Do you celebrate any anniversaries? Syscovery, relationships, birthdays, etc? What do you typically do to celebrate?

i had my birthday a couple months ago :) we did more on that day than on the body's actual birthday lol...my sibling and best friend in-sys bought me a present (STUFFED ANIMAL ^_^) and i had cake and stuff and everybody was really niceys to me. some of my external friends even wished me a happy birthday and that was really exciting. i'm a fictive and the day i celebrated is my birthday from my source, so it was really comforting and helped alot with homesickness and stuff

another fictive in my subsystem might also celebrate its "source birthday" for the first time later this summer but it isnt sure what it wants to do. most of us frequent fronters even the middles think of ourselves as "too old" for that kind of thing; im really the only one comfortable with it. and so far nobody else has expressed interest in picking out their own birthday to celebrate, nor do we keep good enough track of important internal events to even approximate dates that alters may have formed. (hence why we also don't really celebrate any other kinds of anniversaries.)

(actually it would be weird if i was really the only one to ever have celebrated my own birthday though, we are a big system and a lot of us are really thoroughly differentiated from each other. i bet there are others with birthdays that i'm just forgetting about.)

on a more serious note & this isnt inherently a system thing but later this year, we are finally getting out of a bad living situation and moving far away from an abuser. i definitely want the day we finish moving in to our new place to become an important anniversary for us ^_^

okay, amazing!! so, i personally think that once joyce had an appointment in the evening and jonathan cooked and el was like... amazed! bc with hopper she ate mostly pre-prepared, store-bought stuff and joyce's cooking is solid, but not the Best. jonathan is better at it, so he becomes el's standard really quickly.

will and el both have that this-food-is-home sensation from food cooked by jonathan.

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them.

okay so i realized i neglected to address the second part of this in my last answer. so let's talk about why ashley seaver is good, actually.

criminal minds doesn't take full advantage of her character (which, i mean... they don't have the greatest track record with women anyway), but she's truly hated by a lot of fans i've seen over the years and i just wanna gssture helplessly because — she's learning! in her first episode she asks rossi "is it wrong to love him still" and in a show that's about understanding violent crime what could be better?

her relative inexperience actually makes her a pretty good audience surrogate. or it could have! she has an adorable relationship with both emily and rossi. hotch tells her!! that she has a unique perspective!! multiple times!! and it could have been such a good payoff in the lauren reynolds arc.

she has a specific kind of empathy.

it's just an overall incredible character premise and they fumbled the bag so hard with it. but that should be what fanfic is for! so like... go for it, i am begging!

17. there should be more of this type of fic/art.

i will always adore fusions!! transplanting a cast of characters into an established setting with a specific vibe and how that would work is one of my f a v o r i t e things.

and in general, just... gen fic & platonic rep... i love you!!

i've been hoarding this message for ages so i apologize if you were waiting for me to respond sooner and for suddenly getting a random notification from me. it's been a while since i've logged in on here. i'm in grad school now, in a different city, and in a different period of my life. but what i will say is "sad machines" holds a wonderful place in my heart. your words were not weird, and i am truly, undoubtedly touched that you spent as much time as you did to write your sweet thoughts. i am doing very well these days! still battling writer's block, but i'm a poet now. i write scenes of fic and am trying to transition into non-fanfic writing, so that's been fun. still finding my way, but finding that it's coming together quite nicely. i love you and your kindness! i really hope you're doing well, staying safe, and most importantly, taking care of yourself, koyel!

I have this headcanon that masters and padawans can share quarters. Some choose not to and some do.

I think that actually makes a lot of sense, especially when you take into account Master Padawan pairs that aren’t human or humanoid. You got people like Master Plo Koon who doesn’t breathe oxygen and has to have a mask - he probably has a special type of quarters so he doesn’t have to keep the mask on all the time.

But he’s also had several padawans, including Lissarkh and the latter part of Bultar Swan’s apprenticeship and they breath oxygen like most so them living with Master Koon probably wouldn’t make any sense.

So yeah, I think it’s pretty reasonable to think some padawans may live in the quarters with their master and some may not, for varying different reasons. Some may be practical, such as Master Koons case with his padawan, while others may just not want to live with their master in said quarters.

It does make me wonder however, where exactly padawans would live. Do they have their own quarters? Do they share quarters with other padawans - whether it be assigned or just friends bunking together? Do they have some kind of dorm system? It’s interesting to think about for sure.

6. which ship fans are the most annoying?

ooooooooh, fascinating question! i usually just filter out, so i'm not current on most drama, but i will say that in the 911 fandom it's kind of hard to make a gifset that won't eventually be tagged with shipping commemtary, truly regardless of what the set is about. i'll make gifs of a recurring character and ppl will write how they want them to play matchmaker. that just becomes kind of old especially because i don't ship much romantically on the show

oh, see, there's soso many bc i tend to like specifically the unpopular/overlooked characters bc i'm wired wrong or something. for a long time i was one of the only mal oretsev (grishaverse) fans out there but luckily the show did bring more of us out of the woodwork.

nowadays it's characters like abby clark & daphne bridgerton. & always ashley seaver. the only reason this isn't escalating into a 10,000 word essay is bc i'm keeping to the letter of the question and separating it from 'characters everyone says they love but largely ignore.' everyone say thank you.
