Rachel is only still in Lima because she was a little too confident in her college applications - for her it was NYADA or nothing, and therefore... she was left with nothing. It was a humbling moment for her, but it's made her no less determined. Even though a full college experience in NYC wasn't possible (she did try again for sophomore year and found the feedback on why she was rejected yet again to be lacking), she's spent recent summers in NYC. While there, she's filled her days with classes and auditions. She is now very well prepared to graduate and head off to the city permanently.

Intensely focused on achieving her dreams, sometimes Rachel deprioritizes her relationships with other people and/or does something otherwise questionable if it will lead to a good performance/opportunity for the spotlight. For example, perhaps she misled as many as three men about who would star opposite her in her music video for her cover of Run Joey Run. Maybe she went to extreme lengths to get a competitor out of the picture. In the moment she never sees anything wrong with her actions, but in hindsight (and once she's had to make amends, which she does) things become more clear.

Rachel is very active on TikTok, where she posts singing content and some of her more eccentric fashion finds (she loves a vintage cat sweater). She doesn't have a terribly large following, but her loyal fanbase does make sure to comment on each post. Though she does occasionally receive hate, she's quick to block and delete. Her social media is a positive, validating space for her.

QUESTIONS

IS THIS WHERE YOU PICTURED YOURSELF RIGHT NOW IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS?

Truthfully, no. I'd always hoped to be a Broadway star by the time I turned twenty-one and that has not yet occurred - though I have starred in several local productions. I was born and raised in Lima and it wasn't my intention to stay local for college. However, I'm glad that I have. I've always believed that I'm destined for greatness, and I believe that greatness is possible through the New Directions.

HOW’RE YOU FEELING ABOUT ALL THE SHOW CHOIR RIVALRY?

I pay it little attention. Though other show choirs may have a technical advantage, we have something that many lack. Heart. And an underdog spirit. And, most importantly, me. They may talk themselves up, but when it comes down to it, we're the ones that have what it takes.

WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF A LIMA LOSER? WHERE EXACTLY IS YOUR LIFE HEADED, OR REALLY, WHERE SHOULD IT BE HEADING?

No. There is no world in which I remain in Lima after graduating from McKinley. I have two more years of college (or less, if I'm "discovered" sooner) and then I'm off to New York, where I will remain for the rest of my days. I have a very clear picture of my future, and I have no doubt that I'm going to achieve my dreams.

Rachel was actually pleasantly surprised when Brody asked her to the ball. While they had known one another for quite some time, outside of some minor flirting, he hadn’t overtly shown interest. So when he asked, it did in fact catch her a bit off-guard. That being said, she’d always thought he was talented (a triple threat like her), handsome, sexy and incredibly charismatic. All qualities she valued in a potential partner (both platonic as well as romantic). At the dance, Brody proved himself to be a wonderful date (with a large amount of restraint). While at the beginning of the dance there was quite a bit of demand for his time and affection (those attempting turn his eye will remain nameless), Brody proved to be quite the gentleman. He focused his attention on her. A key move for a starlet who needs the spotlight like people need air and water for survival.

“I can’t believe you narked on us.” Finn said

“What did you except glee is a walking talking nark.” Hope said

“Don’t get mad at me for exposing your laziness. I’m tired of carrying all of your wait regionals is in a month guys.” Rachel said

“I’m just trying to understand what’s going on here Finn why did you stop singing?” Mr.Schue asked

“Cause you started giving all the male leads to Jesse. It kinda shook my confidence.” Finn said

”What difference does it make everyone knows that my job here is to look hot.” Santana said

“My baby hormones are making me moody.” Quinn said

“There’s so many lyrics.” Brittnay said

”You knew I had Laryngitis.” Hope said

“Okay a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. A glee club is about a myriad of voices coming together as one. All right this ends now which is why your assignment for the week is for you to come up with a song that best represents how you see yourself. This week the we will also be coming together with Crawford Country girls. So be prepared to show off your talents. Then you’re gonna stand up in the auditorium and sing in front of everyone.” Mr.Schue said

“Solos everyone?” Kurt asked

“Glee club has lost its voice it’s time for us to get it back.” Mr.Schue said

The next day we were all sat in the Glee room

“Okay so Rachel and Nicky you will both be performing today.” Mr.Schue said

”As I was first on the sign up sheet I will be kicking this off I have chosen Miley Cyrus the climb. Because it’s about over coming obstacles and beating the odds. In my case the obstacle is you my lack luster teammates who refuse to carry there own wait.” Rachel said

“Rachel I think you’ve lost your voice. Nicky are you ready to perform?” Mr. Schue said

“Yes sir.” Nicky said as she got up out of her chair

“Okay so I have chosen to sing Maria Osmonds Read My Lips. I choose this to sing because it describes how being in love with someone you can’t tell is really hard.” Nicky said

“That was amazing. If you ever want to leave Country girls and come here you can.” Mr.Schue said

The Bell rang and everyone left except for me and Nicky.

“Look you had no right to do that.” I said

“Why did it make her jealous.” Nicky asked

“No because she knows I love her.” I said

“Well I’m gonna take Mr.Schue up on his offer from here on out I’m a new direction. I will figure out who she is and I will end you guys you’ll be mine by regionals.” She said leaving

Santana walked back in

“Hi my names Jess. This is about my life since my parents kicked me out of the house and I have been living in an apartment.” Jess said coming down nervous

Halfway through the song Jess came and sat next to me. When finished the song together I joined her when it said by know I thought… we sang the rest together. Me and her had formed a friendship over the past couple of months one that I didn’t have with any of the other Country girls.

When we finished I wrapped Jess in a hug and we all cheered again.

“Wow okay today’s was amazing you guys will have a tough choice here. These are the kind of soul searching songs I was talking about.” Mr. Schue said

“Mr.Schue can I sing my song now?” Puck said

“Yeah let’s go for it Puck.” Mr.Schue said

“Which means Lucy you will be performing after him instead of before.” Mr.Schue said

“What are they doing here.” Mercedes asked noticing the jazz band come in

“I invited my brothers from the Jazz band and there righteous horns to help me out with my song. Since I shaved my Mohawk I started seeing things differently. Last week I joined a black church.” Puck said

“Did I miss something I thought that you were Jewish and white.” I said

“I am.” Puck said

“Okay just checking.” I said

“And I recently downloaded every song Sammy Davis junior ever recorded on iTunes. He was a black Jew you know and my inspiration so without further ado I give you one of Sammy’s biggest hits.” Puck said

Lucy walked down from her chair ready to perform but I wasn’t paying attention.

The next day in glee “Okay guys change in plans Kurt wants to go today.” Mr.Schue said

“Where’s Kurt?” Brittnay asked

“Kurt buddy don’t okay me and you were gay I get your mad that Finn is getting close to your dad. But we’re gay we are the gayest gays okay and the world might not understand and accept us but every one in this room does and loves us for it. Okay buddy so don’t try being someone you’re not. Come to your dad’s shop today well I work and we can figure this out together okay.” I said

Later that night I got a phone call from Mr. Hummel

“Hello sir what do you need.” I asked

“Don’t worry I’m not calling you as your boss I’m calling you as your friends dad.” Burt said

“What’s up is Kurt okay?” I asked

“Well not necessarily has he been acting differently.” Burt asked

“Yes he has why?” I asked

“Because I can home to find him making out with a girl.” Burt said

“I’m on my way.” I said

I got to the Hummel residents and walked downstairs to see Kurt and Brittnay about to make out again.

“Kurt baby you’re gay.” I said walking out and walking upstairs and sitting down.

“Please til me that there still only making out.” Burt said

“Yes there still only making out but this way the second he comes up those stairs I can talk to him. You have to let him make mistakes.” I said

Soon enough Brittnay left and Kurt came upstairs.

“Burt can you go somewhere else please.” I asked

“Yeah” he said

“Look Kurt I get okay. You should consider yourself lucky my sophomore year was somehow worse than my freshman.” I said

“How weren’t you pregnant your freshman year.” Kurt said

“Yes I was but my Sophomore year my girlfriend cheated on me with my father and made a sex taped with him. Let me get something straight she was of age she was 18. Anyway she meant to send him the sex tape but it got sent to me. Christmas morning.” I said

“What does this have to do with anything.” Kurt asked

“Nothing this is just my way of telling you. Two things just be happy that your dad’s spending more time with Finn and you didn’t find him sleeping with your crush. Second thing is your lucky that your gay and your dad isn’t he won’t still your boyfriend. Third hands off Brittnay she doesn't know it yet but she’s mine.” I said

“Okay anything else.” Kurt asked

“Yes you’re gay and changing that isn’t gonna get you closer to your dad. I can promise you that.” I said

A Glee rp but everyone's adults now and they don't have to be what the show says they are unless you wanted them. And Finns not dead we don't have to stick by Canon ships. And we get to see there life more lived in New york city like we kinda saw in season 5 but less cringe. Characters that never thought they fall in love do, and the main characters don't just have to be the new directions, they can but there not limited to. So warblers and vocal Adrenlines that graduated are open too as are ocs.

Only person taken so far is Blaine Anderson, everyone else is free for grads. Let's see what really happened after everyone graduated 😉

the reason everyone keeps using alternate fcs is because we don't wanna play with old actors. they might have made the roles but they're all washed up now. nobody wants to ship with old people.

the only way i can see that you'd consider some of these iconic actors "old" or "washed up" is if you just became old enough for people to want to rp with you without lying about your age.

there's nothing wrong with older fcs, especially when it comes to using them for their original roles. if you want to recast because of lack of resources, or just because you don't like a certain fc for whatever reason, fine. that's your prerogative. but just because an actor might be "out of your preferred age range" doesn't make them washed up or too old to use for characters that wouldn't be who they are without them.
