What seems to be the worst and most consistent joke of Ezra's life, has to be Nick, and his goddamn love for cops.

The man had known it was a mistake to offer his company for a school trip. Playing the role of the single, happily engaging parent, wasn't as easy when the trip included visiting a police station.

Not as a criminal. That meant nervous breakdowns every five seconds when his kid opened his mouth. And as much as he loved Nick -- that goddamn kiddo never stopped talking.

It's all decent, until Ezra's personalized nightmare in person shows up behind a corner, and the prayers he prays are as desperate as they possibly could be. (The silent woah Nick lets out makes his back hurt. Badly.)

"You're a real cop!", the boy exclaims while patting his little badge, which is a gift from Flynn, "Me too!" -- and Ezra's head starts to hurt, too. "Don't you think firefighters are much cooler?", he asks, petting the boys head (and he says it loud enough for Emilio to hear).

Emilio's presence will always leave a strange burn in his chest -- Ezra has so far only been able to define it as pure misery. If he had known there this would lead, when he had been a teenager... "Uniform looks cooler, too."

The constant background noise (which Kian has decided to label their guide as), is causing him a headache as he is trying to figure out security risks that might cause issues at the MET gala. It's too late for his liking, and he had his last coffee three hours ago. Three whole hours.

Sparing glances at his watch, Kian looks over at Emilio, seeking for similar distaste in his features as one of the younger officers in front of him almost stumbles over an expensive carpet, close to taking Kian out right with him. Kian smoothly grabs his arm and sends him a glare, to which the officer responds to with multiple muttered excuses.

"Do you think we can use one of the security risks as an escape from this, too?", Kian mutters in Emilio's direction, "I need a damn coffee." And hearing the news of Emilio's son being arrested, Kian is sure the man needs one, too.

Bridget took a deep breath as looked at the stall and made sure everything looked okay. She wanted things to be perfect and she spent the week baking and planning for this. She had her employees finishing a few things and she went to the delivery van to get some of the treats she had made. She grabbed a few and started heading back when she tripped over something and one of the containers fell. "Shit." She groaned, and tried to figure out how to get them. "Hey, can you help?"

— ONE POLICE PLAZA ; EVENING

The day had been another eventful one. A press conference in the morning, paperwork for several hours in the early afternoon, and a meeting with his staff to finish it all off. There were other several pressing matters on Rowan’s mind- some that had newly manifested and some that had been plaguing him for a while- and trying to figure them all out had gotten his mind in a twist and had made him lose all sense of time. Before he knew it then sun was setting and the dark of night was closing in.

Rowan loved New York at night. He loved the way all the different coloured lights stood out so brightly against the shadows, twinkling in the ripples of the Hudson River, and how the landing lights of planes glided over the skyscrapers on their way to either of the major airports. The city that never sleeps may be so, but it was certainly capable of winding down and taking it easy for a few hours. Despite this, though, Rowan knew that crime increased at night and was something he hoped he could change. Eventually.

He heard footsteps advancing towards the office and after a knock on the door, Rowan gazed up from his desk to see Emilio: his right-hand and most trusted ally.

“Hey,” he greeted with a warm smile. “I wasn’t expecting you to still be here.”

bryn hadn't been expected to be woken up from his slumber so harshly. bryn's magic flared out defensively, but the other man had a strong grip on him already that he couldn't seem to peel him away. "what...what the hell are you doing?!" bryn hissed as he tried to wiggle and get away, although he gasped as he found his hips being bulled back as the other slammed right into his ass.

bryn never thought that sex could feel this good. as the other roughly pounded into him and caused his bed to groan with every thrust, bryn never thought that he would find himself in this situation where he was practically squealing in desire. "so...so freaking big..." bryn panted as he tried to keep his wits about him, but fuck...the way he was being fucked? he was getting closer and closer to being 'fucked stupid' with every thrust.

THEMATIC HEADCANONS. @cartelheir : hc + 👪 for a family-themed headcanon

Here's a few headcanons about the Ferraro/Esparza family because I had ~more than one~:

Despite Catarina's request to Jaime to keep Avian away from Che, Jaime & Che communicated more than Jaime would like to admit. Because Jaime knew Che had an inheritance waiting for Avian for when she gets older, Jaime ended up being a puppet to Che's request - more specifically, helping to be an "on-call" doctor for Che's more unsavory business connections. While Che hated Jaime and all he stood for, Che knew Jaime was the best doctor in the states, and Che wasn't going to waste a good resource. So, as long as Jaime played fiddle to Che's business partners' request, Che will keep his distance from Avian. That was until Jaime died, of course.

While Avian did not know about Che for the majority of her childhood + adolescence, Che always knew about her (through Jaime) and often talked about Avian to his business partners. It's very likely he has introduced Avian to his partners under "Avian Ferraro" vs Jaime's surname, specifically because Che knows his name carries more worth than Jaime will ever have. Esparza was New Money, the Ferraros are Old Money.

Avian noticed a considerable shift in other's perception & respect towards her after being more connected to her uncle Che. Growing up under the "Esparza" name garnered her a lot of disrespect and people turning their nose up to her - seeing her more of a "wannabe" than truly wealthy like the rest of them (which is why her private school days were the worse time for her). When she started affiliating with her uncle more after her father's passing... when people start acknowledging she's part of the "Ferraro" family, that's when people around her start to see her as an opportunity than a burden.

Adding to that, the Ferraros are a long-standing business/crime family that has been going on for generations at this point, originally starting in Italy as early as the 1700s. Outward facing, the Ferraros' are business tycoons in the hospitality/hotel industry, which Che is the head of the family at this moment for their North America/South America expansion project. Behind the scenes, they're the biggest Europe/America Trafficking unit on what's profitable at the moment. Currently, it's drugs & weaponry.

BONUS NOTE: The Ferraro family is closely aligned to another crime family based in Spain (the Viragos). Recently, the Virago family has since distanced themselves from the crime world and have been riding off their own wealth and network connections. How they maintain their wealth, however, is marrying their children into the Ferraro family (or into their other business partners families). Che's lawyer & personal friend, Nick Virago, was supposed to marry Catarina to continue this history, but clearly, Avian's mother ran off with someone else.

The next round with the Hunts starts with new family members. Katri had visitors from outer space last round, and the consequences have now started to show. Emilio also finishes building his first servo, who gets activated immediately. The robot gets the label HFS-001 (Hunt Family Servo), and their nickname is Hi-fi.

Katri gets a few promotions in the architecture career track, while officially unemployed Emilio focuses on his robotics shop. Hi-fi is a great help with building the robots and helping with the customers.

Emilio and Katri get married before Katri gives birth, so the entire family shares the same surname. Once Katri gives birth to baby Remember, Hi-Fi becomes her nanny, allowing Emilio to focus on his business.

Remember has inherited the PT's looks entirely, but I am so excited about those EARS! I've never had a sim with ears like that!

002.  EXTRAORDINARY

near death experience… 

It was a routine expedition, up to the space station for three months to bring up supplies for those living aboard and aid in repairs of some of the solar panels. it was a trip she'd taken before easily. The readings on the board were wrong; she knew it⸻ years of knowing what to look for. So, she voiced her concerns to mission control. but they reassured her and her crew nothing was wrong. they had barely made out for the stratosphere when the explosion happened. it was slow motion, could feel her body heating up and freezing at once as she and her crew were ejected into space. images of her child flashing before her- the life she would miss- a life she could have had with Emilio. reconciliation with her sister.

So many possibilities. so much that could be changed just in reach. and she reached for it. her arm stiff as if rigor mortis had set in. but she touched the mot of possibility, and was pulled towards the light. Morion isn't sure how it was possible not in the moment, but in one instance she was dead or dying and in the next, she was back in her seat on the shuttle. going over the system check. was she losing her mind, had she hallucinated her death? it felt too real and she could see it... the wheel of time, the possibilities calling to her- thing golden strings of space and time at her fingertips. They didn't go on that mission, five lives had been saved that day including her own. But what would it mean for the future? She doesn't know, she's still trying to figure it out.

power… 

Marion has the ability to manipulate space and time. to see the possibilities of the future as you will which is ever-changing. the time wheel is her window to these fractions in time- which she can step into - not that she has but she could. To control space-time is to alter the fabrics of reality & the very existence itself, allowing one to erase existences and not just the flow of time, heavy stuff... and how she saved hers and her crew's lives.

drawbacks / vulnerabilities… 

There are consequences to everything. when you start to manipulate the strands of time- those consequences can be detrimental. for every change that Marion has made up to this point- there has been a catastrophic consequence though it might not be directed at her the effects ripple. So she doesn't go messing with space and time often only when dire when her conscience calls to it. it feels very much like playing god - and she hates it. during her accident, the crew was bringing up a new substance, or the space station team to experiment on a mineral called IRIDIUMS-163 - in the hopes of figuring out the possibilities and uses for the substance. however during the the explosion, Marion and possibly others were exposed to high heated levels of this mineral and it had negative effects on her. In close proximity, she starts to feel sick, but when she comes in physical contact it causes rippling pain. cause her to lose control of her time wheel- those strands of time lashing out in every which way but allowing another to travel through space and time with her as an unwilling conduit. Needless to say, she needs to run more tests to find out the scope of her power and the drawbacks and vulnerabilities she has. which she does in her private lab at home.

003.  EXTRA TDLR;

⸻ Marion hasn't been the most enthusiastic when it comes to her powers. She often tries hard not to use them; until she can understand them fully. It has very much been trial and error -- lots of tests in her own personal lab. she's seen what happens to those with these ' gifts'. she has yet to see an upside to them. the exception being her and her crew beating death. ⸻ She does not trust Cerberus corp, and not just because her ex-husband works there if anything she worries for him. there is an innate distrust of the organization and the image it promotes. they seem far too invested in the lives of the extraordinary and it comes off disingenuous. She doesn't want them to know about her or her abilities⸻ but she fears it is already too late for that. ⸻ Marion hates... hates CLEANING. Not that she won't do it but she does have a maid that comes twice a month for a deep cleaning. this being said, if you ever see Marion ⸻sleeves rolled up as she scrubs the floors, or the window and vigorously sweeps and or vacuuming? DEFCON 10 stay away.

WANTED CONNECTION

Team Scorpius: this is the team she was with during the explosion. They could have been affected and changed in ways like her or they could have. be living normal lives in their new reality. Maybe one of them is a villain now that could push her to become a hero... the possibilities are endless. playlist : coming soon !!

near death experience…  emilio didn’t grow up in the greatest neighborhood. it was definitely a low income community and his parents had too many kids to keep track of. he quickly found himself running with the wrong crowd of people and started to find himself in more and more trouble as the days passed. after one particular outing with his friends not long after his fifteenth birthday, they ended up fighting a group of men much older than they were. none of them really stood a chance against these men and it was only over something as dumb as one of his friends took their son’s bike. the fight seemed to last forever and once emilio fell to the ground, the beating didn’t stop. next thing he knew, the world went black. emilio didn’t know how long he was out for but he woke up in the hospital a week later just to learn that his heart had stopped and he was dead for a few minutes.

a couple of months had passed before he was fully back on his feet and started to get back into his old ways. he was heading to the local park with his friends when he started to get a weird feeling that he was in danger. he tried to ignore it but as they got closer the more anxiety he felt. when they arrived they encountered a robbery that was happening. the group of friends quickly broke it up but emilio was still on edge the rest of the day. he knew that it felt much more than a simple gut reaction.

power…  his power is danger detection and it feels like a gut feeling but much more intense sensation. he can only use it when he’s nearby and the closer that he gets to the threat, the more intense the feeling gets. since it only happens when he’s near danger, he has no control over his ability and there’s not a technique he can perfect. (see above for how he found out about his power bc i combined the things). he started working a security job at eighteen and it helped him move up pretty fast in his position since he could always break up and prevent most things from getting too out of hand.

drawbacks / vulnerabilities… the biggest struggle that he deals with from his ability is the toll that it takes on his mental health. since there’s no way to really turn his ability off, he’s always in some state of high alert while things happen around him. as the years progressed his “gut feeling” triggered some sort of panic or anxiety as he waits to face whatever danger is lurking near him. he’s definitely been put on lots of different medications over the years but nothing has seemed to help him.

cerberus corp…  he was sought out in 2010 when cerberus was first formed but he denied the offer. he was very comfortable with his life. he was married with a child and he was head of security at his job. he was told that his ability that he found to be more of a burden would be useful for them. when his marriage started to fall apart the next year, he reached out to accept their offer. he’s been here twelve years now and he knows how useful his power is on important missions, he’s been finding himself trying to stay out of the field much as he can which is why he’s still a level iii after all of this time. when he does choose to go on missions he always has a partner because he’s only there to sense where the danger is coming from. he likes being an agent but he’s glad he can still do security and when he feels like it he can open his food truck for service.

codename…  he chose the name for himself. he thought it would be funny and didn’t think that much about it. he’ll answer to cupcake or emilio but his friends tend to call him cupcake.

Favorite character: Bobby! I adopted him as my son ever since he filled that grocery bag with pennies in the first episode and when it broke he just went "Should have double bagged it" all chill. Then his storyline discovering his sexuality and "process" was just soooooo good oh my gosh
