I usually don't interact with cottagecore/toxic girl aesthetic/Lolita aesthetic/Fiona Apple(and the like) fangirls mainly because their content doesn't arouse anything in me (in the music area see: my user is literally em0hamlet). Also, many of them have that weird internalized misogyny mixed with a drop of misandry and the unconscious pushing of traditional gender roles as something innovative that ummmmmmm.
But bruh, they're not helping their cause:

Imagine you are me. You open Pinterest and see this. You suddenly feel left-out-from-something and you start to ask yourself things like, what is that purple thing? Why does it look like a character from a children's movie where you're supposed to look at it and say "it means you harm, your majesty!!!!!"? Why does it look like a weird version of "Labyrinth"? Why did no one in the comments section acknowledged how weird the image is without context? Is it supposed to be a postmodern work of art that I'm too ignorant to understand?
