PRISOUNEBOUND

It’s the Penultimate Fanadventure, so you know what that means: IT’S PRISOUNEBOUND TIME BABY! Time to watch a crying girl and a Scottish(?) prisoner duke it out for supremacy or whatever the heck this is. Sorry I’m just really silly right now, it’s 6:23 and I just got done my daily dose of thinking about “what if *I* made a fanadventure” and I’ve got the perfect hook for it. But that’s in the future, at least, the far off future. What’s in the future right now…is PRISOUNEBOUND. Which btw I pronounce like “PrizOUNbound” if that’s incorrect feel free to judge me or whatever. Don’t do that though I’m very fragile. Okay this introduction is getting far too silly let’s just do this.

First off, I love this background of like…confetti? I like celebrations of like, getting through Act 1 or your first year on the site intact, and still on trucking. That’s something I feel like all Fanadventures should get, if you upd8 on your anniversary there should be confetti on the site if you have an anniversary of your comic and it’s still ongoing and upd8ed recently (6 months is I think the running total but I’m not sure). Man I’m not going to get any good analysis out of me tonight which is shame since this *is* the penultimate Fanadventure and here I am talking about Confetti like a chump. Oh well, that’s just how it goes I guess.

Love how no frills this adventure is currently being (and thus is being in line with other neoclassical works such as Egomanicas or Paradox Struck). Skipping the naming gag and skipping right to the trolls…first dialogue with each other. Okay that joke kind of stunk but whatever. I also like how I know right away what one note/archetype this character is going to hit—the emotional one. The fragile one. Just like me!!!!!!!! Cool.

Okay on a more serious note, I like it when SBURBventures give the characters a more serious motivation to play the SBURB-esque game of the Fanadventure than just “It’s the latest game” or “you gotta do it.” Why does our Scottish troll play it? Because it literally is his main ticket out of his prison that he has spent his entire time in. Bam. Motivation established, and because there’s motivation, I can more easily track what’s at stake. FREEDOM is at stake. And also hey, you know what, it also gives Ellith more characterization too—she’s the kind of friend who will help out a friend! She’s playing the game not for herself, but for her friend, who she cares about, *even though she’s never even played a game before.* NEAT!!!!!!!! (Also I’m really digging this orange pallet that’s like. filtered over everything? It’s really cool, sells the deep woods kind of vibe of the beginning of this Fanadventure).

Okay so you should probably read Prisounebound? It’s pretty fun and it’s got really good characterization. It’s knows what roles the characters should play and the notes the characters in the story want to hit and it’s not SUBTLE about it, but you know what, that’s okay, sometimes you don’t need to be subtle. Sometimes you should whack your audience over the hit with a four ton weight because you want them to know where they stand, i.e. over the rug you are about pull. Or whatever. That was a messy metaphor and a weird way to end a review but yeah go check this one out it’s a good one.

If this is too spoiler-ey feel free not to answer but is Junice considered their Tealblood?? She seems too bright for Teal so is she a mutant?? And If she is why doesn’t Korpus hate her like he does Ellith

Prisounebound's Hemospectrum plays alot differently from the Original Hemospectrum of Homestuck. the full color spectrum is in use with the Twelve Main categories of blood such as Rust to Fuschia respectively.

As time went on, colors started to mix and form different hues and shades. It became widely accepted that blood colors would always vary from their original caste classification. For someone to be considered a Mutant on the Hemospectrum, at least one of their values must reach the 255 limit on the RGB scale.

Junice is apart of the Cerulean Caste in the 'Pacific Blue' Subclass
