Gritt was asleep... even though he looked very uncomfortable and trembled. Withdrawals were kicking his ass, and a bucket was set beside his bed.

Someone was awake in the bedroom though, Snoot blinking as he recognized Elutheria. His tail wagged as he gave a very quiet squeak.

you can get assaying only by going to Albion (london) and buying the equipment from the shipyards there. its an aux slot equipment and your only option at low skill levels. if you have hearts 60 you can go to the blue kingdom's sky barnet (which should just be really close to the transit relay actually) and get a rad hull upgrade that also lets you assay while keeping your aux slots free, which is amazing tbh. costs a few thousand sovereigns though. (theres a timekeeping office device thingy sidequest in london, that gives you an item called a ravelling jack. that just needs to be in your inventory to use it, which i didnt know for a while after starting it. no its not relevant to assaying but w/e)

at the royal society (a port in the Albion/london map, located within a sort of cave system so you rarely can access it easily from the center) you can trade for experimental modifications, which allow you to buy cool hybrid and custom ship equipments, like a cannery that takes up the bridge slot, and crew quarters that also increase storage space. you can trade visions of the heavens and otherworldly artifacts for the modifications (or munitions, which the port sells), and they dont cost cash. also theres a short sidequest you can do where a researcher asks you to copy runes for access to their cool shop of better modifications- you only need to visit one of the locations they give you to complete that. once you have the alt equipment in the bank theyre great for switching out for whatever build you need, even with new captains.

once you get an atani class-outrider (a late to endgame engine which has lots of aux slots and is very fast, which you can only get after going through elutheria (scary) and spending like 10k moneys on it but its basically the best engine in the game imo) you can have over 30 inventory while also having all the gathering actions equipped at once.

also also whenever you die and start a captain on a new legacy, it keeps your map, but also immediately gives all exploration xp and the contents of your bank to your new creature so theyll start above level 1 the majority of the time. however, if youve been to london you start in london, which tbh isnt that bad.

His eyes seem to be a little less dark than normal, like he was actually putting some effort into sleeping better, and when he stared at her, it wasn’t so full of obvious remorse.

Hey!! Recently I've read the Gods of the Dark and it has made me so curious that I always come back just to check if you've updated:) I'll be excited for the next part!!! While going through your fanfic suggestions I came across the exit by apotatomashedbybts and I'm extremely thankful to you😭Thankyou so much for recommending such great fics😭🩷It was very hard for me to find fanfics like Gods of the Dark and the exit is exactly like that! Btw the author has updated the next part named as elutheria if you'd like to read it<3

Hi anon! Gods of the Dark III is not done yet - I have really been struggling with this piece so I'm trying to work on other projects so I don't get stuck for weeks at a time like the last time I was stuck! I am writing it slowly, however! I am super glad that you like it and hope I can get it done soon.

AHHH I'm so glad you found The Exit by @apotatomashedbybts! It is SO haunting and such an immersive read. I have not had a chance to read the second part yet, but I am SO SO SO SO excited to get to it. For anyone looking for a spooky, otherworldly read, I highly recommend it!!

Lizzie is ADORABLE.

For as long as she could remember she grew up in an orphanage in the Reach, run by the nefarious Madame Florence. The younger children, five and under, were allowed a bit of freedom, but were restricted to the orphanage grounds, cleaning, and keeping the rooms orderly. The older children were sent out pickpocketing with their "wages" garnished to keep the orphanage (and Madame Florence's lifestyle) running.

Lizzie ended up being quite valuable with the highest pickpocket rate of any of the children. She was the perfect height to slip away unnoticed and after roaming the streets for a bit, looked so sooty she could blend into any alleyway.

However, being Madame Florence's "prize" picker ostracized her from most of the other children, and she only had two friends: Benji and Sally. When she turned 8 - old enough to make proper decisions for herself thank you very much - she decided to run away from the orphanage with Benji and Sally. They got separated in the hubbub of escape, but Lizzie snuck aboard the Pyrrhus and hid in their pantry (a respectable hiding place, of course) and tried to lay low until they reached the Elutheria relay.

She also loves kipper snacks. :) (Sunless Skies equivalent of hardtack.)

Walking two fingers up along Pentious's sternum, Eluthéria lays her head on his shoulder a mischievous smile pulling on the corners of her black lips.

"Are you feeling a little bit less shy now that we're I private?"

"I, ah... yessss?" Despite that, technically, being true, feeling the woman's fingers dancing up his chest, her head on his shoulder, all made him freeze up in surprise regardless. Surprise and... arousal, to be sure.

"Um... b-but only if you are certain, of coursssse!"

Angel Dust, who wasn’t expecting to have Elutheria holding a hand out toward him, blinks in confusion, looking down toward where the angel was standing. The way she seemed to be shaking was enough to have him slowly raise a brow, and he slowly moves to put her hand in his own, not entirely sure what was happening. Maybe she was having some really intense high?

“…Uhhh…Hun? You alright there? Need some water? Something to eat?”

"How are you doing, star-boy?"

Gritt was half asleep after his photoshoot, about ready to head home and call it a day when Elutheria snuck up behind him. "Hm? Oh, I'm good, just been real fuckin' busy. Lots of concerts and photoshoots and signings. Its non stop right now."
