2) Kataang from Avatar: The Last Airbender

Literally they were the first ship I ever shipped. I’ve shipped this pairing since I was like 8 years old. They are very near and dear to my heart and they are so cute and perfect together and they spark so much joy and I am SO EXCITED for the movie!!!!

My favorite character of all time is Light Yagami from Death Note. I fucking LOVE his character so much. I just love everything about him. The way he’s written, the nuance, his whole aesthetic. It’s so *chefs kiss* and I have so many thoughts about him. I am NOT one of those death note “fans” that hates Light or drags his character lol. I am a Light enjoyer unapologetically and he imo is one of the best villains of ALL TIME

Another character I love immensely is Carl Grimes from The Walking Dead comic book. Not the show cuz the show is trash! I used to relate so much to Carl growing up bc I read the comic book as a teen. He’s forever cemented as one of my favorite characters of all time. Also I love the character design and how he’s kind of an anti hero

I also love Ellie Williams from The Last of Us 1 and 2 for the same reason. She reminds me a lot of Carl in the “anti hero” sense. She’s also such a badass. Love those video games !!!!

I also love Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan. Can you tell I like morally questionable characters? Lol. Eren was always and will always remain my favorite character in AOT. He’s kind of crazy but I like it lol and I kind of relate 🤣

Aang from ATLA is also one of my favorite characters. He’s got a sick character design, I love the way he’s written and he’s genuinely a huge comfort character to me. His character arc makes me cry it’s so well done and I love his personality. His character makes me very happy :)

Lastly I think another fav character is Will Byers from Stranger Things. I relate heavily HEAVILY with him. Not only that he’s an artist like me, or his personality which is similar to me as well, but also his upbringing with an abusive father and lastly the fact he’s canonically a gay guy like me makes me feel very represented in the show. He’s my favorite in the entire cast of characters. Love him to death and Noah Schnapp was such a perfect cast and he acts his ass off every second of screen time

as a child, she was filled with wonder at each new day for each new day answered one curiosity and brought a hundred more in its place. her eyes would widen almost comically when she discovered something not easily explained or something she was not ready to understand. not all discoveries were great — both in the sense of size and meaning. finding out her mother had been santa claus all along was meaningful for a brief period in her life. but it also meant her mother loved her enough to let her believe in magic just a little bit longer before age and the loss of wonder would inevitably catch up with her. her elder sister calling her a freak for the first time seemed like such a small thing at the time — just a bit of name calling between siblings who spent too much time together — but was instead a cruel beginning to a tumultuous relationship with someone that she had always assumed would be there for her. even that could not kill her thirst for life and all the adventures it would bring. most discoveries were great ones, ones that filled her imagination to the brim with the many possibilities of life. but every child must grow up and discover for themself that the magic they had clung to as children was gone forever and replaced with the monotony of adult life. but for a lucky few, this moment never comes. lily evans was one of the few. for much of her life, lily has heard the same few words used to describe her. passionate, charming, intelligent, and above all, kind. she has a heart full of fire, offering warmth to those close to her and scorching remarks to those in the wrong. she wasn’t perfect by any means, of course; she was the first to admit that. she wasn’t one to shy from confrontation, especially if another was being wronged. of course, that meant she probably inserted herself into situations when she shouldn’t, but lily was never one to let a perceived bully win. she was stubborn as a mule, as her father always told her, but she wasn’t completely unwilling to change. she’s never struggled to forgive another, but she never forgets what they’ve done to her. but she was so full of life, always wanting to reach higher and higher for whatever was just out of reach. independence almost seemed strange to lily. leaving hogwarts and losing her parents so close to her own entry into the adult world along with the rise of someone who would threaten the entire world truly shaped the way lily began to view the world. she optimistic, but not naive about what was going on in the world. as a child, she had always been told that good always triumphed over evil in the end. as a teenager, she learned that while good may win, there will always be losses. and now? well, things have certainly changed. lily had always been convinced in happy endings, had known everything would be okay in the end. but now it feels like they are approaching the end of the story, and there’s no happy ending in sight.

lily got a cat shortly before her sixth year at hogwarts. it was a small thing, the runt of the litter, but she fell in love anyways. it wasn’t supposed to survive, but she recognized the determination and will to live and bottle fed him until he was healthy. she named him apollo, but calls him paul and brought him back to hogwarts with her, calling him her good luck charm. she's had him ever since.

while she is working with the order, she is also in training to become a healer at st. mungo's.

her parents died during her seventh year at hogwarts in a car accident. something so mundane when the world was filled with magic was something that never quite made sense to her. she threw herself into her studies afterwards as a way to cope.

lily’s favorite band is and has always been the beatles mainly due to her parents. they'd always play old records while making sunday morning breakfast, and laugh while dancing around the kitchen. after her parent's deaths, she inherited that record player and od records, and they never fail to cheer her up. some of her favorite memories include the beatles playing in the background.

lily's boggart has changed over the course of her life. when she was a child, it would have taken the form of the boogeyman her father told her stories about. while she was in hogwarts, it took the form of petunia turning her back on her. however after leaving hogwarts and seeing the direction the wizarding world may be heading, when people actually started dying, it took the form of her loved ones perishing while she stood by and watched.

you  spend  some  time  seeking  refuge  in  the  spring  and  summer  courts,  enough  to  know  that  there  were  some  fae  that  did  not  hold  the  views  of  hybern,  or  the  queen,  some  that  showed  kindness  and  compassion  for  all  that  was  lost,  and  all  that  was  still  to  lose.

but  one  unfortunately  interaction  led  you  into  the  hands  of  the  king  of  hybern,  a  mortal  plaything  locked  up  and  treated  as  little  more  than  test  subject  for  his  nefarious  deeds.  put  on  display,  meant  to  act  as  dutiful  servant,  and  yet  the  king  of  hybern  still  saw  a  spark  in  you,  as  fiery  as  your  hair,  that  kept  you  alive  just  that  little  longer.

with  the  cauldron  in  his  grasp,  and  no  shortage  of  potential,  the  king  knew  what  he  was  doing  when  he  dragged  you,  kicking  and  screaming,  into  it.  he  was  showing  the  world  what  power  lay  in  his  hands,  what  he  could  do  to  defiant  and  obedient  mortals  alike.

when  you  emerged  from  those  murky  depths,  you  were  not  the  same  as  when  you  entered  it;  ears  pointed  where  smooth  curve  had  once  been,  limbs  foreign  and  difficult  to  adjust  too  —  like  small  child  still  learning  to  carry  themselves,  and  as  familiar  as  you  were  unrecognizable  when  you  first  saw  yourself  again.  

but  the  memories  of  your  time  in  the  cauldron,  that  short  eternity,  and  the  human  nightmares,  oh  how  they  lingered  still.  and  how  they  lingered  even  when  rescue  came  in  the  form  of  a  fleet  of  summer  court  ships,  or  sanctuary  was  found  within  dawn  courts  borders.

it  took  months  to  gather  any  sense  of  bearings,  and  more  months  still  to  even  considering  returning  to  the  things  you’d  once  enjoyed  doing.  but  you  found  that  busying  your  hands  stilled  the  turmoil  in  your  mind,  and  mending  armor  and  dressing  the  members  of  the  dawn  court  became  more  necessity  than  joy.

you  spend  another  almost  two  years  in  the  dawn  court,  labeled  an  oddity  and  studied  endlessly,  not  even  you  could  understand  what  of  the  cauldron’s  powers  had  turned  you  fae.  nor  did  you  want  to,  cursing  the  very  thing  that  took  away  your  mortality  and  thrust  you  into  a  life  where  you  would  never  quite  fit  in.  feared  by  mortals,  disregarded  by  fae.  

and  when  the  offer  came  to  join  the  winter  court  as  the  royal  seamstress,  you  were  eager  to  oblige,  and  you’ve  been  content  to  remain  amidst  the  snow  and  furs  until  the  time  came  to  venture  to  the  mountain.

TLDR .

human  seamstress  made  high  fae  via  the  cauldron  after  being  forced  to  watch  her  parents  die  and  having  to  flee  into  the  faerie  lands  in  search  of  respite,  only  to  be  captured  and  tortured  by  the  king  of  hybern.  was  eventually  able  to  seek  refuge  in  dawn  court,  though  it  took  her  about  a  year  to  well  and  truly  recover,  now  she  works  for  the  winter  court  and  just  pours  herself  into  her  work  to  take  her  mind  off  of  the  trauma  that  haunts  her  still.  has  a  sibling  that  is  still  alive  but  she  has  spent  about  the  last  5-6  years  thinking  was  dead  and  doesn’t  know  any  different  so,  you  know.

1) horizon zero dawn. that’s it that’s the post. every single environment is so gorgeous, i have so many environment shots that i’ll probably start sharing soon. if you want to get specific i love the nora heartlands the most, i spend wayyy too much time in photomode staring at the trees lol

2) ellie’s seattle day 2, specifically when you’re leaving to go find nora. the moody twilight atmosphere is just so good

3) zeffo from fallen order! in general i’m just a sucker for a nice, slightly overcast kind of vibe

4) nyc from spidey / miles morales. the details are actually so incredible and i love the fact that for the most part it actually is like a mini model of nyc. sometimes i just like to boot it up and swing around just to hang out in the city. bonus points for when it’s rainy or snowy i love it so much

a 2020 wrap up/

it’s already the new year when i’m writing this. my room is still bright with its light on, the heater running, a cup of tea on my side and fuzzy socks on. 2020 wow! another year has passed and what a turbulent year it was. i supposed i’m one of the lucky ones who didn’t feel the effects of it as much as the majority. immediately it is one thing i am grateful of and many more.

some of them comes in the form of you.

to my precious mutuals and followers,

soon enough it’ll be two years for this little corner. i hope this space has provided you some escape from reality. thank you for your all support and encouragement, direct and indirect. i treasure every single one of you here! fingers crossed i can give you more content to enjoy this year! it might not be many but i hope the quality stays constant or better. who knows how i will grow this year. we all will grow this year. i hope 2021 will bring you more positivity and blessings! we’ll get through this!
