Do you celebrate any anniversaries? Syscovery, relationships, birthdays, etc? What do you typically do to celebrate?

i had my birthday a couple months ago :) we did more on that day than on the body's actual birthday lol...my sibling and best friend in-sys bought me a present (STUFFED ANIMAL ^_^) and i had cake and stuff and everybody was really niceys to me. some of my external friends even wished me a happy birthday and that was really exciting. i'm a fictive and the day i celebrated is my birthday from my source, so it was really comforting and helped alot with homesickness and stuff

another fictive in my subsystem might also celebrate its "source birthday" for the first time later this summer but it isnt sure what it wants to do. most of us frequent fronters even the middles think of ourselves as "too old" for that kind of thing; im really the only one comfortable with it. and so far nobody else has expressed interest in picking out their own birthday to celebrate, nor do we keep good enough track of important internal events to even approximate dates that alters may have formed. (hence why we also don't really celebrate any other kinds of anniversaries.)

(actually it would be weird if i was really the only one to ever have celebrated my own birthday though, we are a big system and a lot of us are really thoroughly differentiated from each other. i bet there are others with birthdays that i'm just forgetting about.)

on a more serious note & this isnt inherently a system thing but later this year, we are finally getting out of a bad living situation and moving far away from an abuser. i definitely want the day we finish moving in to our new place to become an important anniversary for us ^_^
