This took me a few days, I may need to order more boxes. Because I am running out of space, I still need a lot of threads put away.

Hey, if you do crafts (especially things like crochet, knitting, embroidery, etc), make sure to look up how to identify when a listing is AI generated. You do NOT want to waste money on an incredible looking kit or pattern that is physically impossible to make, especially if you're on sites like etsy hoping to support an actual artist.

A START, A FINISH, AND POSSIBLE DESTRUCTION
And of course we are off and running on another small sampler honoring another of The Resident Male’s fiction books. The Fangirl Army of One is on a roll here. At this point I have only a few more to do before my production catches up to his. This sampler celebrates Treyavir, a fantasy novel, relating the adventures of Reignal Maigntar, Falcon Knight. It’s a shorter read than most of his others,…

When you go, your footprints will fill with grass. Moss shall cover your tombstone, and as the sun rises, green shall spread over all, in all its shades and hues. This verdigris will overtake your swords and your coins and your battlements and, try as you might, all you hold dear will succumb to it. Your skin, your bones. Your virtue - The Green Knight 2021

Embroidery 101: Supplies
I love seeing embroidery stitch videos, but how do you actually get into embroidery? I thought I’d share some tips and tricks I’ve learned about embroidery for folks looking to get into it. There is no right” supply, but I thought I’d share what I have and how I use it. Hoops – Hoops are a great way to start projects. Most of the time, beginner samplers will need a basic hoop, but as you learn…

How to use an embroidery thread for quilting?
Tumblr media
Embroidery is an age-old practice and it has been seen in all major cultures throughout history. This technique developed from tailoring and patching pieces of cloth to make decorative pieces. Later on, they were seen as marks of wealth or status as only the most eminent personalities could afford embroidered clothing.
These days millions of people around the world enjoy embroidery as a hobby or as a profession. Even though embroidery threads are quite often compared with sewing thread the core difference lies in the thickness, quality and purpose of the thread.
How to get started with quilting with embroidery threads?
Step 1:  Gather your materials: - Sewing machine, embroidery thread, fabric for binding, mat, ruler, cutter, pins and clips, needle, and batting.
Step 2: Choose a pattern: - In case you are a beginner make sure to choose a simple pattern. You can choose an intricate pattern if you are experienced with basic embroidery techniques. Make sure to sketch out your pattern on a piece of paper.
Step 3: Wash your fabric: - Make sure to wash the fabric that you would like to coordinate on. This process ensures the removal of dirt and removes any marks that may confuse you during the stitching phase.
Step 4: Preparation of the quilt: - Choose the dimensions of your quilt. Beginners should choose a smaller dimension for better and finer work. Carefully make the measurements and cut the parts. Lay each piece on your cutting board and use the fabric ruler to measure their exact sizes.
Step 5: Arranging the quilt: - This step is customizable. You can either choose to follow the design that you sketched out or you can choose to add new elements or make changes. Make sure to lay out the fabric as you designed it or how you want it to be. Arrange the fabrics in rows so that you can sequentially follow the pattern.
Step 6: Sewing: - Make sure to maintain a consistent stitch seam so that your pattern lines up. Use pins to avoid the fabrics from moving while you are sewing. Sew each piece together to create your quilt. You must take special care in not picking and moving pieces of the fabrics randomly.
Step 7: Combining: - Once you have sewed all the rows. Arrange the rows in an adjacent pattern. Continue to switch along the bottom of the rows to hide the seams after which you will have to remove the excess fabrics.
Step 8: Basting: - Line up all the sides of the fabric and iron it to get rid of any wrinkles.
Step 9: - Sew the remaining pieces: - Once your basting process is complete use your sewing machine to sew the fabric together.
Step 10: Binding: - Make sure your seams are even before bolding the binding behind your quilt and then sewing the binding together.
Thus, the above-mentioned steps will help you get started with embroidery and create a basic designed quilt without any hassles.
