THE CW NETWORK SETS SUPER TUESDAYS THIS SPRING AS “SUPERMAN & LOIS” RETURNS AND “GOTHAM KNIGHTS” DEBUTS ON TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2023
“Superman & Lois” Season Three Takes Flight at 8:00pm ET/PT
New Heroes Will Rise When “Gotham Knights” Premieres at 9:00pm ET/PT
The CW Network today announced the third season of the hit drama SUPERMAN & LOIS—the network’s most-watched series of 2022—will premiere on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), followed by the series debut of GOTHAM KNIGHTS (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT).
“The new season of The CW’s biggest show SUPERMAN & LOIS alongside our most exciting new series GOTHAM KNIGHTS will make Tuesdays a can’t-miss night of action,” said Brad Schwartz, President, Entertainment, The CW Network. “With the iconic characters and gritty streets that everyone knows, fans will experience the best season yet of SUPERMAN & LOIS and be introduced to a hunted group of crime fighters out for vengeance, following in Batman’s footsteps on GOTHAM KNIGHTS.”
In GOTHAM KNIGHTS, Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman’s enemies: Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), a streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara), a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Misha Collins) and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore), and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson). But our Knights will soon learn there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors known as the GOTHAM KNIGHTS.
From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM KNIGHTS is written by Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams. Fiveash and Stoteraux serve as showrunners and executive produce the series alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman. Abrams also serves as co-executive producer. Danny Cannon directed and served as an executive producer on the pilot, along with David Madden. GOTHAM KNIGHTS is based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.
Season three of SUPERMAN & LOIS opens weeks after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston. Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) are now working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough. Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan (Alex Garfin) discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) searches for purpose beyond the football field. Amid all this upheaval, John Henry (Wolé Parks) is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie (Tayler Buck). Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Kyle (Erik Valdez) redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah (Inde Navarrette) explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh) reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.
Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, SUPERMAN & LOIS is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Todd Helbing, Sarah Schechter, Brent Fletcher, and Geoff Johns.
TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2023
8:00-9:00pm SUPERMAN & LOIS (Season 3 Premiere)

RACHEL BERRY FC ALTERNATIVES↲
It’s always devastating when the lifespan of your favorite character is threatened within the RPC because of problematic behavior attached to their FC. When it comes to Rachel Berry, the character is Jewish, so the character of Rachel Berry should be played by a Jewish FC.
Remember, if you like an FC listed below but she is too old for your portrayal of Rachel Berry, it’s likely that the actress was acting before 2020; you can make use of resources of them from younger years if you want to play Rachel as younger than the actress is now. If there are no resources available, just let me know. I am more than willing to make GIFs, icons, usable photo hunts of the FC at the age you need them to be, and whatever else you need.
↳ Below is a list of potential alternatives for FCs. I have included women of all ages and backgrounds, including a few mixed race, deaf, and trans women:

The Princess Switch: Switched Again (2020)
Netflix’s first original holiday movies premiered in 2017. They were Christmas Inheritance and A Christmas Prince. Since then, they’ve debuted a handful of holiday films, two of which were sequels to A Christmas Prince. They debuted The Princess Switch, starring Vanessa Hudgens, in 2018, and since then, fans have been clamoring for a sequel, which they got this year. In 2019, Netflix released another original Christmas movie, The Knight Before Christmas, also starring Hudgens, but as a completely different character.
One key detail to keep in mind as we go down this rabbit hole: All of these films are produced by MPCA (a company that also produces Hallmark movies). Which makes a crossover much easier!
If you’ve watched any of the Christmas Prince movies or Princess Switch, or even The Knight Before Christmas, you’ve certainly wondered, do all these people in these made up countries with British accents know each other, by any chance?
And we can finally answer that question: YES!
Netflix has been dropping hints that the movies are all connected since 2018, when in The Holiday Calendar, the main character is watching two other Netflix Christmas movies—Christmas Inheritance and A Christmas Prince. Then in 2018 in the first installment of The Princess Switch, they did it again: the main character is seen watching A Christmas Prince.
While it could have simply been cleverly placed self-promotion on Netflix and MPCA’s parts, Netflix confirmed it was very intentional on Twitter last year by introducing Netflix’s Holiday Movie Universe, “an interconnected world of eight films (and counting) where anyone could become a princess and your soulmate may be hiding in plain sight—or the past!”
[...]
It was made clearer in 2019’s films The Knight Before Christmas and A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby. “First, In The Knight Before Christmas, Emmanuelle Chriqui’s character mentions their family once visited Aldovia while holding *the* iconic acorn. Then, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby reveals that Aldovia and Belgravia are actually near one another on a map!” Amanda Phillips Atkins, EVP at MPCA, explained on Twitter.
So, last year it was confirmed: these characters could really be connected. “We planned to branch out from just having our characters watch each other on TV,” Atkins said of creating one world for three films. “We thought it would be a great opportunity to build out a whole universe, not just for Aldovia but for the whole world of our Christmas movies!”
Still, we’ve yet to see any characters or storylines really cross over. Until now!
The highly-anticipated sequel to The Princess Switch just dropped, and if you look closely, you’ll see a royal couple cameo at the end of the movie.
In The Princess Switch: Switched Again, Duchess Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne to Montenaro. In the final scene’s coronation, we get a glimpse of the attendees there to witness Margaret become the queen. In the church pews we see Queen Amber and King Richard of Aldovia, from the Christmas Prince movies!!! As they watch lovingly, it becomes clear they aren’t there simply to keep up appearances. They must at least be friends!

#31DaysofSlashers Day 14: Wrong Turn
Cast: Eliza Dushku, Jeremy Sisto, Emmanuelle Chriqui
Trivia: Despite only being credited for his producing, Make-up master Stan Winston was pivotal in the key design of the Mountain Men, in particular now post-modern horror icon Three-Finger. This marks the second last major horror film he has been involved before his death in 2008 at age 62 and the third slasher horror film he had been involved in following uncredited work in Friday The 13th Part II and III, the latter of which he had been a core designer on the original hockey mask of also horror icon Jason Voorhees and the respective mongoloid appearance of Jason for those two parts.

BREAKING NEWS
‘Superman & Lois’: Inde Navarrette To Play Sarah Cushing In the CW Series Based On DC Characters
EXCLUSIVE: Inde Navarrette (Wander Darkly) is set as a series regular opposite Erik Valdez and Emmanuelle Chriqui in Superman & Lois, the CW’s straight-to-series drama about the iconic DC couple, played by Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch. Navarrette will play Sarah Cushing in the series from The Flash executive producer Todd Helbing, DC Universe architect Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros. TV.
Written by Helbing, based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Superman & Lois revolves around the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist, as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
Navarrette’s Sarah Cushing, the daughter of Kyle (Valdez) and Lana (Chriqui), is a whip smart, super cool wild child with some demons in her past who becomes friends with the Kent boys, Jonathan and Jordan.
Series regular cast also includes Wolé Parks.
Helbing executive produces with Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns via Berlanti Productions. The drama, which was slated to film the pilot episode during regular pilot season before taking a break and resuming production on the rest of its 13-episode order in the summer, now will go straight into series production after all pilot production was suspended over the COVID-19 pandemic.
Navarrette will next be seen playing Estela De La Cruz, in Netflix’s praised 13 Reasons Why, which returns for its fourth and final season in June. On the big screen, Navarrette was most recently seen starring opposite Sienna Miller and Diego Luna in Wander Darkly, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Navarrette also starred in the Snapchat Original Series Denton’s Death Rate. She is repped by Fictious Management and Mavrick Artists Agency.

Hi there Ashley! Could you please make me icons of Emmanuelle Chriqui. I’d like style 10 please. If at all possible I’d like them from Entourage as that seems to be her biggest resource, but wherever is easiest for you! Thank you!
Unfortunately, I can’t find caps and where I download stuff to cap it myself doesn’t have that series. If you can provide me with a link to some caps I’d be more then happy to do it, otherwise, I unfortunately have to decline.

We Took A WRONG TURN 15 Years Ago Today
It’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since Rob Schmidt’s Wrong Turn hacked and slashed its way into theatres. Since its debut, the gruesome film has kind of become a modern-day classic for horror fans. It is the humble opinion of this horror fan that Wrong Turn, along with Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses, and even the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, helped make 2003 a bold year for horror.
At the time, it was considered to be one of the most shocking new horror films with a wide-spread release. Zombie’s 1000 Corpses is arguably more shocking but Wrong Turn had a larger budget, wider release, and major studio backing. The film helped prove to the post-millennium world that horror was both a financially and critically acclaimed genre in the realm of big budget films.
The film boasted a young cast of promising talent, which already consisted of the awesome Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Desmond Harrington (Ghost Ship). The trailer teased a return to the gritty roots of 1970s-style horror and it also promised a TON of gore and suspense.
youtube
The Direction We’re Heading
As far as fans were concerned, Wrong Turn delivered on all its promises. It was never marketed to be anything other than a fun, gory, suspense-filled horror film that would show respect to its influences by inserting loads of homage moments into the movie.
The plot is simple and to the point. Chris Flynn (Harrington) is driving through the state, trying to make it to some bigshot interview. Seeing that his route is delayed, he tries a shortcut. Speeding through the sparse mountain back road (which doesn’t have a posted speed limit), he rounds a bend and crashes into a vehicle sitting in the middle of the road. This is where he meets up with five friends with a flat tire; Jessie (Eliza Dushku), Carly (Emmanuelle Chriqui), Scott (Jeremy Sisto), Evan (Kevin Zegers) and Francine (Lindy Booth). Stranded in the middle of the Virginian wilderness with no cars or working cell phones, a trio of cannibalistic Mountain Men come running.
Road Trip Buddies
The movie holds up quite well after fifteen years and this is likely due to the fact that all of the cast are likable, fully fleshed-out characters. With the exception of the two snotty stoners Francine and Evan, who are killed off almost immediately. Everyone else you root for until the end.
There is something about this formula that just plain works! It’s the tried and true way of the slasher film. We all cared about Laurie, Annie and Lynda in John Carpenter’s Halloween and that’s what makes the tragedy that befalls them all the more tragic. Lead characters need to be above all thins interesting. The audience needs characters to sympathize with, other than just created walking, talking butcher fodder for the masked killer.
Along with a great cast, Wrong Turn also has a killer script.
The Nuts and Bolts
The dialogue is witty, sarcastic and entertaining before the frantic scenes of macabre and tension unfold. The perils, the reactions to those perils, all feel real. At no point does anyone make any ludicrous decisions that might rub the audience the wrong way. By this, I mean to say that it is not a film filled with pointless screams and unrealistic choices. In fact, there is only a handful of screams in the entire film and this may have been a deliberate act.
In the opening scene, two rock climbers, Rich and Halley, are shown traversing a jagged rock face. Rich makes it to the top of the cliff first and Halley attempts to follow, slips and falls. She screams but then her safety line pulls tight and she grabs back onto the wall. Rich sees that she is alright, from the top, and says to her, “I don’t know why you’re screaming. We’re fifty miles from anyone that could hear you.” By doing this, the audience has a pretty good idea that this movie won’t be filled with a whole lot of screaming idiots just running around and annoying us all.
Crash and Burn
Last but not least, the villainous Mountain Men; Three Finger, Saw-Tooth, and One-Eye, are played to menacing perfection by Julian Richings, Garry Robbins, and Ted Clark. The three baddies of the film are essentially characteristic nods to horror icons Freddy, Michael, and Jason. But all of them share the appetite of the chainsaw wielding Leatherface.
It could be argued that Saw-Tooth is the Michael of the three. The reason for this is simple. Saw-Tooth wields the more intricate of the weaponry which is a rifle. He appears to be the most in control and the only one that can drive – a skill that Michael also possesses. One-Eye appears to be the Jason of the group. He’s big, lumbering and wields a large axe. His face is deformed to the point of one damaged eye like the monolithic Jason. Lastly, Three Finger is easily the Freddy. He is not as lumbering as the other two cannibals but he is much more menacing in how he stalks his prey. He is constantly smiling and giggling and seems to take pleasure in a more slowed and agonizing pursuit of his victims like Freddy did.
Just as with those that influenced them, the Virginian Mountain Men don’t have a large and convoluted back story. The audience is given some hints and suggestions but nothing very concrete. This too is something of a lost technique in modern horror. People tend to want explanations these days and Wrong Turn (at least the first one) kind of refuses to give in to that.
What makes Wrong Turn such a great horror film, is not only its simplicity but also its respect to all the other great “Old School American Horror” that came before. This is a horror film but it is also a love letter to older horror films. While watching the West Virginian tale of terror, one can find obvious nods to films like The Hills Have Eyes, Deliverance, Friday the 13th, Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and even The Evil Dead.
The director of Wrong Turn, Rob Schmidt and the screenwriter, Alan McElroy let their influences shine through. By acknowledging these influences and showing a fondness and respect to genre classics, Wrong Turn has certainly earned its place in the pantheon of gruesome horror.
