I said I would talk a bit about whenever I find Aria picking the Light-side option over the Dark-side options, so coming at you with another headcanon post! This one is less of a surprise to me, but it’s still interesting enough to make a talk-y post about so here we go: this Imperial scientist...medic..whatever guy, on Hoth. The Light-side option is to heal him and let him run off, Dark-side option is to let him die of hypothermia. Of course, in this instance, Aria picks the LS option. Not necessarily out of the goodness of her heart but purely because she is, after all, a sleeper agent and she understands that letting this guy die means one less medic for the Imperials. Therefore, healing him up and letting him go is a no-brainer for her. Also as far as the scientist guy goes, from the Consular storyline. I do headcanon that she lets him live for the same reason, although he never actually gets to the Republic as a prisoner of war, as instead Aria’s father sends someone to “intercept” the soldiers taking him prisoner so he is returned to the Empire to work under her father; because again...why kill him, or risk letting him go to the Republic where he can squeal about the Empire’s secrets to the Republic/the Jedi when Noctis can just as easily send another Sith (possibly Vano, but not sure on the timeline and how that would line up. So it might be Vano in the final draft or it might end up being some other rando depending on how that works out as I get to writing that part lol) to pick him up and ensure none of this gets to their enemies ;)

Muse Meme
(Electric Boogaloo)
I was tagged by @greyias! ...also a while ago.
I will return to my regularly scheduled yammering about SWTOR characters very soon, but this time I’m going to mix things up a little with a character from one of my perpetually-simmering, never-cooked original WIPs.
This is partly an excuse to air this concept out, and partly because I looked at the questions and couldn’t think of any answers for Maia that I haven’t already talked about in previous meme posts. <_<
Your Muse’s Name: Alsandír. “San” for short, at least among a fairly select group of people.
One favorite picture/face claim of your muse:
Tumblr media
(Édgar Ramírez in Bright, a direct inspiration.)
Two headcanons you have for your muse:
He’s the rebellious liberal kid of his family, not that anybody could tell it from casual observation. Most of his relatives hold the fairly common attitude that magic should be controlled by elves; meanwhile San, who has had firsthand experience of the kinds of Bad Things that can happen when magic goes wrong, is really not keen on seeing anyone use it and is not so much on the elven superiority train. (Comparatively. He’s still kind of an elitist snob, just not as much as you’d expect if you have much personal experience with elven culture.) He’s also a lot less ambitious than his family would prefer, since he prefers being out in the field where he can take direct action rather than being focused on climbing the ladder to a position of greater power. All his means his relationship with his family is kind of strained.
As a child he wanted a pet jackalope. They’d venture out into the lawn and garden of his family estate sometimes and he liked watching them.
Three things that your muse likes doing in their free time:
Logic puzzles, mostly sudoku and unnecessarily complicated variants on sudoku. It’s a way to occupy his mind whenever he has to sit around waiting for whatever, which is a frequent occupational hazard.
He’s an astonishingly good cook, which he claims is in self-defense because it’s impossible to find decent cochinita pibil anywhere on the east coast. (When you’re as long-lived and fixated on lineage as most elves, the family recipes - like pretty much anything else involving elven family lines - become Very Serious Business indeed.) Plus relying on someone else to prepare all his meals, whether it’s takeout or a personal chef, would ultimately be a security hazard. It’s more convenient for him to be able to feed himself, and if he’s going to do it, he’s damn well going to do it right.
Reading up on cold cases and supernatural history because he’s a workaholic nerd with a fairly barren personal life.
Seven People your muse loves/likes:
Here’s where I admit that the overall concept is not yet really developed enough for me to list many specific characters, but...
His family, despite the increasingly strained relationship mentioned above. Elves tend to be clannish, multiple generations sharing a household, so while he doesn’t have siblings he does have cousins (several branches removed in some cases) who are basically like siblings, an absolutely terrifying (great-)grandmother, etc etc. He doesn’t necessarily see them often (since most of them live on the opposite coast) and he mostly tries to avoid talking about his work or other sensitive subjects because he’s the rebellious liberal black sheep and that’s a great way to start an argument, but they’re important to him nonetheless and nobody else had better say a word against them.
His team in the Department of Magic Regulation*. Mostly humans, mostly subordinates rather than peers, but they’re pretty much all people he trusts and are honestly the closest thing he has to friends for the most part (that barren personal life I mentioned). One of them is very loosely based on Pete Wisdom because of reasons.
Co-protagonist Raine Mallory, who is in essentially the same line of work (magic regulation) but way on the other end of the spectrum (underpaid county employee vs elite federal agent) and ends up presenting him with all kinds of new perspectives on quite a lot of things. Because yes this is ultimately a romance, why do you ask?
*(Actual official name still to be determined.)

There’s quite a few points in the Consular story where it’s honestly really hard for me to determine what Aria would do, and sometimes the answer is a WEIRD one. This bit on Taris is one of ‘em.
So, you’re offered a choice between saving this woman, Laria (Light-side) and saving the Jedi holocrons with a bunch of medical data that could save “thousands” of lives - supposedly (Dark-side). I always thought Aria would be the “pick to save the holocrons” gal but strangely enough after agonising on the decision for a few minutes....I ended up concluding she’d save Laria. NOT out of the goodness of her heart though (sorry Laria, I like you pfft🤣) but rather because, well...on one hand, Darth Noctis (her father) would certainly have interest/be invested in getting his hands on those holocrons full of information he might be able to eventually use to his advantage. But on the other...letting the holocrons explode means the Jedi don’t have access to them either. Considering Aria’s whole schtick is “sabotage the Jedi from the inside out so that by the time we hit Tython at the end it’s almost a clean sweep” I feel like objectively it makes sense for her to “choose” Laria over the holocrons in this instance.
It’ll be really interesting from my perspective to see where else in this story she ends up choosing the “Light-sided” dialogue options except in Subterfugeverse canon it will be entirely for fucked up and selfish reasons so, you know, objectively it is NOT a light-side choice at all for that reason. 🤣😛

Better-late-than-never mini lore post.✨✨ (Obligatory spoiler warning for the Jedi Consular storyline, if you're a newbie to the game and/or for whatever reason haven't played JC all the way through yet and don't want spoilers, don't click under here)
I can't remember what her name tag was (sorry kiddo) but man, I always feel bad for this poor kid ;;-;; Gelan why did you have to do this to her she didn't deserve this. And I think This Is It for Aria. She's been a ruthless, "remorseless" (or so she likes to try and convince herself, *gestures at the PTSD*) killer since she was Just A Kid. But THIS kid (I'm operating under the assumption that this kiddo is a rookie. She sounds young to me, so I'm guessing she's absolutely no older than 20 tops) gets to her in a way that every other Jedi Master she's been killing for her father/Darth Noctis ever could have to this point. Maybe because it's a little bit like looking into a mirror of sorts....could that little hesitation and turn back be...some guilt, perhaps, Ari? 🍵

For the SWTOR NPC asks. What happened to Loyat and Cytharat in your canon?
From the [SWTOR NPC Headcanon Asks List]
thank you for the ask, as always! <3
Tumblr media
I’ll start with Cytharat since I definitely have more headcanons for him than Loyat atm!
Based on him mentioning being Malgus’ apprentice and a very newly-appointed Lord, and also being way Pinker than the obviously-older Pureblood NPCs/the PC Pureblood skintone options, I’m assuming Cytharat is pretty Young for a Pureblood, so I figured him around about Ty’s age, maybe 10 years (~2 human years max age difference) younger if that
Vano and Kas are kind of working in tandem by the time the Makeb storyline comes around so they attend to the Makeb questline(s) together.
Kas had one conversation with Cytharat and immediately went “Yep This Is My Apprentice Now If Malgus Wants Him Back He Can Come Fucking Fight Me” (Malgus was never brave and/or stupid enough to come fight her XD). Since they’re working together, Kas and Vano manage to split up so Vano saves Catha Niar and Kas manages to save Cytharat. Afterwards she offers him a spot on her crew and since its obvious to him that even if she might be A Little Weird, Kas obviously Cares unlike most of the other Sith so he accepts and ends up becoming part of Kas’s crew.
While he’s hesitant at first about the idea of teaming up with Jedi/Republic personnel, he trusts Kas by that point so when she says they’re going with Lana and Marr to Yavin IV to help deal with the Revanites Cytharat just accepts it. When Kas is reunited with Rai after arriving there, Cytharat meets Ty and maybe (Definitely) gets a crush. They’re only together for a little while before the whole temporary alliance dissolves again and when Rai (and by extension Ty) refuses to go back to the Empire with them they part ways for a time
Cytharat misses Ty a lot more than he was expecting to and Kas Notices (™). She casually mentions that she has Ty’s holofrequency if he wants it and deliberately leaves said frequency where she Knows he can find it. Cytharat sneaks a few message/letters through and keeps chatting with him until Arcann and the Eternal Empire give them more pressing concerns at which point they lose contact again until one day Lana rocks up to Kas’s office with Rai and Ty in tow.
Ty gets left with Kas and co. while Rai goes with Lana and Koth to Zakuul and the poor kid is a Nervous Wreck about it so Cytharat has to help Kas calm him down because they’re the only two people he Trusts. Kas then pulls a classic old “oh Cytharat do you think you could help us with this star chart, oh wait a second is that Ashara and Khem calling me? You and Ty can handle looking through this one by yourselves right? I’ll check on you later byeeee~” and at some point during their moving everything over to Odessen he ~finally~ asks Ty out.
So of course Cytharat stays on with the Alliance afterwards. I’m not 100% sure if they’ll ever get married yet (haven’t gotten that far with their relationship planning yet but they’re defo solid as an item :’3) but Cytharat is absolutely okay with being the muscle of the relationship while his bf hides behind him when things get scary (which is, unfortunately, very often. Poor Ty XD)
And Loyat!! (who I do not have any screenshots of rn since none of my current pub toons are as far as Ilum (anymore, I yeeted a few of them when I stopped vibing with them oopsie)
I have less solid plants for Loyat but I do love her and I am definitely kidnapping her she’s mine now Bioware /hj
Loyat and Aria are definitely buddies. Probably even drinking buddies, much to the abject horror of anyone who happens to cross paths with them when they’re out drinking XD
They absolutely would meet during the Ilum war/storyline. Though it’s not until after (the Assault on Tython FP) that Aria’s officially outed as a Sith plant, Loyat can probably Sense It so she agrees to go with Aria to the Jedi if only knowing that Aria probably has an Out Again if she’s managed to be in deep cover this long and not get caught.
It’s a minor wrench in the plan when Aria tries to fuckin fight Satele and gets arrested, but I’m kiiind of feeling like Loyat might go with her to Manaan. Especially since with Zenith and most of the other Consular crew lickity splitting when they realise Aria Was Sith The Whole Time. Ya girl’s gonna need some crewmates/friends, so why not Loyat? ;3 by the same vein, probably goes with Aria to the Alliance and ends up working under Kas’s Force Enclave sector, but where specifically I have yet to decide owo
I definitely want to expand on Loyat more, but for now sadly that’s all I got for Loyat! 😅😅

Lana: I won't apologise for being right! Saarai: 😡😡😡 Lana: Saarai: APOLOGISE.
Lana: *immediately apologises*
Your girlfriend won't let your pride get you out of this one, Lana /lh You're welcome, Theron.
(also gtfo of here if you think Lana's evil for making a mistake when Theron makes one that at the very least is ON PAR with this if not WORSE because he actually DID almost kill TWO people. I'm not saying Theron's evil for making a mistake either but my point is people are people and they ALL make mistakes, if you're gonna demonise Lana but expect people to not be mad at YOUR blorbo for fucking up in the EXACT same way several expacs down the line then you're a fucking hypocrite and yes, I will die on this hill I'm sick of that bullshit. Start shit in my notes because I've said this and you will be insta-blocked I am not joking.)
That aside I genuinely do really like this interaction. I see a lot of people poo-poo Lana's stubbornness here but I feel like its authentic given that this is still the VERY early days of what will eventually become the Alliance. Yes Lana and Theron consider eachother as friends but like....stereotypes still exist on both sides and realistically, they haven't known eachother for long enough at this point to NEVER mess up and butt heads and I feel like this interaction very nicely shows that. Lana sees just the results of the mission and didn't stop to think "hey maybe I should ask Theron if he's okay with this", Theron (rightfully) wants an apology but at this time as far as Lana is considered she didn't do anything wrong (important distinction here, as well. NOT "she didn't do anything wrong uwu" but "she thinks she didn't do anything wrong") BUT she's also not too proud to actually apologise when Rai pipes up and says "yeah actually, that wasn't nice. Apologise or I will be mad at you until you do".
I just think it's neat. It's not just the "lower down" members of the de-facto Alliance that struggle and butt heads, Lana and Theron do it too. Theron and an Imperial PC might butt heads often. The Warrior and/or Inquisitor might have problems with Satele, vice versa for the Jedi Knight and the Sith Warrior...there's so much potential for various dynamics here and I don't think it gets outwardly acknowledged as much as it could be.

Strikhedonia - The pleasure of being able to say “to hell with it”. for an oc/pairing that you think would best suit the prompt - KH💙 (p.s. sorry for accidentally unfollowing you when trying to click on the 'ask' button 🤪)
(no worries and likewise I am SO SO SORRY that this took me two years to finish up I am horrified by that 😭🥺 I had a l o t of fun with this one even if it took me 5ever to transfer it from script to actual Prose so I hope it’s worth the wait and y’all enjoy!! <3) A/N:
This one is set just after > Kiss With A Fist <  so if you’re new and/or you don’t remember the kiss they’re arguing about, it’s in that oneshot! :D
Strikhedonia - noun. The pleasure of being able to say “to hell with it”. This one came from the “obscure word/definition” ask game a while back. Sadly far back enough that I do not have the link but ANYWAY its finally here yaaas!! The alternative title for this one is “How much Unresolved Sexual Tension can I fit into one Oneshot?” and the answer, I am happy to report, is “Yes”. XD
Wai Tarar = the official title/rank term for the Ahaszaai royals’ personal bodyguards, each Ahaszaai has a minimum of one, but more commonly between 2-3 ESPECIALLY for the current ruling Emperor(ess) and/or their heir(ess) ;)  It’s literally just High Sith for “Royal Protector” but it sounds so much more fancy in High Sith xP
Falling in love with your bodyguard is a little less scandalous when your father happens to think he Has Very Nice Genes, Actually, and This Could Work In Our Favour so "You know what, go ahead" XD in case anyone is wondering WHY Vastas doesn't care. Kissai's got Massassi blood in his line, and Grampy Ahaszaai thinks it'd be neat to get a little of that in the future grandkids 😉
No specific warnings for this one. Just two idiots very obviously in love, and - oh my god she’s done denying it? D’leah’s not playing hard to get anymore?? /lh XD You can also read on > AO3 < if you’d prefer the formatting there! :D
_______________________________________________________________
D'leah had been rather surprised to catch the eye of her Wai Tarar across the sea of other Sith Lords and Darths, decked out to their nines in glitz and glamour in the manner she would have well expected of the High Sith families that associated with her father. Of course, it was not a problem that he had come, as her principle protector it was almost certainly…encouraged that Kissai attend in order to stand guard for the Ahaszaai line during the festivities, he would not be the only Wai Tarar in the crowd. But the Sith heiress simply couldn't shake the realization that Kissai was not in his red armour, this time, but rather a suit of the more formal kind. It couldn't be….that he was here for her, surely?
On an impulse, she caught his eye as she wove her way through the crowd and headed for the nearby balcony, the cool night breeze stirring her cheeks as she stepped out of the stuffy palace ballroom. Leaning against the balustrade, she exhaled softly and waited, listening to the lilting notes of the classical music that drifted towards her through the open balcony door. Before long, the sound of carefully measured footfalls reached the heiress' ears, and she calmly turned to face him. She had nothing to fear from this man, she knew that much.
"Dance with me, my Lord?" He inquired, eyes bright with hope as he held a hand out towards her. The heiress' gaze lingered on his outstretched palm for a fraction too long, before finally darting up to meet his, the tips of her jaw spurs trembling. He cleaned up remarkably well, for a commoner…
Somehow, the fact that he had waited until she had beckoned him outside, away from the prying eyes of every kriffing Sith aristocrat in the Empire, to ask for her hand at all only made it *worse* for her. Damn it, his sister's right. You've got it BAD, D'leah.
Besides, nobody would see them out here, so what harm would one dance do? If he cared half as much as she liked to pretend that he did, D'leah knew her father would never have let her leave the palace with her guard in tow - Emperor Ahaszaai had eyes everywhere, and someone watching out for her at all times.
So, the heiress slid her hand delicately into his, the corners of her mouth twitching upwards into a faint half smirk as she purred teasingly. "You have nice manners, for an Outskirter~"
The taller Pureblood scoffed softly as she stepped into his grasp, his fangs flashing in a grin. "Last I checked, my Lord, your father was quite enamoured with my manners."
D'leah raised a browstalk in surprise. "Enamoured", huh? He'd taken to using a lot of big words around her of late…he really was trying to impress her, she was sure of it.
"I can't imagine why he would think that." She smirked back at him, bringing her other hand to rest on his shoulder, though she did have to pivot onto her toes ever so slightly. He was so tall...
They fell into a steady and well-balanced set of steps in time with the tempo of the music from the ballroom, and Kissai guided her into a twirl, humming softly under his breath. "Hmm. You know what I think?"
D'leah made a curious, prompting noise in the back of her throat, her breath almost catching when he effortlessly caught her out of the spin and dipped her down in time with the swell of the music. His hand was warm against the small of her back, even through the fabric of her evening gown, "you like it." the taller Pureblood breathed, a hint of a query to his tone still.
Kissai was right, she knew he was. But the Sith heiress wasn't quite ready to admit it just yet. She wanted him to work for it. She chuckled as nonchalantly as she could manage, allowing him to pull her upright and sweep her into the next set of steps. "Well, I think you’re a fool who is wholly overconfident in himself~"
The taller Pureblood's fangs flashed in a grin, and without thinking about it, he retorted cheekily. "That makes two of us, then, doesn't it, my Lord?"
The realisation dawned on his face as D'leah's arm snapped taut with the next step she took, the heiress' eyes fixing on him as she hissed sharply.
"And you have grown over comfortable being so casual with me, Izreni." It should have been a warning, and on her first reflex D'leah had meant for it to be one, but when the words actually came out of her mouth they sounded far more like a returning quip than she had intended. The Wai Tarar scoffed, indignant, and raised a browstalk at her as he protested: "You kissed me. If you wished for me to leave you alone, my Lord, you've done a very poor job in telling me so."
“I did.” she nodded, squashing the urge to smirk as he blinked at her in utter surprise that she had admitted to it, like a gizka caught in the headlights. D’leah drew in another deep breath to keep her composure, shutting her eyes for a moment as she reminded him, her voice far more amused than scathing. And if I saw fit I could kill you where you stand for speaking to me that way.” “I know.” the Wai Tarar answered in much the same tone. She wasn’t quite sure how, but somehow their back-and-forth had deviated from their standard back-and-forth banter to become simply exchanges of facts they were both well aware of already. The heiress was losing, and she knew it. She shifted her weight onto the balls of her feet as they twirled again, and as she returned to his hold, he smirked and asked. “Then why are you out here with me, and not in there with the other High-born brats, my Lord?”
The Ahaszaai heiress opened her eyes to meet his gaze once more, willing her heart to stop skipping violently against her ribcage when she did. “They bore me.” she admitted at length, stepping closer to Kissai as the tempo of the music that floated out from the ballroom behind them began to slow. “You, on the other hand…” She felt his grip on her tighten, not by much, but enough that D’leah took note of it, and hummed wordlessly in response. It took a moment for the taller Sith’s brain to catch up with the rest of his senses, but when it did she watched the spurs against his jaw flex in anticipation. His voice grew husky as he muttered. “Darindz artsisasi ki, ctarzari…”
D’leah let out a sultry chuckle in retort. “Nu sarjia j’us kaisijas oi…”
His gaze flicked from hers, to the door behind them, reflexive panic written on his features clear as day. “What would your father say?” he floundered, as if forgetting he had just moments ago used an entirely contradictory argument when their dance had started. The Ahaszaai High Lady could no longer contain her own laughter, throwing her head back to cackle aloud and feeling the tips of his claws curl against her spine as she did so. “Do you believe he’d let his heiress wander off with any old vagabond who asked her for her arm? He knows exactly where I am.” D’leah raised a prompting browstalk at him. “If he didn’t like you, Izreni, he would not allow you anywhere near me.” much less anything else. And she knew that Kissai knew that just as well as she did.
“I see…” the Wai Tarar’s jaw spurs trembled, but still he daren’t move, nor had his hands travelled any lower in spite of her offering him an invitation to do so on a silver platter. Kissai was waiting for her to come to him. His self control was admirable, and oh so attractive....
Deciding to indulge him for the second time, the heiress stretched up on her toes to brush her lips ever so gently against his as she cooed softly. “Or are you scared, Kissai~?”
She felt, rather than heard, his breath hitch, and after a moment to compose himself he managed to get out the words, low enough that only D’leah would hear them. “Such thoughts are hardly proper in polite company, princess.”
“Ah, of course.” she grinned, a purr rumbling in her throat as she stepped out of his arms to take the taller Pureblood’s hand into hers instead. D’leah did not miss the low chuff of disappointment that he made as she moved away from him, but nonetheless released his grip on her obediently. Ever the gentleman, this one. As if to answer the unspoken question, the Ahaszaai heiress tugged on his hand, holding his gaze as she backed toward the balcony door to head back inside. “Come, let’s go inside. It’s getting cold out here.” To hell with it, doesn’t matter who sees us.
_______________________________________________________ High Sith translations: *canonically there is so little written about High Sith conlang that there aren't even proper contractions (like "I'm", "Don't" etc.) which is just...a huge oversight, to put it blankly. So I made my own contractions. At least it doesn’t sound like an unnecessarily and stupidly clunky language that way skhjslhdh
Darindz artsisasi ki, ctarzari…  - Don’t (from Dari “do” + nindz “not”) tease me, princess..
Nu sarjia j’us kaisijas oi…  - I thought you liked it...
That said, D’leah DOES on occasion not use contractions in Basic, particularly for things like “would not” (as in “would not allow you anywhere near me”) or “do not”. There’s no particular reason for this, she just decided it was a speech quirk of hers and keeps making me write it this way on occasion /lh 😜

Headcanon: Old Sith Gods - Chirikyât
CW: possible body horror (WAY too many eyes), general creepy vibes,  do not click below the cut if sensitive to that theme!
Tumblr media
(Obligatory disclaimer that this post and its contents are MY personal headcanons for MY SWTOR world and by no means meant to be decreed as “the ONLY version”. If you don’t like them, that’s fine, go make your own then. Any attempts to stir the pot will result in liberal use of the block/blacklist function.)
Forgot to post this dude here when I finished him the other week!
Please DO NOT repost my art! It’s MY art, not yours!! (unless it was a gift/commission of your character, then you may ofc repost as you like as long as you credit me for the art)! Reblogs are always appreciated <333
You can view more (temp info is all that’s on there rn but this will be expanded when I have time!) info, including a better res of the image (so my writing may be easier to read), and design notes, on its toyhou.se >HERE<
My version of (one of) the Sith Gods. (”will you make more?”, yes, eventually. I need to do a LOT more reasearch on polytheism/polytheistic beliefs to ensure that I can represent such things properly & respectfully before I actively create any of the OTHERS, but it is somewhere in the near ish future!)
Some theme songs/ “Vibes”(w/ youtube links!) : The Yawning Grave - Lord Huron, Whisper - Burn The Ballroom, Lunatics and Slaves - Sin Shake Sin, Bones - Emily Finchum
Chirikyât (He/It) | Hssiss (technically...) | The patron god of House Ahaszaai. God of Battle (NOT War, this is an important distinction for later ;)) and Death.
I only gave it a semi-thumb bc honestly he’s fucking terrifying enough WITHOUT opposable thumbs, and I think giving opposable thumbs to a Force-eating Eldritch horror entity would be making it a bit TOO op XD
Further inspos that I couldn’t fit on the page bc my writing is Huge and I didn’t want the file to get too big JUST for writing djhdjdg:
Charon/The Ferryman (Greek mythology)
The Banshee (Irish mythology)
Mimics (D&D)
Seems to “draw in” Force energy, may or may not be a Derriphan... (unconfirmed, and he would never tell ;))
It doesn’t have an official/canon Voiceclaim yet, I’m still searching for one that fits (tm), but its voice echoes, and I imagine it to sound very...rough, like the kind of pitch you’d expect when you imagine “rusty nails on a chalkboard”.
Temp Bio/WIP Info:
Has a long-standing and VERY personal beef with Zildrogg & his worshippers (Zildrogg knows what he did /jk its a spoiler ;)) Bound to the ruling Ahaszaai monarch and/or their heir(ess), may only be commanded by them (however, WILL be tolerant of the monarch's family members/loved ones i.e. will not eat them on sight, just don't tell him what to do lol). Said to have blessed the Ahaszaai family with the gift of Psychometry, and their loyalty to him is what ensures another of their line "inherits" the gift.
If a member of the Ahaszaai is particularly responsive/receptive to his communication and actively interprets the Visions given, they may be bestowed the title of Rhak-skuri, the Dream-singer. Why dream singer? Due to the fact that Chirikyât can communicate with anyone it chooses, telepathically, while awake, but while it's sleeping, it seems to only be able to reach those who possess Psychometry; and often will reach out to them in their dreams. (Saarai did not sign up for this but here she is /lh)

Elven Rambles About Character Builds
So! As we know, SWTOR’s body types (especially for the women) are sorely lacking in proper variety in-game. It’s something that’s always bothered me, and I have specific images in my head for how I imagine each of my main girls to look in terms of their figure. But the problem is, for all of them, none of the in-game body presets that are available come close to their actual builds, I’ve just had to settle for “eh, I guess this is as close as I’m gonna get, whatever”
I’m putting the rest under a cut because it gets quite long, I do talk a little bit about the slavery plot point of the Inquisitor storyline so that’s something to be aware of before proceeding, but it’s mostly just a lot of me rambling about my dumb space children so be prepared for a lot of reading, I guess (there’s pictures too tho!) haha
Aria is certainly the “worst” for this, because while she has a “baby” face, her torso is a lot chunkier, and most importantly, she’s short, ya girl’s 5 ft 1 for God’s sakes! I don’t know if it’s just my eyes, but to me, BT2 looks the “shortest”, so even though BT4 is probably the “closest” I can get in game to her overall structure, it’s too tall for her. So, I’ve ended up having to “settle” for BT2 even though it makes her look way too slender, really. (honest to God, can we have someone on character design that doesn’t insist on every woman having a perfect hourglass figure because “they have to be that way or they’re not attractive”, PLEASE Bioware! Bigger, round or square, or pear-shaped or whatever, ladies, can still be beautiful too!)

And let’s not mention that there’s such a vast difference in all the different male body type options (look at male BT2 and male BT3 for instance) And yet for the ladies, the differences are so subtle that I honestly have to squint to see them (and yes, I have kinda crappy eyesight but it should be more easily noticeable, if you can do it for the men you can do it for the women, you fucking cowards) because that’s a whole other rant. ANYWAY
SO, Ela shared the link to this site in our wonderful SWTOR content creator discord that I’m resident in and of course my brain went “wait a minute, I can use this”
So I did. It’s certainly not perfect but it’s good enough to give a much closer representation of how I imagine their builds/shapes to look. As mentioned I have a general idea of how I want them to be shaped in my head, but it helps to have a visual reminder when I’m trying to draw them, so now I have been making these silhouettes to add to their (new) ref sheets when I get round to em
Tumblr media
This is more along the lines of how I imagine Ari to look. She’s smol, and very square-shaped, with a fair bit of fat on her lower half especially (it all goes to her hips, I feel ya girl XD) So, I reiterate again, BT4 would be “correct” enough in terms of the pudge and the general shape, but it’s way too tall-looking in all the cutscenes I tried it in. So, BT2 was what I “settled” with, but this is the sort of build she should have.
and then in-game, Vano, Ni’kasi & Saarai are all BT3, because it’s the only “tall” option, but there’s a big problem with this because as the only option, it means your character has to be “tall and perfectly hourglass” which is....not the case really for any of them. There’s literally no options to have a “tall/big” lady but also have a different build or muscle structure and it frustrates me to no end, because even though they’re very close in height, their body types couldn’t be more different.
Exhibit A, the twins, put side-by-side to really show the difference between them:
Tumblr media
Saarai is a 6 ft 3 wall of pure muscle, she’s a literal tank & even though she’s fit, she’s very “broad” in stance & stature, she does have a sort of hourglass dip on her hips but it’s very subtle because she’s just that muscly (thanks dad, she’s definitely your kid pfpfpfpf) Ni’kasi, on the other hand? She’s only 6ft, she took more after mom than dad height-wise, and there’s no way for me to show it easily on this silhouette (I’m working on other stuff & don’t have time to make an edit in Sketchbook just for this post), but she actually did get Kissai’s broad shoulders...the problem is, that unlike Saarai, Ni’kasi hasn’t had a steady, healthy diet after she got turfed down the social ladder into the slave pits. Poor diet (and a shortage of enough food, too, they had to keep her in line & stop her escaping somehow, obvious solution: “make sure she’s too weak to even think about it”) means she’s a lot skinnier and more “twiggy” than her twin. She’s not grossly underweight anymore, obviously the Overseers and Zash had to make sure she was fed up properly to gain enough strength to be able to train & then run around the galaxy killing things at Zash’s bidding, BUT because of the malnourishment she suffered at that point in her life, she’s never going to get as much muscle as Saarai did and even though she’s a healthier weight now, she’s still slender. She has more of an hourglass than her twin, but her hips are much narrower than her shoulders, so it’s not as prominent (and even this silhouette has too much of an hourglass for her as is, but as I mentioned earlier, don’t have time to make the edit myself rn, will do it later XD)
And finally, Exhibit B, Vano:
Tumblr media
Now, I would argue Vano would be the closest of the three to being pretty much BT3. But note “the closest”, not “exact”. Why? Vano’s 6 ft 2, so she’s only an inch shorter than Rai, but their builds are very different. Saarai’s a beefcake, but Vano’s a Mirialan, so she’s got muscle, but she’s lean and tall. Vano here is about 80% or so legs and 20% the rest of her body, she’s got legs for daaayss and that’s what gives her the height, but apart from a six pack, you won’t actually see most of her muscle, whereas Saarai could flex with her guns out and you’d totally notice.
This got very long, so if you made it all the way to the end of this post of me blabbing about how I wish the body types had more variety & why I want that for my girls, I appreciate you very much, have a cookie! 🍪 🍪 🍪 🍪 🍪  < take one and pass it on as they say ;) hahaha

Elven’s Headcanons: Funny Coincidences
Okay so the thing is. I know my headcanons aren’t canon, and I am always sure to state that just because there’s always someone that’s gonna try and comment otherwise if I don’t put a written disclaimer over them BUT
Tumblr media
Then I get random drops like this out of either missions or the conquest rewards and I do have to stare at the screen for a second and think “OK hold on but is the algorythm reading my mind wtf 😳“
I have...some very specific headcanons regarding Ornamental Sith Blades relating to courtship and the fact that this is Imperial Memorabilia (which is Lana’s favourite) and Saarai got this drop?? The game is fucking with me, I know it is LMAO
Is she gonna hang onto this until the right moment to give it to Lana? You bet she is. Wait until the end of KOTET for the marriage scene who. 🤣🤣

For the oc with the best story: TAKEN III - did your muse ever went through some bad illness?
from the [Uncomfortable Headcanon Asks], thank you for asking! :D
Tumblr media
TAKEN III - did your muse ever went through some bad illness?
I think Vano definitely takes the cake on this one with the carbonite sickness fiasco of KOTFE. If you asked her, she would say it was hell and she wouldn’t wish the experience on her worst enemy.
SO personally, I feel like the game lets you off way too easy with the whole carbonite sickness thing, and naturally I decided that Vano has a way worse time of it than you do in-game because....let’s at least try and seem realistic, SWTOR, my dude. XD -Pretty much the only reason she manages to get out of the Spire on her own two feet when Lana, T7, Koth and Saarai come to get her is a combination of adrenaline, a little bit of spite (no way was she letting Arcann & Vaylin throw her back in there!), and then Saarai all but carrying her the last stretch once her adrenaline crashed and she suddenly could barely hold herself upright anymore. Vano couldn’t really make the jump onto the shuttle and Saarai pretty much had to pick Vano up and throw her across the gap into the ship LMAO The carbonite left her reflexes slow and her muscles weak and she couldn’t quite tuck-and-roll enough to land in the ship where Rai had been aiming, so she hit the edge of the ramp and thank the Force HK is on hand to grab her and pull her up. (I mean, Saarai would have caught her if she fell but y’know hahaha)
-With some of Lana’s Force healing, she’s able to get to a state where she can think clearly & (mostly) function for herself, but Vano still remains fairly weak for the entirety of their escape, her fighting is sloppy and clumsy and her normally-sharp reflexes are slow and she just feels like she’s stumbling around a dark alleyway in Kaas City after having too much to drink. She’s nauseous and having trouble orienting herself and remembering saber forms, or just.... everything really.
-If it hadn’t been for Saarai (and Senya) arriving to help her and Lana when they’re ambushed in the Endless Swamps, Lana would have had a lot more than a busted hand to worry about and Vano may have ended up dead. She does her best to help them raise the Gravestone, but even Vano will admit that most of the credit for that should go to the other three Force users because she was “basically a walking corpse”.
-Things get better once they get her to a proper medbay and start proper treatments and get her strength back up enough to start sparring, meditating and reminding herself of all her “old” fighting techniques, but for a long time after she recovers, even on Odessen, Vano suffers from insomnia. She’s afraid to fall asleep because “what if she doesn’t wake up, or worse, what if she does and it’s just Valkorion and her, in her mind, for another five years, or ten, or forever”. With some coaxing from her wife, Aria, and the combined efforts of Aria, Lana and some of the other Alliance advisors to apply a bit of medical intervention they may have dropped some mild sedatives in her tea a few times when she was pushing the “you need to sleep or you’re probably gonna like, die” mark she eventually works through this :3

For Saarai: 1, 26, and 39 for the 50 Random OC questions ^-^
Thank you for the ask, @berriku! From the 50 random questions meme, here: [x]
1. What is your OC’s most embarrassing moment?
Oohh, a difficult one! 🤔 I’d say there’s two answers to this one, one for each ‘verse as it were sooo~ Zephyrverse: Definitely the argument with Sash that almost broke up their marriage, which I’ve talked about a little before in previous asks but I can’t remember which ones so I can’t link them skshikshdjh but basically: they were both stressed af taking over ruling the Empire after they gave Valkorion the boot and so on, picked the wrong timing to have Maite and the resulting extra stress that caring for a newborn and juggling schedules around to accomodate that nearly had them phoning their relationship in. Rai’s really embarrassed she didn’t sit Sash aside and talk to her about it before it got to that point, cause she knows she wasn’t paying as much attention to Sash’s feelings as she could have (they are, ofc, fine now, they sorted it out, but yeah. It was embarrassing, Rai still kicks herself about it sometimes <3) Subterfugeverse: I don’t have screenshots cause I haven’t run her through this part of the game just yet but I have it all planned out Senya’s betrayal on Voss. She knew Koth had reservations about Senya, but as (one of) the leader of the Alliance, Saarai felt she had to try and remain impartial rather than “taking Koth’s side because they’re in a relationship”; moreover she trusted Lana’s judgement when Lana said that they could trust Senya. When it turns out that Senya just wanted to get to Arcann only to flip a 180 on them, Saarai felt very betrayed and humiliated that she’d ever wanted to give Senya the benefit of the doubt and she was incredibly embarrassed that she didn’t take Koth’s concerns more seriously because it turned out he was right (as far as Rai was concerned) (FWIW I headcanon she doesn’t kill Senya *cough* in the mainverse, I may be writing a whump that follows the in-game canon version *cough cough*, but Saarai does at that point turf her out of the Alliance and tell Senya not to come back - because if she can’t trust Senya not to stab her/the Alliance in the back when it’s most important then she just can’t stay. 😞😞)
26. Would your OC confess under torture? If not, would they confess if someone they cared about was being subjected to torture?
This one might be surprising, but no, not really! She’s pretty easy to manipulate in her younger years, but after that she learns better. She’s resilient (and a tank) for a reason, ya girl can take a beating and she’s not gonna cave no matter how much you kick the crap out of her. Go for someone she loves, and it’s one of a very small (as in can count the list on one hand) list of things that will make Saarai go full-on, what-Jedi-think-Sith-are-like-all-the-time feral. She will tear them to pieces for ever putting a single scratch on that person, you’re gonna have one very, very angry and rampaging tomato on your hands 😈😈😈
39. What is your OC’s favorite non-sexual place to touch their partner? (ie: hands, cheek, leg, etc…)
Either hands, or foreheads! Secondarily to cuddles and kisses, hand-holding and forehead boops are Saarai’s main non-sexual expressions of love <3

OC Worldbuilding Tag!
I was tagged by @raven-of-domain-kwaad and @rainofaugustsith for this one, thanks both of you! :D
I shall tag (if you want to ofc, no pressure!) uhh... @thelastenvoyyy , @dragonheart-swtor , @darth-bagel and anyone else who wants to do this, yes I promise I mean you! <3
So...because I’m always talking about her girls, I feel like I should maybe talk about D’leah for once because she’s actually tied to a fair bit of interesting worldbuilding for Subterfugeverse :3
This is a long post oop so here ya go, all under the cut!
Tumblr media
(art is comissioned from @.varjopihlaja :3 since the in-game scar options are a little...limited) -Her face got hecked up in one of the battles against the exiled Jedi’s occupation of Korriban, a stray concussion grenade went off before she could get out of range and did quite the number on her face as you can see. She lost most of the spurs on the left side of her face and therefore struggles a bit after that with non-verbal communication - because if Twi’leks and Nautolans can emote/communicate with their lekku and tentacles respectively then 👏 Purebloods 👏 can 👏 emote/communicate 👏 with 👏 their 👏 spurs/tendrils 👏👏  And yes, I am going to die on this hill XD (I have a good portion of these worked out already but haven’t had time to work on diagrams yet, but I will eventually make a lore post of sorts when I have!) Since in general, Purebloods are used to the spur movements occurring in pairs depending on what they’re trying to communicate, it took a lot of time, confusion, patience and frustration for D’leah (and her family) to work out the “adjusted” signals to account for her missing spurs so she could still communicate non-verbally even after the injury.
-Didn’t re-marry or even re-partner after Kissai’s death. He was her soulmate and even though that probably made things worse for her in the long run (nigh on 300 years without your soulmate and a gaping hole where your Force bond with him used to be? yeah, ouch ;-;) she just couldn’t (nor did she want to) “replace” him because she loved him too much. She had enough to remember him by with the twins, Kas looks like him and Saarai acts like him and that was enough to keep her going as long as she managed to.
-Her relationship with the twins is complicated, and while she did do crappy things (and was a Bad Parent because of those things), it wasn’t always like that and when they were younger she was actually a very good mom to them if a little okay a lot strict; but what are you gonna do when you’re (as far as she knew) the last three remaining members of your entire family dynasty having to hide away in Wild Space just to survive while your userper prances about your Empire like he owns the bloody place. I’d be salty about that too if I was D’leah.
I could write a whole essay about the difference in her headspace and why she reacted to the whole Ty Mess the way she did but that’s prolly a little heavy for a headcanon post (and is once again Complicated) so I am not going to do that. If you’re curious you can either ask (in the askbox or in DMs) and/or wait for the breadcrumbs to come when I start releasing the twins’ parts of the series 😬
-I’ve mentioned how she replaces Kallig’s ghost for Ni’kasi in my HCs before, and it’s absolutely Subterfugeverse canon that Ghost Mom continues to stick around and help the twins right up until the final fight with Valkorion at the end of KOTET. And probably after that, too, though much more sporadically at that point because it’s clear the twins are fine on their own so it’s more a case of “they can come find her if they need her help otherwise she’s gonna let them do their thing”
-If she were to ever run into Satele while she’s prowling around in the Odessen wilderness she likely would chew her (and Senya she also has something to say about your taste in men, Senya :’) ) out for being a shitty mom to Theron after learning from her own mistakes with Saarai/Ty and patching that up. Satele wouldn’t know what hit her. XD
-Also helps Ni’kasi, Lana and the others to drag Valkorion out of Vano’s head for good when the time comes, I like to headcanon that exorcising Valkorion’s spirit from Vano’s head would’ve been a lot more damaging/painful without D’leah’s help. Another spirit-being that he can’t manipulate or weaken certainly helped them to give him the shove and not kill Vano in the process.
-She likes to keep Kas’s crew on their toes by randomly moving objects and suchlike on the ship or suddenly popping up (sometimes as a disembodied voice for those who lack the ability to “see” ghosts - poor Andronikos, Talos gets a fright a few times but adjusts a lot quicker than the poor pirate LOL) to remind them to stay on task if she thinks they’re slacking too much. She may be a 400+ year old ghost at this point but she still has a sense of humour! XD
-She’s canonically Lawful Evil on an alignment chart and absolutely would have had No Mercy for the Republic or the Jedi (see again: the Jedi/Sith colonisation thing which IMO is justified for her, given the information we have on all of that. You don’t have to agree and if you don’t that’s fine but that’s my take on it LMAO) but to the rest of the Empire? Actually a pretty good leader and definitely better than Valkorion; none of that slavery bullshit in the Subterfugeverse pre-Valkorion era, thank you, I’ve talked on a lengthy rant before about why we aren’t doing that ;) Also, older Sith and Overseers were definitely held accountable in making sure that acolytes/underaged apprentices were trained safely and without being made to kill each other. That’s all Vitiate/Valkorion in Subterfugeverse - a slightly band-aid solution maybe but I have to fix the mess somehow and I don’t feel like doing that much brain gymnastics. She’s definitely a no-bullshit gal but she’s not about killing kids

Squirm for the OC of your chouce!
from [Uncomfortable Headcanon Asks], thank you for asking! Sorry this one took a while, I was super unwell most of this week and couldn’t string sentences together to answer this properly for you qAq 💖
Tumblr media
SQUIRM - is your muse interested in going to dates? what was their worst one?
I’m gonna hand this one over to Ni’kasi, since I think she has the most interesting potential answers!
-She’s kinda a bit of a paradox, on one hand she hates the idea of dates, and the expectation that PDA will be involved (she hates hates PDA, which I’ll explain abit more below) in said date, but she also expects any potential man to put in a bit of effort before things get too “serious” and a date is usually the go-to for showing that, which means sometimes she’s had to try and compromise on that front.
-PDA is a big no for her, being Sith (and how she was raised and taught too), you learn quickly that open and obvious PDA is a liability. If a rival or enemy Sith sees you canoodling with your partner(s), then they know that person is important to you and they can use them against you and vice versa. If you don’t show any outward, obvious signs of affection in public, it becomes more like guesswork, and therefore you’re less likely to be dangerous to each other in the long run, and this is how Kas likes to operate, even with Andronikos. You’ll never catch them holding hands or kissing in front of other people unless it’s like...one of them nearly died and that rule goes out of the window in the relief of realising they aren’t hurt type of thing. 🤷‍♀️
-She doesn’t really remember specifics of any “worst dates”, she’s long forgotten any of their names, but she did attempt a few. All were incredibly awkward, they were overly chatty and/or tried too hard to impress her, or tried to hold her hand and she just didn’t care for it which made all said dates Automatically Awful.
-I guess we can count her first technical “date” with Andronikos here, too. Having to interrupt your first almost-sorta-kinda-date in order to go kick in the door to House Organa because Zash wants the darn artefact and she can’t risk Zash getting impatient? That kinda sucked. Kas was not amused. 😂
-Kas isn’t aro, she’s just....incredibly secretive and rather “picky” and dates seem too personal, she’d rather just jump into bed with a guy and get the itch scratched and be done with it. She’s seen what “falling in love” did to both her mother and her sister and the thought of someone else having that much power over her emotions without even trying or knowing that they do is terrifying to her, so generally speaking unless a guy whittles her down and manages to convince her to go on a date, she won’t bother. She did enjoy the bar date with Andronikos though, which surprised her!

Subterfugeverse Headcanons: “Kallig’s” Ghost
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m in a weird mood where I want to make art and content but also have ARTBLOCK (tm) so take some more random headcanons/worldbuilding instead!!
So, we all know the Kallig ghost introduction, but of course in Subterfugeverse, we’re canon-divergent anarchy SO Ni’kasi doesn’t get Kallig’s Force ghost. She gets her mom, D’leah instead. Sometimes I think Kas lowkey wishes she’d gotten Kallig; mom means well but sometimes she is A Bit Much
And I probably will make a follow-up doodle post type thing of this one day when Artblock Stops Beating Me With A Stick, but it always amuses the heck out of me that the default reaction is to...shoot Force lightning...at the intangible ghost...really, Kas??
And Kallig never really reacts to it, maybe he doesn’t care, but the thing is...D’leah would care. And I can’t help but think how fucking funny it’s going to be for Kas to have that (obvs heavily altered for my own worldbuilding/lore to fit into things) “flesh of my flesh beware of Khem Val and Zash” conversation thing with her mom; because while that will be the main point I’m sure before that there will be a tangent of “I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU TRIED TO SHOOT ME WITH LIGHTNING” “But I didn’t know it was you okay I panicked!!” “[not fully paying attention, off on a Scolding Rant] -the fact that you thought that would work on a spirit is frankly quite concerning, nevermind not paying attention to your surroundings in order to be surprised in the first place, I raised you better than this, you know AND ANOTHER THING how could you do that to me! I am hypothetically wounded” “Mother, please, I said I was sorry ;-;”
And you can bet it comes up again, too. I’m sure D’leah makes much more frequent appearances than Kallig does in a well-meaning attempt to help guide her daughter on the right path of course, but from Kas’s point of view it must be kind of annoying to have your mom there in your head popping up to be like *angry Sith mom muttering* every time something happens.
I imagine “Mother, I love you, but please shut up, for five minutes, and let me s l e e p” becomes a regular request as well. D’leah might even be able to “help” with keeping Horak Mul and the other ghosts “in line” a bit on Kas’s bad days. Ghost Mom was bossy in life and you can bet she’s bossy in the afterlife as well XD
I have some more ramblings (tm) to “fill in the plotholes” of how she’d be hanging around in the Dark Temple as well but y’know this post is long so maybe if it crops up I’ll put them down but for now, trust me, I thought about it and I do have an answer other than “just because” (not that it should matter because it’s my fanfic and I can do what I want but hey, just in case!) :’D

Important OC Asks: What Does your OC smell like?
I was tagged by @a-muirehen , thank you! :D
I shall tag (sorry if you’ve already been tagged, feel free to ignore if you don’t want to, as always!) : @pauletta-00 , @kyber-heart , @mercurypilgrim , @thelastenvoyyy and anybody else who sees this and wants to do it. Yes, I promise, I mean you that’s reading this right now :3
There have been a lot of great OC Ask posts circulating, but how about THIS one? What does your original character smell like? And why? You wouldn’t think this would be terribly important, but think about it. It informs not simply on your OC’s personal hygiene, but on your oc’s environment. What do they do regularly and who they do it with? There’s a lot there! And let’s not forget that there are individuals and creatures who rely on smell to identify your OC! So share with us what your OC smells like, and WHY they smell that way! We’ll all learn a lot!
And we are, of course, gonna do the twins! Stupid question, you knew it was gonna be them hahaha
Tumblr media
In one word, Saarai is tropical. Palm trees, crisp air and heavy rainstorms. The smell of salt clings to her hair particularly strongly. She spent several decades on Rishi, working outdoors for most of the time and thus, even though she has since left Rishi behind to join the Alliance, the scents are still unmistakably hers. It’s fresh but not unpleasant, though this may change depending upon the situation...
If she’s been in battle recently, there’ll be a noticable undertone of blood, and if it was a violent confrontation it may even drown out her usual smell. She is a rather savage fighter when she gets into it (especially defending her loved ones) and if you square up with her, you will be limping away bleeding - possibly quite profusely, depending on the nature of said fight.
Tumblr media
Ni’kasi, on the other hand, is rather more refined, she most often smells of sandalwood and lilies, it’s her favourite shampoo and soap. One of the very first things that she looked forward to after regaining her “Sith” status was frequent as-necessary access to a shower/bathtub again and she always makes use of it. She’s a lady and she will smell like one, damn it, not some sort of hooligan that’s been tromping through the mud and grit of the Kaasian jungle for days on end. There’s often an undertone of cool granite, or marble, particularly when she’s been in and around old tombs to look for old artefacts or manuscripts, and on occasion, if she’s been with Andronikos a lot, you may find her starting to smell faintly of his aftershave (though she’ll never admit to it!)
Like most Inquisitors, I imagine, when she builds up enough static to start casting lightning, you’ll smell it before you see it. If the stink of ozone becomes so thick that it’s cloying, you know you’ve made her mad and honestly, you should be running.
