Hi there, I'm a big Pietro Maximoff fan and most recently I heard he has a new love interest. Like he's officially dating Penance. I'm happy for him of course but I'm kind of confused... What happened with Emily? The last time I saw her was in Quicksilver No Surrender and I'm a little disappointed their relationship didn't continue. They were kind of cute together.

I'm really disappointed at how Pietro has been treated throughout the comics and media so I really hope this new relationship lasts longer. He deserves to be happy..but I'm trying not to get my hopes up given how he's been treated and his past relationships.

Emily/Pietro was such a cute couple! I miss her and wish Marvel would bring her back but unfortunately it seems that Marvel refuses to do anything with the NuInhumans these days.

Monet was not someone I ever thought of for a relationship with Pietro but I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy it so far. Hopefully writers continue to develop it but yeah we Quicksilver fans have been disappointed a lot in the past so its hard to feel too happy about it.

The real issue is of course how Marvel refuses to give Pietro enough page time in comics, he was in comic limbo for years because Marvel doesn't think he's as important as Wanda or Magneto, the retcon really hurt Pietro's character the most because it killed his development as a character and his struggles with family/self identity. Hopefully the Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver series brings us more Pietro comics, even a stand alone series in the future.

So I guess Pietro broke up with Synapse given that he kissed Monet in Uncanny Avengers?? Comic writers act like they only have to keep track of one romance in this family and it's Billy/Teddy

Emily and Pietro have technically been broken up since the end of Jim Zub's run on Uncanny Avengers, back in 2018. They were reunited during the No Surrender event, and they even shared a tearful farewell kiss before Pietro sacrificed himself-- or so everybody believed-- to destroy the Grandmaster's beacon.

Emily is present in the background of Quicksilver: No Surrender, helping Wanda and Jericho save Pietro from the temporal plane he's trapped in, but she doesn't get any lines, and Pietro seems resigned to fact that their relationship is over.

Since then, the Inhumans have all but vanished off the face of the Earth, as Marvel editorial has pretty much shelved the entire franchise. Maybe if that hadn't happened, Emily would still be getting page time, but as it is, she's been absent from comics for about five years now. Jim Zub definitely left the door open for her and Pietro to get back together, but it never happened.

Match Review: Chelsea Women 1-0 Manchester United Women

Well that was gash.

I don't even really want to review this. Turgid football from a manager who is deceiving the masses. We're fifth, it's our first league defeat of the season, it was a penalty... sounds okay, no? No.

We signed Melvine Malard permanently this summer, a similar style of striker to Terland who we also brought in. Elisabeth's injured, so do we start Mel? No, we start ageing forward Rachel Williams to spearhead the attack against the best team in the league. I like Rach, but she's an impact sub, come on.

Bizet can play LW and RW, and Geyse has been on fire RW, so we start her on the left. Lodgik. Janssen as CDM again, when she's an elite CB and Turner was always going to get ruined by Ramirez. Simi Awujo on her debut season in against the best midfield in the league when she still has to round her game out re: passing range and possession play. Okay.

So yeah, United had 2 DMs, no midfield control, no real possession or chance creation, and were fortunate to lose just 1-0. Chelsea had more chances than the 6-0 thrashing at Old Trafford last May - and I was at that abhorrent match. Also, more chances when we're playing more defensive? That worked well, didn't it...

Hayley Ladd and Anna Sandberg's late subs were an insult, and subs for the sake of token minutes. Leah Galton and Malard came on earlier and made more sense, but United's central lack of presence and control made their introductions irrelevant. United didn't look scared, but we looked devoid of ideas, and that falls on the manager. Hinata Miyazawa and Hayley Ladd were perfect for the midfield and an elite opposition. Maturity, composure when pressed, and the right traits for playing between the lines and giving our wide players and striker a chance at causing Chelsea problems.

And then in terms of the actual game, Phallon made a mistake trying to cover for Awujo's error and bam, penalty and a yellow card. Then almost saved Reiten's spot kick. Sucks but hey ho, it wasn't a drubbing so we move on. Maybe we can keep the form going and do something with our season. I don't want to be one of those "I hope we lose so we sack the manager" types. I love our team. I just dislike a jackass leading the way and criminally under-utilising people, when we've seen it repeatedly already.

Jackie Groenen was let go to PSG and told she couldn't say goodbye to the squad.

Promising Scotland winger Kirsty Hanson found little gametime, got loaned and then sold to Villa.

Diehard red and England youth international Emily Ramsey was let go, again getting no minutes and no promises for future gametime.

Vilde Bøe Risa was also traded out, despite being class.

Irene Guerrero, a World Cup winner, got little time after injury to get back into the United team and was shipped out - telling reporters how she often cried at Carrington because of the manager.

There's no doubting that being the boss is stressful, and that having fans scrutinise everything is rough - especially when we're doing quite well as I say - but this is a man who lacks ideas, is too stubborn (or unimaginative) to change his team around and be inventive with strategy, and lacks class. In both senses of the word.

We won't win the WSL with him at the helm, and I really hope we get our Jonas moment sooner rather than later.

i keep thinking about pietro and emily and about how i can't remember a single panel of crystal reassuring pietro and holding him with tenderness, but i can remember about how much pietro admired emily, how gently they held each other and the understanding emily offered him while never taking away his accountability. like yes they didn't have many issues together and they were never the focus, yet their relationship had a genuine care and evolution, a development so subtle but yet it is there. it's always there.

i was re-reading some issues and i came to the conclusion that pietro maximoff and emily guerrero are soulmates and i chose to believe that they live together in a nice apartment with mr dibbles. pietro always cooks breakfast because he likes having stuff to do, and emily always cooks lunch and dinner( sometimes pietro prefers to be the one cooking ). they slow-dance together every now and then, emily giggling and pietro pretending to think it's silly but actually finding it adorable. them cuddling on the couch and falling asleep on each other's arms. going out with luna every weekend.

Chapter 52: The Secrets of the Red Woman

The red woman's office was located on the third floor underground of the Winter Hogwarts dungeons. If the rest of the building was dark and dark, that entire corridor was simply terrifying, crossed by torches with blood-red light that reached up to the ceiling, creating shapes among the almost demonic shadows. A few minutes earlier there had been a loud noise coming from the main hall, and from under the invisibility cloak + the two Slytherins had seen the red woman coming out of her office escorted by Stannis Baratheon with his usual long face.

"See? I told you the rune would work…" Emily giggled in amusement, then opened the office door with the simple touch of her hand. Eddie was too shocked to say a word.

Inside the office it was full of junk, almost all red, including various ancient armor probably belonging to some fallen soldier of the Lucha, the legendary warriors of Sothoryos who fought one of the first magical wars. On the desk in the center of the room, which upon closer inspection looked more like an altar, stood a book with the writing "Notes on the Apocalypse".

"In my opinion it's a trap." said Eddie, who knew something about traps, but by now Emily had taken the book and opened it.

It was a trap, in fact from the book a face materialized and contorted in an inhuman scream, but Emily gave him "ssh, sssh", a red light in her eyes, and immediately the book calmed down.

The red woman's handwriting was almost illegible, so much so that for a moment they suspected that she didn't really know how to write, but with varying difficulty she could make out a few sentences.

"Robert Baratheon, black hair… no this has nothing to do with it, let's see… The last of the seals of the Apocalypse… it was the horse beyond the barrier, and who cares… we were attacked by of the Winter King's henchmen, and oh well… wait, here he is: we have found the prophet of the Lord of Lucha… he is a young centaur named Rey Mysterio… he must have been transformed as the chosen one… He must be our long-awaited savior."
