One of the two most sensible and self-aware people in the party right now is Astarion - that's where we are right now! D: Be Isekai'd into the world that Yogiri Takatou is isekaid, (which seemingly hundreds of thousands of people get isekaid to constantly) as someone on the bus with Yogiri, you can choose wether the battlesong installation by Sion proves a success, note that at the end of the series, his surviving classmates are offered a return home, and that due to the time loop via the great sage, you will be revived if you die prior to volume 14ish should you not be killed by Yogiri, and only have to survive the ensuing events of the remaining volumes

Once again dreading the family holiday get-together. It's just going to be so...so bad.

Following the lectures is a debate between the candidates—one topic they were allowed to prepare for, the other is held secret until the last moment and all must debate off the cuff. Nicolo and Sanudo are so terribly enthusiastic about this it makes Cristof worried. He tells Nicolo that he’s too cracked up, he can’t debate anyone. Who is he debating first? Egnazio from Manuzio’s press. He can’t debate the man! He’s a priest! They’re debating Augustine and Aquinas! Cristof is fucked! Nicolo tartly tells him to calm down and declares that Cristof is fine.

And he is fine. Until the second debate which is against Musuro, one of Sanudo’s apparent nemeses and it is on Theocritus. Cristof again says he can’t do it. Nicolo tells him to stop the amateur dramatics and go smear Musuro’s smug arse across the pristine marble floors of the hall. Cristof thinks Nicolo’s approach to loving encouragement could use some work.

Afterwards, Nicolo tells him, ‘It was a fine spectacle.’

Sanudo enthuses, ‘I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.’

Cristof, worried, ‘Is that a good thing?’  

Nicolo smiles his Nicolo smile.

I love their love and I love what a little maniac Cristof is. Absolute idiot. Bless him.
