this was only the first episode of Kongen Befaler (TM Norway) series 10...
a chicken fillet...
a real gun...
a pear...on fire...
but before that...getting stressed when there's no fire...
lighter fluid & petrol...
almost killing the TM's assistant (Olli)...
...but more fire...
slightly surprised about the fire...
...then being disappointed about the fire...
BUT more fire...
a little house climbing...
a little hammock time...
before flying..? fire? with a... drone?
and making a pulley system to slide...fire..? down from the house?
lastly...

NRK med historisk direktesending fra Pride
Fredag 25. juni blir det en regnbuefarget direktesending fra Spikersuppa i Oslo. Her skal NRK ta pulsen på Pridefeiringene i hovedstaden og i resten av landet. Silje Nordnes og Benjamin M. 10. most enjoyable swear word in your native language?
huh... enjoyable... i mean i quite like saying “hæstkuk” (horse cock) but it has to be said in a strong northern accent to be fun (or even make sense tbh) which i have to fake cos i don’t speak with a northern accent, if that counts? otherwise ima agree with michael and say that i enjoy stringing together several curse words until i sound like a drunken sailor, which i do a lot whenever something goes wrong (stub my toe, drop food on the floor, knock something over, walk into a glass door, etc)
15. a saying, joke, or hermetic meme that only people from your country will get?
“og det er rosinen i pølsa” aka “and that’s the raisin in the hot dog”, it just sounds odd and sorta gross
27. favourite national celebrity?
hmm... i’ve loved else kåss furuseth (comedian, reporter, tv host) since i first saw her in a program back in 2009-ish, she’s so funny and she’s super open about shit she’s had to deal with on account of being a plus sized woman, losing her mum and her brother to suicide, being voluntarily childless and being a lesbian, and also she has the most infectious laugh which i appreciate a lot in a person

This podcast is conducted by the sisters Else and Cecilie Kåss Furuseth. Else asked Tarjei if he had any dreams he wanted to come true and he replied that he really wanted to act in a music video of the band No. 4, Else tells him he can fix it and Tarjei replies that he tried to keep in touch with in the middle of his friend Mattis, who sent a photo of him, but has not received any response, at that moment Else decides to call them because he knows them and the poor man of Tarjei becomes very nervous 😅, Cecilie while Else tries to communicate asks him in what kind music video would like to participate and he replies that he is one in which he is and that there is music of No. 4 in the background, for him it would be great. At that moment the call comes in but goes straight to the answering machine of Ingeborg (band member), Else decides to leave the message explaining about Tarjei's dream and asks him to also say a few words and he all nervous says "Well me, me. .. I think I am a suitable actor to act in a music video of No. 4, because I am a true boy from Oslo that adapts to his lyrics and type of music. I am a bit sad and welcoming, just like his music I think I could play that role ... Any role you need in a music video "and Else ends the message saying, Ingeborg just returns the call, you already have a new actor. See you later. When Tarjei has already left (20 minutes later) the phone rings and it's Ingeborg returning the call, Else greets her and explains about Tarjei's conversation about her dream of being in one of her videos, Ingerborg tells her it would be an honor for them to have it in a video and that is probably enough to find an idea, a director and make a video and a new song, Ingeborg really sounds excited and eager to work with Tarjei. And this is the story of how Tarjei, the Dahlsbakken brothers and close friends have been part of this latest album by the band called "DUELL". I hope this summary is to your liking.

02.22.2021 🇧🇻 Crown Princess Mette-Marit speaks of fracturing her tailbone: “It is simply the worst thing I have experienced” Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway participated recently in a podcast for the Norwegian state TV-channel NRK. The podcast was the first solo event that the Crown Princess participated in for almost a year. In the recording, Her Royal Highness discusses many things, including the recent fracture in her coccyx (tailbone). In the podcast, the host Else Kåss Furuseth jokingly asked the Crown Princess if one has to enjoy skiing in order to be part of the Norwegian Royal Family. Her Royal Highness said: “I really like skiing. Right now, I have just started skiing again, because I managed to break my tailbone just before Christmas. It was so embarrassing. In addition, it is not because I am a Crown Princess or anything, but first and foremost because I was alone on the ground with my children, and they think it was so embarrassing. I was in so much pain that I could not stop howling. I laughed and just screamed, because it is simply the worst thing I have experienced.”

I just listened to this whole podcast episode and it was really interesting. It was with psychologist Kari Anne Vrabel, psychiatrist Finn Skårderud, and the comedian Else Kåss Furuseth (you might know that she went to school with Julie Andem), Sigrid Sollund (has written a book about «supression techniques», like when Noora called William Wilhelm) and of course Henrik Holm. This was episode number 100 and I just realized that I need to listen to them all (mental health is a special interest of mine).
The teaser before the episode kinda put me off, though, since the interviewer a) said that Henrik played gay not pan and b) basically called him beautiful meat or something, but I get now that she has this very light atmosphere and that she's not a journalist but is a layman who has bipolar disorder herself.
The episode starts out letting the psychiatrist and psychologist talk a little about mental health in general and how psychology and psychiatry has delt with it. They talk really well about it all. The other guests, Else and Sigrid are really fun and interesting to listen to, as well. Else talks about the thoughts that hindered her in contacting a therapist. She also mentions that she thinks people in other countries are more used to going to therapists than we are in Norway. And then Henrik comes on and of course he’s so reflective and kind and it’s just wonderful to listen to.
The psyichiatrist, Finn Skårderud (he’s pretty famous in Norway, works with eating disorders) says Skam is the best Norway has exported since Ibsen and Munch. <3. He shows that he really knows the show, he mentions that he hopes that Julie Andem manages to make something interesting of the show in Austin, Texas. He’s basically a fan! He raves about it, actually. He says this show gives some good tips about how to handle difficult things. Helps the kids to understand things. The show also teaches kids that it’s possible to stand in their emotions and tolerate them. Skårderud also says the show is so good because it has this realism and humor at the same time, helping kids to laugh of themselves.
The other guests prove to be big Skamfans too (Else has spoken about that before in other settings).
Most of the things Henrik is saying has been translated already, so I won’t say much about it. Just that I loved to hear him describe how he worked to portray Even. And how amazed he is that viewers could watch the show and recognize their own illness. And wow, they make the joke that Henrik could make a podcast. He says he has thought about it... lol.
The psychologist, Kari Anne Vrabel, praises the show for making strong female characters. Especially today when many girls goes the other way, narrowing their lives in many ways.
Henrik also talks about us Norwegian keeping a lot of stuff to ourselves, although things have changed these last years and we have become better at talking about stuff like mental health. He says Skam is important to show that we can be open about things like mental health. They all talk about the importance of talking about things like this and they put it all in a historical perspective.
The psychiatrist talks about the importance of representation in art, literature and TV. He mentions Prozac Nation as an example.
The psychiatrist is very philosophical and puts everything in a historical perspective. The psychologist, too. They also talk about language and how calling the kids "generation perfection" (a loose translation of the Norwegian term) can be harming. How it's good to have openness about mental health but that it's important how we talk about it, too.
Ah... then it's done. This was fun. Henrik was so sweet and open hearted. The interviewer asked some interesting questions. I will definitely check out the other episodes, too.
This was maybe not so interesting to so many of you, but I just felt like writing down the things I could recall. Anyway. Listening to a podcast about mental health was a perfect Friday evening, if you ask me.

AURORA’s little story from Else Kåss Furuseth’s podcast (September 19th, 2021)
Aurora: I nearly killed a guy earlier today.. Else: What? A: No... Hehe... It was with kindness... I think I made him uncomfortable, because there was so much I had to say... E: Who was it? A: It was just a man. He had a dog that matched the clothes he was wearing... Hehe... And he had four earrings in one of his ears... E: Yes... A: But noone in the other... E: Then you stepped up to him, and you said..? A: Then I said: 'I really like the balance, but also the unbalance... " - hehe... Because there was unbalance between his ears, but there was balance between him and the dog... E: Hehe... How did he react? A: He was a bit scared... And then I winked at him.. And then I backed away... I walked backwards around the corner... E: OK... So first you say you like the unbalance in the balance, and then you winked... A: ... And then I winked... And then walked backwards all away around the corner... I felt that was the smoothest way to get out of that situation... So that he might forget that I ever came over. E: He will never forget that. A: He will never forget. E: There is a guy sitting somewhere thinking: "What was that?" A: "What was that? THAT!?"
