of the place, and failed to notice the presence watching him curiously.

Benny remained silent, not wanting to startle Keelan. The youngest triplet seemed to finally notice him and looked over, and Benny waved in greeting. “Hey kiddo, how’s the world?” Keelan simply grinned in response and went back to his explorations. Benny chuckled.

Emmet looked over upon hearing Benny’s voice, and watched who he thought was Bad Cop going around touching everything. “Uh. What’s he doing…?” he finally asked after several minutes.

Lucy glanced over at his question and, having put two and two together fairly quickly, gave his hand a squeeze. “That’s Keelan,” she said softly.

“Oh!”

She smiled, stopping him as he stepped toward them. He looked back at her curiously. “Let’s let him explore on his own for a bit first, you can introduce yourself later.”

“Oh. Alright then.”

Metalbeard ambled after Business as he eagerly devoured the knowledge that the murals offered, fingers trailing along some of the details of the paintings, rambling his thoughts out loud to his audience of one. “It’s remarkable, the condition these paintings are in. Centuries of being left unprotected in this atmosphere should have had them flaking away.” He paused every once in a while to take a picture.

“What are they saying?”

“I think-”

There was suddenly a shriek from the main chamber where they’d left Unikitty, and without even sparing a glance at each other they sprinted out of the room of murals to go find her. Business glanced over as the other four came careening out of another room, each as wide eyed as himself with surprise and worry. Unikitty was nowhere to be found. “Unikitty!” Benny called out for her, tone bordering on desperate. There was no answer, but there was another path that she had managed to open in their absence.

“Down here!” they finally heard, and Benny was the first to investigate the path she took. It looked like a giant horsetail plant, with a sort of ‘fin’ spiraling down its length. The moment he set foot on it, it began to undulate, and with a yelp he found himself dropping down to the next level. Unikitty giggled as it dumped him on the ground face first. “You okay?”

“What a ride!” he laughed, and looked back up. “Come on down guys, it’s okay!” He turned back to his friend. “I thought you were working on figuring out this temple’s magic?”

“I was!” Unikitty protested. “I felt something coming from further down, though, and decided to investigate. And boy am I glad I did, isn’t it pretty down here??”

Benny looked around, finally noticing the lichens that grew along the walls. They looked almost like clam shells, and their insides glowed in bright blue and purple. “Whoa.” The horsetail plant began to wriggle again, bringing the others down, each of them landing as gracelessly as he had. He snickered.

“Woooooow,” Emmet gasped. “It’s so pretty!”

“I had a suspicion there had to be more to this place than just a bunch of pictures,” Metalbeard muttered. “The actual trial must be down here.”

“So what are we looking for this time?” Business fished out his notes, reading through them.

“…I actually don’t know. I can’t make sense of it, it says to… lend a helping hand to open the door?”

“I guess we just walk and see what we run into then,” Lucy sighed, and marched ahead, following the glowing lichens through the tunnel. It eventually opened into what looked like a massive cleft in the ground. Lucy froze with a gasp, and Emmet nearly ran into her back. “Oh my…”

“Oh, wow!”

The walls of the cleft were too high and too smooth for them to climb out, not that they were even thinking about it; their attention was on the multiple levels spread out before them, crisscrossed with fallen logs and tangled vines, plants quite literally everywhere. Their presence startled a flock of birds that fluttered out of the ravine, flashes of iridescent blue and purple. Further down they could see more glowing plants, more than just the lichens on the tunnel walls, but leaves and flowers that emitted light as well.

Business gaped at the sight before them. “Why do I get the feeling we just walked into the Garden of Eden?”

You know, when people draw the twins as zoruas, they always put Ingo as the Unovan and Emmet as the Hisuian, because Ingo wears black and Emmet white. But personally I've always thought it was the opposite. Their expressions; the Unovans smiling with sharp, cunning eyes, and the Hisuians frowning with sad, tired eyes, their coats washed out. And their circumstances; the Unovans in their homeland, but seen as strange and unknowingly separated through time and space from their kin, and the Hisuians... displaced, in the past, and half dead. Ingo, as you said, hollowed out and adrift, and the zoruas literally living a half-life. It's strangely fitting, though I doubt it was intentional.

and there's already the preexisting association of emmet being mistaken for/meanly referred to as a unovan zoroark bc of his mannerisms! ingo in hisui is just extending the metaphor! i mean obviously i'm also partial to the reverse since i have a whole au about it lol but part of the appeal of that one for me is the reversal of expectations, that it's ingo who's been a unovan zorua/zoroark the whole time. in terms of symbolism i do think the reverse is just so fitting.

im always curious at the application of fan favourites in canon games. for example:

1) did they purposely make red the silent type or did they roll with it being a widely popular hcanon and apply the thing in pokemas masters (making it the funniest thing)?

2) was N supposed to be an emotionless doll (generations) turned loving human (pokemas) as part of his journey or did the developers see how widely sweet N is in fanarts/fanfics that they decide to put it as canon?

3) was steven meant to be a popular heart throb by the public in game before the remake came out as well as pokemas or was that a silly jab at the actual fans who genuinely go gaga over him?

4) was touko meant to be a rowdy protagonist because of her outfit or because its a famous hcanon from the fans?

5) the submas twins are very popular so did pokemas give them THE perfect japanese voices the fans hcanons about how they should sound like?

like right now. immortal hiker volo is quite a famous hcanon. i wonder if pokemas will ever make an alt of that. i doubt it but if that ever happens thatll be so funny.

but one things for sure: volo earned his spot as one of the most famous male pokemon characters in a span of a year. thanks to his resemblance to cynthia (who is already extremely famous) + the fact that hes a memorable villain, volo is widely loved fans. hes also designed to be a very handsome/pretty character (yes even in his stupid final boss form hes cute imagine if gamefreak didnt nerf his hairstyle) and even without a canon voice yet, lots of people have imagined him to have this sweet, prince-like voice who can be cunning and piercing. ive seen the ウォロショウ go from 0 to nearly 100+ fanarts in a year. hell, even the volo tag is expanded in like 3 diff social medias.

volos fame reaches its peak that it almost rivalled N when he was first introduced. steven and red are famous, yes, but volo is a fan favourite in many aspects. hes designed in a way that caters to fans who loves whatever spectrum N falls under.

and they gave N an amazing voice in pokemon masters. steven also has a charming voice to match his rocks for brains. red has a great seiyuu for someone who says 'A' as an actual dialogue. even adaman has a great voice. iridas voice matches her so well. ingo has a hilarious scream that will also sound great (and heartbreaking) if we ever get his legends version. emmet sounds adorable in his japanese voice. hell even cynthia has THE voice to match hw everyone hears her. so far pokemon masters do a great job to match the voice with the characters.

so the question is: when is volo coming out to pokemon masters ex and who will voice him?

- So, so, soooo many times. Comes with his job territory. He’s a cunning liar. Currently as a Depot Agent he’s playing the double spy game. As a Depot Agent he has a job that is a favorable incentive for Team Plasma higher ups to want him as a Team Plasma member. So, in a way, he is betraying both’s trust at the same time. (He feels bad about lying so often to Ingo, Emmet, and the rest of his coworkers but at least he has the conscious that he’s making it safer for them to do their job)

- He doesn’t care about lying to and betraying Team Plasma higher ups. They’re scum and villainy he’s used to. He feels bad for the teens caught in this mess though. There’s always kids who truly believe the big boss’s shitty rhetoric and “morals”. The ones that tell Aman that they look up to him and trust him…those are the ones that make him feel bad when they finally realize he’s never been on their side in the first place.

Pecha

- At home spa day! She basically does that whole way too much skin care routine at the start and then ends with a nice bath with some bath bombs. On other pamper days, she calls up friends and asks if they want to go shopping. One can never have too many clothes.

Aman

- Going out at a good place at the end of the day. He knows all the good food places in almost every region. In Unova, it’s his Tia Leppa’s restaurant Casita Manzanita. His favorite treat though has to be Castelia Cones. It’s even better if he has someone to go with him. He’s an extrovert at heart.

- She makes a LOT of outfits…and so she definitely has to snip up a lot that don’t turn out the way she intended. She plans to open a boutique where she can sell clothing items she made but can’t really wear so others can have it.

- Saves up her Galvantula, Tarountula, and Snom’s silk for thread so that way she doesn’t have to buy it from the store. The real stuff if you have it is better for the environment!

Aman

Imagine buying dolls of the Subway Bosses. You absolutely adore the twins! They are so kind, smart, and cunning! Yet they always put the safety and well being of their passengers first and foremost, even at the expense of a battle. Plus, they were incredibly attractive to you. You were absolutely smitten. You didn't want to bother them, of course. You only participated on the battle subway every so often, work taking up most of your time these days. You had only ever gotten to the twins on the multi line when your friend had joined you. You won, but just barely. Your Sylveon managed to get a crit on Ingo's Crustle, much to your excitement. Both the subway bosses applauded you and your friend, and even complimented you both, saying it was one of the more interesting battles they have had in a while. You've been riding on that high ever since. That being said, you decide to start taking the subway to and from work every day, on the off chance you got to see the two. They primarily took the battle trains, but used the public ones every so often for safety checks, or to get from one station to the next. You never spoke to them on these trains. They were already mad popular, and swamped with fans on the regular rails. You didn't want to be a bother. So, you simply yearned for their attention and affections on the sidelines. The creator was rather nice, and you loved the style of dolls they made, and immediately asked if you could commission the subway bosses. Just how big did the creator make these things?? When you open said boxes, you are quite surprised! The dolls are about as big as your torso, if not a little bit bigger! You sat in your home desk chair giggling gleefully to yourself. The photo on your phone screen baring the striking image of your handsome twin boyfriends wearing their special butler uniforms. They had them for an event you sadly were unable to attend yet the suits looked so good on them you couldn't help but to let your mind wonder. You were so entranced you didn't notice Emmet sneak up behind you and trap you in a sudden hug. This surprised you causing you to drop your phone onto the desk.

1. Don't remember the exact details but earlier in the makings of the tot au, there was an idea where akari and the gang has to complete memories to let ingo remember it again. I was thinking what if the remnant attacked them there? Like, can they escape since the memory hasn't completed playing out? What happens if the train car was destroyed from the inside?

2. In regards to the remnant asks, what happens if the remnant were to completely destroy the mind station? The station left to be a wasteland of sorts and ingo with no recoverable memories anymore, perhaps not even his own name he could remember. What if the remnant killed mg!emmet?

QUESTION ONE

I remember what concept you were talking about, but I could not find it for the life of me earlier (which is why it took a bit to answer this ask! ^^;) but thank you! This is a good question.

How I’ve imagined it is disconnected memory traincars must be “finished”, and reconnected back to the memory lanes, like what you said.

This is dangerous, because Remnant is trapped within these traincars. You do not want to reconnect a disconnected traincar if Remnant happens to be in it, otherwise it’s going to get out and destroy everything.

It will be easy to avoid the Remnant at first, because there are so many disconnected traincars, and it is lurking in the deepest section of the mind station depot, confined there by MG Emmet.

But as more memories are finished and reconnected, and the number of disconnected memories diminishes, the smaller Remnant’s prison becomes, and the harder it will be to keep away from it and not be in the same traincar at the same time.

Remnant would do a few things in this situation. It might attempt to blend into the memory. Go undetected, so that the group will think everything is safe, and reconnect the memory with Remnant in it, in turn connecting it to the rest of the mind, and giving it a chance to escape. This is a situation where it might imitate Ingo to blend into the memory.

Or, it can attack the party, to buy itself more time and give itself more chances to get out. If the group has 6 memories left to activate and it’s found that Remnant is hiding in the current traincar they’re reconnecting, it will lash out and try to drive the group out of the memory, so that they will have to try again later. Because then if the traincar is left incomplete, Remnant will still have 6 chances at getting out, not 5.

This thing is cunning and can think strategically.

I have not thought much about what happens if a traincar is destroyed from the inside out, but my first thought, given the worldbuilding rules we have set up, would be that most likely the memory would be damaged irreparably.

QUESTION TWO

The mind station being completely destroyed is what happens if Remnant gets a chance to get out. It would make its way out all the way from the back of the station to the front, where the exit is, and it would tear everything up with it as it went. All of Ingo’s locked away memories would be gone forever, as would his new ones. Nothing would be left to remember, and with a destroyed station, no new memories could be made.

I didn’t think about what would happen if it killed MG Emmet, but I can imagine Remnant would have a big target on MG Emmet’s back.

I’ve talked about Ingo’s Id so many times and why Remnant is going to try to reach it to take over the station’s functions, reconnect every memory itself, and let itself out, but I haven’t talked about the psyches themselves. (Follow the link if you’d like more info on what the psyche layers themselves actually are)

Ingo’s Id (needs, demands, and instincts)- the mind station and its functions; the state of the station, its tracks, systems, and traincars. Must be maintained.

Ingo’s Ego (the middleman making sure Id and Superego are satisfied) - MG Emmet

Ingo’s Superego (morality) - the mind station’s regulations; probably a status room (NOT A CONTROL ROOM) of sorts that lists the status of the station and its traincars, how they should be taken care of, and the order of severity in terms of things that must be done. MG Emmet refers to this room to see how to take care of the mind station’s needs.

(If this is confusing I am so sorry haha, the Id, Ego, and Superego themselves are so confusing and I’d like to further simplify this explanation)

If Remnant took over the Id, probably by getting to a central control room, it could overtake what MG Emmet has set in place to keep it contained

(just like how a psyche’s ego keeps the id in check…but weak willed people have ids that completely ignore their egos and superegos)

But if Remnant cannot reach that control room, it is going to go after the middleman, which is MG Emmet. With no middleman, there is no regulator to make sure it is contained.

SO TL:DR

if Remnant killed MG Emmet, there would be no regulator to keep Remnant contained, and virtually nothing could keep it from overturning the station and letting itself out.
