Word count: 3.1k words
[Y/N POV]
It's been a week or two since I moved in with Hailee and so far it's going well, we are starting to get to know each other more outside of work as if we're now bestfriends. So far I am enjoying this job, however I still can't get the room that's in that dark hallway and whatever lies in that room. I keep on thinking about it, every time I head upstairs or downstairs to grab myself a glass of water to the point I start to stir up different conspiracy theories only lunatics online can believe.
Today is also my day off, which means I get to catch up with Jackie. Jackie and I met up at a restaurant somewhere in downtown LA, and I told her everything, yes including the room.
"Wait, so there's another room?" Jackie asks, grabbing a bite off her burger. I nod in response, bouncing my leg up and down  "Yep, I don't know what's in there and I don't want to know what's in there even though I make weird conspiracy theories to myself about what's in there." I said, scrolling through my phone.
"Maybe it's her album?" Jackie said jokingly and we burst out in laughter, I shook my head and sighed "I wish, if it was her album I'd be leaking that in an instant... As a joke!" I said, nervously chuckling as I look around my surrounding hopefully people do not know that I work for Hailee Steinfeld. "But enough of that, how's Hailee treating you tho? I bet she's treating you like a queen or something." Jackie says, a smile forming on her face as she leans forward.
My face turns red smiling at Jackie, she's not wrong Hailee does spoil me like crazy as if I am not her personal assistant. Yesterday, while we were out and about after a meeting, she took me shopping and I saw the pair of designer shades I've wanted for so long but I couldn't buy it because it's expensive as hell. But Hailee at the end bought me the pair of designer shades that I've been visioning for quite sometime now.
"Well you're not wrong, she does spoil me like crazy." I say, I pulled out the pair of shades that she bought me and showed it off to Jackie. "She bought these for me yesterday." I giggled, putting them on. Jackie gasps knowing that it's the sunglasses I've always wanted since we we're teenagers on stan twitter. "Oh my god, it's the sunglasses you wanted!" Jackie exclaims, admiring every nook and cranny of the sunglasses on my face. All I can do is laugh and nod "I know right?" I responded, putting the sunglasses away.
"Those sunglasses suit you!" Jackie compliments the way the sunglasses suit my face and takes a sip of water, we were both silent for ten seconds and Jackie as always breaks the dead air between us.
"Are you sure Hailee isn't like... Making any moves on you?" Jackie asks, my face turns redder than the tomato sauce of the dish I am having.
"Oh Jackie... You are feeding me into my delusions once again." I laugh, rolling my eyes. Way before I got this job, Jackie and a bunch of our old twitter mutuals used to poke fun of me in a friendly manner about how much of a simp I am for Hailee and as Jackie's friend, I fire back all the time.
"I am being serious, I am not feeding into your delusions Y/N/N. She has been spoiling you left and right, you live in her house, she bought the shades you've wanted, she is making the moves on you." Jackie says to me, I roll my eyes and sighed. "Well if she was making the moves on me then I am now The President of the United States." I said, smiling as I call the waiter for the bill, Jackie smirks and shakes her head and we continue to talk as the day ends.
Hours later, I am back at Hailee's place. I just finished brushing my teeth and I am getting ready for bed, I glance at the room that's in the deep hallway. I start to get second thoughts about me trying to find what lies behind that door, or me keeping my job and not fucking shit up between Hailee and I.
I check my surroundings if Hailee is around and then I look at the room, I slowly and surely take a step closer and reach for the door knob. My legs start shaking, the palms of my hand start to form sweat, and my heart starts to beat like crazy.
"Y/N?" A voice called out to me, I turned around to see Hailee behind me. I dropped my hand down and faced her properly, wiping the sweat off my hands and nervously smile.
"Hailee, Hi!" I greeted her, nervously smiling at her "Quick question, what's in this room?" I asked her. It was a very straightforward move but I was so curious, Hailee looks at the door and furrows her brows and looks back to me.
"It's just a storage room, very boring stuff there. Nothing interesting." Hailee says nonchalantly as if it's not bothering her just one bit, all of the chaos in my brain stopped for a bit and it felt like the skies cleared in my brain.
"Oh! I see, it looks very creepy from my end that's all and I was just super curious what lies behind that door." I said, Hailee laughs and pats my shoulder giving it a squeeze.
"It's nothing, Y/N. Now you go get some rest, we got important things to discuss tomorrow, work related." Hailee says, being serious this time around and walks away from me. I didn't say a word and just nodded, cause if I speak the conversation will last for a life time. I glanced at the door and then left and went back to my room.
Three o'clock am, hours later.
I opened my eyes, my throat was dry and I start to cough. I am feeling a little thirsty and I want to drink a glass of water, cause who hasn't had that moment when you wake up in the middle of the night and you want to drink a glass of water.
I got out of bed and left my room, heading downstairs to grab a glass of water. As I walk down the halls of her house again, my eyes dart the room in the dark hallway and I noticed something. The door is barely open and I can see light coming out, the light is red.
Wait... No... What the fuck? This better be a prank. I swallowed hard and reached for the door, slowly opening it. I gasped at what I saw, I couldn't believe my eyes "What the hell." I whispered to myself as I slowly make my way inside the room. The room looks like it's from those fifty shades of grey movies, it had ropes and chains. This made me freeze, could this be Hailee's secret? The secret that she's been hiding from the general public? Jackie probably might be right all along, God I am so oblivious- But I don't care I am still  standing for what I said and at the same time shocked.
"Y/N." I heard Hailee's voice, it sounds so stern and serious. I can tell that my job is on the line with this one, I turned around and saw Hailee in an oversized Daytona shirt leaning against the door frame. "Hailee, I can explain." I said as I put my hands up as if I was caught by the authorities. Oh god this is it... I am gonna lose my job, Hailee didn't say a word she just closed the door behind her and walked up to me.
"I think I should be the one who needs to do the explaining." Hailee tells me, putting my hands down Hailee takes a deep breath and looks into my Y/E/C colored eyes in a very sincere and serious manner.
"I know that this is shocking to you but yes... This is what's inside the room in the dark hallway. I know that this isn't typically what you'd see from someone like me but yeah... This is the secret I have been hiding from people like my friends and family." Hailee explains with sincerity in her eyes, all I can do now is just listen to her explanation. I though the secret in question was something  very controversial, but this... This isn't even controversial or anything. "Y/N, I totally understand if you seeing this will make you change the way you think about me and if you want to quit your job I understand-"
"Hailee." I said, finally speaking up after she explained everything. "I didn't know that you'd be into this." I continued, looking at the array of whips, collars, and cuffs on the wall and back to her. "Do you do this with anyone or?" I ask her.
Hailee simply shook her head "No, I haven't." Hailee admits to me, she pulls me in close to her our faces inches away from each other. "I haven't..." Hailee repeats, moving a strand of hair away from my face. My heart starts to beat like crazy already, I am stuck and frozen and all I can do is nod "And I want to do this with you first..." Hailee admits once again.
"Do you trust me, Y/N?" Hailee asks me, the silence in the room is loud and the only thing I can hear is her breathing and my heartbeat. I don't know what to say at this point and at the same time I want to do it, so I responded to Hailee's question by nodding.
"No, sweetie... I want you to say it... Use your words." Hailee says, this time she caresses my cheek. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes shut, and cleared my throat "Y-yes..." I responded. A smirk forms on Hailee's face hearing that one word come out of my mouth "Good girl." She whispered, pulling me in for a heated kiss.
The way her lips crashed against mine made me melt, it felt like an out-of-body experience for me. I gave in and kissed her back, letting out moans between the kiss as Hailee deepened the kiss. She chuckles between the kiss, running her hands down my body as she pulls me closer to her "You are so responsive Y/N." Hailee mutters, trailing kisses down from my jawline to my neck. I let out a moan as I felt Hailee slide her hand inside my shirt, caressing my bare skin,
"Can I?" Hailee asks me, tugging the hem of my shirt.
"Please." I begged.
Hailee smirked, she then proceeded to take my shirt off, so it was just me and my pajama pants "God you're so breathtaking... You look like a Goddess..." Hailee praises, grabbing a hold of my breasts and giving them a gentle squeeze making me moan. Hailee smirks at my response as she kisses my neck, kneading my breasts "I love how responsive you get when I touch you, Y/N." Hailee mutters as she pins me down the bed, her grip on my wrist isn't firm but is sure to hold me down. She gets on top of me and starts to straddle me, she reaches for the cuffs on her bedside drawer putting them on me "Is this okay?" Hailee asks as she adjusts the tightness of the cuffs on me "I want you to be honest with me, okay? I don't want to do things you're not comfortable with, darling." Hailee says once again, reassuring me.
I look up at her and nod in response "Yes." I say, feeling comfortable with the grip of the cuffs, feeling the cool metal against my skin.
"Good girl..." Hailee nods, kissing my lips once again and then her lips trailed down from my lips, to my neck, down to my chest. She takes one of my nipples and sucks on it, swirling her tongue around it making me gasp and moan as I feel a familiar heat forming between my legs "Oh God..." I quietly moaned feeling her tongue on my nipples, Hailee looked up at me as she runs her fingers on the waistband of my pajama pants "Please, Hailee..." I begged, fully surrendering to her.
Hailee pulls down my pants and underwear in one go, tossing it aside along with the pile of clothes on the floor. Hailee looks down and bites her lower lip seeing the sight of my wet core "You're already wet, Y/N." Hailee says, stripping her clothing in front of my eyes and showing off those nice abs she has.  She spreads my legs open, caressing my inner thighs making me whimper "Whats your safe word?" She asks, lowering herself between my legs.
"Safe word?" I ask her back.
"Yeah, give me your safe word..." Hailee responds, I know a thing or two about safe words thanks to mistakenly reading a paragraph from Fifty Shades of Grey at a Barnes and Noble.
I just look into her eyes and I swallow hard "Lamp post." I said, I didn't know what safe word to tell Hailee but thats my safe word. Hailee chuckles and looks at me again "Lamp post it is, just relax okay? It's just you and me..." Hailee says in a reassuring tone, kissing my inner thighs.
I let out a sharp gasp as Hailee's tongue licked my wet folds up and down, those gasps turned into moans and whimpers that echoed around the bedroom. The way Hailee's tongue moves is a whole other level, making me moan more and more "Hailee... Oh fuck... Y-yes..." I moan out, rocking my hips back and forth for more pressure.
"Y/N, you taste so good... Where have you been all my life?" Hailee mutters, sliding two fingers in and out of my entrance as her tongue flicks my clit making me moan more and crave her more and more. "Hailee.. Please... d-don't stop..." I moan out, Hailee smirks as she picks up her pace to the point I am squirming under the sheet of the bed.
"You like that? How does it feel to be used like this?" Hailee asks, curling her fingers inside me as she kisses my neck, picking up the pace of her fingers inside my wet heat. All I can do is just nod, I can't form any words on how I am lost in the pleasure of her fingers "Y-yes... It feels so good..." I manage to respond, looking into her hazel eyes underneath the red light of the room.
Sweat starts to drip down my forehead, my body is glistening in sweat as well as Hailee continues to finger me. I can feel myself getting closer and closer to the edge already, my walls start to tighten around her fingers each thrust Hailee makes.
"Hailee... I'm close..." I said, letting out a series of whimpers and moans, Hailee leans closer into my ear, nibbling on it "Thats what I want to hear... Cum for me y/n..." Hailee whispers.
I arched my back, letting out a gutteral moan and screaming Hailee's name out in pleasure. My whole body starts to shake and tremble due to the amount of pleasure Hailee has given to me, Hailee looks at me and slowly pulls her fingers out of my entrance.
Her fingers are coated in my juices and she takes them in her mouth sucking them clean, letting out a satisfied moan "Y/N... You taste so good..." Hailee says, pressing her lips against mine as I taste myself on her tongue. "But I am not done with you just yet, darling," Hailee says.
I watch her get off the bed and retrieve a strap-on from her closet which made my eyes widen in shock, Hailee smirks at me as she teases my folds with the tip of the strap-on "Have you ever been fucked with a strap-on before?" She asks me.
I respond with shaking my head "N-no..." I said, my face all red and flustered which made Hailee chuckle. "You're so adorable, Y/N. Just relax... You'll probably love it." Hailee says, I let out a gasp feeling the girth of the strap-on inside me making my eyes roll back.
"So tight..." Hailee whispers, she starts to move her hips back and forth slowly but surely making me let out more whimpers and moans. I turn away to stiffle out my loud moans but Hailee gently grabs my face, looking into my eyes as she picks up the pace "That's it, baby... Look at me... God you're so sexy whimpering and moaning for me..." Hailee says, pulling me in for another heated and passionate kiss, hitting my sweet spot repetitively making me moan between the kiss.
I can feel myself getting close once again, my heart rate starts to go insane as she continues to thrust in and out of me "H-Hailee..." I whimpered out as my walls tighten around the strap-on "I'm gonna- I- I can't..." I manage to say. My eyes widened as I climax for the second time tonight, I start to pant and shake due to the intensity and amount of pleasure Hailee has given me. Good thing she is very gentle and started to slow down her pace, Hailee kisses my neck and jawline as her movements start to slow down "Shhh..... It's okay.... You did so well, y/n...." She praises me slowly pulling the strap-on out of my wet core, removing it and tossing it aside. Hailee then takes the handcuffs off of me and I can finally move my arms and wrists.
Hailee then lies down next to me "Come here." Hailee says, gesturing for me to come a little bit closer. I move a little closer to her and she pulls the sheets up to cover our naked bodies, she wraps an arm around me and we look at each other for a while "How do you feel?" She asks me. It took me a second to respond and collect my thoughts, I just cant believe that I just had sex with my boss but not just any boss, it's Hailee Steinfeld we're talking about here.
"I... It just felt like... like..."
"Like a volcano?" Hailee asks me, a smirk forming on her face. God this woman...
I chuckle in response, nodding at Hailee's statement "Yeah... Like a volcano..." Hailee and I stayed like this for a while, she drifted to sleep and I just looked at her and I followed suite, resting my head on her chest feeling her heart beat.

You POV
We've been at the Treblemakers party for a while and Beca still hasn't come home from work. Which means that Chloe is asking me every time she sees me about her and if she has responded to any my messages.
Which I deny, saying I don't know anything and escaping the situation as quickly as possible. I just hope that Beca tells Chloe about the job sometime soon, because it's her first day at the production company and I can't take the stress of keeping the secret anymore.
Stacie: It seems like the new one is flirting already.- she says, shouting close to my ear because of the music, pointing to a place at the party with her finger.
I look amused at where she points, seeing Benji move very strangely and talking to the new Bella.
Amy: They would make a good couple, they are just as weird. - She laughs, joining our conversation.
Cynthia: I don't know.- she denies with a grimace on her lips. -I feel certain vibes from him, you know what I mean.- she comments with an amused smile.
Y/n: I think they would make a slightly awkward couple.- I laugh imagining it. -Besides the fact that we're talking about Benji, I doubt he could even tell her his name, much less ask her out without getting stuck every two words.- I assure them and they all laugh in agreement.
Stacie: You know that from experience, right? - she asks me amused, moving her eyebrows suggestively.
Y/n: Shut up.- I growled, embarrassed, hitting her on the arm. -That was the most uncomfortable moment of my life and I prefer to forget it completely.- I admit sincerely.
Amy: It's true, the weirdo asked little Mitchell out.- she remembers laughing, putting her arm around my shoulders and bringing me closer to her.
Y/n: Amyyyy! - I complain like a little girl when he continues with the topic.
Cynthia: That's why I'm gay.- she assures us proudly.
Stacie: I couldn't be gay.- he shakes his head. -I can't reduce the hunter's prey in half and there are times when a good cock cures everything.- she explains to us without any shame and we all look at her with some disgust.
Y/n: Stacie, too many details.- I say with a disgusted face.
Amy: As far as I know, little Mitchell here doesn't have a dick. - She reminds her with curiosity and amusement at the conversation.
Stacie: She don't need it.- she assures her winking at me. -Besides, the toys are there for a reason.- she comments amusedly and I open my eyes in surprise.
Amy: Wait, what? - she asks with surprise and trying to suppress a laugh, putting on her evil smile. -Does little Mitchell have a harness?- she asks, looking at me completely amused.
Y/n: No, no, no. - I deny quickly, getting out from under the blonde's arm and practically fleeing the place listening to the laughter of my aka-sisters.
I see Jesse sitting alone and decide to go with him. On the way I pick up a glass of pineapple with alcohol inside and take a sip, noticing the strong flavor of gin.
Y/n: I come to keep you company.- I tell him, when I sit next to him and he looks at me funny.
Jesse: To keep me company or to run away from the girls? - he asks me with amusement, pointing with his head where my friends are and where I came from.
Y/n: I can do both at the same time.- I reply amused, taking another sip of the drink.
Jesse: What was it this time? - He asks me, amused.
Y/n: They were embarrassing me.- I respond with a pout and crossing my arms.
Jesse: Were they messing with little Mitchell? - he asks, amused, hugging me by the shoulders. -Do you want me to take care of them?- he asks again, but this time with a fake Italian accent and feigning seriousness.
Y/n: After the competition, right now we need all the bellas.- I answer him and he bursts out laughing at my answer.
Beca: Hello! - she exclaims, appearing out of nowhere and scaring us.
Jesse: Hey, you've come.- he says while they kiss and I pretend to vomit.
Beca: Are you jealous? - she asks me amused. -Don't worry, I have kisses for you too.- she assures me, sitting on my lap and leaving several kisses on my face.
Y/n: Stop, stop, stop! - I exclaim, amused, trying to push her face away, while Jesse laughs at our attitude.
Jesse: Well, how was internship? - he asks when my sister stops still.
Beca: Very productive, yes, they are not up to fooling around.- she tells us, taking my glass from the small bar and taking a sip.
Jesse: Chloe asked where you were.- he tells her.
Y/n: Many times, I have been asked about you MANY times.- I say looking seriously at my sister.
Jesse: Why haven't you told her? - he asks his girlfriend, confused.
Beca: She's very busy with the competition and all that, it wasn't the right time.- she responds, moving her hands nervously.
You see, when I'm nervous or hiding something, I scratch my eyebrow and my sister gesticulates excessively with her hands. So it's very easy to tell when Beca is nervous or hiding something, because her hand movement during a conversation increases by 80%.
Y/n: Beca, you have to tell the girls, I can't hide it anymore and it's only been one day. - I plead to my sister, scratching my eyebrow for the first time all day and feeling some relief.
My sister, seeing my action, sighs with some guilt and grabs my hand so I don't scratch myself anymore.
Beca: I promise I'll tell her soon.- she assures me, placing a kiss on my right eyebrow and hugging me by the shoulders.
Y/n: By the way, we have a new member.- I told my sister, hugging her around the waist.
Beca: But the dean said that we can't do auditions.- she comments with confusion.
Y/n: Apparently she is an heiress and we are obliged to let them audition or something like that. - I explain, shrugging my shoulders since I do not understand the situation myself.
Beca: Okay.- she says, shrugging her shoulders like me and changing the subject.
The three of us talked about everything for a bit, before getting up and joining the rest of the people on the dance floor.
Emily POV
We meet at the car show, where the Bellas are supposed to perform and because of Amy's issue with the president, they gave it to a German group.
Flo: Explain to me again what we do at a car show? - she asks with confusion in front of me on the mechanical stairs.
Chloe: There is a reason and it is very obvious: study the competition. - she answers seriously her.
Emily: Knowing who we are facing will help us win. - I support the co-captain of the group by understanding her point of view.
Chloe: Okay, let's find out where those tour stealers are.- she says confidently, when we reach the end of the stairs. -Stacie!- she calls her when she sees where our aka-sister is.
When we get off the stairs, we all notice Stacie who is perched on the hood of a red car posing and some guys are taking photos of her.
Beca: Don't be a cock-warmer.- she says amusingly to our partner.
Amy: Stacie!- she exclaims, approaching her and causing her to get up from the car. -I bet that made you horny Y/n.- she accuses her evilly.
Y/n: Oh my god! - She exclaims, hitting her forehead in embarrassment and begins to walk faster and  away from the group.
I just watch as she gets ahead of everyone, feeling how breakfast stirs in my stomach at the blonde's comment and knowing that the two have some kind of relationship.
When we get to the performance room, I don't realize that I am between the two Mitchells.
During the performance, I can't help but focus on the warmth radiating from the body to my right and the smell of pear with something floral that I can't make out.
Emily. You smell very good.- I whisper to her without thinking, opening my eyes mortified and she looks at me with confusion.
Y/n: Excuse me?- she asks, approaching me.
Emily: That they seem good.- I say quickly, feeling my heart beating wildly and my hands starting to sweat.
Y/n: Yes, they are.- she nods agreeing with me and returning her attention to the performance.
I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding, trying to calm the fast beating of my heart and wiping the sweat from my hands against my pants.
I take a deep breath, focusing on the performance and trying not to think about the interaction I just had with my bandmate.
When the performance ends, we applaud politely and look at each other without really knowing what to do. None of us imagined that they were going to be so good and that they were so synchronized.
Kommisar: The Bellas of Barden, have you come to see us? - she asks us when they approach us. -Is it because you are a little... as they say to American children? .... in heat - she says and I open my eyes surprised at the comment.
Chloe: We're not in heat. - She denies with her lips together.
Kommisar: We should thank you for giving us this tour, you know, with your clumsy inaptitude.- she tells us seriously. -Should we send them something, something like a fruit basket?.- she asks the boy next to him.
Pieter: Yum yum.- nods agreeing.
Kommisar: Or would you prefer some sweets? - she asks us this time with a smile.
Beca: Hey, we haven't come to fight with you, we just wanted to see you before the championship where we're going to crush you.- she assures the Germans with a smile.
Kommisar: You? - she asks, approaching the brunette co-captain. -Are you going to crush us?- she asks, amused, remaining a few centimeters away from her.
Beca: Well yes.- she answers, moving in her place with some nervousness.
Kommisar: What little thing, like an elf or is it a fairy, a little fairy? - she asks before saying something in her language to one of her companions.
Pieter: Troll.- he responds with a strong accent to whatever she is asking.
Kommisar: That's it, you're like a troll.- she says and I feel how they gently pull me aside.
Beca: And you are physically perfect, and I don't like you at all.- she assures her and we all look at her confused.
Kommisar: Thank you.- she thanks you with a smile.
Y/n: What you really are is a poorly educated bully. - She responds to her sister's insult by placing herself in front of the blonde, who looks at her with a raised eyebrow.
Kommisar: And you are? - she asks with a more defensive posture.
Y/n: I'm the one who will kick your German ass if you insult her again.- she assures her seriously and I can't help but bite my lip at her authoritarian tone of voice.
Chloe: You don't scare us, because when we step on stage we're going to rock it. - she assures them with a smile, changing the subject and trying to lighten the tension in the atmosphere.
Pieter: With what? - he asks sarcastically. -Showing flabby Abby's rabbit.- he says, looking at the blonde with disgust.
Amy: That's not my name. She denies something uncomfortable.
Pieter: I don't know your name, but I can improvise.- he assures her with amusement. -Malena the whale, Lisa the plump one, the bale cow...- he begins and with each name I can see Y/n's body tense up more.
Amy: My name is fat Amy and I have salchichem like you for breakfast. - She says, approaching him in a threatening manner.
Pieter: Your team is like a chicken coop without a rooster, and without a rooster you are poor untied chicks who, as soon as a rooster crows, another rooster crows at them. - he says with that horrible accent.
Kommisar: Girls, follow my advice, don't try to beat us: you can't, we're better. - she assures us with an evil smile, staring at Y/n. -And now I have to go rest my neck, it hurts to look at you from above.- she says, looking this time at Beca with superiority.
I see how Y/n is about to jump on her, so I grab her arm and pull her hard towards me, avoiding any type of altercation.
Beca: Okay, just because you make me feel sexually confused doesn't mean you scare me! We have nothing to lose! Literally nothing! - she exclaims, moving her hands and watching them go. -Aka-fidersen bastards.- she says goodbye, moving her hands above her head.
Chloe: Leave it.- she asks her friend, placing a hand on her arm.
Beca: Oh what's wrong with me? I can't control my hands.- she growls nervously, brushing her hair out of her face.
Once the Germans have disappeared, the atmosphere relaxes a little and I realize that my hand is still gripping Y/n's arm.
I let go immediately, feeling the heat flooding my face and my heart starting to beat fast again.
Chloe: Okay, after this whatever it was.- she says referring to Beca, moving her hand around the brunette. -It's time to get our act together and rehearse until we bleed if necessary.- she says intensely and I look at her surprised.
Amy: Don't get too extreme redhead. - she stops her with a hand in the air. -I already have plans for today.- she tells her, raising an eyebrow.
Ashley/Jessica: Us too.- they say at the same time with one hand in the air.
Stacie: I'm meeting a boy for a class project.- she comments, looking at her nails.
Cynthia: And what is the job? About anatomy.- she asks letting out a laugh.
Stacie: Anyway, I'm leaving.- she says goodbye to everyone. -See you all at home!- she exclaims when he walks away from the group.
I watch her walk away, not understanding how she prefers to go with a boy when she has Y/n. That is, from an objective point of view and not at all personal, I would choose her.
Because I don't know what the boy will be like, but between the eyes full of life, the perfect happy smile, the silky long hair, the abs, the butt, the way she dresses and her personality, I will stay with Y/n a hundred times.
But all this from an objective point of view, I don't like girls and she is also my groupmate. But just because I don't like girls doesn't mean I can't appreciate them.

Beca asks the younger girl as Beca and Chloe were walking out the door.
"No, I'm good. Thanks though"
Emily replies, picking up her phone.
"Alright. We'll be back soon"
A few minutes after they left, there's a knock on the door.
"Hi baby!"
Emily exclaims when she opens the door to see her girlfriend.
"Hi Em"
Y/n leans up to peck her cheek before walking through the door.
"Are you hungry? I brought stuff to make brownies"
She continues as she walks into the kitchen.
"Brownies? Of course I'm hungry for brownies!"
Emily sits at the counter with an excited grin as she watches her girlfriend pull out the ingredients.
"Did you want me to help?"
"Can you get the bowl out for me please?"
Y/n responds as she gets the ingredients out.
"Of course babe"
A half hour later, the brownies where in the oven and the girls put on a movie while they wait.
Half way through the movie, Y/n feels her girlfriends warm lips against her neck as she groans.
"Emily, the movie"
"The movies boring. Wouldn't you rather make out with me?"
Y/n sighs before moving her head to connect her lips with her girlfriends.
They girls stay like this for a while before they hear the door open.
"Em, we're home!"
Chloe shouts before she sees her roommates position. Beca walks in soon after and freezes when she sees the sight.
"Guys! You're early!"
Emily chuckles out with a nervous smile as her girlfriend moves to the other side of the couch, looking at the ground.
"I'm sorry, we would've taken longer if we had known you were hooking up"
Beca grumbles out sarcastically.
"I didn't know you were the type for hookups Emily"
Chloe glares at the shorter girl that's sitting next to her friend.
"She's not a hookup, she's my girlfriend"
Emily replies as she takes her girlfriends hand.
"You have a girlfriend? What's your name?"
Beca asks as she turns to the shorter girl.
"Um, I'm Y/n. It's nice to meet you"
She smiles at the older girls only for them to stare at her.
"Uh, we made brownies if you wanted some"
She tells the girls with a sweet smile and a huge grin appears on Chloe's face.
"Brownies? I like her Beca"
"What? Just because she made brownies?"
Beca appears flabbergasted.
Y/n goes to get the brownies out of the oven as the group begins to talk.
"Why didn't you tell us you had a girlfriend?"
Beca asks the younger girl.
"Because I knew you'd get like this"
Emily replies with a whine.
"I'm getting like this because you didn't tell us! You know we would support you"
Beca replies.
"Well, do you like her?"
Emily asks with a nervous voice.
"Of course we do, she's really sweet. We're still gonna have the talk with her though"
Emily groans before her girlfriend walks in with the plate full of brownies.
"Y/n, sir down. We need to talk"
Beca tells the girl sternly.
"I-okay"
She quickly sits down and looks up at the girls.
"Emily's our best friend. If you ever hurt her I will hunt you down. I don't care where you are in the world, I swear I will find you"
Beca glares down at her before smiling, watching sweat drip down the girls forehead.
"She's just kidding, Y/n!"
Chloe bursts out laughing along with Beca as Y/n finally cracks a smile.
"Alright, we'll leave you two alone now"
Beca says before they walk out the door.
"I'm sorry they did that Y/n, they do like you I swear"
Emily smiles at her girlfriend as they turn to look at each other.
"It's okay. I like them too. And I love you"
Y/n leans up to connect their lips together.
"I love you too"
Emily whispers against her girlfriends lips.

What I want to ask you guys is, do you prefer reading the whole chapter (it'll have at least 15k words I think), or do you prefer if I split it in two parts? Let me know in the comments!
Without further ado, enjoy!

Summary: Y/N admits her feelings for Emily to Stacie. The Bellas go to a music retreat.
Warnings: none.
Word count: 4833 words.

"Hey Y/N, have you seen Beca?" Chloe peeked her head into Y/N’s room when she noticed her door was open and found her on her bed typing away on her laptop with a few books and a notebook strewn all over it.
"No Chlo, we got lunch together, but I hadn’t seen her since then."
"Do you know where she could be? I need to talk to her about our WORLDS setlist." Chloe asked, her face pleading Y/N to tell her her sister’s whereabouts. Y/N knew exactly where Beca was, but she promised her she wouldn’t tell anyone about her job, so even if it physically pained her to lie to the redhead, that now resembled a kicked puppy, she had to.
"I don’t know. She may be in her favorite cafe. She likes their espresso." Okay maybe she need to strengthen up her resolve around the redhead, because it seemed almost impossible to let her down when she pouted at her that way. It is almost as hard as letting Emily down. But let’s not go there, Y/N wasn’t in the mood to self-embarrass herself for every time she caved in with just a glint of Emily’s pout and puppy dog eyes.
"Great! I’ll go there. Oh and Y/N/N-" Chloe opened her mouth to say something more but was interrupted when a muffled sound of feet climbing up the stairs stopped her. "Oh hey Emily." At the mention of the brunette Y/N sat up straight on her bed and instinctively adjusted her appearance, glad that Chloe had her head turned to the side to greet Emily and her vision was blocked by the door frame so she couldn’t notice how desperately she fixed her disheveled self - little did she knew, Chloe totally noticed.
"Hey Cap, how is it going?" The beauty that is Emily Junk appeared a few moments later at Y/N’s room’s doorstep, causing Y/N’s throat to dry up right away at how effortlessly beautiful Emily was, clad in worn, ripped jeans and what Y/N just noticed was one of her Lady Gaga old t-shirts. "Y/N/N!"
"Hey Em."
"I’m good, legacy! I’m in a hurry, I’m going out to go find Beca. She is at the cafe out of campus. Do you guys want something from there?"
"No, I’m good."
"Nope, thank you. I’ll see you later Chlo. Oh and tell my sister that she still needs to hear my new mix."
"Noted, I’ll see you later guys." Chloe waved at them enthusiastically, Y/N eyeing her entrance just until she heard the house’s door close before hurriedly standing up and closing the door. In her focused state she didn’t notice Emily entered her bedroom and neatly closed Y/N’s books and notebook and placed them on her nightstand so she could sit on the mattress, so when she turned around to grab her phone on the bed, she met a curious, confused gaze.
"What’s wrong?"
"I’ll explain it to you in a second, I need to call Beca first." Emily silently nodded and watched Y/N dial Beca’s phone number before sitting beside her on the bed. "Becs! Hey- Yeah, no, I’m fine! Listen, you need to get out of the studio in like 5 seconds. Chloe came here to ask me where you were, again." Emily watched intently the Y/H/C girl talk on the phone with her sister, clearly not hearing what Beca was saying but she could take a wild guess what the short brunette told the Y/H/C girl as Y/N resumed her talk after stopping for a few seconds to let her sister speak, "Yeah! That pout is irresistible! I couldn’t lie to her again, so I told an half lie." Emily’s eyes inadvertently trailed down to follow the gentle nibbling Y/N’s teeth were doing on her bottom lip, snapping out of her gaze when she noticed her mouth started moving again, "you need to go to the coffee shop right out of campus. She is going there." Emily felt bad for Y/N when she heard slight yelling from the other end and watched Y/N grimace guiltily at her sister’s obvious scolding. "I’m sorry. She would’ve asked too many question Becs. Yeah, okay. I’ll talk to you later. Bye sis, love you."
Emily watched as a soft grin lightened the girl’s previous troubled features, guessing Beca told Y/N ‘I love you’ back, before hanging up her phone, "everything okay?"
"Yeah, or I think so." Y/N snorted as she blocked her phone and discarded it on the mattress beside her to regard Emily with a warm smile.
"You told me you would’ve explained what was happening." Emily’s words seemed to darken Y/N’s bright expression with a worried, anxious one, but the hand that she quickly put on Y/N’s one to comfort her seemed to restore her gentle grin.
"Can you keep a secret?" Y/N asked with her eyes locked intently into Emily’s brown ones while her hand turned around to entwine their fingers together instinctively. This small, insignificant gesture sparked shivers throughout their bodies and sent free wild butterflies flying around their stomaches, while small, shy smiles settled on the two girls’ features.
"Yes, you can trust me." Emily nodded resolutely, her eyes locked into Y/N’s Y/E/C magnetic irises to convey how truthful she was being. "I won’t tell anyone. I just want to know because I can clearly see this is troubling you, so I want to help you. And sharing it with just one person, me, it may help you feel a bit better about keeping secrets from the Bellas."
Y/N almost tore up at how thoughtful Emily was being, so she did the first thing that came to mind and hugged the girl tightly, "thank you Em."
"Don’t thank me, I’m here for you, you know that."
"You are one of a kind miss Junk." Y/N spoke up after they pulled away from the embrace, watching a big grin fold over Emily’s lips before bumping their shoulders together instead of doing what the irrational part of her mind was screaming her to do, kissing her cheek. "Anyway, this secret is about Beca."
"Duh, I already figured it out." Emily said matter-of-factly, having witnessed the conversation the two sisters had on the phone, smiling cheekily at the girl sat beside her and pointed with her hand Y/N’s phone on the mattress beside her.
"Okay, Sherlock-" Y/N rolled her eyes good naturedly at Emily’s big, teasing grin, a gesture that pulled an inebriating giggle to leave her lips and that sent her stomach into a spiral of mushy feelings, "she got an internship at a recording label."
"Oh that’s so great!" Emily screeched at the top of her lungs from the great news, only to be shushed by Y/N a second after, "sorry! I’m so happy for her, she is starting to make her dream come true, I hope it will happen for you too, soon." Emily continued in a quieter tone, a genuine, supportive smile etched on her beautiful features as her thumb caressed the back of Y/N’s hand still entwined with hers.
"Thank you Em. You will be the first talent I’ll produce. You will be one hell of a popstar!" Y/N stated with a big, smile of her own, patting herself on her shoulder when a blush tinted Emily’s cheekbones and a shy smile took place over her previous confident ones.
"Anyway, why is she keeping it a secret? It’s awesome!" Emily reasoned when her mind processed the whole confidential deal, shaking her head to focus on their conversation and not on how beautiful Y/N’s eyes were this close.
"Because she didn’t want Chloe and the Bellas to think that she is not 100% focused on WORLDS. When she got the news we just got out of the dean’s office where we were given the only chance to save the Bellas with WORLDS. She didn’t want to add more concerns to Chloe."
"Oh, I get it. I think she could tell Chloe and the Bellas about it now, they won’t be mad. We support each other and she doesn’t have to sneak in and out of our house anymore."
"It’s what I’ve been trying to convince her to do since day one, but she is stubborn." Y/N smiled at her sister’s obstinacy in doing what she thinks is the best without noticing it wasn’t exactly the greatest option she has. "She will come around, eventually." They stayed quiet for a few seconds then, basking in their rarely quiet house, the girls all closed in their rooms to study, before Emily snickered loudly, causing a confused expression to furrow Y/N’s eyebrows, "what?"
"I was thinking about the fact that from all this mess, you managed to arrange them a date at the coffee shop."
Emily’s sentence instantly brightened Y/N’s face, who regarded the brunette with a sly smirk and wiggling eyebrows, "of course I did. My sister is not only stubborn, but also an useless lesbian. She had been pining over Chloe for a year and she had never made a move."
"Well to be fair, neither did Chloe." Emily reasoned, pulling Y/N down so they both could lay down on her comfortable bed.
"I think Chloe is scared of ruining their friendship. Beca dating Jessie was though on her, I can tell."
"Oh so she doesn’t make a move because she thinks Beca is straight." Emily hummed pensively, following with Y/N’s train of thoughts.
"Exactly. But she’s not. In the end, my sister is an idiot."
-
"Stacie no, give it back!"
"Relax Y/N/N. I’m not going to sext Emily." Stacie waved Y/N off as she closed the Y/H/C girl’s and Emily’s combo and blocked the girl’s phone so Y/N could focus on what she had to say instead of texting the brunette legacy with a dumb (but totally cute in Stacie’s opinion) grin on her face. "But y’know I could always do that. Just tiny a bit to give you enough courage to finally tell her how you feel."
"I can’t Stace. I don’t want to lose her friendship." Y/N sighed out dejected, taking her phone back from Stacie’s outstretched hand and placing it beside her on the nightstand.
"You totally can. You never know how she feels if you don’t try." Stacie sat on Y/N’s left and wrapped her arm around her shoulders to let her lean her head in the crook of her neck and brushed her hand up and down her bicep in comfort.
"I’m too scared to lose her as a friend." Y/N admitted in a whisper, staring blankly at Stacie’s bed and letting the blonde’s reassuring touch to soothe her insecurities.
"I’m sure you won’t." They let silence linger for a few more seconds before Stacie steered the conversation on a more lighter subject to distract her best friend from her thoughts, "anyway, I took your phone because I wanted to tell you about my day."
"Oh yeah, I’m sure your day was way better than my lazy day off." Y/N lifted her head up from the blonde’s shoulder and met the girl’s eager eyes, urging her on with a nod and a big smile.
"Aubrey is here for a few days before she has to go back to work." Stacie started enthusiastically, Y/N understanding then the girl’s bright mood.
"Oh that’s amazing!" Y/N smiled knowingly at the girl, wiggling suggestively her eyebrows and reveling in the crimson blush splashing over Stacie’s cheeks at the gesture. She found Stacie’s crush for Aubrey extremely cute and adorable since the blonde never acted so shy and nervous around anyone before.
"Stop! I know what you’re doing!" Stacie stated with a warning tone, her eyes rolling good-naturedly at her as she pushed her best friend gently on the shoulder.
"I’m not doing anything!" Y/N replied with a soft tone but the big, smug smirk told the blonde she was far from innocent. "Y’know, I could always sext Aubrey. Just a tiny bit to give enough courage to finally tell her how you feel." Y/N repeated Stacie’s exact words from before, but now she was the one smiling brightly as the blonde blushed hard.
"Shut up."
"Oh Stace, c’mon! I’m so happy for you. I’ve never seen you act so shy around anyone, hell I’ve never seen you blush before!"
"That’s not true." Stacie stubbornly denied as she crossed her arms and pouted adorably.
"Ohw, look at that cute pout." Y/N pinched Stacie’s cheeks despite the girl tried to push her away and awed aloud. "Ok, let’s make a deal. If you admit you like Aubrey more than a friend, I’ll open up more about my feelings for Emily."
Stacie looked up from the floor and met Y/N’s truthful, warm Y/E/C irises, considering the offer a few seconds before making up her mind, "okay."
"Great!" The big grin Y/N sent her way instantly put a similar one on Stacie’s face at the girl’s eagerness, her chest filling up with warmth at her best friend’s thoughtfulness.
"I like Aubrey. Like a lot." Stacie whispered after almost a minute of silence, Y/N not pushing the girl to talk, knowing she would’ve talked on her own terms and when she was completely ready to share her true, deep feelings.
"I knew it! Oh it was so clear! And it’s so fucking cute!" Y/N excitedly stated as she animatedly talked with her hands, her smile getting bigger as she gushed over the two girls.
"I’ve never felt like this before." Stacie admitted, playing with her ring on her middle finger nervously, her eyes trained on the floor as she shyly avoided the girl’s eager eyes.
"But you’ve been in relationships before, right?"
"Yeah, of course. I had a few boyfriends and girlfriends, but I’ve never felt something so deep for anyone of them." Stacie sighed as she thought about her previous relationships and compared her old feelings for her former partners to her current ones for Aubrey. "She is special." The blonde let out dreamily as a dumb, giddy grin appeared on her lips at the mere thought of the former captain of the Bellas.
"Ohw, look at you so adorably mushy thinking about Aubrey." Y/N circled her arm around Stacie’s shoulders and squeezed her into a side hug, "I’ve never seen you act like this. Remember that party when Aubrey tagged along?" Y/N waited for Stacie to nod at her question, which she did a few seconds later when realization hit her after she remembered the party Y/N was talking about, "I’ve never seen you act so shy around someone when you talked with Aubrey and the most shocking thing was seeing you reject anyone that wanted to have sex with you that night, just because Aubrey was there."
Stacie blushed furiously at Y/N’s statement, straying her eyes away again from her best friend’s gaze and focusing on her hand still playing with her ring on her other hand’s middle finger. "I’m actually having less and less casual sex since I’ve admitted to myself I feel something for her."
Stacie whispered so lowly that Y/N almost didn’t catch what she told her, but luckily she did and she gasped in shock and excitement at the blonde’s statement as a big smile settled on her lips, "Stacie my chest is almost ready to explode from this cuteness overload, shit. I’m so so happy for you."
A small smile adorned the girl’s face as she snickered gently and shook her head in amusement, her head moving to the side to look her best friend regarding her with the biggest dopey grin she had ever seen and eyes full of enthusiasm. "You’re a dork."
Y/N stayed quiet for just a few seconds before asking in a soft tone, "did you tell her?"
"Are you out of your mind?! No!" Stacie replied in an instant, her eyes going wide as she stared at Y/N like she just went insane.
"You should, but I’m not pressuring you. Aubrey looks at you like you’re the most precious thing in the world. So don’t be afraid of telling her." Y/N admitted to calm the blonde’s nerves down, conveying how truthful she was being at the still not-so-convinced look Stacie sent her way.
"Anyway, let’s talk about you now." Stacie steered the conversation away from her crush on Aubrey and lifted her eyebrow up in question, before wiggling both of them suggestively with a big, sly smirk on her lips.
Y/N rolled her eyes at the blonde’s elusive change of subject, but she knew the girl will come around eventually to talk more about her crush on Aubrey, and at the dirty look she was giving her, coercing her to spill her feelings for the adorable Bellas’ legacy, "oh yeah, right." Y/N cleared her throat to get rid of the sudden lump forming there and took a deep, grounding breath to give her the courage to just admit what she realized a few weeks prior and was trying to summon enough bravery to tell to her best friend. "Not too long ago, I- I came to the conclusion, that I- fell in love with Emily."
"What?" Stacie asked, her grin falling off her face replaced by an O shape as shock kicked in, not really expecting Y/N to confess something this big.
"I’m truly, madly, deeply, in love with Emily Junk."
"Holy shit, you got it bad baby Mitchell." Stacie stated still stunned by Y/N’s admission, embracing her harder and kissing the top of her head sweetly, "I know how hard it is, keeping it all to yourself and not telling her."
"We’re two idiots, aren’t we?" Y/N asked rhetorically, smiling bittersweetly at hiding her feelings to not ruin her friendship with the cute brunette if she doesn’t feel the same way, and looking at Stacie who was staring back at her in understanding.
"Talk for yourself Mitchell. I’m great." Stacie flipped her blonde hair over her free shoulder and smiled appreciatively when she heard Y/N giggle at her joke, with a small shake of her head.
-
"Guys! Stop arguing! It’s taking us nowhere!" Chloe scolded loudly at the other Bellas bickering after their umpteenth disaster of a show. And it was in a freaking rest home. They almost risked to set the whole rest home on fire after CR’s hair caught fire during their performance.
"Chlo calm down." Beca tried to help the distressed redhead to relax just that tad bit, but she was fidgety and dejected, like they all were, at the fact that they lost their tune and it was affecting their performances as a whole group.
"I can’t! WORLDS will start in a month and we fucking suck!" Chloe slumped down on her seat beside Beca and huffed with her hands crossed under her chest and a big pout on her lips. No one dared to say a word, they just stared at the ground with sad faces as they played absentmindedly with what they had in their hands. "Okay, listen up-" The redhead spoke up after maybe less than 2 minutes, her face now sporting a determined expression and a big encouraging smile as she sat up again, "tough times require drastic measures! Bellas it’s time for a musical retreat!"
-
The other girls didn’t understand what Chloe meant until they set foot on the ground and an authoritative voice reached their ears. "I’m so fucking disappointed in you Bellas! Line up."
After getting roasted by Aubrey for 10 minutes straight, the girl decided to implement the usual business program of their retreat campus and fitting music in it. They started by setting a big tent, then warming up their voices and singing a few songs over and over until Aubrey was satisfied, then the blonde forced them to run 50 laps around their small camp, alternating between singing a few more songs and running without a break in between. "Stace please tell your girlfriend to give us a break! I’m in shape and I’m barely keeping up!" Y/N said out of breath when Aubrey gave them only 3 minutes for a water break.
"Yeah, I think I lost my left leg about 5 laps ago." Emily was bent on her knees and taking big gulps of air, her face red and sweat running down her face. Y/N thought she has never looked so beautiful and adorable as she was right now.
"Guys she’s not my girlfriend. And she is in her Aubreyzilla mode, no one can stop her."
"I’m sure your fingers can help her relax a bit." Y/N murmured after taking another sip of water, watching with amusement Emily’s and Stacie’s faces burn with a crimson blush at her cheeky comeback, but Aubrey calling them to sing their last round of songs prevented her to deepen their blushes with more teasing words.
"Okay! Good job girls. Bathrooms are right over there for you all to go take a shower. I will join you guys later for dinner, I need to take care of some paperwork."
After showering, the girls worked together to light a campfire to cook some dinner as they waited for Aubrey to join them, which she did not too long after. Since they were pretty tired from the hell of an evening their former captain put them through, they went to sleep right away, everyone passing out as soon as they entered their shared tent.
Although they were tired, sleeping in one big tent wasn’t the ultimate comfort, too little space to sleep, air too much stuffy and snores that were too irritating to let a few Bellas have a good night of sleep, so when a loud, blaring trumpet blasted outside their tent around 6 a.m., every Bellas member exited it with loud groans of pain and from lack of proper sleep. "Good morning my lazy Bellas. Day 2 of this amazing retreat. 6 days to come. Y’know the drill, 50 laps. Go go go."
As the day progressed and the Bellas went through over Aubrey’s almost impossible tasks, the lack of sleep and the weather too hot to function, Beca got irritated more and more each passing second, causing her to burst in anger not too long after lunch. Her outburst caused her to spill her secret about her internship job and have a fight with Chloe for her lacking of enthusiasm to save their group.
After taking Beca down from the bear trap she fell into when she walked away from her argument with Chloe, the girls had a proper talk over dinner and made up. They felt the air between them shift and they were glad it did, because they felt already so much more connected compared to when they arrived the day prior. They finally sorted out their problems without stuffing everything inside themselves and talk without filters. Fighting and make up was a daily occurrence with a group of friends that everyone in the group considered family, but making up like real adults was the real deal for them.
"Aubrey, I love you, but please tell me you have more tents for us. I love you guys but that big tent, even though is huge, it can’t have 10 girls sleeping there."
Aubrey looked at Y/N with her signature stoic face for a few seconds, causing the Bellas to hold their breaths in hopeful anticipation, before breaking her serious façade with a big grin that made the other girls mirror her with sighs of relief after she spoke up with a light tone, "yeah, I do. That experience takes place for only one night, where it helps people bond on a deeper level and go through the other activities with a more deep and determined group spirit."
Y/N snorted at her words and shook her head, "the only things I bonded with last night were Amy’s farts and Stacie’s knee in my back. So I think you guys should rethink about that aspect of the program." Y/N’s words elicited loud laughs from everyone except from Amy and Stacie, Amy murmuring an ‘it’s a natural thing’ while Stacie pushed on her shoulder with an ‘you’re a jerk’, causing Y/N’s smile to broad widely.
After tidying everything up, Stacie volunteered to help Aubrey bring all their new tents to the girls, a gesture that didn’t go unnoticed by Emily and Y/N, whose shared suggestive looks and wiggled their eyebrows as the two blondes passed by them.
"Okay girls I have 3 tents for 2 people, 1 for 3 people and 1 for only one person."
"Who wants to give Amy the one for herself so she can fart all she wants?" Stacie asked in a serious tone, giggling out loud right after 8 hands lifted immediately at her question.
"Whatever! More room for me bitches."
"We can take the one for three people." Flo walked over Aubrey to take the tent, then she walked back towards Jessica and Ashley to start setting it, all the while Stacie gave the rest of them their tents. She first walked towards Chloe and Beca, knowing the two would absolutely share a tent to talk more about their previous fight, before she approached Emily and Y/N that were just finishing up setting Amy’s tent, who totally helped with setting her own tent.
"Y/N, Em, is it okay if I-"
"Yes Stace, of course." Emily stopped Stacie’s nervous stuttering with a warm smile, before grabbing the item from the blonde’s hands and hugging it to her chest in an adorable manner that made Y/N almost combust right then and there from too much cuteness.
"Thank you, so so much."
"Try not to be too loud tonight. I’m in serious need of sleep." Y/N cracked a joke and reveled in the blush Stacie sported, a sight Y/N was trying to get used to since it had been happening every single time the former Bellas’ captain was involved in their conversations in the past months.
"Y/N!" Emily slapped Y/N’s shoulder, causing her snickers to increase in volume, as she tried to subdue her embarrassed blush.
When Stacie bid them goodbye and said goodnight to them, Emily started to unpack the tent, leaning down on her knees and figuring out all the pieces, "I’ll be right back Em." Y/N caressed Emily’s right shoulder as she passed by her to approach Stacie who was walking back towards Aubrey, busy with their own tent, and grasped her arm gently in a comfort manner, "on a serious note, how are you feeling about sharing a tent with Aubrey? You okay?"
Stacie smiled at the words of concern her best friend whispered in her ear to not be heard by anyone and shook her head gently in affirmation, "yeah, just a bit nervous. I’m a blushing mess when she is around. What if I make a fool out of myself?"
"Stace, I’ve never seen Aubrey be so soft with anyone. She looks at you like you put the stars in the sky. I’m not pushing you into telling her how you feel, but just relax, okay? If it’s meant to be, it’ll be. Go with the flow, see how she react if you flirt with her. I’m sure she likes you back, Emily thinks so too."
"Thanks, Y/N/N. I needed that. I’ll tell you what happened in the morning."
"Mhmh, you better!" Y/N warned with her forefinger pointed towards Stacie, "and remember, we are sleeping near you guys. So keep quiet." Y/N winked at a once again blushing Stacie, before hugging the girl and walking back to Emily to help her set up their tent.
After everything was ready, the two girls positioned the tent like the others did, with a bit of distance to allow everyone to sleep peacefully without risking to overheat the tents by attaching them to one another and walked in to settle theirselves to sleep. "Ugh this is so much better than last night."
"Oh my god yes! And now we can finally have a proper sleepover!" Y/N stated excitedly, adjusting herself in her sleep bag and watching Emily do the same before making up her mind and trying to be brave for once, "how about we link our sleeping bags together? So we can be more comfortable. And of course if it gets colder tonight we c-can cuddle."
Before Y/N could mentally slap herself for stuttering and for asking a dumb question she thought the brunette was going to say ‘no’ to, Emily grinned brightly at her and got to work to join their sleeping bags before slipping in and immediately cuddling into Y/N, her gesture causing the Y/H/C girl’s stomach to flutter wildly and her cheeks to redden at a quick pace. Y/N was grateful their tent was wrapped around by just a dim light coming from the light pole not too far from their camp, so Emily couldn’t notice her beet red face, but she instantly tightened her arms around Emily’s body and pushed more into hers, "so Em, tell me about your classes."

Y/N sat by the phone, waiting for the phone to ring like she did every night at 8:45 p.m.
She took another hit of the joint she was smoking, giggling at the smell when the phone finally began ringing. "Hi," she answered giddily, perhaps a little too giddily.
"Hey," the man on the other side of the phone answered. "How was your day?"
"Awful," she told him, followed by a small chuckle.
"You seem a little happier than you usually do."
"That's because I upped my dose. I just took my second extra hit," she explained. "Told you my day was horrible."
"Yeah, mine was pretty terrible too," he chuckled in agreement.
"Have you had any tonight?"
"Uh, no, actually. I just got home not long ago," he answered.
"Then hit some, silly," Y/N laughed, breathing in the heavy smell of the weed. Changing the subject, she commented, "You know, I'm thinking about changing up the place."
"Are you sure that isn't the weed talking?" he joked as he attempted to find a lighter.
"No," she rolled her eyes. "I'm serious."
"Well, research shows that filling your home with decor of certain colors can improve your mood and help your focus. For instance, blue might make you feel -"
"You're too chatty when you're sober," Y/N giggly interrupted him.
"Sorry," he replied shyly.
"I'm just kidding, Spencer," she apologized. "I love it. I could listen to your voice all night long."
"Well, now I know it's the joint talking," he kidded.
"Spencer Reid, you take that back right now."
"I will not," Spencer argued, finally taking his first hit of the night.
"And why is that?"
He chuckled multiple times, one after another. "Because you know it's true."
"Did you finally find that lighter I could hear you searching for in your junk drawer?"
"Maybe," he chuckled again.
"You know, you're weird when you're high. You always start out really funny and laughy and then you get really sad."
"What do you think I talk to you for? You're like my weed therapist," he said, followed by a small snicker.
Even in her intoxicated state, Y/N still found a way to be offended by his comment.
Due to her silence, Spencer was able to conclude that he'd hurt her feelings. He was quick to apologize though once he realized her mood had suddenly changed. "I meant that as a joke, Y/N. You know I love talking to you."
"Sure," she replied sarcastically. Changing the subject again, she exhaled and commented, "I don't know. I feel like changing my apartment could improve my mood or something. I have a family member who died recently and while we weren't all that close, hearing everyone talk about her has me thinking maybe I should brighten the place up. Which reminds me, if I don't call tomorrow, I have a funeral to go to."
"Huh, small world. I also have a funeral to attend tomorrow."
"Yeah, it's my mom's cousin. They asked me to sing," Y/N said, scoffing at the end of her sentence. "I don't know why everyone in my family is obsessed with my singing voice. Personally, I think I sound terrible," she giggled.
"You're being modest. Your voice is beautiful," Spencer argued.
"Now that… that is the weed talking," she giggled.
"Sing something for me."
Y/N rolled her eyes as if Spencer could see it. "Are we gonna do this every time we call each other?"
"Yes," he answered.
"I'll humor you since it's the two week anniversary of our first call," she told him. "Hey, Jude. Don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better," she sang through her end of the phone. "You know, that's what they want me to sing tomorrow. Hey Jude."
Even with her voice slurring from the effects of the weed, her voice still managed to be the most beautiful thing Spencer had ever heard. "It suits your voice. I think they'll love it."
"Kiss ass," Y/N giggled.
"No, I mean it."
"Nope, you're a kiss ass."
"And I suppose you aren't a kiss ass? Even though you compliment my every move?"
"That's because you deserve it, Mr. Genius," she replied matter-of-factly. "I'd trade my voice for your IQ any day of the week."
"Well, we could always join forces and use our skills together."
She knew exactly what he was implying. "Spencer," she stopped him.
"I'm serious. We should meet up in person."
"OK, first of all, you've only been calling me for two weeks. Second of all, you know why we can't do that."
"And why is that?" he questioned sarcastically.
"Because I can't let the FBI know that one of their agents is having phone sex with a known pothead who works two part-time jobs just to stay in D.C."
"We do not have phone sex," he scoffed.
"We should," she blurted out, followed by a long trail of laughter.
"I'm serious though. I think the team would love you."
"They'd love throwing me in jail."
"They'd throw me in with you considering I smoke every bit as much as you do."
"Now you do. Two weeks ago when you started, you would've thought you were hitting a joint of air," Y/N snickered, attempting to stop herself from another full-on laughing fit. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, before saying, "You know, you never did fully explain to me why you started smoking all the sudden two weeks ago."
Spencer sighed, noting in the back of his mind that he was about to turn into the sad stoner she'd mentioned earlier. "A couple years ago, I was addicted to Dilaudid. It only lasted for a couple months but it was still a hard thing to get over. As soon as I got the news that my colleague had passed away, I had the urge to start using again. So I thought using something natural like weed would help me, but it's never been as good as the Dilaudid."
"I once had a boyfriend who told me, 'The last is never as good as the first,'" she told him. "He claimed he was talking about how weed would never be able to replace acid, but I'm still convinced he was talking about one of his ex girlfriends."
Spencer chuckled at her statement, though he knew there was some truth in her ex boyfriend's words. He randomly glanced at the clock, noticing it was past his normal bedtime. "I gotta go but I'll call tomorrow if I get a chance," he told her.
"Good night, Doctor."
He felt a small blush appear on his cheeks, secretly grateful that she couldn't see him. "Good night."

The next day, Y/N found herself dressed in her favorite black dress and sporting some dark lipstick, stepping out of her car at the cemetery.
The gathering was small, much to Y/N's surprise when one considered her great-aunt was a U.S. Ambassador. She always assumed that her great-aunt knew practically anyone and everyone.
Y/N spritzed herself with perfume one last time, insecure about the possibility of her clothes smelling like weed, before taking a deep breath and walking over to the crowd of people.
Meanwhile, at Spencer's funeral, he found himself limping over to a group of people he knew, questioning why he used that damn cane considering how it frustrated him more than it did anything else. Spencer stayed close to the few people he knew, a.k.a. his colleagues, nervous to talk to anyone else. He, too, was insecure about the smell of his clothes, though it wasn't until one of his coworkers made a comment that he actually thought about the smell.
"God, Reid, you been burning incense on the car ride over here?" Derek laughed.
"You know, Morgan, incense actually has many health benefits. For instance, lavender incense has been known to aid sleep and reduce stress and anxiety," Spencer corrected him.
"Well, maybe try a different scent next time," his colleague chuckled.
Just then, Spencer felt someone bump into him. He was sure it was his own fault, seeing as he was paying attention to Derek and not where he was going. "Sorry," he blurted out.
"No, it was my fault. I'm sorry," a voice, a familiar voice, replied.
Spencer took in the sight and scent of this woman who bumped into him. He noted that she smelled strongly of patchouli and vanilla, and that the dress she was wearing fit her body perfectly. He couldn't lie, he was intoxicated by her, and he'd only said one word to her.
She gave him a quick, awkward smile before running off after a woman who looked almost exactly like her, just older, and the woman he knew to be… Emily Prentiss's mother?
"Woo-hoo, lover boy," Derek kidded, waving his hand in front of Spencer's face.
"Huh?" he asked, breaking away from his trance.
"Need I remind you we're at a funeral? Emily's funeral?"
"Sorry," Spencer shrugged. "You're right."
"Hey, I'm not saying she wasn't pretty. But she was walking away with the most important woman here."
Spencer sighed, nodding in agreement with coworker.
Derek began walking off toward his seat, Spencer hobbling off behind him.
Elsewhere, Y/N sat down next to her mother and great-aunt, feeling both sets of their eyes staring holes through her.
"Is that really the most funeral-appropriate dress you had?" her mother whispered.
"I think Emily would approve of my dress. Don't you think, Aunt Eliza?" Y/N quipped, situating her dress as best she could while remaining seated.
"Emily, yes. The rest of your family, no," Elizabeth commented, almost daringly.
Y/N smirked. "Good thing we're here to honor Emily and not the rest of the family."
"Y/N," her mother scolded.
Y/N rolled her eyes, turning back to face toward the front. She felt a separate pair of eyes on her, glancing around and attempting to figure out who else was staring at her.
Finally, she spotted the extra set of eyes, sitting in the front row on the opposite side, where the pallbearers were seated. It was the man she accidentally bumped into earlier, the one with the cane. She thought at first he was also concerned about her dress, but realized his expression was much more gentle than judgemental.
She shot him a smile, causing him to nervously look away. Once she was sure his eyes were no longer on him, she took a moment to look him over. She couldn't lie, she found him quite attractive, but had to reel herself back in. After all, she was at a funeral.
☆☆☆
"At this time, we'd like to invite Y/N Y/L/N to sing one of Emily's favorite songs," the priest introduced Y/N.
She took a deep breath as she walked up to the mic. She took one final sigh before the song began playing over the speaker.
"Hey, Jude. Don't make it bad," she began singing. Her eyes were clenched shut, knowing if she so much as even thought about anyone looking at her, she'd teleport back to her seat.
Spencer felt a breath hitch in the back of his throat. He finally realized where he knew her voice from, the girl on the phone.
He kept his composure, distracting himself by focusing on the sound of her voice. He knew she had a beautiful voice, but he didn't realize how much more he'd appreciate it when he was sober.
Once she finished her song, Y/N practically ran back to her seat. She knew she should've taken an edible or something to calm her nerves beforehand, but she remembered that she promised she wouldn't for Emily's sake.
Spencer looked at her from across the way, noticing a shift in her body language. He could tell she was nervous, and figured it was probably because of the lack of marijuana in her system.
Fortunately for Y/N, singing "Hey Jude" was a sign they were in the home-stretch. All that was left was Emily's burial and the reception, which she wasn't technically required to attend.
However, two hours later, she found herself surrounded by pretentious businessmen and women in flamboyant suit-dresses.
"Thank you," Y/N said as yet another businessman complimented her performance and walked away. She shot an annoyed glance to her mother, who simply replied with an eye roll.
"Don't act like you don't like the recognition," she'd commented multiple times throughout the afternoon.
Nevertheless, Y/N attempted to blow it off and have a good time.
However, when the man from before came hobbling along with his cane, she found it hard to focus on anything else besides figuring out why he'd been staring at her earlier.
"Hi," he smiled awkwardly once he'd finally reached Y/N.
"Hi," she smiled back in a similar tone.
"I just wanted to compliment you on your performance earlier," he explained.
"Thank you," she replied. She could've sworn he sounded familiar.
"You know, your voice reminds me of someone I heard sing that song before."
"Yours too," Y/N thought. Instead, she opted for a kind smile, as she was unsure what to say.
"Reid!" a tall, black man called for the brunette in front of her.
Y/N's eyes widened when she heard the name. "Oh, my God. You're Spencer?" she asked.
He gave her a kind smile, nodding at her question. "And you're Y/N," he sighed, overwhelmed with internal joy from finally meeting the woman on the phone.
"Reid, why'd you lea- Oh," the other man said as he walked up. He gave Spencer a teasing look once he'd assessed the situation.
"What?" Spencer asked, confused by his colleague's behavior.
"Aren't you gonna introduce me to your friend?" he smirked.
Spencer sighed in annoyance. "Y/N, this is Derek Morgan. Morgan, this is Y/N."
Y/N held out her hand, Derek taking it in his immediately. Derek was silent for a moment, but he could've sworn he smelled… weed?
It was like a switch clicked in his brain. Spencer smelling like incense, Y/N smelling like weed.
Spencer must've noticed a change in Derek's behavior, seeing as the next thing he asked was, "What? What do you know?"
Derek smirked. "I don't know what you're talking about, pretty boy."
"You know something. You have that look you always get when you know something's up," Spencer reiterated.
"Nothing," he said, "Just that it makes sense as to why you smell like incense and why you never go out at night anymore."
Spencer's and Y/N's eyes both widened, realizing what he meant.
"Don't. Tell. Anyone," Spencer demanded.
Derek began walking away, a smug smile still across his face.
"Morgan!" Spencer called, attempting to run after him as best he could while still using his cane.
"Hey," Y/N stopped him, grabbing his hand. She couldn't believe she was finally touching him for the first time, much less holding his hand.
Spencer turned back to look at Y/N, who had a smirk matching Derek's plastered on her face. "Yeah?"
"Call me later… pretty boy."
Spencer turned away to hide the blush on his face that she'd just caused. He looked forward to calling Y/N every night, but this was a call he knew he'd never want to miss.

Spencer was late again. And what's worse was that he knew he was one step closer to his car breaking down for good.
It wasn't a secret that he didn't do much driving, but in order to get to Y/N's house, he had to drive. Usually he'd get a ride from one of the other team members but as of late he'd decided to drive a little more often. Try something new.
Now that he was late for the fourth time in a row, though, he was starting to second-guess that decision.
"Maybe you should take your car in to get fixed," Emily suggested, once he'd been let in and they all finally sat down to eat.
"Maybe he should just get a newer one," Derek quipped. "That thing's a piece of junk. No offense."
Spencer sighed. "Yeah, I know it's a piece of junk. But it's all I've got and I really don't think I can afford to get a new one... Or to even get it looked at."
"You know... I could take a look at it if you want," said a voice from his left.
Immediately Spencer's heart beat a little faster. When he looked over, Y/N was smiling sweetly, setting down her glass of wine. "R—Really?"
"Mhm," she continued. "I practically grew up in the garage with my dad, and I helped run his shop a few years after I graduated high school. I can take a look, it won't be a problem at all."
"Oh, y—you don't have to," Spencer stammered out.
"You've been late to dinner four times in a row now, and she's offering to help you for free," Morgan said. "Sounds like a good deal to me, kid."
"Really," Y/N said, "it's not a problem."
He couldn't have turned her down even if he wanted to. With the way she was giving him the prettiest smile and the kindest eyes he'd ever seen, it was practically impossible to deny her anything.
So, he smiled shyly and nodded. "Okay. Thanks, Y/N."
She winked at him and he tried his hardest to will his cheeks not to flush. Thankfully, everyone seemed to occupy themselves by asking Y/N about her work as a mechanic, so immersed in her backstory that they didn't notice him failing miserably.
———
Everyone had already left by the time Spencer and Y/N made it out to the car. Since it was almost 10 PM and dark, she asked him to pull the car into the garage, where she had more light.
She moved her car out onto the road so he'd have room, and as he drove it up he already started to feel like he was inconveniencing her. He just had to remember that she'd offered her help and wanted to do this, and it wasn't an inconvenience at all. Maybe then he could relax. Because friends did things like this for each other all the time...
It wasn't a big deal, so he needed to stop making it such a big deal, he thought promptly as he put the car in park and got out.
Y/N was making her way up to the car with a smile and rolling up her sleeves. "Alright, let's see what we're working with."
"Oh, uh, I can get out of your way if—"
"Don't worry," she reassured, waving her hand as she took his keys and went to the hood of the car. "I'm gonna have to ask you some questions anyway. How long have you had the car?"
"It was my mom's. After she couldn't really drive anymore, it just kind of sat in our garage until I went for my license."
Y/N popped the hood and turned on a few lights before leaning over it. "Do you know how long she had it?"
"Not really... I just always remember seeing the car when I was a kid."
"Well, it's actually a pretty nice car, it probably just needs some minor touch-ups. You know, my dad and I worked on a car kinda similar to this one once, except it was older." She laughed a little as she examined the parts, and Spencer watched with wonder as she did so, telling her story.
"It belonged to this old man who refused to get a new car because he'd had this one all his life, right? But the thing was pretty much unsalvageable, no matter how hard Dad and I worked to try and get it back in shape. Too many outdated parts that we couldn't find anywhere else in time..."
"Did you ever fix it?"
"We tried. It was really close, too, but in the end it just wasn't fixable."
"The man must've been pretty mad, huh?"
Y/N's laugh made Spencer's stomach flutter, and he felt his face get a little warm again. "Oh, he was pissed. He ended up getting a newer car in the end, but he kept the old one at his house just in case we ever found some of the parts we needed to finish the job."
"Did... you ever find the parts?"
She sighed rather sadly. "Yeah, eventually. But the old man had passed away before then, so we gave the parts to his son, who fixed it up and actually got it running."
"Wait, really?"
"Mhm... Wish I could've seen the guy's reaction, but his son was really glad he was able to do it. He still sends letters to the shop sometimes, actually. Postcards and pictures and things... My dad relays them to me whenever he gets one."
"Aw, that's... that's really nice."
Y/N looked over at him and smiled. "Yeah. But anyway, you won't have to worry about anything like that. From what I can tell, you've got a bad spark plug, which is why you have trouble starting the car. I don't have any spares so I'll have to go find one, but it's not safe to be driving this until I can replace the part. Can... you live without the car for a few days?"
"Oh, uh, yeah it shouldn't be a problem... I can, uh, I can just call a cab home."
Y/N's eyes widened. "Oh! No, don't worry, I'll take you home."
"Oh, Y/N, you don't have to—"
"Please. It's the least I can do for stealing your car for a few days." She closed the hood and gave him a look that was pleading and more. "We can even go for ice cream or something, my treat."
It wasn't something he could turn down even if he was a nervous wreck around her. Being close to her, spending time with her outside of work, and going on drives together was truly all he could ever hope for. She was like a fridge, and he was a magnet, drawn to her the closer he got.
So despite the knots in his stomach and the heat rising to his face, Spencer sat in the passenger seat of her car and tried not to just stare at her the whole time. He snuck a glance every once in a while as she turned her head to look for oncoming traffic, soft hums coming from her in harmony with the radio.
Not to mention the sun was starting to set, basking her in this soft orange glow and highlighting her already radiant smile, making him want her even more.
True to her word, she stopped at a fast-food drive-thru for ice cream and paid for both their cones (he got chocolate, Y/N a twist). And it was a little embarrassing to admit that he tried to sneak more glances at her, to see the way her tongue swept over the mound of dairy and collected sweetness on her taste buds.
How she didn't catch him, he'd never know, but Spencer was glad for it all the same.
The sweets were gone by the time she parked outside his apartment building. The sun was nearly set, and Spencer felt guilt twisting in his gut.
"Thank you," he said softly. "I... I feel bad making you drive home in the dark..."
Y/N's musical laughter made him warm despite the slight chill the ice cream had provided. "No worries. I like driving in the evening— It's peaceful. Thanks for giving me an excuse to do it."
God, she's perfect...
Spencer resisted the urge to melt into the passenger seat and whimper like a lovesick puppy. Instead, he apologized and thanked her again, stumbled out of the car, and watched her disappear down the street and around the corner as she took his heart right with her.
———
In the back of the cab as it cruised down the winding back roads towards Y/N's house, Spencer couldn't seem to stop his hands from shaking.
You're just going to pick up your car... Be cool... Be cool...
It wasn't like he didn't see her at work, but at least there they were surrounded by others who kept him in check. Now, though? He was going to be at her house, alone with her, with nothing but his quivering, timorous heart that would surely give out without the distraction of serial killers to catch. He was going to be near her, hearing her voice and seeing her smile, and possibly smelling her scent as it had most likely inhabited his vehicle in the time she'd had it in her possession.
Really, at this point, what part of him didn't she have in her possession?
The cab pulled up to her driveway, and Spencer saw the garage door was open. Music was blaring loudly, even more so as he paid the driver and left the muffling containment of the cab.
He approached slowly, hoping he wouldn't show up out of the blue and scare her. They'd set a time to meet, which was now, but he also imagined it was easy to lose track of time when you were throwing yourself into working, especially with something as precise as mechanics.
"Y/N?" he called out over the music.
A loud thump sounded from below the truck sitting in front of him— Not hers, he presumed, since he'd never seen her drive it.
But then a hand protruded from underneath the truck, and it scared Spencer half to death. He jumped back with a gasp, and within the two seconds it took for him to look down, he realized it was Y/N's hand. A relieved sigh escaped him, though not before a shout nearly scared him again.
"Kick over that white remote, would you!?"
Sure enough, just barely out of reach from her fingers was a small white remote. Spencer used his foot to nudge it towards her hand, and in a flash they were both gone.
Seconds later the music was shut completely off, and Y/N slid out from under the truck on her back, headfirst so she was upside down to Spencer's view.
And even upside down, her smile was absolutely charming. "Hey, you. Sorry, I lost track of time."
"Oh, i—it's not a problem," he responded, maybe in a higher pitch than was normal.
Still, she didn't seem fazed by it at all. She slid out the best she could, got up off whatever rolling platform she'd been laying on, and dusted her hands off on her shorts—which did no good considering they were still caked in dirt, or grease, or whatever else was under the truck. In fact, her whole body seemed to be splotched in it, and he found the look way less gross than he probably should have...
Actually, he felt his insides start to warm the longer he took her in.
Spencer couldn't help but stare as she searched the garage for a rag to clean off a bit with. (And he even found himself praying she wouldn't find one.) The sun peeking into the garage shone right off of the sweat bathing her skin as she moved. The gentle breeze blew strands of hair into her face, and when she bent down to search a bin under her workbench...
Guilt burned through his insides, barely soothed by a wave of pitiful pining.
I've got to get out of here fast...
"So. Your car's all done I think," she told him, finally finding a flimsy rag and patting her skin with it. She turned to look at him, flinging the rag over her shoulder, and he nearly crumbled. "I haven't gotten a chance to test-drive it, but since you're here and you're the one who's gonna be driving it from here on out, you can do the honors?"
"I'm sure it's fine," he dismissed, hoping to get the keys and drive off without much interaction afterwards. "How much?"
"How much?"
"Yeah, for the car. I—I don't know how much spark plugs are, a—"
"Spencer, I don't want your money. Really, it was nothing."
"But—"
"Consider it a family-friend discount."
"But—"
"No! I'm not letting you give me money!"
"A—Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure. I love doing this stuff—plus, you not being late to work every day will be payment enough. Then I don't have to deal with Hotch's cranky ass anymore..."
"I hate to be a buzzkill, but I'm pretty sure it would take a lot more than that to get him to ease up..."
Spencer and Y/N shared a laugh, and she mumbled quietly, "Yeah you're probably right..."
"Really, though... Is there anything at all I can do to pay you back?"
She truly looked like she was considering it. Even when she was only thinking, covered in grime and grease and sweat, she looked like the most heavenly being on earth. And though he longed for any excuse to keep looking at her like this, in her element and with a bright, genuine smile on her face, he knew it would be better for his well being in the long run if he got out now. He had an eidetic memory for God's sake, he could always remember her like this whenever he wanted to, right?
Even though he was convinced it would never be near the same, he bit the bullet and accepted her answer when she told him, "You can go home and get a good night's sleep before work tomorrow, that way you're not late."
"Deal."
———
About two months later, and Spencer was right back in that garage, a victim of his heart's constant aching and desire to finally see the real picture again, after so long with nothing but his imagination. Even though it was clear as day in his brain, he'd been right. It wasn't near the real thing— And yet, he couldn't go another day without seeing her in the flesh, before him in all her grimy, beautiful glory.
He wasn't even sure if she'd look like that again after an oil change, but he needed one anyway, and he figured he might as well go to her.
He kept telling himself that was the reason he put up with the near 90 degree heat, though deep down his gut sent signals throughout his body that screamed, 'liar!' and amped up his heartbeat.
When Y/N did finally come into sight, popping her head out from behind a completely different vehicle than he'd ever seen in her garage, he wasn't disappointed in the slightest.
There was a thin smear of what he assumed to be grease on her forehead, reminiscent of baby Simba in The Lion King. The thought would have made him laugh to himself on any other occasion, but then she fully stepped out and greeted him with another earth-shattering smile, revealing her entire body and leaving him nearly incapable of thoughts other than fuck.
The thinnest of thin white tank tops clung to her torso in a way that should have been considered illegal. His eyes painted over every curve and line of her body as discreetly as he could, something he wasn't entirely proud of, but if he denied himself any longer, he was sure he'd burst at the seams.
It was for that same reason, though, that he didn't allow himself to look at her legs for longer than a mere second. Exposed in their small pajama-looking fabric, they expertly carried her to him just a few long, languid steps.
"Hey," she greeted brightly.
"H—Hi."
"So, um... I know I said I'd change the oil in your car, and I will, but I figured... If I teach you how to do it yourself, you wouldn't have to spend so much money to get it done, and you also wouldn't have to keep coming all the way out here... You up for it?"
It was logistically a good idea, and any other time he would have agreed with no hesitation. But how would he ever be able to concentrate on what she's teaching him? How?
Still, even though his heart was screaming to save him the damage and decline her offer, there was no way he could ever deny her anything.
"Sure."
"Great, follow me!"
Unsurprisingly, not even two minutes into her short lesson, naming the parts of the car under the hood he needed to know as basics, he was zoning out. His eyes stayed glued to her hands, marveling at how they effortlessly toured the insides of his car and pointed out every little part. Naturally, he could only wonder what they might feel like touring every inch of his body the same way...
By the time she started actually telling him about how to change the oil, her body was pressed up gently behind him, letting him take the lead as she guided him in the right direction. His heart hammered in his chest, and he was grateful that she wasn't truly close enough to feel or hear it. Still, it was so close that the mere smell of her overwhelmed the oil he was filtering into his car.
"There," she said when it was over, her hands and body retreating from him entirely. As sad as he was that he couldn't physically feel her behind him anymore, he knew it was for the best. "That's all it is."
"Easy enough," Spencer said with a nod. He wiped his hands together a few times, noticing that some grease and oil had transferred onto his skin. "A little messy though..."
"Yeah, I know you're not one for messes... But luckily you shouldn't have to change your oil too often, since you don't drive much anyway. And, if the mess is ever too much for you, you're always welcome to bring'er here again."
"Th—thank you, I appreciate that..."
"What's wrong? You sound... sad?"
"O—Oh, no! I—I'm not sad. I'm fine, really. Thank you... for teaching me how to do this, it was super helpful."
The moment he pressed his lips together in that tight, shy smile of his, Y/N breathed a laugh. "Yeah. No problem... You sure you're okay?"
There was a small lilt in her voice that sounded a little suspicious, but he let it go in favor of trying to convince her he was truly fine.
"Mhm," he said simply.
Silence whirred between them like the loudest airplane, taking the form of a strong, resonant hum that threatened to expose his lie.
Though, it seemed she had caught on already. Actually, by the way she was studying him, it was safe to say she definitely knew something was up— At the very least, the lie that he was okay and at the very most, that he couldn't stand to be in the same room as her any longer for fear of giving away his crush.
Spencer prayed he could leave soon, that she'd just leave it at his, "Mhm," and send him on his way.
But then she said, "You know what... Maybe there is something you can do to pay me back," and any plans of easy escape were shattered in an instant.
"Oh! S—Sure, what do you need?"
"I need you to be honest with me..." That lilt in her voice sounded purely wicked now, but only to Spencer's heart. The tone was actually rather soft and sweet, and to anyone else it might have sounded normal, maybe similar to the way she'd talk to a child who'd done something wrong. But deep down he knows she must have figured it all out.
She was on to him and he wasn't sure whether to be scared or excited. Either way, his heart picked up speed when she stepped towards him and reached out to graze his hand with her own.
"You like me, don't you?"
His throat was dry. "Of course I like you. You're my friend."
"You know what I mean, Spencer..."
Now her fingers were more bold, tracing the veins in his left hand as she tilted her head. Her eyes were glossed over with something lustful that nearly brought him to his knees.
"I... Yes... I like you." He can't bring himself to say more than a whisper.
"Lucky... 'Cause I like you, too."
In another world he would have questioned it. He would have spent all his time wondering why someone like her would like someone like him, and he could be somewhat meticulous in the way he tried to figure it out. But right now she was in front of him, touching his hand and looking at him like she wanted to devour him. She was taking another step forward, until she had to tilt her chin up a little to look him in the eye.
He was utterly ruined by her.
"Y—You do?" was all he could manage.
"Mhmmm," she purred back, fully lacing her fingers in with his. "So I was thinking... maybe you wouldn't mind kissing me... As a thank you..."
"C—Can I?"
"I want you to."
Even though he had the go-ahead, Spencer still couldn't bring himself to go for it. Probably something to do with the fact that it was actually happening and it wasn't a dream or some evil trick from the universe. Even a brain like his wasn't able to process it all that quickly.
Still, he leaned in slowly, unsure in case of trickery, and focused on her hand squeezing his own.
But it was no trick when she did the rest of the work for him, leaning forward and meeting him in the middle. The moment her lips grazed his, soft and steady, it felt like every wall he had came tumbling down. He was lost in her completely, the gentle squeeze of her hand grounding him to reality even when it felt like there could be no reality where she would treat him like this.
But she was very real, her fingers on both hands now lacing firmly through his own, and her body softly pressing into his. He swore he could feel her heartbeat, opposite his to create a rhythm unlike no other.
She started to pull away, but he chased her mouth, unwilling to let the moment pass just yet. The action led her to make a soft groan that sounded like a little laugh, and she came back to him with a passion that left him breathless.
Her head tilted and she pressed forward, deepening the kiss and stretching her fingers out of his grip. Then she slid them up his forearms and over his chest as a means to an end. They ended up cupping his cheeks, which were warm and now smeared with a little oil. It should have grossed him out, but when she was kissing him like that, it didn't matter.
If anything, the remembrance of her sweaty, dirt-caked appearance rounded out the whole experience with a bang. It excited him and made him long for even more of her.
Thankfully she was eager to give him what he longed for. Her tongue gently coaxed his mouth open and he welcomed it without any reservations. In fact, he was so inclined as to meet her level of fervor that he finally took a bold step and placed his hands firmly on her waist as he kissed her back.
Little by little the two of them descended into a frenzy of sloppy kisses and whines and bold hands, and for a while the blazing summer heat was enough to ignore, but at some point it always got to be too much.
Spencer let Y/N pull away this time.
"How good is your air conditioning?" she asked in a gentle huff.
He normally would have been inclined to remind her that they were only a few steps away from her house, surely a more comfortable environment to continue their ventures... But he was so desperate for her that he didn't hesitate to comply.
"Works just fine."
"Good, let's go."
She closed the hood of the car and then fetched the key from her pocket, ushering him to the door.
Luckily the car was old enough that the front seats weren't separated by an armrest or anything, giving Spencer the ability to slide in and make his way to the passenger side with a fair amount of ease.
Y/N slid in right after him and turned on the car, already feeling a gush of air from the vents right away. That's when Spencer leaned over and adjusted the temperature to a full-blast cool.
"Where are we going?" he asked, starting to reach back for his seatbelt.
She stopped him, sliding over to his side and leaning in to kiss his cheek. "Well, we can go somewhere if you want..." Then she kissed his jaw. "Or we can stay..." And then his neck... "And have a little fun..."
"Please," he shuddered, leaning his head back while her lips continued to attack his neck with slow kisses.
"What do you want, hmm?"
It was hard to answer when she was rendering him practically useless, but he tried his hardest anyway, giving her the honest truth.
"All I want is you."
The confession seemed to send her into overdrive. She let out this sound of pure desperation before she climbed into his lap and found his mouth again, and their pace from before continued in no time. Roaming hands and long, deep kisses took up their space, until even the air conditioning couldn't save them from the heat they were radiating.
Y/N's tank top was the first to go, and Spencer nearly had a heart attack when she leaned back to undo the bra.
"You're not gonna single me out, are you?" she prompted with a smile, using her other hand to tug at his shirt.
"Right, sorry," he returned, using shaky hands to peel the shirt from his body and toss it to the other side of the seat with hers. Her bra followed shortly after and the sight in front of him was almost too much to bear.
Thankfully she was kind enough to take it easy on him, making the move to kiss him again and gently guide his hands to touch her. His hands palmed her breasts with great commitment, and once she was sure he had the hang of things, she let go and favored his waistline. Her fingers dipped slightly below his jeans and remained there as she kissed him. And just to add to the urgency of it all, she circled her hips into his, eliciting the most pretty, aching sound from him.
"Can I fuck you..." she asked breathlessly, grinding on him again and dipping her fingers lower. "Please... Right here in this damned car... Please, I want it so bad..."
"Fuck, Y/N, do it..."
And with those words, she took the plunge and tugged down on his pants. Thankfully he wasn't wearing a belt, so unbuttoning and unzipping was easier, but even still the small space of the car was a pain to work around.
In the end though, it was worth it.
Once the confines of clothes were no longer an issue for either of them, their only worry was figuring out how to have sex in a small car.
It wasn't much of a big deal at first, though. Y/N helped Spencer get situated and lined up, and then she sank down on him with ease. Her legs burned, but so did the entire surface of her skin. Whether it be from the summer heat or Spencer's touch—wherever that may have been as his hands kept fiddling for a place to stay—it was there to stay. It urged her forward, and she started riding him with a steady pace that had them both sighing out.
"Oh my god," he blurted out, reaching forward to kiss her— anything to keep from saying something embarrassing. This was finally happening, and he'd be damned if he scared her off.
His mind was already racing at the possibility of doing it again. Maybe in a hotel bed while they were on a case, or sneaking off at the annual BAU Christmas party on a desk somewhere... All he knew for sure was that he wanted to feel her like this for the rest of his life.
She clenched herself around him as she went up, then released as she came down. Each time she did, he could feel her breasts graze the bare skin of his chest, and her hands were gripping the top of the seat behind him. He opted to keep his own on her waist, trying to help her move so it would be an easier feat on her part. Whether or not it helped he didn't know, but it was nice to have a solid place to keep his grip while she fucked him into a state of near-oblivion.
It became harder and harder for him to think properly, the only words getting to his brain being the little whispers of pleasure and praise from Y/N. She kissed him in between, small little pecks that weren't half-hearted, but rather indicative of her urgency, and inability to form coherent thought. It was comforting to know he had the same effect on her that she had on him, and it might have been the very thing that sent him over the edge.
He wanted to hold on. Truly, he did. But she just felt so good, and his name falling from her lips was the most divine thing he'd ever heard.
"I—I'm..."
"It's okay," she reassured, kissing him and cupping his face in her hands. "You can come inside me..."
And then she sat down on him completely and squeezed, and in that instant he was a goner.
The one thing he couldn't will himself to do was close his eyes, even if the sensation was overwhelming. Because if he was going to come undone at the mercy of this woman that he's been in love with for years, then he was going to look into her eyes while it happened, and he was going to remember that image forever.
She came right after he did, her hips shifting to get that little extra boost of stimulation before she stuttered his name and pressed her forehead to his. Her fingers tangled in his hair with the utmost tenderness, and when she kissed him one final time, Spencer swore he saw Heaven.
With her weight slumping forward on him, the two of them could finally catch their breath. He rubbed her back with his hand. The heartbeat in his ears dulled until all he could hear was the soft whirring of the air vents and the steady rhythm of their breathing mixing together.
"Now I feel like I really need to pay you back," he said with a laugh, breaking the silence.
Y/N smiled and hugged him a little closer. "Nah, you don't. That was the perfect payment... But if you insist on it, maybe... we can figure it out over coffee some time?"
Spencer's heart fluttered at the mere cadence of her voice, let alone the words themselves. "Really?"
She leaned her face up and planted a gentle kiss to his cheek. "Really. I meant it, you know... I really like you..."
Usually he was the type of person to have the words to say. It was rare that he ever wasn't sure how to talk to someone, even her, with a quick brain and conversational skills that have improved over the years.
But now he was speechless. Not because he didn't know how he felt, but because he had so much love and adoration for this one person, and now that she seemed to share that sentiment to some degree, there was only one thing he could do to accurately express his affections.
He captured her lips in a sweet, tell-all kiss that felt more like the very first one they shared.
Their hands found the way to each other with ease, and from that moment forward Spencer made a decision.
He was never going to get rid of that car.

The click clack of her heels against the tiled floor of the hospital almost seemed too loud. She felt as though her presence was too much, but she had promised Kristy she’d be there. It almost felt unreal. Here she was, celebrating the birth of yet another Simmons baby when not a single Reid had been conceived. It might have been selfish of her to have such thoughts, but she couldn’t help it. Not when the one thing she and her husband had been praying for day and night came so easily to everyone but them.
It’s been two years since their wedding and for two years she’d felt nothing but the impending feeling of failure hanging around her shoulders. All she wanted was to give Spencer what he deserved, she knew how much he wanted kids. He didn’t even have to say it, it was evident in the way he treated Henry, Michael, and all the other children of the BAU.
She’d left her job as soon as Spencer texted her and said she’d meet them at the hospital. She took a deep breath before locating the familiar faces of the BAU in the waiting room.
“Hey!” JJ smiled, racing to hug her first.
“Hi, any news?” Y/N asked, pulling away from the hug and looking for her husband among the faces, smiling in recognition. She spotted him in a chair, adorning a hoodie that was much too large for him with “Washington DC” printed in bold letters across the front.
“No, not yet.” Spencer reached his hand out to her and she stepped towards him, smiling as he stood to embrace her. She pulled back once again and looked at his hoodie in amusement.
“Do I want to know what happened?” She giggled, gesturing towards his outfit. He laughed bashfully.
“I, um, had an...incident with the sprinklers at the park.” She watched as his cheeks turned an adorable shade of pink. She laughed and nodded.
“Alright then.” She took a seat beside him and forced the lump in her throat to break itself apart. But Spencer knew how she felt, of course he knew. Which is why he offered both his hand and shoulder to her as they waited. She gladly accepted both, wishing the heaviness in her chest would dissipate.
About a half hour later, Matt emerged from one of the rooms, announcing the birth of his baby girl. Everyone swarmed around him to give him celebratory hugs, Y/N felt as though someone had to unglue her from her seat. She smiled as wide as her face would allow and hugged him.
“Congratulations!” She exclaimed, trying her hardest not to make it sound forced.
“Thank you, thank you all.” He said, inviting them all into the room, where the wailing  of a newborn baby could be heard. To many it could sound annoying, but Y/N was almost desperate to hear it. Before entering, Spencer grabbed her hand gently and stopped them in their tracks, reaching out to cradle both her hands in his.
“You okay? We can leave now if you want, just say you had an emergency at work or something.” He said quietly to her, knowing how it would make her feel if she were to see this baby right now. He never wanted to push her too far. He could see the uncertainty swimming around in her irises, but his wife was never one to back down from anything she’d promised someone else.
“I’ll be fine, Spence. I promised Kristy.” She whispered and he nodded, although he felt something was off in the pit of his stomach. He brushed it off as she pulled him into the room after her. Her eyes landed on Kristy cradling her baby girl and her heart melted at the sight.
“Oh, she’s beautiful, Kristy.” Y/N cooed, momentarily forgetting about the heaviness in her chest as the baby’s tiny eyes curiously wandered over to her.
“Thank you, Y/N. Would you like to hold her first?” Kristy smiled tiredly and everyone’s gaze fell onto Y/N, an unreadable tension silently floating in the room.
“I-I’d be honored.” She let go of Spencer who watched as his wife carefully scooped up the baby into her arms. His heart swallowed his chest from its swelling. He could barely control the softness in his gaze before Matt came up next to him and grabbed his shoulder, making him smile. The way she carried the baby with so much compassion was a sure sign for Spencer, this woman was meant to be a mother. The mother of his children.
Y/N grinned with slight tears in her eyes as she stared at the baby in her arms, “Hi, baby girl. You’re so beautiful.” She cooed softly as she swayed them slowly from side to side. The baby quieted down in her arms and it was a wonderful sight to see. Spencer’s heart was surely beating its last beats.
“Oh, she loves you already.” Emily said from the far side of the room. The comfortable weight of the baby in her arms had suddenly turned into 7.8 pounds of complete and utter dread. She had allowed herself to think that it was her own child for a split second.
What a huge mistake.
A tear escaped Y/N’s eye as she realized she’d have to part with this beautiful gift of life. She forced a smile and handed her back to her mother carefully. No one noticed the shift in Y/N’s mood, too enthralled by the baby, except Spencer, of course. She quickly wiped away the stay tear as she took her place next to Spencer, who had tried to take her hand in his, but she pulled away just in time. He breathed a heavy sigh as she silently fell apart right next to him.
After a few moments of failing to keep herself from falling apart in front of the team, she tugged on his sleeve harshly and he knew he’d have to excuse them. So he did, they said their farewells and were on their way to her car. She handed him the keys silently and avoided his gaze until they were in the car together.
“Sweetheart…” Spencer started, reaching out to caress any part of her, only wanting to provide a semblance of comfort.
“Please--please, don’t, Spencer.” She whimpered softly as she shrunk away from him and into the passenger seat, the tears falling freely now. Spencer frowned deeply and began driving them home in silence.
She wondered if she’d ever have the opportunity to be in Kristy’s shoes. All she wanted, as of right now, was to be a mother. The universe had been so, so unkind to them both throughout their lives. God knows Spencer’s been through hell and back more times than they can count. Despite all that though, Spencer was truly the best support system she could ask for. He never pushed her too far, he always understood her, never made her feel bad for not being able to get pregnant. But that didn’t take away from the way she felt. The way she felt like she was failing Spencer. The one thing her body was made for, and she couldn’t do it.
Spencer walked them both up to their apartment and put on the kettle to make some tea as she disappeared into their bedroom, probably to take a shower. For months and months, they’d been trying, and nothing seemed to work. It was taking a toll on Y/N and he couldn’t help but feel useless.
It went on this way for about a month, although Spencer and Y/N were getting much better about talking about it, as well as beginning to explore other options. Spencer kept convincing Y/N to get out of the house more, he insisted that perhaps time apart and engagement of individual activities would strengthen their relationship. So Penelope suggested a girls night in at least once a week. They would order junk food, watch sappy movies, and sometimes cry about their lives.
One night, all the women and spouses of the BAU were at Penelope’s, watching a movie and munching on crunchy snacks. Y/N suddenly sat up straight and gasped, pausing the movie quickly from the remote.
“What is it?” Tara asked, looking over at Y/N on the couch.
“What day is it?” She asked, slightly panicked.
“It’s...Saturday?” Emily replied.
“No, no! What day of the month?” She exclaimed, searching for her phone in between the couch seats.
“It’s the 12th, why? Is it someone’s birthday?” Penelope asked, confusion settling in.
“The 12th?!” Y/N exclaimed in shock.
“Y/N, what’s on the 12th?” JJ asked impatiently.
“I’m late! I’m 2 weeks late. Let me check first.” Y/N pulled up her phone and checked her period tracking app. The women all glanced at each other excitedly, “I’m late…”
“OKAY! Stay here, do not move. JJ and I will go get you a bunch of tests! Don’t move!” Penelope exclaimed, rushing up to put on a coat over her pajamas and slip on some shoes.
Y/N stood and began to wring her hands nervously.
“What’s wrong, isn’t this great news?” Kristy asked, her face showing concern.
“Yes! Yes, of course. Just...what if it’s n-not real, what if it’s negative? I-I don’t think I can handle that again.” Y/N said as her eyes filled with tears. Her heart seemed to have stilled in her chest and her throat began closing up in response to her anxiety.
“Even if that happens, we’re right here. We’ll be supporting you through it all.” Tara said, standing and hugging her tightly. The second she was in her arms, she began sobbing. The slightest comfort brought waves of fear and anxiety. Emily and Kristy frowned and felt their chests pull at the sight of her being so upset. Tara smoothed down her hair lovingly and convinced her to have a seat until Pen and JJ returned.
A few moments later, they came bursting through the door, “Alright, did you drink enough liquids, do you have to pee?” JJ asked, unpacking and handing her the tests.
“Umm, I don’t know but I’ve been peeing a lot anyway.” Y/N replied and JJ nodded.
“Okay, that’s a good sign.” Kristy nodded encouragingly.
Y/N moved to the bathroom and took the tests. She opened the door slightly and looked towards Penelope, “Can you come in? I-I’m too scared to look at it alone.”
“Of course.” She stepped in and Y/N left the door open for anyone else to come in. Soon they all gathered in or outside of the bathroom. Y/N sat on the closed toilet and wrung her hands nervously, a habit she’d picked up from Spencer. Penelope waited the appropriate amount of time and looked at the tests that were face down on the counter. She looked towards Y/N for approval and she nodded, holding her breath. She wasn’t a profiler but she was trying to read every single microexpression that crossed Penelope’s features. The room was heavy with anticipation as they all watched Penelope look at the tests.
Soon enough, her face broke out into a large grin, “Guess we’re getting a baby genius!” She exclaimed and everyone cheered loudly in response.
Y/N was frozen in shock on the toilet as everyone rushed to embrace her, “W-what?” She uttered in disbelief, tears clouding her vision quickly.
“They’re all positive! A baby Reid is in the oven!” Emily cheered, showing her the tests. She put a hand to her mouth to slow down the sobs escaping her. She hugged them all tightly and she knew, she just knew that this happened thanks to the sheer powerful energy of all the women by her side. The thought gave her goosebumps.
“Oh my God! I have to tell Spencer!” Y/N shouted in the midst of all her tears, just imagining the pure joy that would be on her husband’s face as he learned the news.
“If you leave now, you’ll make it before he gets home from Derek’s.” JJ said, checking her watch. Y/N nodded and raced out with the tests, putting on her shoes quickly.
“I love you all so much! Bye!” She yelled into the room before darting out the door.
She stopped by the grocery store to pick up some buns, an empty box, and a pair of the cutest baby sneakers she could find. As soon as she got home, she filled the box with the sneakers and the positive tests. She also placed a single bun in the oven and waited for Spencer to come home.
“Y/N, you here already? I saw the car parked downstairs--is everything oka--” he cut himself off as he found her in the kitchen holding something behind her back. His eyebrows raised suspiciously as he eyed her, “What’s going on? What are you up to?” He couldn’t resist smiling at her smile, the previous anxieties melting away.
“Check the oven, baby.” She said, leaning against the counter across from it. His brows furrowed even more as he peeked inside.
“I don’t get it. The oven’s not hot and this is likely a store-bought bun.” Spencer Reid, despite being a certified genius, he could be extremely oblivious at times.
“Yes, and where is it placed?” Y/N hinted.
“In the oven?” Spencer reached in and grabbed the bun. He turned around to face her, the bun in his hands.
“Yes, exactly! It’s a bun in the oven.” She laughed, giving up. She watched as his face lit up in realization.
“Wait...what?” Spencer said softly in disbelief, placing the bun down on the counter and taking a few steps towards her.
She grinned and pulled out the box from behind her and opened it up in front of him. He took it from her and inspected the test and the shoes with a dropped jaw, “W-we...you’re--” He laughed a wet laugh and placed his hands on her belly, “We’re gonna have a baby?” His voice cracked, tears clouding his eyes quickly.
“We’re gonna have a baby.” She confirmed and he pulled her into possibly the tightest hug she’d ever received from him. His shoulders began shaking in her arms and soon they were sobbing messes in front of each other. She rested her head on his chest and he kissed it over and over again until they both calmed down.
“I’m gonna be a father.” He finally said, smiling down at her with a dopey, lovesick smile.
She nodded, returning the smile, “The best father. Now come on, let’s have a seat and start planning.” She giggled, pulling him out of the kitchen and to the couch.
“You know, it’s thought that the saying bun in the oven originated in 1951.” He began explaining and she suddenly burst into a fit of fond giggles, hoping their child would get his intelligence and definitely his good looks.
At exactly 10 weeks, Spencer insisted that she get her first ultrasound. She didn’t mind, she just wanted him to be there, and with his hectic schedule, it was hard to find a perfect time to go. But alas, they figured it out and Spencer was practically bouncing on his feet in excitement in the waiting room. Y/N placed a calming hand on his knee and smiled reassuringly. They took turns calming each other down. Even though Spencer had read every book about parenting and children within reach, he still felt so unprepared as a first time parent.
“Mr. and Mrs. Reid? The doctor is ready for you now.” A nurse with a clipboard announced, making Spencer shoot up out of his seat and helped his wife out of hers.
Soon, they made it into the office and before she knew it the doctor had already spread the icy cold gel on Y/N’s growing belly. A steady, repetitive noise could be heard throughout the room, bouncing off the walls. It sounded like an underwater heartbeat with a tad of something sloshing around.
“Oh, do we hear that? That’s the sound of the baby’s heart-Oh! What do we have here?” The doctor announced as she maneuvered her way on top of her belly.
“What is it?” Spencer anxiously asked, peering over at the screen.
“It seems as though there are two amniotic sacs as well as two healthy heartbeats! Congratulations, you’re having twins!” The doctor exclaimed happily. The couple stared at each other in an absolute stunned daze.
“Twins?” Y/N had to make sure she was hearing it correctly.
“Yes, a pair of healthy twins.” The doctor confirmed.
“That’s...th-that’s only a 4% chance. This is amazing!” Spencer uttered, hugging her tightly.
Over the course of the next six months, Spencer and Y/N have been living on the absolute tips of their toes. Y/N was extremely clingy at times and Spencer was terrified of leaving her, should he be called in for a case. As the twins’ due date nears, Spencer turns into a shell of himself and instead a home for festering anxiety and fear. He’s terrified something might go wrong. Whereas Y/N could not wait for the babies to be out of her! The day couldn’t come sooner.
Thankfully, serial killers all over the country had decided to take a break for Christmas time. Spencer, Y/N, and her belly were invited to every gathering leading up to Christmas eve. She wished she wouldn’t have to waddle along for much longer.
As the two sat in peaceful silence, listening to instrumental versions of their favorite Christmas music and munching on gingerbread men, something felt off.
“Uhhh, Spence?”
“What is it, sweetheart?” Spencer asked, sitting up, failing to notice the large pool of liquid now under his wife soaking the couch.
“My water just broke.” She announced, feeling her breath quicken.
“Oh-OH!” Spencer shot up from the couch and quickly grabbed the hospital go bag that’s been living by the door for the past few weeks. He put on a pair of shoes for her and carefully helped her off the couch.
“Spencer, it’s Christmas eve, we’ll never find a place in the hospital!” Y/N panicked slightly as she waddled to the door, trying to control her breathing.
“Shh, baby don’t worry about that right now. I just need you to do the breathing exercises we practiced so much, okay?” He said calmly, doing her breathing exercises, prompting her to imitate him. He surprised her by being so calm and composed all the way to the hospital then she remembered he’d once told her that he finds he does his best work under intense pressure.
20 grueling hours later, two beautiful baby girl Reids were born into this world on Christmas day. It truly was a Christmas miracle. The team filed in on Christmas day to find one exhausted Spencer standing and an even more exhausted Y/N on the bed, each cradling a baby girl of their own.
“Oh my, oh, they’re so beautiful.” Penelope gushed, her and JJ leaning over Y/N’s bed to peer at one of the girls. Luke, Tara, and Emily walked towards Spencer, who could not stop grinning.
Seriously, his face should have been split in half at this point from how much he’d been smiling. There was no one else in this world he’d rather have a child with, and he was blessed with not one, but two enchanting Christmas miracles who will surely steal his heart and never return it, and he’ll be more than okay with that.

Jealousy is gunfire
Pairing: Spencer Reid x fem!bau!reader
Summary: Spencer and reader are in a secret relationship. The team tries to get them to get over eachother. Spencer fucks up. Reader does too. They make up in the end. If there are anny grammar mistakes, feel free to let me know!
Category: Angst with a happy ending.
Warnings: Cursing.
Words: 2,821
-
You and Spencer had been dating for about 4 months now. No one in the them knew about it. They teased you relentlessly about your ‘crushes’ on each other, not knowing that one night, after a case, you invited Spencer over for a Dr. Who marathon, where he confessed to liking you more than a friend, and you kissed the living hell out of him. However, just like everything else in your lives, things were bound to get complicated.
-
“You think we should tell them?” Looking down on the rest of the team, while you and Spencer took off to the break room to refill your coffees, the question popped into your head. “I mean…..I don’t know. We’re colleagues after all, so….so maybe we-we shouldn’t.” Spencer pointed out. I know it’s the right thing to do but I don’t really want to keep it a secret from anyone. But it seems as though he does, so I’m not gonna push it. “Yeah, you’re right, I was thinking the same thing.”
I didn’t want to keep my relationship with Y/N a secret. I want to tell everyone. I want to shout if from the rooftops. That I finally got the girl of my dreams. I was hoping she would say no to my proposal. I was hoping she was gonna say that she wants everyone to know. Everyone was ‘shipping’ us anyway, so I didn’t see why we should keep it a secret. But she clearly wanted it kept a secret, so I wasn’t going to push it. “Alright then, I think we should go back to them.” “Yeah, let’s go.”
-
All that mess let us to this night. We had a night off, and planned on going out together, since we haven’t been out as a team for a long time. As much as both you and Spencer wanted to spend the night on your couch, watching a cheesy rom-com and eating junk food, it would look too suspicious, seeing as everybody else had agreed, so you both agreed to come with as well. First mistake.
“Alright so ill meet you all in front of ‘Jack Rose’ 8pm sharp?” “Yes, sir!” the team all said in unison. “Mind if I run late, beefcake?” “Depends on the reason, Pretty Lady. ” “I have to pick up a dress from my sisters house.” That was sort of a lie. The dress in question is a dress I actually left at Spencer’s place after our fourth date. It was a beautiful dark purple, backless dress Spencer loved on, and also off of, me, so I knew that was the one I had to wear. “Hmmm, I don’t know if I believe you, Boss Lady.” You really loved Morgan, but him snooping in your business was much more than you could handle tonight. “How do I know you’re not just gonna ditch us?” I sighed. “Pinky promise?” I ask, holding out my pinkie finger towards Morgan. “Alright then.” He said, after hooking his own pinky finger with mine. ”I’ll see you a bit later than 8pm, Pretty Lady.” “You got it, beefcake.”
As far as I know, Y/N hadn’t left a dress at her sisters. Maybe she was lying trying to get us out of all this. But then the pinky finger is not a promise Y/N’s known to break. Alright then.
Y/N felt a buzz coming from her phone as the team was saying their goodbyes.

What are you up to?
As soon as the team split up, he got a text notification on his phone.
~From: My Pretty Lady ♡
I’m planning to wear The Dress ™.
A smile overtook Spencer’s face.
~To: My Pretty Lady ♡
So, may I drive you home, m’lady?
~From: My Pretty Lady ♡
Yes, sir. You may.

That’s what got us here. In this goddamn sweaty club where Morgan is trying to make me talk to some blonde he found sitting alone at the bar. “I’m telling you, Pretty Boy, you have to get over Y/N. If you’re not going to do anything about that little crush of yours, then you need to get busy.” He really loved Morgan, but him snooping in his business was much more than he could handle tonight. He noticed you dancing on the floor with Garcia and Emily and figured, to get Morgan off his case, he’s just going to go up to her, explain the situation, and if she could, politely, slap him and walk towards the lady’s room. “Fine, ill go talk to her.” As he went stood up to go bother this poor girl what he failed to notice is Y/N’s eyes scanning the bar trying to find him, to try and convince him to dance with her.
“I’m telling you, Y/N, you have to get over Spencer. The only way to do so, is to get jiggy with that model that has been staring you down the entire time you’ve been dancing.” Emily could really be a push-over sometimes. “I’m not going to do that, Em. I don’t mind just dancing with you two.” “Oh, come on, Y/N, give yourself a bit of a break here. You have been thirsting over Wonder Boy long enough, I think its time.” Garcia can be a bit of a push-over too, at times. “You’re right. It’s been long enough, I’m going to go ask Spencer to dance with me!” You said, yelling over the loud music, ignoring the cheers coming from Garcia and Emily. As you scanned the room to find him, you noticed he’s not at the table with Morgan anymore. “I’m going to go get a bit of liquid courage, and then I’m gonna go find out where he is!” You yelled, separating from the ladies, heading for the bar. As the crowd cleared, you came to a halt. There he was. Flirting with a girl. At the bar. Her hand lightly touching his arm, whilst he threw his head backwards, laughing at something the blonde had said. First, he wanted to keep the two of you a secret, saying it’s for ‘the better for the team’, and now there he was, flirting with a random girl in a bar they were both in. She was so pretty and her hair was so flowy and she looked nothing like you. You saw red. ‘Both can play that game, Spencer’ you thought, heading back towards Emily and Garcia. “What happened, Y/N?” “You were right, Em. Spencer is just a waste of my time. Where’s that model you were talking about earlier?”
As the girl from the bar slapped him across the face, storming off to the bathroom, he thanked her as she walked past him. Going back to the table, he saw Morgan’s disappointed face staring at him. “What the hell happened?” “I don’t know. It was going well and then I guess I said something wrong, because she accused me of trying to take advantage of her, and well… you saw the rest.” “That’s a real shame, Pretty Boy. What are you gonna do know?” Spencer thought about it. What was he gonna do? He didn’t want any of this happening again, so he decided to go and find you on the dance floor and tell you he doesn’t want to keep your relationship as a secret anymore. “I’m going to go dance with Y/N!” “Oh, wow, way to go man.” He looked toward Morgan to thank him for the wishes, but saw his smile flatter. “What wrong?” “I think you may have missed your chance. Look.” He said, pointing towards the dance floor. First, he saw you, in that beautiful dress of yours. Then he saw the smile on your face. And then he saw your arms around some guy, and his arms dangerously close to the lower part of your back. He was a bit shorted than him, muscular and had light blond hair that fell just over his ears. He saw red. He knew it was sort of his idea to keep you a secret but he didn’t expect you to go out and dance with random men you found at a bar you were both in. He stood up angrily, and headed towards the dance floor.
Seeing his face twist with anger was not a sight you ever wanted to see. But you stood your ground. “Spencer, hey.” You tried to sound cheerful as if you just saw a childhood friend, not your pissed off boyfriend. You took your arms off the guy and before you could do anything with them, Spencer took your forearm, squeezing lightly. “Can we talk, Y/N?” spitting the words through his teeth. “What about?” you tried to sound innocent but the venom from your lip wrapped around the words getting out of them, and the fire in your eyes wasn’t easily dismissed. “Y/N, please.” You know it was supposed to be all insecure and sweet tricking you into feeling bad, but you weren’t backing down. Sure, let’s get out of here.” You took the hand wrapped around your forearm, tearing it away, and pulling him towards the exit. As you entered the valley behind the bar, Spencer decided to finally talk.
“What the hell was that?” he spat. “What was what?” ”Don’t play dumb with me, Y/N.” he warned. She dared chuckle. “Oh, you mean that blond guy who I was dancing with?” she gestured towards the bar. “Oh, he was so nice.” She said, dismissing with her hand. “What the hell is this about?” “I should be asking the same thing, Spencer.” He never heard his name come out of your mouth like that. He was scared.
“What were you doing with that blonde hottie at the bar, huh, Spencer?!” you yelled. “What made you laugh so hard you forgot your girlfriend was in the room, huh!?” you yelled some more. “Y/N, that…. I wasn’t…” “Oh now cats got your tongue, huh, Spencer?” “No, I… I wasn’t flirting with her.” “What Is it you were doing then?!” you yelled again. “Morgan said I should go get her number to get over you, and I went over and told her about us and asked her to slap me?!” he screamed back. “What the fuck was so funny then?!” she screamed yet again. “She said you looked like a runway model, and I agreed!” “Oh, come on!” “Its true! You can ask Morgan if you like!”
He was tired of screaming. His voice cracked with the next words. “I would never flirt with someone else. Why would I ever want to? I have you. You’re more than enough for me. You are way out of my league and I’m lucky you even looked my way.” He saw the way your eyes fell after he said that. A silence took over the both of you. She lowered her arms. “I was dancing with that guy because Emily and Garcia told me to.” Spencer looked up at that. “I was actually about to find you and ask you to dance with me instead.” Fuck. “But then I saw you with that girl. And I got mad. Like, really mad.” Shit. “I’m sorry Y/N. I didn’t….I don’t….” He sure felt like shit right now. He dropped his head and looked at his shoes. He then felt a pair of fingers on his chin.
You lifted his chin so he could look at you. “Its okay, Spence, you didn’t know.” His mouth seemed to perk up at the nickname. “I’m sorry for dancing with that guy. Its just…” you stopped for a second, contemplating whether you should confess this. Fuck it. “I know about your ‘preference to blonds’. And when I saw that girl and you, I just. I got insecure and jealous and I just….” You’re pretty sure he saw the tear that fell down your cheek, but you couldn’t care. “I’m sorry, I know green is a horrible color on me.” He wiped the tear off your cheek. “You look stunning in green. In any color, if I’m being honest. But there is no need to be jealous.” You looked up at him. Staring him right in the eyes. Those beautiful, soft eyes you often found yourself getting lost in. “I’m in love with you, Y/N. You hear me? I’m in love with you. And only you.”
“I’m in love with you too.” you confessed, after some silence. “I’m sorry.” “No, I’m sorry.” “I guess we're both sorry then.” You tried your hand at humor, but Spencer didn’t laugh. “No, Y/N, I’m sorry. It’s my fault.” “Were both at fault here, Spence, its ok….” “No, I’m at fault. I’m the one who brought up keeping us a secret and I shouldn’t have.” “Oh…” “I don’t want to keep you a secret. I just….” You brought your hand up to his face, rubbing your thumb along his cheekbone. He leans into your palm. “I was just afraid you would be ashamed of being with me.” “Spencer.” A tear fell. “Spencer no! No. I’m not ashamed of you. I never was. Why would I be, Jesus Christ, have you seen yourself? Have you heard yourself?” Spencer then opened his eyes to look into yours. “You’re brilliant. You’re perfect for me. To me. And if I’m being honest?” Spencer nodded his head confirming he was ready to hear whatever is about to come out of your mouth. “You’re a fucking smoke show!”
I didn’t expect that. She caught me off guard. I let out a laugh. God, I love her. With every atom of my being. “Really?” He knows he shouldn’t have asked that. He felt the smack over his head before she even raised her hand. He squeezed his eyes inn anticipation. But instead, he felt both her hands on this jawline. Opening his eyes he saw the most truthful look he ever saw on a person. “Really, Spencer-nova. You’re the hottest piece of ass I ever fucking saw.” I would laugh if I wasn’t so lost in her eyes. I pulled he to me, laying my lips against her soft ones. With every kiss a new set of butterflies erupts from his stomach. Pulling away, he states. “Did you know that some butterfly species migrate from the cold? Although in many cases cold weather will end the already short life of a butterfly by rendering them immobile, others take the dropping temperature as a signal to move. Butterflies are cold-blooded and require, in ideal settings, a body temperature of approximately 85 degrees to activate their flight muscles. If the weather begins changing some species simply migrate in search of sunshine. Some, like the North American Monarch, travel an average of 2,500 miles.” She looked at me with the most love anyone has ever looked at him. “I did not know that. But I’m so fucking happy to know now.”
-
“I’m sorry I didn’t oppose to the idea.” ”I’m sorry I ever said anything about keeping us a secret.” They were currently sitting on Y/N’s couch, after driving to her house from the bar, stripping their club clothes and putting on their favorite pj’s, watching Love, Actually. Okay Love, Actually played in the background as they kissed. A lot. And talked. Occasionally.
Suddenly your eyes widened. “Oh shit!” “What is it?” you could hear the panic in Spencer’s voice. “We didn’t tell them anything.” Spencer chuckled. “Oh, shit, indeed.” You both sprinted to their respective coats, pulling out their phones. You had 12 missed called from Garcia and 5 texts from Emily.

You head a chuckle behind you. Turning your hear you saw Spencer talking on the phone. By the wolf whistles coming from Spences phone, you guessed he was talking to Morgan. “Say hi to beefcake for me!” you yelled, seeing Spences cheeks turn a slight shade of pink. “I didn’t know she was with you, dude, oh my god why didn’t you say so? Okay, okay goodbye now, enjoy your night, Pretty Boy.” Morgan all but screamed into his phone. As Spencer hung up the phone, he looked over at you. “Situation defused?” he asked. “Situation defused.” You confirmed.

Luke and (Y/N) knew each other since they were kids. They had been neighbors since childhood, so it wasn’t uncommon for them to be playing with each other in their adjoining backyards most days. But time went by and slowly they got older. On his 8th birthday, Luke had gotten a guitar and quickly realised his dream of becoming a rock star. After meeting Alex Mercer and Reggie Peters in middle school, the dream slowly became reality. Sunset Curve was born. (Y/N), on the other hand, took on violin instead.
As time passed, they slowly began to grow apart. One would describe Luke’s style of music and dress as more rock n’ roll grunge. (Y/N), however, looked the total opposite, elegant, poised, which could also be heard through her playing throughout the neighborhood. (Y/N) listened to classical music and took ballet lessons while Luke continued his guitar lessons and went to ice hockey practice. It seemed like after all this time, the two had nothing in common anymore.
Now they were in high school and they barely knew the other existed anymore. The only times Luke saw (Y/N), even though they were still neighbours, was when they ran into each other in the hall or if they just so happened to leave for school at the same time, which these days was very rare. (Y/N) was quite the early riser, and was often already off on her way while Luke was still lying in bed half asleep. Though they had two classes together, they hardly spoke to each other. It was as if their friendship before this had meant nothing.
Sometimes Luke missed the old days. Back then, (Y/N) didn’t seem too different from him. He could still remember them sitting in his treehouse, sharing gummy bears and listening to an old Led Zeppelin album. Now all she ever seemed interested in was studying. But even despite their different paths, they talked to each other from time to time. Their parents, on the other hand, were still very close. Occasionally they met at one of their homes, cooked together, talked about their jobs and even more so about their kids. Luke had learned from his parents that (Y/N) planned to go to Harvard once they graduated. Of course, when they told him that, he couldn’t stop himself from rolling his eyes. He knew his parents wished he had the same or at least similar plans for his life. But Sunset Curve was finally starting to take off. After they played their first gig at a small bar in L. A., more and more bars and clubs were willing to let them perform. Luke had loved rehearsals before, now they were even more fun, especially knowing that they’d get to perform their new songs in front of more people than just Bobby’s parents. Bobby became a part of the band when he moved to L. A. four years after they had formed. With Bobby’s arrival the band not only found a rhythm guitarist, but also a place to rehearse. Before that, they had to rehearse in Reggie’s basement, between boxes and useless junk. Then of course his parents constantly fighting upstairs didn’t make for the best working environment.
Whenever Luke fought with his parents and just needed space to clear his head, there was no better place for him than a small shed in Bobby’s backyard which they had affectionately dubbed their studio. The words from his parents still rang in his ears as he pulled out his bike, guitar case slung over his back.
“Why can’t you be more like (Y/N)?! She has good grades and a bright future at Harvard!” His mother had wailed.
“Being a rockstar is not a realistic goal, it won’t bring you any money or stability.” His father tried to convince him.
Every time it was always the same. Luke jumped onto his bike and made his way through the backyard towards the gate, when he stopped in his tracks. In the corner of his eyes he could make out a dark figure, running through the yard next to his. At the end of the driveway, he could make out the lights of a car, shining through the trees and the figure running towards it. When the figure finally came into the light, Luke could finally see who it was. She turned around, taking one last look at the house behind her before she opened the car door and got in before promptly speeding off into the darkness. Who did (Y/N) just leave with?
--
Luke was tired the next morning. Despite spending the night in the studio, far away from the trouble with his parents, the young guitarist hadn’t slept a wink. His mind was racing with thoughts of (Y/N) and the mysterious person she had left with. During their lunch break at school, he told his band members of the encounter. “Wait, you mean to tell us that (Y/N), the definition of the perfect daughter, snuck out?” Bobby asked in disbelief.
Luke nodded. “Yep, got into a car with someone. Can’t say for certain who it was.” The eyes of the four guys wandered to said girl, who was sitting with her friends at a table not far away from their own.
“I’ll dip into the school gossip and see what I can find out. I’ll deliver the goods.” Alex smirked. And deliver he did at their band practice later that day. “So you know Tori, the girl who sits next to me in chem class and never shuts up? She told me that she heard from one of her friends, who was told by one of his friends that (Y/N) was spotted with Brandon Jones in the back of the library.”
“Brandon Jones?” Luke asked with a raised eyebrow.
Alex nodded “Yeah, the captain of the football team who always drives a really expensive car.”
“How do they even know each other? Isn’t he usually on the brink of suspension?” Reggie asked curiously to which Alex shrugged.
“Well, well, well, seems like your little (Y/N) likes bad boys, Luke.” Bobby laughed, while throwing an arm around Luke’s shoulders.
Luke quickly shrugged it off with a grimace. “She’s not my (Y/N).” He snapped. “It just surprises me that she sneaks out to meet him. That doesn’t sound like her.”
“Yeah, ‘cause you know her so well after barely talking to her for years and only making eyes at her from afar.” Bobby countered.
“I’m not making eyes at her!” The guitarist defended himself much too quickly to be believable. Back in the day when he still was friends with (Y/N), he may have had the tiniest of crushes on her. Luke had to admit that (Y/N) was indeed very beautiful, but he most certainly wasn’t making eyes at her as Bobby had suggested.
--
A few days passed. Luke sped through the house looking for his jacket so he could get going to band practice, which he was already running late for. “Mom, Dad. I’m going to Bobby’s” He shouted through the house, hoping his parents had heard him. Finally finding his jacket under his bed, he shrugged it on as he made his way through the kitchen.
He was about to open the back door, when his mom appeared behind him. “Don’t you have a french test to study for? (Y/N)’s father told me about it.” Emily looked expectantly at her son, arms crossed over her chest.
Luke rolled his eyes and turned around. “Yeah, that’s why I’m going to Bobby’s. We’re gonna study together.” He lied convincingly.
Emily nodded slowly, a bit skeptical. “(Y/N) studies every night alone and gets good grades. Maybe if you would just concentrate more, you could study alone, too.” Emily suggested. Luke laughed silently. (Y/N) studying every night? That was rich, if only her parents really knew their daughter.
Luke mentally shook his head out. “Sure, but Bobby is better in french than I am. So he can help me. Work smarter not harder, isn’t that what they say?” He shrugged.
Emily looked at him thoughtfully. “You could study with (Y/N). She’s nearly fluent in French now.”
Luke nodded, a slight laugh escaping his lips as he opened the door. “I’ll think about it, alright? Now I really have to go!” He quickly said and made his way outside, slamming the door behind him. He couldn’t be late, after all Sunset Curve was playing another gig tonight. Luke took his bike from its spot against the fence and made his way towards the gate to the front yard when he suddenly saw a figure out of the corner of his eye again. Her hair was flowing in the wind as she quickly made her way through the darkened yard only this time instead of just watching, Luke went after her. Before (Y/N) could reach the car that was waiting for her behind the trees, Luke touched her shoulder. Startled, she let out a yelp of surprise as she spun around. “(Y/N)?”
“L-Luke...hey.” She laughed nervously.
“What are you doing out here?” He asked her confused, he was half expecting her to be up in her room studying like the perfect little princess she was.
(Y/N) clasped at his wrist and pulled him behind the trees, out of the sight of her house. “Don’t you dare tell my parents about this!” She hissed at the guitarist through gritted teeth.
Luke laughed. “What? That their little princess is sneaking out?”
“I’m not a princess!” She angrily countered.
Luke shook his head “Nah, you’re right, you’re clearly the living definition of a goody-two-shoes. Such a good girl, eager to please.”
(Y/N) rolled her eyes “You clearly forget everything you thought about good girls.”
Luke furrowed his brows. “What do you mean?”
Suddenly a voice interrupted both of them “(Y/N) you’re coming?” Brandon Jones, cool as ever with a cigarette poised elegantly between his lips, sat in the car beside them, looking with raised eyebrows at the girl in front of Luke.
(Y/N)’s gaze wandered between the two boys “I gotta go.” She murmured as she opened the car door. But before getting inside she paused and turned to Luke again. “Good girls are bad girls that haven’t been caught.” She winked as she got into the car immediately rolling down the window. “Now be a good boy and just turn around and forget about this encounter, alright?”. With that, she sped off leaving the guitarist standing there dumbfounded. Luke shook his head in disbelief, what had just happened?
When he arrived at Bobby’s, (Y/N) words were still running laps through Luke’s head. He was quick to tell the rhythm guitarist about the encounter. “‘Good girls are bad girls that haven’t been caught’.” Bobby murmured.
Luke nodded. “That’s what she said. Sounds pretty rad don’t you think?” He looked at the other guitarist who nodded in agreement. “Yeah...” Suddenly it was extremely and rather awkwardly quiet. “Do you think that they-” Luke started.
“Are seeing each other?” Bobby finished his friend’s question, the lead guitarist nodding in confirmation. “Would it matter?”
Luke shrugged. “I mean, I just don’t want her to see her being pressured into something she doesn’t want to.”
Bobby laughed quietly. “OR you just don’t want her doing anything with Brandon.”
“Okay, I am definitely not jealous!” Luke countered, shaking his head.
“I never said you were, but now that you mention it…”
“Oh shut up...besides I’ve barely spoken to her in years!”
“But people don’t really change that much!” Bobby countered.
Luke huffed dramatically. “Well she did!”
“I don’t know about that, bro. Sneaking out? Doesn’t really sound like the (Y/N) we know from school.” He paused a moment. “The (Y/N) you knew when you were younger, the one you’ve told me about, that’s her down to the letter.” He shrugged as rose from his spot. “But enough about this. We’ve gotta go pick up Alex and Reggie. Otherwise we’re going to be late!” Luke quickly nodded, grabbing his guitar before following Bobby outside.
The club was completely packed with people. Luke could hear the audience’s chattering from backstage. “This is so cool!” Reggie excitedly said after taking a look through the club. “There are so many people here from school, too!”
Luke took a deep breath. Adrenaline was starting to course through his veins. He could practically hear his heart beating in his chest as the band made their way onto the stage. He blinked a few times as he tried to get used to the spotlights. His gaze drifted down through the crowd in front of them as they quickly set themselves up. Suddenly he stopped. At the back, right next to the bar, there she was standing. Their eyes met and a small smile played around her lips. Luke laughed to himself quietly before taking a step closer to the mic. “We’re Sunset Curve!”
After their gig, Luke made his way through the crowd. Everytime someone patted his shoulder to tell him how good they were, she nodded thankfully but his eyes always stayed fixated on (Y/N). When he finally stood in front of her a giggle left her lips “Good show, Patterson.”
He smirked, leaning against the bar. “Thanks.”
“Just like we imagined when we were kids.” She slightly bumped against his shoulder.
The guitarist felt his heart beat faster at this. Nervously he rubbed the back of his neck. “I guess.”
“So that’s what you’ve been up to all this time...?” She quietly asked, her gaze drifting through the crowd. Luke nodded in reply. “And soon you’re gonna be famous!” She smiled suddenly much more excited.
Luke laughed “I think that’s still a long way off. What about you? What’ve you been up to?” He asked her curiously.
“Oh, you know violin and ballet lessons, the usual. I haven’t told my parents yet that I’m sick of it!” She nonchalantly took a sip from her coke and looked at him.
Luke furrowed his brows, he was genuinely confused. “I thought that’s what you liked? I mean you got your violin around the same time I got my guitar.”
(Y/N) shook her head “I practically begged my parents to get me an electric bass so we could form a band but they got me a violin. Said it would be better for me.”
Luke was surprised at those words. “A band?” He saw (Y/N)’s cheeks taking on a pink shade.
She shrugged. “Like Led Zeppelin.” Suddenly ‘Whole Lotta Love’ started to blast through the speakers of the club. (Y/N) laughed “That’s creepy. Like they’ve been listening to us talk about it.”
But Luke barely listened to her. Instead he had been transported back to 1987. He had just found the old Led Zeppelin EP in one of his dad’s boxes he kept into the attic. He had immediately called (Y/N) to meet him in the treehouse. They had been listening to the songs when suddenly (Y/N) had told him about her best female friend (Y/F/N), who had told her that she had kissed Fynn, a boy from their class. “Like a real kiss? On their lips?” Luke had asked with wide eyes. He, of course, had asked her if she ever had kissed a boy on the lips. (Y/N) had admitted that she had never. In her childish recklessness, or could it be her boldness, she had told him that he was the only one who she would have wanted to kiss. Luke remembered how nervous he had been, when (Y/N) had leaned in, ‘Whole Lotta Love’ playing in the background when their lips touched but for a short second.
Luke looked wide-eyed at the girl in front of him, who didn’t know the memory that was playing in his head at the moment. His gaze fell from her eyes to her lips. Maybe Bobby had been right. Maybe (Y/N) hadn’t really changed that much and maybe he still had those feelings he had for her when he was smaller. He quickly shook his head. He couldn’t have those thoughts. (Y/N) was here with someone else. “So where’s your shadow?” He asked, referring to Brandon. He turned to the bar to order a coke.
She sighed “Having a smoke.”
“Already missing him?” He laughed.
(Y/N) huffed, slightly annoyed. “Yeah, sure.”
“I thought you were a thing?” Luke asked, turning to her again.
(Y/N) furrowed her brows “Who told you that?”
“Nobody. I just thought because you always sneak out to meet him and because you’re here together…?” He shrugged.
(Y/N) laughed. “No, I mean it’s fun to hang out but I would never...I mean...he’s a player and only plays with girls.”
Luke looked at her amused. “So you’re just hanging out with him for the sake of hanging out?” (Y/N) nodded.
“I was just tired of everything. Of my life. It seemed like a good escape, you know? But now...it’s really hard to make it clear to him that nothing will ever happen.”
“Just be careful, alright? I don’t think he’ll let you get off the hook so easy.”
(Y/N) shook her head “Soon he’ll get tired of me and look for someone else.”
“And what about you then?”
(Y/N) took a deep breath and turned to him, something obviously weighing heavily on her mind. “Luke, I-” She started, but before she could finish her sentence they were interrupted as an arm found his way around (Y/N) shoulder.
“I’m back.” Brandon smirked, eying Luke suspiciously.
“Hey Brandon.” Luke smirked, annoyance evident in his gaze, before turning to (Y/N) again. “It was nice catching up, (Y/N). See ya around.” With that he made his way through the crowd, trying to stop himself from thinking about (Y/N).
--
Days passed. Once again, Luke barely saw (Y/N) apart from their classes. He was sitting in his room, writing down the lyrics to a song that had been stuck in his mind for days, when suddenly the doorbell rang. He ran down the hall of the family’s ranch style home and was met with her beautiful eyes, when he opened the door. “(Y/N)! So good to see you!” Emily greeted with a big smile, appearing behind Luke. “Come on in.” Luke stepped aside to let the girl inside. With a questioning glance, he looked to his mother. “I called (Y/N)’s parents to ask if she could help you in french. I think that would be better than having to go all the way to Bobby’s, right?”
Luke nodded slowly “Uhm, yeah. Sounds good. Uhm, we could go into my room?” He suggested, looking at Emily.
His mother nodded “Yes, but leave the door open. I’ll bring you some snacks.”
Luke nodded in agreement and turned to (Y/N). “Shall we?” (Y/N) nodded in reply and followed him down the hall to his bedroom. “Take a seat, I guess.” He pointed to the chair in front of his desk as he took a seat on the bed. “What are you doing here?”
“Helping you in french.” She laughed.
Luke nodded slowly, a sly, teasing smirk appearing on his face. “And, uh, is Brandon alright with you hanging out with me?”
“Who cares?” (Y/N) rolled her eyes at the mention of his name. “Right after your concert I told him I couldn’t see him anymore.”
Luke furrowed his brows. “Why?”
“As I already told you, at first it was just an escape but...he wanted to do more the entire time and I just didn’t want to...at least not with him.” She laughed.
Luke looked at her, a playful glint in his eye. “Not with him, huh? So someone else has caught your eye then?” he laughed.
(Y/N) shrugged, casting her glance downward. “Maybe. But that won’t happen, so…”
“Why not?”
(Y/N) sighed, nervously keeping her gaze trained to the ground, before looking up at him again. “Luke...you see...I know we haven’t had that much contact over the last few years, but...I wish it was different and I’m sorry. I thought...well I had hoped...“ She paused, inhaling deeply. “Maybe we could start over? Being friends again?” She asked, hope evident in her voice.
Suddenly Luke felt his heartbeat just a tiny bit faster. “Friends?” He croaked, before clearing his throat. “You mean like back in the day?”
(Y/N) nodded. “Yeah, and uhm maybe…” She nervously played with the necklace around her neck. Luke’s eyes drifted to the pendant. It was the necklace he had given her when she had turned seven. Inside it he had put a picture of the both of them. (Y/N) eyes softened when she saw what Luke was looking at. She took the chain from around her neck and slowly took his hand, placing it in his palm. She looked expectantly at it before looking up at him. Luke opened it and found himself looking at his and (Y/N)’s younger selves. In the picture he had his arm slung around her shoulders. Both of them were smiling brightly.
Luke sighed as he smiled at the memory of that day. “I had a little crush on you back then.” He admitted quietly, staring at the toothy grin of her younger version.
“You did?” (Y/N) asked.
He nodded, his eyes never leaving the picture. “I was so sad when we stopped talking, but it...it had just happened, right?”
“I wish it hadn’t...I uh...I had a crush on you, too.” she murmured.
Luke laughed quietly, the pieces of the puzzle slowly falling into place. “So if we want to go back to how it was then…”
“You would have a crush on me?” (Y/N) smiled hopefully.
Luke shrugged. “Maybe I still do.” He felt his cheeks heating up as (Y/N) clasped at his hands.
“Maybe I still have a crush on you, too.”
Luke’s heart felt like it was going to beat out of his chest. His eyes met (Y/N)’s and he couldn’t stop his smile from growing wider if that was even possible. “Just maybe?” He asked cheekily, as he slowly leaned in closer.
“Alright, so definitely.” (Y/N) giggled as their lips connected in a tender kiss.
--
“Please, you have to come!” Luke whispered into the phone in the kitchen where the landline was. It was already dark inside the house, his parents already having turned in for the night.
“Okay, fine. But you tell my parents that you have a good influence on me the next time they see us.” She laughed through the speaker, before hanging up.
They met behind the trees at the back of their yards. He leaned in to greet her with a short kiss. “I missed you.” He murmured, hiding his face into her neck.
“We just saw each other a few hours ago.” (Y/N) laughed.
“That’s so long ago!” He countered as Luke got onto his bike and looked expectantly at (Y/N), who stood on the tire spokes behind him. “Hold on tight!”
The venue was filled with people dancing and chattering. (Y/N) followed Luke to the side of the stage. “Stay here so you’ll have a good view of the stage and that way I can see you, too.” He said, looking at her with a wide smile.
“Knock ‘Em dead, rockstar!” She beamed at him, leaning in to give him a good-luck kiss.
“Alright, enough of that lovebirds. We gotta go!” Bobby laughed, interrupting the cute moment pushing Luke toward the stage.
Reggie smiled at them. “Look at all the people! It’s gonna be sick!”
Alex shrugged nervously. “I hope they like us...”
(Y/N) smiled at the other band members “You’re gonna rock this, I’m sure of it!” She hugged them and wished them good luck, before the band went onto the stage.
Luke’s gaze immediately fell to his girlfriend, who gave him a thumbs-up. He winked at her before getting closer to the mic. “Hey, we’re Sunset Curve, thank you for having us.” The crowd erupted in cheers. “Thank you.” He laughed “We directly wanna start with a new song. It’s inspired by a person who means the world to me.” His gaze fell to (Y/N) again, who was smiling at him. “It’s called Good Girls/Bad Girls.”
“She said to me forget what you’ve thought, cause good girls are bad girls that haven’t been caught.”

the one where the team watches you and Spence fall in love

David Rossi was a tired, tired man. All he wanted after a long week was to go home to sit in his favourite recliner and light a cigar, and the only thing preventing that currently was the fact that he had left his cell phone in his office. He let out a sigh as he made his way up the steps, and as he approached the office he saw something peculiar; the door was slightly ajar. David Rossi never left doors ajar, definitely not his own office door and certainly not when he was going home for a weekend. His hand tentatively reached towards his holstered weapon - a precaution that was ingrained in his behavioral patterns from years of dangerous work.
When he flicked on the light and pushed open the door, he let out a small chuckle. The disturbance in his space wasn’t some radical criminal, but a softly breathing FBI agent snuggled up on his couch.
Y/n had always been Rossi’s favourite, and it was no secret to anyone that she could do no wrong in his eyes. She was the baby of the BAU, and had been taken on as the old mans protege since she was fresh out of the academy. She still looked much like she  had back then, Rossi mused to himself. All doe eyed and white knuckled, a determination to save the world brewing inside her.
He was roused from his thoughts when she stirred awake, sitting up and wiping under her eyes gently.
“What time is it? Spencer promised he’d wake me up when he left!” She whined, voice breaking with sleep.
“Bella, relax. It’s only 8:30. Why are you waiting for Spencer? And, more importantly, why are you in here?”
She laughed nervously, already anticipating Rossi’s coming reaction; “My car broke down again last week and I haven’t brought it in yet, so I’ve been riding in with Spence, and he wanted to finish his paperwork from this case before we left.”
“Your car again?” His tone matched that of a scolding parent, “You do know you’re on a government salary now Y/n - why won;t you let me take you to go get a new one. You of all people know how dangerous it is for a young woman to be stranded by an unreliable car.”
She laughed and rolled her eyes playfully.
“You sound like my dad. Spencer is reliable, I’m fine, honestly.”
He shook his head once more as she got up and bounded into the bullpen, presumably to go collect Spencer.
He watched them get into the elevator, seeing Y/n playfully run her hand through the boys hair. Right before the door closed he could see Spencer taking Y/n’s bags from her. This made him chuckle.
‘To be young and in love again.’ he thought, wistfully recalling how their banter had gone from friendly to flirty, how the shy smiles had turned into enthusiastic laughter. It reminded him of a simpler time in his life, a time where he could slip into love with the ease that one slips on a cardigan. The young pair was becoming a couple right before his eyes, and he was happy for them.
~
Penelope’s heels clicked softly as she walked down the hallway, three ceramic coffee mugs balanced delicately in her hands. She entered the breakroom to Morgan and Rossi staring quizzically out into the bullpen.
“What are you two up to?” She laughed.
“Spencer and Y/n are late.” Morgan stated simply.
“Spencer is never late!”
“I know babygirl - that’s why we’re taking bets on what Y/n’s excuse will be - Rossi says she’ll blame the cat, but I think she’ll go for something more classic, like-” Morgan pitched up his voice, mocking Y/n’s exasperated tone:
“‘It’s not my fault Reid drives like a GRANDMA!’”
The trio laughed amongst themselves, making small jokes back and forth until the famed couple burst through the doors. Spencer’s face was flushed with embarrassment as he slunk into his seat around the table, but Y/n couldn’t contain her giggles.
“I’m not going to drive you anymore if you’re going to make me late.” He pouted.
“Yes you are. You’ll do it because I’m your favourite” She quipped back.
Penelope, Derek, and Rossi shared a knowing glance, and Emily - who had made her way in just before Y/n and Spencer - took a long sip of her coffee to hide her own knowing smile.
The case was in southern California, which meant a five hour flight. There was only so much conjecture and review the team could do while on the plane, and most of their conversation topics had been eaten away by hour four. Y/n sat cross legged in the seat across from Derek, reading aloud used car listings for him to approve.
“Okay, so this one says ‘well loved, nice condition’ and-”
“No.” Derek interrupted, “That means it's a piece of junk.”
They both laughed and sat in silence for a moment while Y/n scrolled to find another ad.
“You know,” Derek mused, cocking an eyebrow at her, “I live closer to you than Spencer does. I could always pick you up sometimes. I could also fix the brakes in your car - all it would take is like an hour and forty bucks.”
“You know I hate asking you for help D! You already do so much for me.”
Derek shook his head in disbelief.
“No I mean it!” She laughed, placing her phone onto the table between them, “Plus I’ve been working really hard on filling Spencer's brain with as much useless stuff as possible. Currently I’m teaching him to identify any song from Taylor Swift’s discography with only the first five seconds of music - it’s very impressive stuff.”
They both laughed, and Derek plugged his own headphones in. He watched as Y/n’s eyes slunk towards Spencer over and over again, jerking back and forth in a lame attempt to avoid being caught.
~
“You’re in love with me.” He stated simply, as if reciting a basic fact.
“That’s quite the assumption Spence. You don’t know me!” She said back, moving her chess piece across the board.
“Actually it’s not an assumption - it’s a hypothesis I’ve had for quite some time, but after collecting all the appropriate data, conducting peer surveys-”
“Conducting what?”
“Not important. What I’m saying is that the only reasonable conclusion is that you, Y/n L/n, are in love with me.”
She rolled her eyes, pushing the chess game aside and moving to sit next to him on his bed instead of across from him.
“Well that took you long enough.” She laughed, wrapping her arms around his torso. “You think I would let you drive me to work 20 minutes early everyday and come over after each case if I didn't?”
“You think I’d let you say 1989 is the best Taylor Swift album if I wasn’t in love with you? This goes both ways Y/n.”
He looked down at her, and just for a moment let himself slip into those eyes. He felt sleep crawling towards him and sunk deeper into the bed, keeping Y/n close to him as he moved.
“1989 is the best Taylor Swift album, and I’ll prove it to you tomorrow. You just prefer Red because you enjoy emotionally torturing yourself.” She mumbled into his chest.
Spencer just shook his head and let out a breathy laugh and let himself fall asleep.
A/n:

The Assistant [Hailee Steinfeld x Fem!Reader] - Chapter 1
Plot: Y/N Waldorf is fresh out of college and her first job is being Hailee Steinfeld's personal assistant, but what Y/N doesn't know is that Hailee is hiding a huge secret from the general public and from her, as her assistant.
Notes: This is a multi-chapter fic, you can also read this on wattpad under the same username "itspbandjellytime". This fanfic is also going to contain NSFW themes in the near future, so if you're under the age of 18 please don't read this. Thank you!
Word count: 1.5k words
[Y/N's POV]
My name is Y/N Waldorf, I am 21 years old and I live in Seattle, Washington, and I just graduated from college a few months ago. After four gruesome years of this course that I didn't like, I am finally free and I get to choose what job I'll have in the future since this is America and it's a free country after all. I got to say College was mentally challenging, but it was worth it after all and I got my degree, which I will probably never use in the future.
My parents, are real estate brokers and they were high school sweethearts. But they're not your typical high school sweethearts where one is a football player and the other is the girl next door, my parents were a bunch of nerds who fell in love and gave birth to two girls. I am the youngest and my sister Kelly, is the eldest.
If I can talk about their reaction to me graduating college, all I can say is that they were happy that I finished college after ranting to them I want to drop out every five seconds. However they have been bugging me for months to get a job which is annoying at first but I manage to get used to them bothering me at 3 in the morning to get one which I have- well had. I told my parents I've been working at the coffee shop somewhere in our local town, but they told me to get a PROPER job, a job that can pay me well and can give me money to support myself. As if the job at the coffee shop didn't support me when I was in college which it did for some time, I quit my job at the coffee shop a few weeks ago and now I am scouring the internet for a job.
My eyes start to hurt from staring at the screen of my laptop way too long, scrolling through countless job hunting websites, my ears start to hurt as well from the headphones I am wearing and blasting out my playlists as I look for the said job. I start to slowly give up at this point and start to overthink about my life choices until I was on the verge of tears, when all of a sudden I saw something that says: "Urgent! In need of a Personal Assistant, please contact Laura McKinnon." along with her details. I was skeptical at first when I saw the advertisement, I am fully aware about the scams happening which leads to people being in very life threatening circumstances. But with a quick google search, I realized that she works as a talent manager and she's based in California, I feel like this is also a sign from God at the same time. I immediately typed down her e-mail address and sent my resume to Laura, hoping for the best and I don't get scammed.
A few days have passed, I've been checking my e-mail almost everyday to see if I get a word from Laura which I did. According to the E-mail I sent, I am scheduled to have an interview with her via. Zoom the next day. The next day arrived and I was interviewed by Laura through Zoom, once the interview concluded she told me she'll contact me again once I get the job or not. I waited and waited, day and night for a response from Laura. I was desperate to get this job that I started to go to church almost everyday, I was religious for an entire week basically.
One day, while I was in a middle of a run just to count my steps in and getting my blood pumping, my phone starts to ring. I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and answered the call from an anonymous number "Hello?" I spoke, panting and catching my breath "Hello is this Y/N Waldorf?" The person asked, the sound of the person's voice sounded sweet, feminine, and had a valley girl accent.
I furrow my brows, checking my surroundings before speaking "Yes, who is this?" I asked.
"This is Laura McKinnon, from the office of Hailee Steinfeld. I am just here to inform you that you got the job as Hailee Steinfeld's personal assistant." Laura said, hold on... Did she say Hailee Steinfeld? Like... THE Hailee Steinfeld?!? I get to work as Hailee Steinfeld's personal assistant?!? I tend not to freak out in the middle of the street knowing I am gonna be a part of Hailee's team. I've looked up to Hailee since I first saw The Edge of Seventeen for the first time and I never looked back since, she is also the reason why I am into women and met one of my closest friends, Jackie.
"Miss Waldorf? Are you still on the line?" Laura asks me, I snapped back to reality and stammered for a bit to find words "Uhm... Yes. Sorry, I was distracted." I responded, chuckling nervously.
"It's all good Miss Waldorf, anyways you will be starting next week. I know you are based in Washington, but if you have any associates around the Los Angeles area, you can stay with them." Laura told me, all did was respond with a nod and a smile on my face "Yes... I will do that, thank you so much." I said as Laura ended the call.
After my run, I headed straight to my apartment and called up my bestfriend Jackie, I know it's crazy that I am calling my internet friend before my parents who have been bugging me to get a proper job. I met Jackie through our shared interest and love for Hailee Steinfeld, thanks to the website "Twitter", I was blabbering about Hailee on the site as usual and then she asked if we can be mutuals on that site  and we have been inseparable ever since also Jackie lives in Los Angeles around West Hollywood so I can crash at her place.
"Jackie!" I said with a proud tone, running around my apartment like I am a dog who just got the zoomies.
"Y/N/N! Hey, what's up?" Jackie asks me, I settle down on the couch and clear my throat.
"Girl guess what?" I ask her, I cant contain my excitement as a huge grin forms on my face.
"What?" She asks me back.
"I got a job!" I exclaimed, not telling her what my job is and who I work for just yet to build the suspense.
"No way, congrats girlie! What job?" Jackie asks.
I clear my throat again, a smirk forms on my face "Personal assistant." I confidently say.
"For?"
"Hailee Steinfeld." I responded, giggling like a teenage girl. I heard Jackie scream on the other line, causing me to laugh at her response "Yes, I am being serious Jackie. And I need to crash at your place." I told her.
"Oh my God sure, you are free to stay at my place... holy shit... You bagged a good job." Jackie compliments me and all I can do is laugh.
"It's insane, I know." I said, smiling "I start next week, and I gotta tell my parents about it as well." I added.
"Well you better tell them, girl." Jackie encouraged me, I can tell that she's leaning against a wall and smiling with her phone on her hand.
"Of course, I'll tell them and I will drive by there tomorrow." I said, ending my call with Jackie.
I told my parents about the job that I got, their reactions were positive and they supportive of me moving from Washington to California the next day. But my grandparents are huge conspiracy theorist believers, they start to talk about random things about the entertainment industry and my parents just shook their heads and told me to ignore them and enjoy my job. And in the words of my mother, she told me that this job is a once in a life time opportunity and I should savor every moment. Which I will, cause I have a feeling that working with your idol will be one of the best experiences I will have in my life time.
I spent the entire day packing my things for California, and It's a good thing that my sister, Kelly is down to look after and live in my apartment for the mean time. I love my sister, I would die for her.
The next day, I finally left Washington and headed to California. I decided to take my car and drive, it feels like a road trip with yourself and it's very therapeutic. I suggest that you try it, I spent the entire road trip blasting out Taylor Swift, eating convenient store food, sleeping in my car in empty parking spots.
The trip lasted for 17 hours, and 17 hours later I arrived in sunny Los Angeles. The last time I was in Los Angeles was when I was 15, when I first met Jackie and we saw Hailee live when she opened Charlie Puth. I took time to look around the surroundings as I drove to where Jackie lives, a smile forms on my face and it made me realize that this will be the start of a new chapter of my life and I hope this one will never end.

NOTE: If you see any spelling mistake im sorry, english is not my first lenguage and i try to do it the best possible.
Y/n's POV
This was the end. What I have known for two years will disappear and cease to exist. After Amy bald to the president, the dean has decided he doesn't want the Barden Bellas to exist anymore and has banned us from auditioning.
This will be the end for the Bellas. I personally haven't taken it as bad as other people, Chloe and I've been crying all day. That's not to say it doesn't hurt, the Bellas have been my family for two years and I've been a part of them since my first day of college.
My older sister, who is part of the Bellas, encouraged me to study at Barden with her and join the a cappella group with her. The truth is that when Beca told me that she was in an a cappella group, I couldn't believe it.
I mean, my goth, antisocial sister being part of a group of girls who sing. The first thing I did when she told me about it was laugh, thinking that she was playing a joke on me and I wasn't going to fall for another one of her jokes.
But it turned out that it was true, that she was in the only all-female a cappella group in Barden and that she was enjoying it. She even told me that dad was supporting her participation in the group.
Which is not surprising to me, since since I left our mother and moved; He has tried to get closer to us in recent years. Beca has always been more reluctant to accept our father, I think the divorce of our parents hurt her more than me and as father she rebuilt her life quite quickly.
I was eight, so my attention was on gaming and cartoons. While Beca was already 10 years old and about to enter pre-adolescence. In addition to the fact that Beca was closer to dad, while I was closer to mom and that's why when he tried to have a closer relationship with me I didn't care much. And he pays for mi college so...
But back to the main topic. When I graduated from high school, I enrolled at Barden University with my father's help to study architecture and on my first day I auditioned to be part of the Bellas.
It is more than enough that they accepted me since I have a good voice and for being the little sister of Beca Mitchell. And although we are sisters, we are not very similar.
The only thing we have in common is blue eyes and brown hair. Although Beca's eyes are a bit darker than mine. I'm 1.73 so I'm 16 centimeters taller than her. Which is funny since she is the older sister and because of our height difference no one believes it.
Flo: For your hairy situation.- I listen as she reads and look up from the letter I'm reading, to see her with a box of depilatory blades in her hand and a confused look. -Oh.- she says realizing it and I laugh at her gesture.
Chloe: Very well, we are officially registered in the competition.- She tells us with a huge smile. –So renew the passports, because we are going to sunny and fabulous Copenhagen! - exclaims completely excited.
Stacie: Fine.- she celebrates by giving me and Amy a high-five .
Amy: Where is that ? - confused question and I look at her as if she were stupid.
Chloe: I don't know, I failed geography.- she answers shrugging her shoulders.
Y/n: It's the capital of Denmark.- I answer earning confused looks from the girls. –Is it in Europe, below Sweden and above Germany ? - I ask to see if they are located. -Leave it.- I deny when I see that no one knows what I'm talking about.
Chloe: It seems that the contest is dominated by that stupid German group that has taken the tour from us.- she comments between her teeth without looking up from the laptop.
Stacie: Who has stolen the tour from us.- She corrects our housemate and friend.
Amy: Exactly. You have to look for those Germans .- supports her. -They can't be that good, Germany doesn't produce good singers since David Hasselhoff.- she assures us with certainty.
Y/n: Since when is David Hasselhoff singing ? - I ask completely confused.
Amy: Always Mitchell junior, update yourself.- she tells me as if it were obvious.
Flo: It's that chubby man who was running in slow motion with a red swimsuit, right? - she asks with confusion and I nod in response.
Amy: We're going to crush them and when we do, those dumb asses will have to swallow all these cards.- She says confidently taking another card from the kitchen island. -Die bitches, die. Criticizing slut.- she reads stamping the letter against the island. -The Bellas are back! - she exclaims with emotion.
Flo: Yes.- She assures celebrating like the rest.
Chloe: Has anyone talked to Beca today? - she asks and I avoid scratching my eyebrow.
When I get nervous or hide something, I have a habit of scratching my eyebrow and everyone immediately realized it. The itching is something that I cannot avoid, at first I feel a slight tingling in my right eyebrow and then it triples, making it impossible for me not to scratch it.
Y/n: I haven't seen her after going to the introductions and my classes.- I answer by opening another letter, to focus on something else and keep myself distracted from the itch in my eyebrow.
Amy: Not since she left the room this morning.- She answers, shrugging her shoulders and not giving it much importance.
Jessica: Girls remember that today Chloe and Ashley prepare dinner while Y/n and Stacie have to clean up later.- She reminds us from the table in the corner of the kitchen and groans.
Y/n: But if I had to clean two days ago.- I complain like a girl.
Stacie: Don't worry honey.- she tells me hugging me by the shoulders and sticking me to her neck. –This time you will clean with me or me.- she whispers the last part suggestively in my ear.
Amy : I keep saying it Long live the tortilla! - she exclaims and I separate from my roommate to look at her badly. –What ? My room is above yours and I have ears. - she comments without much importance.
Y/n: Whatever you say.- I deny I was amused and throw her a letter, which is not a good idea because the six of us ended up in a card war.
Once we're done with dinner, Stacie and I find ourselves in the kitchen scrubbing and cleaning everything we've used. The rest are in the living room or in their rooms, since we're going to go to the treble house in a whileand they're probably getting ready.
Y/n: Can someone open the door ? I yelled when I heard the doorbell ring.
I don't know if anyone has heard me, but I hear the door open and two people talk. Suddenly I feel something wet on my back and I jump letting out a scream.
Y/n: It's not funny.- I reproached my best friend, seeing her with an empty glass of water in her hand and an amused smile on her face.
Stacie: That's because you're the one with a wet back.- She assures me, laughing at the situation.
Y/n: Yes? - I ask and quickly grab the sink hose. –Tell me now if it's still fun.- I comment opening the faucet and wetting it between laughs.
Stacie: Y/n Stop! - she exclaims jumping on me and trying to take the hose out of my hands. –Stop! - she exclaims between laughs while we fight for the control of the hose.
Y/n: No! - I deny without stopping laughing. -Drop the hose.- I order amused, still laughing and getting both of us wet in the struggle for control.
Stacie: Let it go.- she orders me just as amused as I am.
Chloe: Everyone in the living room!.- She yells and we both stop turning off the tap.
Y/n: Because of you, she's going to tell us off.- I reproached her in a whisper, looking at her with half-closed eyes and earning me an offended look from her.
Stacey: Excuse me? - she asks ironically, placing her hand on her chest.
Y/n: I forgive you.- I reply with a superior smile.
Stacie: You're going to find out.- she threatens me and my eyes widen as saucers running out of the kitchen. –Come back here Mitchell!. - she yells chasing me.
I run into the living room, not paying much attention to the girls and not noticing the presence of a stranger. I see Amy and run hiding behind her back.
Y/n: Ams you have to help me.- I ask her, grabbing at her shirt.
Amy: Let me go, you're soaked.- she tells me, separating me from her body.
Y/n: No.- I deny trying not to let go.
Stacie: Come here dwarf.- she tells me standing in front of Amy .
Y/n: I'm as tall as you .- I remember her sticking out my tongue.
Stacie: You're going to find out.- She says just when Amy manages to let go of me and jumps on me .
Y/n: Ahhhh! - I shout falling to the ground with her on top. -Help she is crazy, she wants to kill me!- I yell moving on the ground and grabbing her wrists when she tries to bring her hands to my face.
Cynthia: As sexy as this is, we girls have a visitor.- She tells us and we both look at her confused.
Stacie: What?- asks just as confused as me, sitting on my lap and looking at our acasister.
Cynthia just nods her head, away from the direction we're looking and letting us know we have to follow her nod. We both turned our faces to the other side and we met a tall girl with brown hair.
I open my eyes in surprise and feel my cheeks heat up with embarrassment. I get up from the ground along with my best friend in just two seconds.
Cynthia: Not that I'm complaining girls, but you're soaking wet.- She points to our clothes and I look down at my white t-shirt; seeing how it shows through.
I bite my lip a little embarrassed, separating the shirt a little from my body and preventing my lilac bra from being seen anymore. I clear my throat and look at the new girl.
Chloe: Well, leaving the whole wet t-shirt thing aside.- She speaks downplaying our wet clothes. -Emily here has come to do an audition.- she warns and I look at the confused co -captain.
Chloe: Well, leaving the whole wet t-shirt thing aside.- She speaks downplaying our wet clothes. -Emily here has come to do an audition.- she warns and I look at the confused co -captain.
Y/n: Not to sound rude or anything Emily.- I tell the nervous girl with a smile. -But we can't accept anyone , Chloe , you heard the dean and she practically forbade us from auditions to avoid our 'spread'.- I remind her, putting quotation marks around the last word.
Flo: She is an heiress.- She tells me a little low.
Y/n: One what ? - I ask confused.
Chloe: She is an heiress, her mother was a Bela and therefore she has the opportunity to audition.- She explains to me and I nod not very sure. - It is in the oath of the Belas and it comes to our hair. - she says to all those present.
Y/n: But we still can't do auditions.- I say confused, scratching my eyebrow nervously for not wanting to get in trouble with the dean.
Most of the girls may be graduating this year, if not all but me; but I still have two years left and I don't want to have any problems with the dean.
Chloe: We haven't really gone to where she is.- She points to the heiress, who is nervously playing with her hands. -She has come to us and she is an heiress, so we have to audition her yes or yes.- she assures me and I sigh exhausted.
Y/n: Okay.- I accept walking to stand behind the sofa.
Amy: Let's see what you know how to do heiress.- she points to her, falling on the sofa in front of me.
Emily: I'll sing a song that I've written.- she explains. –Although I haven't really finished it yet and it still has some work to do, so don't get all worked up . It sounded borderline, I didn't want to sound borderline. - she says quickly nervously. -Fat Amy , a beautiful little pussy.- she flatters and I raise my eyebrows in surprise.
Amy: Thank you, go ahead. – Thanks clearly flattered.
Emily: When tomorrow comes, I'll be on my own ...- she begins to sing and I open my eyes surprised by her voice.
There is something in her voice that is soothing and amazing. I can't help but stare at her in complete awe, detailing every detail of her face and the gestures she's making as she sings. I watch as she closes her eyes to concentrate and I can hear a slight rise in confidence in her voice.
She smiled tenderly at the gestures she makes, since she looks very tender moving her hands with the song and with her eyes closed. I nod for her to continue, when she opens her eyes and looks at me as she sings.
Emily: ...And in the dark I found .. - stop singing. –I'm still working and it's a bit green; so .. don't take it into account.- she explains and I press my lips together to avoid laughing out loud.
He sings again, but this time she moves her arms more and she does it with a smile on her face. From one moment to the next she starts making weird noises, like a guitar or something like that and I can't help but let out a laugh.
Chloe: Will you excuse us for a moment ? - she asks when she finishes singing.
Emily: Emm , yes of course.- She accepts confused and the co - captain immediately turns around calling us to come closer.
Chloe: It's pretty good, can we take it? - She asks us all in a whisper, but not low enough so that the heiress doesn't hear her and shifts uncomfortably in her place.
Amy: What do you expect us to say ? - she asks the only captain present. -It's right there.- she whispers, pointing at the girl with her eyes.
Y/n: And she can hear us.- I warn them in a whisper, making the girls greet her with smiles and she makes an awkward gesture with her hand in response.
Amy: She's not a soloist, that's clear.- she whispers giving her opinion.
Flo / Stacie: No.- they deny along with some others.
Chloe: She has come to us, we don't break any rules.- she reminds us in a whisper.
Stacie: The legal loophole is perfect for us.- She assures us and we all nod in agreement with her.
Flo: It's always good to have an extra body, in case someone is kidnapped for ransom, put in a freezer and forced to eat leaves and gas bills.- she says and we all look at her between confused and a little disturbed.
Cynthia: We shouldn't decide anything without Beca.- she doesn't say and I nod my head in agreement.
Stacie: Isn't it strange that she haven't opened her eyes at all?- she asks us and I open my eyes looking at Emily's awkward attitude.
Amy: We're talking about her and she's right there.- She says looking at the brunette with a slightly uncomfortable smile.
Y/n: And she can still hear us.- I remind them quickly when they all smile.
Amy: Let's start with the giraffe legs.- she whispers and I open my eyes in surprise.
Y/n: Amy no.- I deny quickly. -She's in front, she's listening to us and what you just said is offensive.- I scold her with a frown.
Stacie: And then she says that she doesn't look anything like her sister.- she comments, rolling her eyes amused.
Chloe : Okay, let's vote.- she tells us. -Whoever wants it a G sharp and who doesn't want it an E flat.- she explains to us and at three we all sing a G sharp.
We all walk towards her, to stand in front of her with serious faces and not giving her a clue of the result. She sweeps her gaze over all of us quickly, until she collides with mine and stares at me with unfocused eyes.
I look at her a bit confused by her look, but I assume it will be because of my nerves and I give her a soft smile to calm her down a bit.
Chloe: Welcome to the Bellas!- she shouts excitedly and the new one screams happily.
Emily: I'm a happy junk! - screams and starts to dance in a kind of cute but weird; very weird way.
Cynthia: You can stop, you can stop.- She asks gently grabbing her wrists preventing her arms from moving.
Emily: Well, when does my initiation start ? - She asks and I look at her strangely. -An idea, I'm going to my room and I'll act surprised when you cover my head with a hood, while I ride the rubik 's cube while I sip Vodka from a compress.- she says and I look at her as if she were crazy.
Y/n: Yes , well, I'm going to change and that's it.- I say a bit confused and walk towards the stairs.
Stacie: Wait, I'll go with you.- she tells me and slaps me on the butt.
Y/n: Stacie!- I exclaim jumping on the spot and seeing how my roommate starts running up the stairs. -You're going to find out!- i scream and run after her.
I take the stairs two at a time, running down the hall until I reach the door to our room and try to get in it. I hear my friend's amused laugh from the other side of the door, when it barely opens a few inches and she closes it on the other side.
Emily's POV
I watch as the pretty blue-eyed girl runs up the stairs, following Stacie and the girls next to me laugh at them.
Chloe: You'll get used to it, they spend the day making jokes and running one after the other.- She tells me and I nod, returning my gaze to the redhead and the blonde in front of me.
Amy: They're like a TV Reality , they entertain you when you have nothing to do and there's nothing better on TV.- She explains laughing and I smiled slightly.
Chloe: This house really is a 24h Reality.- she tells me laughing and taking a sip of whatever she has in her yellow plastic cup.
Amy : But I hope you have earplugs, heiress.- She tells me taking a step back. -Because with those two can make a lot of noise at night.- she comments with an amused smile and walks towards the kitchen.
I don't know why, that last comment has caused a kind of emptiness in my stomach and I don't really understand why. I mean, the blue-eyed brunette is clearly physically attractive and has a beautiful smile.
During my test, the two times I have looked at her, she has smiled at me in a way that is unique and difficult for me to express. But her smile has somehow put me at ease and my heart has beaten a few milliseconds faster.
Although it could be because of the nerves and the fact that everyone looked at me in a serious way except her. Yes, it's probably that. I don't like girls, so I can't possibly like her and I don't even know her name.
Emily: Are they a couple ? - I ask interested, trying to seem as casual and disinterested as possible.
Chloe: Who Stacie and Y/n? - she asks pointing with her thumb to the stairs.
Emily: Yes, you know from Fat Amy 's comment.- I explain and she shakes her head smiling.
Chloe: No, they only have sporadic sex when neither of them manages to flirt at a party.- She denies amused. -Or when they're horny and the hunter needs attention.- she comments in a whisper, shrugging her shoulders unimportantly.
Emily: The hunter ? - I ask completely lost.
Chloe: It's what Stacie calls her vagina.- She answers me amused and I open my eyes in surprise.
Amy: Okay girls! It's party time!- she shouts suddenly appearing next to me and I jump in fright. –We have the tickets for Copenhagen and a new Bella! - she yells putting an arm around my shoulders at the end.
Emily: Party ? - I ask confused and a little excited, it would be my first university party and also being a Bella.
Amy: The trebels are having a party tonight.- She replies, standing next to the redhead again. -Now let's go! - she shouts and they all start walking towards the front door.
Y/n: Wait for me! - She shouts already changed and going down the stairs two by two.
I take in the clothes she's wearing and I can't help but run my eyes up and down her body. I open my mouth in awe, at how incredibly beautiful and attractive she looks. She wears a black top with a V-neckline, revealing her breasts and abs. Oh my god! She has abs.
I look down from her abs, seeing her black mom jeans and how the waist and butt area hugs her body like a glove. I snap out of my reverie when I feel someone link their arm through mine and pull me towards the door.
Jessica: Hi, my name is Jessica and her name is Ashley.- She introduces herself with a big smile and also introduces the short-haired brunette next to her.
Emily: My name is Emily.- I introduce myself focusing on them and not on the girl who just came down the stairs.
Ashley: We know, you've already introduced yourself.- she comments with a small laugh. -Anyway, welcome to the Bellas Emily, you'll see how much fun you have and the fun things we do.- she promises me with a huge smile.
Jessica: Do you know the name of the girls ? - I wonder and I shake my head.
Ashley: Perfect, we'll point them out to you and tell you their names.- She assures me, positioning herself on my free side and intertwining her arm with mine; just like Jessica.
Jessica: The short girl with black hair and a Latin accent is Flo Fuentes, she joined the Bellas about two years ago and she's a lot of fun.- She points to the girl next to the Asian girl.
Ashley: The one next door is called Lilly, she is somewhat mysterious and quiet.- she explains to me. –We don't know much about her because when she speaks she does it very very softly and we are not able to understand her.- she tells me and the blonde nods in support.
Jessica: The ones who won't stop fighting and were all wet are Stacie . Conrad and Y/n Mitchell.- she says pointing to the duo. - Stacie is the one on her back, she's a bit cheeky and she doesn't care if her opinions annoy someone. - She comments while we see how the newly named jumps and climbs on the pretty girl's back.
Ashley: Y/n is the complete opposite of her, she is a very kind and direct person, but she tries not to make what she says bother or hurt someone by being as politically correct as possible.- She explains and I nod, keeping that information locked. .
Emily: Wait Mitchell? - I ask confused, since I know of a Mitchell in the Bellas and that is Beca, the creator of the Bella sound and a legend. -I thought that the only Mitchell in the Bellas was Beca.- I comment and the two laugh, but not in mockery or something like that.
Ashley: It was two years ago.- She tells me and I'm still confused. - Y/n is Beca's little sister, she is two years younger than her and I enter the Bellas as soon as I enter university.- she explains and I nod in understanding.
Emily: So Y/ n and Beca are real sisters.- I say to make the point clear and the two nod in confirmation.
Jessica: Yes, but they are completely the opposite of each other.- She assures me with a small smile. –While Y/n is more spontaneous, sentimental, fun and smiling; Beca is more serious, firm and only smiles when she is with her sister, Chloe , Amy or when one of us falls.- She tells me and starts laughing along with the other Bella.
Ashley: It's actually funny to see Beca all rude and serious at one point, but as soon as Y/n shows up and hugs her she's a total teddy bear.- She assures me and I can't help but smile imagining it.
I'm sure that Y/n's hugs are incredible, they are surely one of those that warm you up inside and make you feel safe. I bite my lip helplessly, imagining how it will feel to have Y/n come to your side and hug you.
Jessica: Then there is Cynthia Rose, she is very funny, somewhat rude and has an impressive voice.- she tells me excitedly.
Ashley: Really all of us have good voices, the best from my point of view are those of Cynthia , Y/n, Chloe and Beca to tell the truth.- She thinks and that makes me want to hear Y/n sing in some rehearsal with all my soul.
Jessica: Don't say we told you, but Cynthia in her first year told us that she had a gambling problem, when she left it with her girlfriend and started playing poker.- she tells me in a whisper and I open my eyes surprised.
Emily: But is she better now? - I ask a little worried, gambling is something very serious and destroys many lives.
Ashley: Yes, with the help of the Bellas she got ahead and hasn't played since first grade.- she answers me with a reassuring smile.
During the way to the trebels house . They keep telling me information and basic things about all the girls in the house. I have to admit that I have asked a lot about Y/n, trying to be as subtle as possible and thus avoid raising any suspicion.
Not that I like her or anything. It's just that Y/n makes me very curious and I'd like to know about her, before I talk to her and make a fool of myself in front of her.
Because I am very clumsy and somewhat shy, so ridicule is something that is almost guaranteed. But I don't want to make a fool of myself and let her see how clumsy I am the first time we talk. So I need as much information as possible that I can get, without my interest being too noticeable and girls thinking something it's not.

Tour Visit
Hailee Steinfeld x Fem!Reader
Word count: 659
Tumblr media
"Baby, I miss you"
Hailee tells her wife through the phone.
"I miss you too. You'll be home in a few weeks, though"
Y/n replies with a knowing smile.
"That's a long time to go without seeing you"
Hailee replies with a frown.
"I know. We've gone all these months, though. We'll be fine"
"I guess. I gotta go, baby. I love you"
Hailee tells the girl.
"I love you too"
Y/n replies before hanging up the phone. There's a knock on the door a few hours later and Y/n answers to see her mother in law.
"Cheri, hi!"
Y/n hugs her mother in law as she reciprocates it.
"Hi sweetie! Are you ready?"
"Yeah, of course! I haven't seen her in months"
"Are you gonna tell her about.. you know?"
Cheri points to the girls stomach.
"Um.. I dunno. I don't wanna distract her from her tour and if she found out she would just come back early"
Cheri agrees with the younger woman as they drive to the airport.
"Hailee knows your coming, right?"
Y/n asks her mother in law.
"Yeah, I didn't want to surprise her too much"
The girls talk until they reach the airport and the jet drops them off.
"Okay, so I'm thinking I go in first and then you walk in"
Cheri tells the younger woman as they stand outside Hailee's hotel.
"Yeah, that'll work"
Y/n smiles as Cheri knocks on the hotel room door.
"Mom, hi! I missed you!"
Hailee exclaims when she opens the door and envelopes her mother in a hug.
"I missed you too sweetie! I have a surprise for you"
Hailee raises her eyebrow and gives her mother a confused look before you walk into her line of sight.
"Baby! What are you doing here?! I thought you couldn't come!"
Hailee runs towards her wife and wraps her arms around her waist, pushing their lips together in a passionate kiss.
"I just missed you. You've been gone for months"
Y/n mumbles against her wife's lips.
"Are you okay? You seem different"
Hailee asks with a concerned look, finally pulling away.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired from the flight"
Y/n replies with a worn out look.
"Come to bed, baby. Go have a nap and I'll be there soon"
Y/n agrees and gives her wife one more kiss before going to the bedroom.
"What's really wrong with her?"
Hailee asks her mom when she's sure her wife can hear.
"It's not really my place to tell you. It's not bad news though. I promise"
Cheri replies and gives her daughter a hug and a kiss on the cheek before going to the spare room, giving room for her daughter and daughter in law to talk.
Hailee walks into her room and sees her wife already asleep. She crawls in next to her and wraps her arm around her waist before kissing her shoulder softly and going to sleep.
Hailee wakes to the sound of gagging in the bathroom, causing her to run in in a hurry.
"Y/n? Are you okay? Are you sick?"
She asks with worry evident in her voice as she pulls her wife's hair out of her face.
"I'm okay Haizy. I'm not sick, I promise"
Y/n reassures her wife with a smile.
"Then what's wrong? Please just tell me"
"I-I'm pregnant"
Y/n replies after a few seconds of hesitation. Hailee's face turns excited as she pulls her wife as close as possible as a few years run down her face.
"Are you serious? We're really having a baby?"
Hailee asks as she presses soft, loving kisses against her wife's neck.
"Yeah. We're really having a baby"
Y/n replies, letting out a few tears of her own.
The girls share a loving kiss, both of them oblivious to Cheri watching from the door with a soft, happy smile on her face.

EMILY JUNK x READER
YOU’RE MY FLASHLIGHT (PART 3)
Tumblr media
A/N: HELLO PEOPLE! Sorry for disappearing for so long, but studying is taking so much of my time and when I try to write something I fall asleep two seconds later from exhaustion lol.
Anyway, here we are! I hope you guys will like it!
Sending love ❤️
-
Summary: a deeper look into Y/N and Emily's friendship as the girls get ready for WORDLS. And they meet DSM.
Warnings: none.
Word count: 3247 words.
-
"Girls! We leave in 10! I want you all here in 5!" Chloe yelled from the bottom of the stairs to urge on the girls in their bedrooms getting ready. Beca was nowhere to be found, she saw her sprint up the stairs about an half an hour ago and was yet to be ready and here with her as her co-captain duties asked her to. The first to be ready and walked down the stairs was Y/N and the redhead wasn’t surprised at all, the girl loved to be ready on time and that was the best quality she adored about the new Bella. But what surprised her the most was seeing Stacie following her after. The tall blonde was renowned to be always the last one ready and they always had to wait at least half an hour when they had to go to a party. "Stacie, is that you?"
"Don’t pull any jokes cap, Y/N is simply rubbing off on me." Stacie smiled brightly when Y/N nodded proudly at her, so the blonde bumped their shoulders together. Soon after all the other girls started walking down into the living room, all ready to go to the DSM performance at a mall.
"Beca, please. Next time try to be on time." Chloe reprimanded good-naturedly at the brunette, who simply nodded embarrassed, before meeting her sister’s sympathetic gaze and grinned softly in return.
-
"Remember, we’re going to establish a contact to know their weak spots to use to our advantage." Chloe whispered conspiringly at them as they rode the escalator up to the second floor of the mall, before turning around when it was time to step away, rolling her blue eyes fondly when they settled on the blonde rubbing sexily on a car and letting strangers taking pictures of her, "Stacie." She reprimanded before walking away.
"Keep it in your pants baby." Beca added before following the redhead, the Bellas on their tail.
The only two separating from the group to pull Stacie away from that car were Y/N and Emily. The tall brunette watched with fondness the Y/H/C girl pushing people aside and yelling in authoritative voice, "okay people. Show is over. My client here is a renowned, well-know top model, so if you want to keep those pictures, you are going to pay for them. The payment will be endorsed by our agency, so please step over to be contacted soon."
Emily restrained herself to snort when she saw people immediately delete those pictures and walking away from them. When the two joined her back, she regarded Y/N with an amused look on her face, the sides of her lips curved up and her left eyebrow arched up in merriment. "I’m pretty sure this isn’t what usually happens. You can legally take photos of a top model without having to pay them." Emily had some trouble finishing her sentence without laughing, but she succeeded, snorting loudly only after speaking to the girls.
"Shh, people don’t need to know that, legacy!" Y/N whispered under her breath and linked her arms with the two tall girls before walking where the DSM performance was going to take place with big, carefree smiles gracing their faces.
-
The performance was… amazing. To say the least. Every single Bella tried to cover up their amazement and astonishment with rolling eyes and unamused frowns, that deepened as soon as the group approached them. Damn, their so tall and attractive.
Y/N listened only half of the awkward conversation her sister had with Kommissar, face slapping herself mentally when Beca made a total gay-fool of herself. Her ears then picked up when Pieter started making fun of Emily. "Hey, look at this giant. Do you even pass through doors or you just bump your forehead every time?" Emily’s frown created a crease between her eyebrows as she listened to the deep accent of their opponents, her eyes widening at the clear insult while a small pout stretched over her lips. "Mh, you look like a confused, lost fish. Maybe those hits on your forehead made you stupid."
"Hey Arschloch, sorry to bother you, but-" she started yelling to make fun of his height, "I don’t know if you can hear me over there, but worldwide this shirt is called a fishing net. Next time consult a dictionary or search online what a t-shirt is." Y/N clicked her tongue in satisfaction, linking her right arm with Emily’s left one and walked them away from DSM stunned from her comeback with a big, satisfied smile, hearing someone -probably Stacie or Amy - snapping their fingers to emphasize Y/N’s words before all the Bellas followed out of the big room and successively the mall. As they were outside in their parking lot, they drtatchec, reluctantly, their arms and stopped when all the girls patted on Y/N’s shoulder and complimented her for roasting their opponents since ‘Beca was doing a poor job’ as they put it.
"Hey, thank you for saving me up there. I didn’t know how to react. He was intimidating as he looked at me up and down." Emily hugged her from behind before falling into step with her once again.
"Don’t mention it. I know how people like him are with innocent, vulnerable people. They just need some roasting that embarrasses them in front of everyone from time to time to taste their own medicine. I’m happy to help you learning how to do that."
"Oh yes please!" Emily enthusiastically gripped the girl’s right arm and pulled her into her body, excitedly side-hugging her while the younger Mitchell laughed softly at the brunette’s cute reaction.
-
"Okay guys, listen up, Beca and Y/N are working on our set for WORLDS so for now we are going to work on our coordination. DSM are incredibly synchronized, we need to achieve that level!" Chloe haphazardly pointed with her hand on the board with DSM name written on it as the Bellas were sat all around her and listening to their co-captain closely with focused looks on. "Now, I want you to run 3 laps! GO, GO, GO!" The girls frantically sat up from their chairs and put them aside before starting their routine of running the perimeter of the auditorium.
At the end of their workout, they gathered their things and started walking out. Emily approached Y/N while she was stocking her computer and headphones in her backpack, "hey!"
"Hey Em!" Y/N replied excitedly and sending the tall brunette a bright smile over her shoulder before zipping up her bag.
"There workouts are really hard albeit useful, but we didn’t sing anything at all." Emily spoke with the softest voice Y/N ever heard and she was almost sure her insides just about melted at that cute tone.
"It’s my fault actually. Beca is busy with her classes but she started working on the setlist but I’m struggling with an English literature essay, so we didn’t find enough time yet to go over our setlist together and to create the perfect mashup for the Bellas to sing. Last night I started writing down a bit of the music arrangements but I fell asleep after the first few notes." Y/N admitted with a soft snort as she scratched her neck in regret but the melodic laugh following her statement almost made her loose her balance when the sound made her dizzy with her stomach doing somersaults.
"It’s okay. If you need some help, I would be glad to give it to you. I’m good in English literature and it would be a sort of repayment for my biology tutoring sessions." Emily stared with so much earnest in her eyes that Y/N almost felt overwhelmed at the sincere gesture.
"Thank you, really."
"It’s no problem. When is the delivery date?"
"Thursday at noon."
"Okay we have 4 more days to work on that essay. Let’s go, c’mon. You’re buying pizza." Emily told Y/N with a playful authoritative voice and pushed Y/N out of the auditorium before linking their arms together and trotting to the Bellas’ house to start their tutoring session.
"I like this bossy side of you, legacy." Y/N joked as she let being led by the tall brunette as warmth settled in her chest at the soft laugh leaving Emily’s mouth.
-
"Okay Em, this is an easy one. What are the differences between plant and animal cells?"
Emily thought about it, staring deeply into Y/N’s eyes full of encouragement and support, "mh, okay- one of the most important difference is that plant cells have a cell wall that provide them support give them shape, something that animals cells do not have."
"YES! You’re gonna do amazingly great in your test tomorrow!" Y/N interrupted Emily from continuing with her answer, knowing she knew the complete answer by heart, and threw her postcards with biology questions on it in the air and hugged Emily tightly. The gesture took Emily by surprise and made them fall on Y/N’s mattress with Y/H/C girl’s right on top of Emily with a small shriek, but when the brunette finally wrapped her brain around Y/N embracing her, she hugged her back just as tightly as excitement settled all over her body.
"Guys, we’re gonna start movie night, let- am I interrupting something?" Stacie opened their bedroom door and as soon as her eyes settled over the two girls splayed on Y/N’s bed, a smirk flitted over her lips and wiggled her eyebrows suggestively at them.
"We just finished studying- we’ll be down in a minute." Y/N disentangled herself from Emily and sat up as she cleared her throat to try to get over the embarrassment of getting caught in a compromising position even if her brain knew it was nothing remotely sexual. It was only the thought of Stacie’s endless teasing that was stressing her out. She stretched her hand out to help the brunette up, lingering her hand on Emily’s one a little too longer before pulling it away and walking towards the bedroom door, opening it and stepping aside, "legacies first." She joked and reveled in the soft giggle Emily emitted while passing Y/N and shoving her gently as she walked out of the room, Y/N falling close behind with a big, dumb grin on her mouth.
-
Halfway through the movie Y/N sat up to go into the kitchen and pour herself a glass of water, only for her to come back into the room with the girls hitting each other with pillows and laughing care-freely, "guys I left you for like 10 seconds!" Y/N snickered softly but happily accepted the pillow that Flo was offering her, merging into the pillow fight as her body filled with happiness for these dorky girls that her heart already grew fond of. A few moments later she was hit right in the face by a pillow, causing her hair to ruffle up as she stared ahead of her into space confused. Her eyes settled then to the figure laughing loudly beside her, "oh I see how it is, mh. It’s on Junk." Emily let out a cute shriek of surprise when Y/N hit her repeatedly on her back, trying to shield herself away from her and flailing blindly behind her with her pillow trying to hit her too but always missing her target. So then Emily dropped her pillow and tried to escape from Y/N’s attack, but the other girl was too fast. Y/N threw her pillow behind her and flung her arms around Emily’s waist to prevent her to run away, the quick movement causing them to fall down on the couch, Y/N right on top of Emily. Y/N lifted her head from Emily’s abdomen to stare into Emily’s magnetic brown eyes before both of them erupted in a loud laugh. "I would have never let you escape after what you did."
"Y’know Mitchell, you’re starting to become more overdramatic than your sister."
"It runs in the family, babe." Y/N realized how she called Emily only after winking at her. Then she was too much occupied to gulp in concern for saying more than she should have to notice Emily’s shy smile and the faintest of blushed appearing on her cheeks.
Emily opened her mouth to try to at least respond to that flirty remark, but she was interrupted by Beca now walking into the living room, causing both of the girls to stand up to hear what she has to say. "Guys, we have an invitation for a singing competition. Tonight."
"Do we have to sing?" When Beca simply nodded, Emily lifted her fist up in the air in victory and celebrated loudly, her happiness clearly showing, "finally!" She then turned around and high-fived Y/N, who reciprocated just as enthusiastically.
-
After they got ready, they all headed to the address specified on the envelope, everyone one excited to partecipate in this singing competition, especially Emily since this was her first performance with the Bellas.
"I’m so thrilled to sing with you guys tonight! All we do now is just workout!"
"Don’t remind me legacy! It seems like the redhead had gone crazy." Fat Amy patted Emily’s shoulder after she finished her excited speech, Chloe turning her head around in fake annoyance at the Australian messing around with her before resuming her step beside Beca on the front of the group.
After they entered the house and were welcomed by a really creepy guy, they were lead to an hallway, that was so very sketchy that Y/N flitted her eyes around to find a safe escape if they needed one. As soon as Beca opened the curtains in front of them, she sighed out loud in gratitude when her stray thought of being kidnapped after they fell for a stupid invitation was completely destroyed by the sight of all kinds of acappella groups gathered around the room. Emily noticed Y/N sighing out loud and smiled tenderly at her while she caressed the side of her arm gently.
"I had the same thought." Emily whispered into Y/N’s ear and heard the girl chuckle softly, "I was ready to put into action my non existent hand-to-hand combat skills."
They both shared a whispered laugh before they walked further into the room to mingle with the other groups there. "Hey Jesse!" Emily and Y/N stopped in front of Jesse and Benji, Y/N greeting the dark haired boy first, before waving at Benji. "Hey Benji! Guys have I introduced you to Emily? She is our new Bella."
"Yes, we met at the activities fair. It’s so nice to see you guys again." Emily spoke up with her signature cute, bright smile and waved at the two Treblemakers eagerly.
"I- S-S-I- H-" Benji stuttered with a dumb expression on his face, causing Y/N’s left eyebrow to arch in question.
"Is he okay?"
"H-Hi! It’s so see to you nice again." Benji furrowed his eyebrows at the his failed attempt in speaking, finding three pair of bemused expressions staring back at him. "It’s so nice to see you again." Benji corrected himself, before nodding in satisfaction for finally putting his brain into gear.
"Okay, I see now why he is your best friend." Y/N quipped as she tapped Jesse behind his back amused.
The two excused themselves and walked over their group as Emily and Y/N continued to talk to people from different groups. "Who do we have here? Bella’s’ fresh meat." Kommissar clapped her hands together and stared them down from head to toe. "Are you sure you two can sing?"
"I bet they just make squeaky sounds that they just call singing." Pieter butted in with a sneer on his face.
"Alright greased sauerkraut, first thing first you guys are terrible with your insults and second, why are you so obsessed with these strange fishnets shirts and showing your stomaches? I have abs better than his and I don’t put them on display every time like he does." Emily turned her head around at Y/N’s admission and her eyes involuntary fell down on the girls clothed torso. "Mh do you know what I think? I think you use your bodies to distract people from your poor excuse of your singing skills."
Fat Amy yelled a loud ‘bam’ and mimicked a mic drop as she shook a smug Y/N gently. Emily just now noticed all the Bellas gathered behind them and witnessed Y/N roasting their enemies once again with smug smirks on their faces and wiggling eyebrows. Emily dwelled just a second why she was so engrossed on Y/N’s talking about her body shape that she didn’t notice their friends approaching them, but her thoughts were interrupted by a loud voice echoing around the room through the speakers hung onto the walls. "You don’t scare me, you tall, perfect goddess who smells like cinnamon- damn it!" Beca slapped her forehead in frustration for complimenting Kommissar instead as they saw DSM walk away from them.
"Nice comeback sis. Next time try to take your gay panic down a notch." Y/N mocked Beca, chuckling a second after when Beca pushed her on the shoulder with a roll of her eyes but with an amused smile on her lips and a small, embarrassed blush on her cheeks, before they focused on listening the competitions rules.
-
"Chloe please, she already apologized like a hundred times. It wasn’t her fault." Y/N interjected as they all walked into their living room. The riff off didn’t go too well and they lost their opportunity to beat DSM before WORLDS. "We just need to work harder and to have our revenge." Y/N caressed Emily’s shoulder in reassurance, the brunette smiling at her in appreciation and pushed herself into Y/N’s body for more comforting.
"You’re right. I’m sorry, for being so harsh. Now let’s take some rest. We are going to plan our next move."
They all went separate ways for the evening, Y/N opting to change into a pair of black sweatpants and a green Barden university hoodie before opening her laptop and working on their setlist and a few mashups before going to bed. She was putting her headphones on when a soft knock on the door pulled her attention from her laptop to settle on the shy brunette fidgeting on the doorstep. "Hey Em."
"Hey. Are you busy?"
"No, I was starting on a few mashups of our setlist. Wanna help me?" Y/N smiled encouragingly at the girl, who reciprocated the gesture with a small, shy grin, before nodding and closing the door behind her. She walked further into the room and sat on Stacie’s empty bed since Stacie stayed at a friend’s dorm to start working on a chemistry project.
"I don’t bite miss Junk." Y/N cracked a joke hoping to ease the brunette’s nerves, smiling in victory when she saw Emily emit a soft chuckle while sitting up from Stacie’s bed and walking towards Y/N, mimicking Y/N and laying down with her back on the bedpost right beside her before looking down at the laptop. "Here." Y/N stretched her arm to open her bedside drawer and pulled out another pair of headphones and connected them to the laptop. Emily took the headphones from Y/N’s hands - Y/N dwelled on the jolt of electricity running from their fingers touching down to her toes for just a second - with a tentative grin and pushed on Y/N’s shoulder with her own.
"Show me what you got Mitchell."

[Y/N's POV]
The next day arrived, today is the day I move in with Hailee. I already packed my bags earlier this morning again, I looked at Jackie with a smile on her face and gave her a tight hug "Girl, don't be sad, at least we live in the same state now." I reassured her as she fake cries. Jackie pulls away from her and laughs "I know, I am just being very dramatic and besides, West Hollywood and Malibu is a 40 minute drive. You can visit anytime you want." Jackie told me "Hailee isnt expecting you to show up, that quick right?" Jackie asks me as I reached for the door. I respond with a shrug "Eh, better to be early.", Jackie grabs my wrist all of a sudden which made my eyes widen. "You good?" I ask her with a confused tone, Jackie told me to sit down on the couch with her for a bit.
"Yeah, It's just that I've been hearing something online about Hailee... you know... Keeping a secret from the general public?" Jackie said, as much as I love Jackie, she's my best friend, I will jump off a tall building and sell my organs for that woman... There are times that she relies on random and odd stuff on the internet, especially engaging in blind item pages like Deuxmoi. I furrow my brows, oblivious on what Jackie was telling me "What do you mean? Also what did I tell you interacting with those pages?" I said in a very motherly tone despite the fact that Jackie is two years older than me.
"Heard it from Deuxmoi before you got here, someone said that Hailee Steinfeld is hiding a secret from the public and only her manager knows about it." Jackie says, and then gasps "Do you think she's pregnant?"
"GIRL WHAT THE FUCK?!?" I yelled "You've been on Deuxmoi way too much! We both know that site is like the fifth? or lower circle in hell, you know what Tree Paine did when Deuxmoi went after Taylor Swift, right? Also we don't know these people personally!" I said, I let out a sigh and rubbed my temples, going silent for a while. "Look, whatever that is... I won't believe it." I said standing up, putting my hands up with a smile on my face.
Jackie smiles back, understanding what I just told her "Alright, but you know I am just one call away and we can meet up like once or twice a week." Jackie said, standing up again and giving me a hug. I hug Jackie back and nodded "Yeah, just message me if ever." I said, grabbing my bags and finally leaving the apartment.
Forty minutes later, I finally arrived at Hailee's lavish looking house located in Malibu. The house looked amazing from the outside and made me think what's in store inside as well, I parked my car somewhere and grabbed my bags from the trunk. I walked up to the front porch and rang the doorbell, waiting for her to open the door.
Seconds later, she opens the door for me. Hailee is wearing a pair of black yoga pants, a pair of sneakers and a black sports bra that shows off those toned abs of hers that makes me weak on my knees. She looks so hot, my heart starts racing and a lot of thoughts run through my mind seeing her like that. But I still kept my normal posture in tact to be a little bit professional "Hey, you're here! Come on in." Hailee says, inviting me to enter the house.
I enter the house with my bags and I look around the place in awe, I knew that her house would look this good even though I've never seen the whole thing. "I'm sorry if I look like this, I just finished working out." Hailee says, leading me to her living room "Make yourself comfortable, Y/N." Hailee says again, I nod with a smile on my face and I sat down on her couch. I just stare at her walk to her kitchen as she grabs a bottle of cold water from her freezer, the way I look at her is filled with admiration and adoration. My little moment was broken when all of a sudden I heard two high pitched barks, I look down to see her yorkies Brando and Martini looking at me, their tails wagging in sync.
"Oh my goodness, are these Brando and Martini?" I say, smiling at the dogs having some second thoughts if I should pet them both, I am a huge dog person but I have a huge fear of dogs biting me. "Yep, in the flesh! Don't worry they don't bite, they're super friendly." Hailee says, heading to the couch to sit next to me. Hailee puts Brando on my lap and he starts to lick my fingers, which caused me to chuckle and gently pet his head "He's starting to like you, are you a dog person?" Hailee asks. I nod in response as I kept petting Brando while Martini is lying down on my shoe "I have a German Shepard in Washington, his name is... Well... It's a ridiculous name." I said, trying to keep up with an actual conversation with Hailee.
"Well, what's the name of your dog then?" Hailee asks, her hazel eyes looking into mine. I swear, I get lost in those eyes every time.
"His name is... Sir Tenderloin McAvish the Second... We call him Tendy for short." I answered, Hailee starts to burst out laughing once I told her the name of my family's dog. Her laugh is so contagious, it made me laugh as well "I am dead serious, that's his name." I said, pulling my phone out and showing a photo of Tendy to Hailee. "He's a rescue dog, we got him back in 2003. He's like a big baby." I said, showing her a photo of me and carrying Tendy like a baby. Hailee laughs and smiles at the photo of me and my dog, zooming in the photo to see him up close.
"Well you're not wrong Y/N, I treat these two like they're my own children. Oh wait, that reminds me... Come, I'll show you your room." Hailee says, standing up from the couch. I gently put Brando down on the floor again and watch him run around the living room with Martini, I picked my bags up and followed Hailee upstairs. I continued to admire the interior design of Hailee's house, it looks cozy and comfortable. "Alright, we're here." Hailee says, opening the door of my room for me. I entered the room and looked around, I have a comfortable bed and my own bathroom and TV.
I sat down on the edge of the bed and looked at her "Thanks, your place is cool. Who's your interior designer?" I asked, Hailee leans against the door frame, crossing her toned arms. "My mom, she's the best." Hailee chuckles and looks at me, "Well I gotta say, your mom is cool. Quick question, have you ever done this before with your past assistants?" I ask, Hailee shook her head in response "Nope, most of my old personal assistants are people older than me cause you know I started this whole acting and music thing at a young age..." Hailee answers, taking a sip of water from her water bottle.
"So I am the first assistant to stay in your place then?" I asks, with a little hint of casualness.
"Yeah, I feel like you're going to be an assistant that will last long." Hailee responds, winking at me with a smirk on her face "Anyway, if you need anything else. Just let me know, this is your home now... Well once you get a place of your own." Hailee says, closing the door of my room.
I flopped down on the bed, lying on my back as I stare at the ceiling, letting out a sigh. Everything is happening all at once, it feels overwhelming but in a very positive manner to say the least. I furrow my brows a bit, looking back as I was looking around the place before heading to my room earlier.
There was this room at the end of the hallway and it was dark, I didn't ask Hailee about it because it might come off as invasive and I might lose my job. So I just quickly assumed it was a storage room, or a room that has her awards, or a room that has one single box that has her scrapped music or that damn album everyone in the fandom is waiting for. Whatever lies in that room, I'll just ignore it and focus on one thing and one thing only. My job as Hailee's assistant.

Word count: 2k words
[Y/N POV]
Few days have passed since I've moved from Washington to California for this job and stay with Jackie temporarily, I didn't realize that living with your friend could be this fun. I've never had any roommates or anything when I was living in Washington and studying, well I have Kelly who visits me from time to time but things get a little bit lonely when you're not with people. For my case, not anymore.
Jackie and I spent our days going out to eat, look around the city, and talk about stuff that we needed to catch up on before the big day, which is me starting my job as Hailee's personal assistant. I still like to think that this whole ordeal is a fever dream, cause there is no  way in hell or heaven that I got a job as her personal assistant. And of course, I decided to dress nice even though Laura didn't e-mail me about the dress code, I still need to look my best when I am face to face with Hailee Steinfeld. I put on a pair of slacks and a pair of black high heels and a while long sleeve button down shirt, my hair is down and I added some light make up and  jewelry to make myself a little bit mature and presentable.
"So how do I look?" I asked Jackie, a smile forms on Jackie's face seeing how well  put my outfit is "You look amazing! One more thing." Jackie says, standing up from the couch to roll my sleeves up so my forearms are exposed "Better, you look like a Victorian boy with the sleeves down. And I bet it's gonna turn your boss off." Jackie says, jokingly which I rolled my eyes and gently slapping her arm.
"Jackie, I am not there to turn my boss on." I said, chuckling as I straightened my clothes. I checked my phone and my eyes widened to see that it's already 9:25 am, Laura expects me to be at the building around 10:30 am. I start to panic and pace around to grab the essentials that I needed from the counter top, which concerned Jackie a little bit "Y/N, you good?" She asks me.
"I just realized that it's already 9:25, Laura expects me to be there around 10:30." I explained to Jackie, Jackie walks up to me again and asks me "Do you want me to drive you to the office?" Thank God, I became friends with this woman from stan twitter. If I wasn't friends with Jackie, I'd be living on the street by now. "Please!" I said in a dramatic tone, making us both laugh.
Jackie didn't bother glamming up, since she's just gonna drop me off the building I will be meeting Hailee. Jackie just threw in a pair of sweatpants underneath her old gym shorts and a jacket, she grabbed her keys, phone, and wallet patting my back "Alright, I'm set. Let's roll." Jackie says heading out of the apartment, and I followed suite.
After braving the Los Angeles traffic, and a few road rages from Jackie here and there, we managed to arrive at the building at around 10:25. I wouldn't say it was picture perfect but, at least I am not late. I got out of Jackie's car and stared at the huge building in front of me, I turned around and waved goodbye to Jackie before she headed back to her apartment.
My hands start to shake and my legs start trembling, I can already feel the nervousness rushing through my veins as I look at the building right in front of me. I take a deep breath and proceed to enter the building. I walked up to the front desk with a confident smile on my face, my eyes fixate on the name plate the front desk lady has and back at her "Hi, I am here to see Laura McKinnon?" I said in a costumer service-y voice.
When all of a sudden, this woman came out of the elevator, she's blonde and has green eyes, and is also wearing something that a mix of casual and corporate. She's walking up to me with a warm smile on her face, turns out that woman is Laura "Y/N, it's nice to meet you in person. Miss Steinfeld is already expecting you, follow me." Laura told me as I follow her to the elevator, once we were at the elevator, Laura presses a button that leads us to the 12th floor of the building.
As Laura and I arrived at the 12th building, she lead me down the hallway and made me stop outside the door of an office which I assume it's Hailee's. "Wait here for a while Miss Waldorf." Laura says, as she enters the office. I stood there for at least thirty seconds, and after waiting Laura came out of the office "She's ready to see you now." Laura said with a smile on my face as she left.
I took another deep breath and reached for the door knob, twisting it as I enter the office. Once I was there, I was greeted by none other than Hailee Steinfeld sitting on an office chair with a smile on her face, holy hell she's very pretty up close. "You must be Y/N Waldorf." She says, with that smooth sounding voice that will get me weak on my knees in a matter of seconds but I have to be on my best impression and not say anything out of pocket. "Yes, I am Y/N Waldorf. It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Steinfeld." I said, trying my best to be confident in front of this gorgeous woman.
Hailee smiles at me and chuckles "Have a seat." She said, gesturing towards the chair across her. I walked up to the chair and sat down, my eyes are now looking into her hypnotizing hazel eyes which caused me to twiddle my thumbs under the desk. "So tell me about yourself, I like to get to know people a little more." Hailee said, I cleared my throat and fixed my posture before I start to speak.
"Well I just graduated college a few months ago, I am born and raised in Washington and I drove all the way from Washington to California... And I live with my friend who I met on Twitter because we are such big fans of you." I said, smiling at Hailee hoping to break the ice between us. Hailee chuckles again, this is the second time I made this woman smile already... I think she likes me.
"You're so dedicated Y/N, just what I need for my team. Also how long have you been a fan of me? Just curious." Hailee asks, the smile not leaving her face. I chuckle and smile at her "Well ever since I've watched The Edge of Seventeen, I loved you as Nadine and yeah... Never looked back ever since." I answered as I keep that smile on my face. Hailee nods, leaning back her chair "Interesting, I love that. Y/N quick question, how long have you been staying with your friend?" She asks, leaning in closer to me, resting her elbow on the desk and her chin on the palm of her hand.
"For almost a week now, I am apartment hunting right now and all I can say is that living in LA is kind of expensive." I say, Hailee chuckles as she moves a strand of hair away from her face "I agree, as time flies the rent in Los Angeles gets higher. I don't blame you, this along with New York, are the cities for dreamers so there are a lot of people living here. Speaking of, do you want to live with me for the mean time?" Hailee asks me her eyes twinkling.
I froze for a second, did Hailee Steinfeld ask me if I can stay with her at her house? In Malibu?!? I looked around my surroundings and looked back at Hailee "Are you serious?" I asked her, hoping she was joking or not. "I am being serious, after all I need to be close with my personal assistant and you won't worry about being late. So what do you say Y/N?" Hailee asks me again, this time a warm smile forming on her face. A smile formed on my face and I nod "Sounds good to me, when do I move in?" I ask her, Hailee leans back again and sighs "Well, how does tomorrow sound? We got some serious business to deal with tomorrow." She asks me back, raising a brow.
"Tomorrow sounds good." I respond, smiling at her with pride as I slowly but surely get used to her now "I am glad to be on this journey with you, Miss Steinfeld." I say, Hailee laughs and shakes her head, she stands up from her chair and I follow suite. "Please, Y/N. Just call me, Hailee instead." Hailee said, extending her arm out for me to shake. I grabbed her hand and I felt how soft and smoot her hand is, which made my heart skip a beat, I shook her hand and gave her a stern nod. "Yep, I'll keep a note on that." I said, letting go of her hand. Hailee smirks and winks at me "Welcome aboard Y/N." She said.
After that, I decided to take an Uber back to Jackie's place. I still can't get over all of this happened today, it still felt like a dream and I can't believe that this job will be the one that will probably change my life for the better.
"Wait, you're gonna live with Hailee?!?" Jackie exclaimed as she grabs a bag of chips from her pantry, I smiled and nodded as she sat down next to me "Yeah, insane right? She said that she wanted me to move in with her." I said, still shocked as I grabbed a handful of chips from Jackie. "You are basically living every fans life, and I am jealous! But at the same time proud of you." Jackie pats my shoulder, putting her arm around me as we binged watch Parks and Recreation.
[HAILEE'S POV]
I had dinner with my manager Laura to discuss things after I met my personal assistant, I sit down across her as our food was served by the server. "Hailee, we need to discuss about your bold move of moving Y/N in your house." Laura said, I furrowed my brows at her words, tilting my head in confusion. "What do you mean by that Laura? I am just doing an act of kindness towards my new personal assistant." I said taking a sip of my beverage and putting it down, Laura sighs as she rubs her temples "I get that, I think it's a good idea. I don't have a problem with that, but however... What if she knows about your secret?" Laura says opening up about the secret.
I swallowed hard, looking around if someone is hearing our conversation "Laura, I've known Y/N just today, I rest assure you that she is a trustworthy assistant. And I bet she won't know what I do behind closed doors." I reassured my manager, I have a feeling that my assistant will not be a huge tattletale despite the fact I've known her already after my conversation with her earlier in my office. "Alright, I trust you on this one." Laura told me, chuckling as she takes a sip of her drink. I smiled at Laura, this woman has been my manager ever since I was a little girl, she's like my second mother at this point "Thanks, Laura." I said as we continued to have dinner. Excited for Y/N to move in with me and start to do some serious business together.
