whoo is in ur banner they look so familiar to me but can't figure out why
Oh wow that's been my banner since 2016 or 2017 and I always forget about it's existence
This is a still from the Wolf 359 live show they did in December 2015 and uploaded a few months later in 2016. From left to right that's Emma Sherr-Ziarko (voice of Renee Minkowski), Zach Valenti (voice of Doug Eiffel), and Cecilia Lynn-Jacobs (voice of Isabel Lovelace). I thought the still was really funny so I made it my header and have never changed it
I was super into the podcast at the time and it's still one of my favorite fiction podcasts to this day. In fact it's a huge inspiration for a fiction podcast I'm writing that has an AI character.

What I drew listening to Zero hours : A matter of time
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/cbda40852e55b699381a3a650db7551b/88a309c9ad666810-5b/s540x810/0d6009b2e172fdb9b914e4b37addf6d56a48d203.jpg)
I fell in love with this special episode and HER : one of the two beings who create our world again and again and watch it fall apart just as repetitively. A beautiful idea carried out just as brilliantly.
summary: In the wake of the death of the last human being and with the imminent destruction of the Earth upon them, two mysterious beings consider both the dying world and their unique relationship with one another - as well as the question of, "What comes next?" It can be listened to as a stand alone episode! - link to episode

so y’all know how when a character is popularly shipped with more than one other character in a fandom the people that dislike the other ship usually project and have the two+ other characters hate/fight each other over the shared one in the ship
i am of the firm belief that this absolutely does not happen in minlace/minffel canon. those bitches are best fucking friends, no WONDER they have the same taste in women, DUH. As soon as they find out the other one thinks she’s hot they high five and then every time she does something attractive after that they find the other after their rotation and are like “did you HEAR the way she said that??? are we serious????” they’re like teenage girls gossiping at a sleepover. i love them. they love each other. and they love women 😌
#minkowski is of course oblivious to both of them doing this and just thinks they’re doing something stupid again#just like emma sherr-ziarko herself we are ignoring the husband /j#all this to say ily minlace shippers love how we have so much in common (being obsessed w renée minkowski)#wolf 359#minlace#minffel#minkowskiposting

propaganda submission for Minkovsky: everyone voting Hera in this round is doing it strictly because she is an AI (and admittedly cool as hell) but there is absolutely nothing hotter in this podcast than commander minkowsky and we all know it. have you heard her voice?? I'm sorry but I respect one (1) figure of authority and its her. she could shoot me with her harpoon and I'd thank her. she's the most (and quite possibly only) competent person in the Hephaestus station and I want her to step on me. she could stab Hilbert and I'd cheer her on and you'd see cartoon hearts floating above my head. she could stab me and I'd react the same way.

#this post is about#wolf 359#and specifically that scene in “pan-pan” where hilbert lovelace and hera are arguing#over whose fault it is that eiffel got launched into space#but the INSTANT minkowski goes “stop fighting it's my fault”#they all immediately stop fighting to reassure her that it isn't#they love her so much and honestly i don't blame them#i love her too <3
Trope I love: when characters A, B, and C are arguing about something and all blaming each other, but when character D steps in and says "it's my fault, actually", the others all immediately stop fighting and fall all over themselves to assure them that no, it isn't, of course it isn't, you're perfect!
#wolf 359#pan pan#wolf 359 spoilers#i love this scene so much#also how mk is able to defuse the situation by taking responsibility for her role#and emma sherr-ziarko's voice acting killed me in that ep#such a big big queueniverse and you only gave yourself the tools to think about a small portion of it

The natural end to my W359 relisten is and always will be the reunion episode they did on Emma Sherr-Ziarko (Minkowski)'s podcast Pairing and it is a joy as always but for those who have not listened to it one of the questions that she asks the entire cast and crew is what they think their character's drink of choice would be and I completely forgot that Michelle Agresti's answer for Maxwell was just straight vodka or a martini but with nothing in it other than gin and that conversation devolves into the fact that Maxwell was canonically a horse girl and that shit had me cracking the fuck up
#being completely honest I was discovered by one of my flatmates leaned over the kitchen counter basically crying laughing#wolf 359#w359#alana maxwell

I do think there's something special about the way that audio drama creators seem to love including cameos of voice actors from other popular audio dramas. Obviously, part of the reason why actors from one show might pop up in another is because the audio drama creator community is relatively small and interconnected, and also because those actors are very talented.
But there's also often such a sense that creators are having fun with these cameos. Like Greater Boston casting audio drama heavyweights Briggon Snow, Zach Valenti, and Felix Trench as famous film actors Matt Daemon, Ben Affleck, and Mark Wahlberg respectively. Or Faux and Stallion having Tom Crowley (who plays a Victorian detective in Victoriocity) pop up as Dr Watson. Or Unseen casting Beth Eyre and Felix Trench as characters who are twins. Or Arden getting Emma Sherr-Ziarko to play an actor impersonating a character played by her former Wolf 359 costar Michelle Agresti (with Michaela Swee also appearing as an actor impersonating the other main Arden lead).
In these cases, it's not just that there's a cameo, but that the cameo is given particular (often comedic) significance to those who are aware of the featured actor's other work. The vast majority of people wouldn't recognise any of these voices. But by doing these very intentional cameos, these creators show confidence that a fair chunk of their audience will know these actors and enjoy the link. There's an awareness that listeners of one audio drama are fairly likely to listen to (or at least be aware of) other fiction podcasts, even when the shows in question aren't of particularly similar genres. Recognising these cameos feels like being in on a secret. It feels like these shows are giving a little nod to listeners to say that we're part of the same club.
#It'd be fun if you reblogged with your favourite audio drama cameos#I know most of my examples are Wooden Overcoats actors#but those are just the ones that have stuck in my head the most#This has been in my drafts since the Greater Boston S4 finale#If you think I didn't squeal to myself at the Gabriel Urbina & Sarah Shachat cameo#you are wrong#and they aren't even known as actors?!#But I feel like the GB creators were confident that some people would do a double-take there#I'm pretty sure that's not even the first cameo I've heard them do in an unrelated show#Anyway I am definitely the target audience for things like this#It brings me so much joy#I have never cared at all about recognising an actually famous actor in a film#but recognising someone in an audio drama just hits different#One day I do want to make a complicated infographic to show how all the podcasts I've listened to are interconnected#I have a conspiracy wall about it in my mind#the empty man posteth#audio fiction#podcasts#fiction podcasts#audio drama

i'm sure they're busy, but it is stressing me out a little that i haven't received a reply re: the wolf 359 thank you note; i feel like i'm responsible for relaying that + making sure everyone knows their messages were seen and appreciated. i can say that emma sherr-ziarko has seen it, but otherwise... unclear. i'm sorry about that. :(

In true Caitlyn Kiramman and Riz Gukgak fashion, I am taking on the strangest fan project possible:
A Conspiracy Board.
The idea is this: link as many of my personal favorite medias as possible via shared cast.
The rules:
Cast members must be On The Show to count. That means just knowing each other doesn't count. It also means a shared network/platform isn't enough.
All linking media MUST be shows/channels/movies I personally enjoy. Otherwise, I could link together literally anything.
For theatrical productions and other similar media, a connection only counts for one specific production. Neil Patrick Harris can get me Sweeney Todd, but not Gaten Matarazzo, because they haven't been on stage together or in the same production.
The two biggest hubs that make this possible for me personally are Dropout (duh) and Escape This Podcast. Dropout obviously links in all of the D&D shows I watch, plus Starkid/Smosh via Angela Giarratana. The Try Guys were on Um, Actually, which means I can link in Rosanna Pancino and from there get Game Theory, Markiplier, Ethan Nestor, Game Grumps, etc. Sam Reich was a guest on Lateral, which means Mythbusters/Adam Savage, Answer In Progress, and a couple others. You can get to Escape This Podcast from Lateral or by way of the McElroys guesting on both Tiny Heist and What Alice Found, which opens up doors for Gravity Falls, Taskmaster, anything Neil Patrick Harris is in, and my personal favorite, Good Job Brain.
The only thing I can't fit in right now are Arcane and Wolf 359. Which really just fuels my Get Emma Sherr-Ziarko On Escape This Podcast agenda—
And of COURSE I will eventually be putting all of this on a physical conspiracy wall, red string and all. Because duh.
#i told my partner “i want a feature wall conspiracy board” and he said yes of course#which says more about him than it does me I think#wolf 359#arcane#dropout#dimension 20#escape this podcast#mbmbam

Having listened to the Graphic Audio full-cast audobook for All Systems Red, it was fun but I have some thoughts about the voice acting and direction. So now I’m just daydreaming about “if I had Billionaire Money I would buy the audio rights to TMBD and direct and produce another full cast audio version with voice actors handpicked and paid lavishly by Me.”
The cast being:
All Systems Red:
Murderbot: Kevin R. Free is the voice of Murderbot to a lot of people. I would think very hard about this but it would be a foundational return to form. However I feel like I want to reach out and find a non-binary VA because it's a niche that's been tragically underrepresented in Murderbot VAs. I joked before about Vico Ortiz playing live-action Murderbot but do they want to try their hand at voice acting?
Mensah: Cecilia Lynn-Jacobs. Voices Captain Lovelace on Wolf 359. Has incredible talent and range and does the Intrepid Galactic Explorer so well.
Pin-Lee: Emily Woo Zeller. An audiobook narrator I've consistently liked.
Ratthi: Stephen Dookie. He plays the part of Polites in Epic: The Musical and he's excellent in a very sweet, upbeat, friendly way.
Gurathin: Sungwon "ProZD" Cho. I'm picturing somewhere in the range of his Miles Edgeworth voice for this.
Arada: Michelle "Vixy" Dockrey. She's a singer not a VA but her voice sounds so nice.
Overse: Tanja Milojevic. Her range is incredible.
Bharadwaj: Rukhmani Desai (Captain Tripathi, The Strange Case of Starship Iris. She has that calm, reasonable, rational, desperately kind character voice she plays well in Starship Iris that I think would go well for Bharadwaj)
Volescu: Zach Valenti. The vibes are right.
Additional voices by Tanja Milojevic and Zach Valenti. Yes all of them.
Artificial Condition:
ART: Janelle Monáe and I mean it
Tapan: ItMe of InCo Podcast
The ComfortUnit: also ItMe because an important part of listening to faer acting is realizing in awe how fae voices so many characters at once and make them all sound distinct.
Tlacey: kinda thinking Ariela Rotenberg. she does smugly confidently evil very well. However we cannot discount casting ItMe for this role also
Additional voices by Tanja Milojevic and Zach Valenti.
Rogue Protocol:
Don Abene: Emma Sherr-Ziarko. She also deserves to be an intrepid space leader again.
Miki: ItMe again in InCo Season 2 Updated SAWA mode
Wilken: me. I want a part. I could totally be a badass evil space assassin
Gerth: does Gerth even have any lines.
Additional voices by Tanja Milojevic and Zach Valenti.
Exit Strategy:
Serrat: Zach Libresco. this casting + Janelle Monáe as ART were what drove me to make this post in the first place.
The Combat SecUnit: Ellen McLain in GLaDOS mode. All 2 lines it has.
Network Effect:
Amena: Ishani Kanetkar (The Strange Case of Starship Iris, The Godshead Incidental, excellent VA for a proud and curious but scared young person)
Iris: Jordan Cobb (Janus Descending, Primordial Deep, excellent VA for a gritted-teeth calm scientist in a strange and dangerous place)
Seth: Avery Brooks (I know it is not the 90s anymore. but. Captain Sisko. I can imagine <3 )
Martyn: Alexander Siddig / Siddig El-Fadil (Dr. Bashir). They're TV actors but! I want them as the Ship Captain Husbands
The rest of ART's crew: other podcast VAs I love who I haven't come up with a role for yet. Kristen DiMercurio, Beth Eyre, James Oliva.
Supervisor Leonide: Claudia Christian (Commander Ivanova on Babylon 5 <333 )
Eletra: Michaela Swee who is very busy working at An Actual Hospital but I have a billion dollars in this dream scenario so I can pay her to take a day and record like 4 lines
Ras: Zach Valenti. This is very important.
Three: Jackie Andrews who plays R. J. McCabe on Starship Iris and Elinor Lopez on The Pasithea Powder has the right Vibes For This
Zach Valenti as the Additional Voice of every goon and target who gets the shit scared out of them and/or dies.
Fugitive Telemetry:
Indah: Molly Olguin maybe. she could Be Indah. Absolutely means we need Jackie Hedeman to have a role in FT too.
Tifany: Michelle Agresti (Wolf 359, Arden)
Aylen: Tracey Sayed (also Arden)
Jollybaby, Tellus, Balin: I would open the floor to the delightful Murderbot fandom. Who wants to voice a Preservation bot
Additional voices by--well you know the drill.
#The Murderbot Diaries#fancast#ItMe InCo Creator I hope you're okay with me tagging you. I don't know your name#this is a sign for everyone to listen to Wolf 359; The Strange Case of Starship Iris; InCo; Arden; The Pasithea Powder; and Janus Descendin#whoof I put way too much time and effort into this
