This one got a little kick.
😔 Of course it wouldn’t when they’ll be focused on the Harry Potter reboot tv series.
Both a blessing and a curse since they won’t be able to butcher further the canon events but I won’t find closure for my old tragic yaoi divorce in 1945. 😭😭😭😭

you know what i don’t understand with george (and maybe in here comes my lack of sportsperson mentality)
but if i was teammates with the greatest ever in the sport i would cling to him like a parasite. learn everything i possibly can. study his moves. the way he reacts. how he manages different situations. just absorb all the info i can.
one thing i would not do is focus so much on beating him that i ruin my own race
george here has such a good opportunity and he’s wasting it trying to prove he is better than lewis.
george, dear, no one is better than lewis. no one.

It's always Lewis who has to let it go and move on, isn't it?!
Let go of the racial comments dressed as jokes, let go of the racial bias, let go of how they doubted and still doubt him.
Let go of the abuse, let go of how different he's been treated.
He is the one who needs to let go of what happened in 21' and move on.
A huge part of why his fan base is as closed in on itself is because they are 24/7 trying to validate his place in a sport where he's not allowed to feel and be human without backlash.
His story in f1 is a cycle of: when he's snappy he should be more level headed, when he answers on track it's mind games, when he talks he should take it on the chin, when he keeps quiet it's all pr agenda.
So yeah, Newey, we get you'd deal with what happened differently, but you weren't in that car. You didn't go through what he did. He doesn't need to let it go like you'd have supposedly done so.
His feelings, and however long it took for him to process them, are valid.

I heard mogan say this in an interview and I thought it was interesting to think about so here's a quick rant about Ella. So like Morgan was being asked about tge characters she plays (Ella if you some how didn’t get that from the beginning) and she mentions how Ella feels very much more like a teenager in the film, and I have to agree with that. She's very much more grounded, and blunt in the way you'd expect from someone who's realized just how shitty life can be. A trait that she shares with Red, who is another character who grew up poorly and tended to see things through a more jaded lens.
She also goes on to say that she thinks that because Ella didn’t have the best life growing up she channels all that energy into a protectiveness, and like I just don't feel like that's talked about enough because it's my favorite part of her character. Like throughout the story you hear Ella talk about her disdain for royalty and how Bridget is different, and how she's the strongest person she knows, and I just find that so interesting, because that protectiveness stems from a kind of selfishness in a way. She wants to keep Bridget safe because she doesn't want to have to believe that all of the world is this cruel. She wants to believe that if someone like Bridget can exist then there has to be good somewhere.
Bridget reminds her that there's good in the world, that maybe if you shine your light on the world, the world could shine back. And even if she doesn't completely believe that she's willing to protect Bridget’s light with her life because right now it's the only one she has. The only proof she has of good people existing, so yeah in Ella’s eyes she is different, and for not letting her light go out for all this time she is really strong, and Ella wants to protect her from the world's cruelty for as long as possible, and she does the same thing with Chloe decades later. She has this pattern of shielding the people she loves from all that's bad in the world (to the best of her ability) that she doesn't exactly know how to teach them to protect themselves. I.e Chloe’s naivety when she apologized to Lady Tremaine and Bridget falling for the prank. I don't know, I just feel like the people around Ella tend to become too reliant on her and it's really interesting because there's this fierce loyalty in Ella’s character that seems despite everything to never be enough.

also watched Cinderella (2015) on the plane and was struck for the first time by the parallel of Ella’s mother asking her young daughter to forgive her for leaving so soon, and Ella, finally walking out of their home, turning back and offering forgiveness to her stepmother. her mother, of course, didn’t choose to leave her and would have done anything not to hurt her. but she asks forgiveness anyway. her stepmother chose over and over to be cruel, and is insulted that Ella would deign to be kind to her, let alone offer forgiveness. but Ella can offer it freely anyway, because her mother taught her.

the rise of red ending we deserved…
okay so hear me out, I was thinking of an alternate ending to rise of red, since the one we got was highly questionable (at best)
so red and chloe go back in time, stop bridget from turning evil, all that stuff right. and then once they come back to the opening ceremony, the queen of hearts does her little card trick and up to this point, everything’s the same.
then red approaches her, happy that their mission worked, and she’s like “mom?” and the queen of hearts turns around to face her, crinkles her brow and goes “oh, I’m sorry, have we met before?”
at the same time, chloe sees her mother’s still alive so she runs up to her to give her a hug. but cinderella turns around, confused, and says, “excuse me? do I know you?” chloe is like “wait what do you mean, I’m your daughter.” and cinderella is obviously shocked, and she’s like “I don’t have a daughter.”
AND THEN the queen of hearts walks over to cinderella, holds her hand, and says, “darling, do you know these two?” to which cinderella shakes her head no.
so basicallyy, since the prank never happened, bridget and ella went to castlecoming as planned and everything. I mean sure, ella danced with charming, but because bridget didn’t get cold and angry and never pushed ella away after that night, like she would have in the original timeline, ella and bridget remained close friends. they relied on each other, with bridget helping ella through her tough family life and ella protecting bridget from uliana.
so they grew up super close and finally, when they’re adults, got married. the movie ends with the realization that now that the prank never happened, neither red nor chloe were ever born.
and then this perfectly sets up the next movie, because red and chloe have to decide what to do. I mean they don’t even exist in this timeline anymore, their own mothers don’t remember them. but the only other option would be to go back in time and make sure bridget becomes evil, but then would it be worth sentencing her to a miserable life of hatred and loneliness, when she has everything she wants now with ella?
guys disney should have done this if they WERENT COWARDS, I mean c’mon it would’ve set up the perfect plot for d5. anyways this is just a silly little headcannon of mine hehe :))
(can you tell I absolutely love this ship? like glasshearts is good, but bridget x ella [is there a ship name for them? if there is please tell me I need to know] will forever be my otp in this fandom. like they would’ve been so good together, ella would have given bridget the world 😭 I actually NEED a scene of the queen of hearts and cinderella singing and dancing to “so this is love” like ella and charming did in the beginning of the movie. disney PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU—)

I think one of Ever After High's biggest problems is the lack of characters and/or the lack of commitment to the rebel and royals tension. (Also this is coming from someone who has only really watched what's on Netflix. I have seen everything but I have just watched the Netflix specials wayyyyy more)
But what I mean by that is there will be moments when our main characters will be really hostile towards each other. Like during Legacy Day when all the royals were booing at Raven for not signing the book. Or the cafeteria fight after Legacy Day. Which makes a ton of sense for the plot of EAH. However, there are also a lot of moments when the rebels and royals are friendly with each other. That doesn't make a ton of sense when compared with the two instances I mentioned earlier. An example of this would be in Briar's Study Party, where they are all studying and dancing together. I just think it's strange. Also I'm not really thinking about Apple in all of this. She feels like a special case. I'm more so thinking about Briar, Ashlynn, Dexter, Blondie, Daring.
So I think in order to remedy this there are two options. Maybe even three. I'm also going to be focus on the royals more in this because I think my problems really lie with them.
Option 1: add more side characters that are the hostile ones during scenes like Legacy Day and the cafeteria fight. (Specifically royals) That way, our main characters like Brair and Ashlynn don't seem fake when interacting with characters like Raven, Maddie or Cedar outside of the scenes.
Option 2: make the royal characters specifically be mean/rude/hostile whatever to the rebels all the time. Some ways I would incorporate it into scenes already present in the show would be: when Apple and Raven are going to find a new mirror (which they go to all royals) have the royals they go to be curt with Raven. Or the look on their faces turns into a frown whenever they see her. So we can keep up the rebel vs royal and make it seem more believable.
Option 3: make the royal vs rebel tension a complete facade. A facade they only keep up around teachers or their parents. I guess one could potentially make an argument that this is kinda what the show is doing already, but not really. Because you have characters like Blondie who does everything to be consider a royal or Apple's whole thing she's got going on. It's obvious that the tension is truly there, especially with scenes like the cafeteria fight who would they have been pretending for? There were no teachers or parents there. They genuinely were fighting. So in order to make if feel like a facade I would have a scene where characters admit that they don't feel any hostility towards the other side but feel as though they need to act like they do. That would explain scenes like the booing at Legacy Day. And if you put some teachers in the cafeteria when the fight happened, it would also make more sense. But just to make it a little more interesting I would have scenes with the rebels feelings being hurt. Like Raven feeling absolutely awful after Legacy Day and refusing to talk to Dexter afterward because he was booing too. Also this pretending would primarily fall with the royals because I feel like it benefits them the most but we can have some scenes were the rebels do it too.
But those are my thoughts on that. I've always thought the characters' relationship was weird. Ever since I was a little kid. Also this is not a complaint about the show. I love this show so so so so much. It's one of my favorites ever.

Seriously, what did people want Mike to do when Handigo gets a hold of Josh? He's in a body of water, he has no weapons, he's half the thing's size, he's already seen this thing tear people apart. Did you really want him to fist fight her? He would've been killed instantly and Josh still would've died/been taken anyway.
I think people use it as an excuse to not like Mike and claim he's not heroic, but... for starters, there's already plentyyyy of other reasons not to like Mike (I love him, btw, but criticism of him as a person is still valid). And secondly, Mike literally chased after his girlfriend in the middle of the night during a snowstorm in a tank top after she got abducted by God knows who. Not to mention he'll kill himself in a fire just to make sure the wendigos don't get out and kill the rest of his friends. He's pretty damn heroic, if you ask me.
But he's not stupid. These are things he could reasonably pull off and actually save people with. Do you expect him to slowly wade through water and plant a fist in Handigo's back? People need to get real. If Mike had a gun or a flare or something, I think he would've tried to help Josh. But he quite literally had nothing to defend himself or Josh with. His explanation in his police interview was completely reasonable and accurate--there was no use in the both of them dying.
Note: There is the fact that no matter what, Handigo can never kill Mike. Intentional? I'm not sure. But even if she'll never actually kill Mike because she still loves him or whatever, Mike had literally no way of knowing that. In some cases, he doesn't even know that she's Hannah at all.
Sorry for the rant, I just see people complain about this a lot and try to write it differently in fan fictions and stuff, and I just don't get it...

Why do so many people forget that Ella wouldn't have been able to go to castlecoming anyway. Do none of you remember the plot of Cinderella

Do you think Albus’ students in the height of the fight against Grindelwald were like-
“Do we still need to hand in our final essay on Transfiguration in Professor Dumbledore’s class?”
“Or prepare for the test in DADA? Professor Dumbledore’s fighting Grindelwald tomorrow-“

Lewis being co-chair at the MET is something he build for years as a fashion enthuasist and now part of the creative process within the industry (although I have my critics to how that's unfolding)
you don't get invited to the MET just because you know someone there. just as you don't invite someone just because you know them.
please stop the discourse that Lewis could invite your favorites just because you want them there.
especially white f1 drivers.
the theme is literally fashion in the afro diaspora manifestations. Black Dandy is the MAIN inspiration.
there's not a single driver on that grid with the credencials to participate in a MET with that theme just because they know/work with Lewis.

I'm not sure how i'll feel when i get around to rereading the Son of Neptune. I haven't read any of these books since before covid (and since before i had this tumblr account), so now i have an excuse to read slower and take more notes. But that's a topic for another post after school. Anyways, I'm curious to see how I handle rereading it. Because i have a burning, raging hatred for the greco-roman afterlife, I imagine hazel's story might annoy me. Because i hate circe and medea and their like, we'll see how this reread affects my opinions on characters like reyna and hylla. The only characters I know I'll probably love are Frank and Ella (Frank used to feel a little relatable when i was younger, i think. Plus he's canadian too! And Ella was always fun to read about. The weird harpy with a love of knowledge). I might end up really liking Octavian too, because i remember finding him a super compelling and entertaining antagonist. But we'll see eventually, I guess.

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone. This isn't the type of post I would normally make but please bear with me.
TL;DR: If you're thinking about sending me an ask to help get your fundraiser out there, please don't. I literally can not help you, I'm sorry.
The world's kinda really shit right now, I get it. We're all suffering and miserable. But if you're thinking about sending me an ask, asking for financial support, I'd like you to know that I don't have neither the reach nor the funds to help you. I wish I could help, I really do.
This is a small, dumb blog I made on a whim when I was a troubled 16-year-old. I never intended for it to get anywhere or accomplish anything. It's just my silly thoughts and the sillier things I make and do and the occasional Thing that happens to me. My blog is a space for those who want a haven away from the harsh reality of this shitty world we live in. So please, for the love of all the gods out there:
Don't. Send. Me. Your fundraisers in my ask box, submissions or DMs. Please.
I'm keeping them open for now but I will consider closing them if this keeps happening. Sorry for this rather bleak post, I hope you all understand.
