Emil: What if you don’t feel that way one day?

Watching Emil stand there, almost shrinking in front of him, he thought about what he could say to make them see how he felt about them. For him, there was no getting bored of this life they had together, that all of his future ideas and hopes had Emil in them. Then as lightning from a clear sky, it hit him. He knew how he could perhaps ease Emil’s worries, and he knew they had seen enough movies by now to understand what this meant. He had been thinking about it for a while, but he had never found the way he would like to do it. Something fancy , wasn’t them, this on the other hand.. This was them. He just hoped Emil wouldn’t mind finding a ring later as he had none yet.

Pulling back a bit, he gently took Emil’s hand in his, which had the dragon tilt his head slightly.

Flynn: I know, you have seen enough movies by now Emil, to know what I am about to do means. I know it's not quite your way of doing this thing, but it is mine and our families.

He watched as Emil’s eyes got bigger as he knelt on one knee, holding one hand in his as Emil lifted his other in front of their mouth. They indeed know what this meant, not just from the movies, but also from the many books they had read in their time on both sides.

Flynn: I don't have a heart to share with you the way your kind does, but I promise you, this heart in here, it is all yours. And together, we are two hearts. -he smiles softly at Emil.- Emil: It's enough, our hearts, our two hearts are enough.

As a person who has gone through a lot of trauma In life I thought I'd pitch in on this.

A lot of my life the only way to get rid of my sadness was to actually sing, I didn't have friends or anyone to talk to, and I hid my feelings very well.

As we've seen previously Stolas does this, he sings to eliviate his pain, being in Blitzø's house he might feel the space is too small for him to do such a thing.

Also as a person who has had to adhere to what others want them to be, Stolas has hidden his pain and only really cried secretly or in front of those he trusts, or talked about it to his plants. (I used to always speak to my toys.)

Do you know what happens when you've been a person who cannot share emotions all your life? Without warning you can become numb, you'll never understand why you feel sad even if your with someone you love, which is what the song in the beginning of Sinsmas was talking about.

This bit here is like an inner monologue, he can see Blitzø is trying hard to help him and he appreciates it so much that he thinks he cannot show too much emotions.

(I think if Stolas could sing right now he'd sing this song himself.)

Until it all becomes too much, and after the month of holding emotions in and not having his medicine that he just crashes in the office.

I always worry about sharing my thoughts on things in case I've misread something, but I definitely think Stolas is just numb at the moment, it takes a while to get over that feeling, and it will always randomly come back.

My idea with the whole Twin Harbinger thing is that Wukong had been the original Harbinger who sacrificed his life the first cycle when the Pillar broke the second time. That hadn't even been part of Nuwa's plan, it was all Wukong! But it worked. And so the cycles began, with Nuwa experimenting with the cycles and who the Harbinger is each time to try to find a way to truly, finally stop them until she finally created a certain little monkey man we know and love

And Nüwa just kept experimenting. Anything so her and Fuxi's dearest creation wouldn't be trapped in an endless cycle of self-sacrifice.

Namely, she tries influencing other souls into taking Wukong's place.

Like a certain Six Eared Macaque. A Red-buttocked Baboon. A Long-armed Gibbon. All final survivors of other clay species she and Fuxi crafted together long before the Pillar broke and destroyed so much of their work.

But it seemed the little Stone Monkey was the most eager to follow his destiny.

Nüwa seems so cold because she's tired. Tired of losing so much over and over again.

After losing Fuxi in a previous Cycle, Nüwa creates The Harbinger directly from their life energy + Wukong's stone mother. Her intention to either eliviate the burden on Wukong's shoulders, or to stop the cycles once and for all.

MK existing is the loose thread in all of the timelines. :D!

haircare of 2024 - buy or bye!!

ive tried about a million different shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, etc. these are the complete and honest opinions towards each and every one.

SHAMPOO

kristen ess signature - DO! this is seriously one a tried and true, smells great and is cheap enough to buy regularly, but feels like good quality haircare.

biolage smoothproof/hydration - DON'T! to be honest, this feels way too pricey for the treatment you get. leaves residue in your hair no matter what..

l'oreal elvive - DO! this smells so good, really helps with dry hair, color safe, and sold in grocery stores for pretty cheap.

shea moisture hyration - DONT! okay for a little bit, after a little you start to develop product buildup, not fun!

CONDITIONER

biolage conditioner - DONT! seemed to almost highlight my split ends for me, felt like it was causing breakage..

l'oreal elivie - DO! this feels incredible, smells amazing, really cheap, and actually hydrates your hair. love love love.

shea moisture hyration - DONT! feels super thin in your hair, like its been watered down. very cheap feeling for an okay price, but not worth it.

amika normcare - DO! this is on the more expensive side, but i would really call it worth it. perfect formula and pairs well with other amiga products, smells like summertime!

HAIR MASKS

amika soulfood - DO! this seems like its some cult classic on the internet, but i actually want to talk about how long this thing will last you, a really long time!! very worth it imo

kristen ess moisture - DO! light, smells strong like their other products but if you enjoy a long lasting scent, very recommended

maui - DONT! this causes genuine breakage in your hair, and smells essentially like sunscreen in a jar. nope!

trader joes - DO! weird one on the list, but had to include it because it feels underrated and really cheap for how good it is!

OTHER TOOLS

the biggest thing I would suggest to help your hair would be to get a silk pillowcase or a silk bonnet. this leaves your hair feeling so much softer in the morning, and puts a lot less stress on it!

scalp massagers are great! this helps you actually shampoo your hair, gets blood flow going to help it grow, etc

if you want your hair to grow, USE BIOTIN OIL!!! it has helped me and so many people I know get their hair healed, glossy, and thicker. grows FAST too!

It was that time of the year again. You made sure to google around September so you never miss the date since it always changed every year according to the lunar calendar, even if the date was usually towards the end of the month. The Autumn Moon or Mid-Autumn Festival. You were disheartened when Miguel assigned you yet another hard anomaly mission for the 4th time in a row with him that you just finished, without so much of a proper break. It was a blessing and a curse. It meant he had immense amount of trust in you along with great approval. (Something you secretly craved) But it was beginning to take a toll on you, as you were beginning to miss your family. You won't be home to celebrate with them with all the work that you do for the Spider Society.

For Miguel.

You were in the middle of your thoughts when you were approached by some of the other Chinese and Chinese-American Spider variants who came up to ask your plans for the holiday. You all chatted for awhile and some were discussing how they were part of the Mid-Autumn Festival like lion dancing or helping their family's vendor in their home universes. Some variants were still teenagers who were volunteers to guide the traffic. Some of the older variants shared their homemade mooncake and gifted you some snacks.

That gave you an idea.

If you couldn't go home to spend the holiday with your family, then you could bring the holiday to Miguel. It's not like he knew about the Mid-Autumn Festival, so perhaps a fun cultural exchange could eliviate some of the stress you were put on.

You told Lyla you would be right back, and quickly left HQ for Nueva York's Chinatown to pick up your favorite brand and type of mooncake: the traditional one with lotus paste with salted duck yolk...though you also picked up a box without the yolk just in case Miguel didn't like it, and also another box of assorted flavored snow skin mooncakes from the freezer section if he just couldn't handle traditional mooncakes as well. You decided to go with your favorite to stay true to yourself since it wasn’t economic to buy all three boxes. You left the other two back on the shelf before checking out.

You also picked up jasmine green tea (your personal favorite) on the way. You went into the cafeteria, and asked the kitchen crew to let you brew the tea, which they happily allowed. You gave them one of the mooncakes you bought (a box has 4 mooncakes typically), and taught them what it was and what it was for. Safe to say they were not the biggest fans, but that was no surprise to you. You were used to it, but there was only one person's opinion you cared about.

Your heart skipped a beat in anticipation and nervousness of what he would think of the mooncake. Would he like it? Hate it? Would he even care?

You slowly approached Miguel's office where his super high platform resided in. To no one's surprise, he was up there working for who knows what, for who knows how long. Almost as he anticipated for your return, he turned around, and cocked an eyebrow at the bag of the metal tin box and thermos you were carrying.

"What's all this?" Miguel lowered his platform quickly for you, which he rarely did for anyone. But for you, he made an exception.

"Ah, well I got us some mooncakes and tea, for you know, the Mid-Autumn Festival." You motioned the bag and thermos at him. "It's today. If you have time, that is." You broke eye contact with him, a habit of yours when you weren't sure about something.

Luckily for you, Miguel was receptive to your emotions and habits from working with you all the time. Overworking you was his way of making you spend more time with him, which is how he picked up your subtle mannerisms. Not that you knew, of course. Your compliant and people-pleasing nature didn't question it, to his delight. Now you were standing before him all fidgety and nervous while holding a bunch of things that you were trying to share with him.

How cute. Miguel mused. "Sure, I have time."

Miguel was not a tea and cakes type of guy, but again, for you, he'll try anything once.

"How about we go on the roof? The moon is said to be at the fullest and brightest tonight."

"Of course."

You two swung and zipped through the halls of HQ, and reached for the top of the building. You set your thermos and bag down on the floor of the roof. Miguel closely followed and watched you as you sat down and took out the tin box, and noticed the intricate details that were painted and embossed on the lid. As you were about to open them, Miguel pointed at the female figure from the design.

"Who's she? And that rabbit."

Your eyes beamed in excitement the moment he asked. You were afraid he was only going along with you for your sake. (He was interested in anything about you.)

"She's the moon goddess, Chang'e, who's famous for stealing her husband's elixir of immortality. Her husband, Houyi, was an archer that was rewarded the elixir by the gods for his services. She escaped to the moon, stayed there, and became its goddess. The moon is said to be the fullest and brightest according to the lunar calendar today which is why she is always referenced for the Mid-Autumn Festival." You explained as much as you could remember from stories you were taught in Chinese language school. You pointed at the rabbit. "And that lil bunny there is always with her because Chinese people think the moon crater looks like a bunny pounding more of the elixir of immortality! So it's like it's always with her."

You looked up at Miguel who was looking straight at you with soft brown eyes as he leaned his weight extremely close to you. He wore a soft smile from listening to you, making your heart flutter and temperature rise on your cheeks.

"You look so lovely under the moonlight." His eyes were half-lidded looking down on you. "Looks like you're stealing something from me too."

He was leaning dangerously close as his lips ghosted yours. You could feel every fiber of your muscles in your entire body tensing up and heat reverberating. Your breath hitched, but before anything else could happen, you panicked and looked down at the mooncake tin beside you.

"U-Um let me cut you your share." You said awkwardly. You didn't even notice Miguel pouting in disappointment.

You opened up the tin box. Miguel frowned and crossed his arms. He looked at the opened tin and noticed a missing mooncake. "You shared them with someone else, first? Guess I'm really not that special to you."

"I-I didn't mean to! I just had to brew some tea at the cafeteria and I wanted to thank the kitchen crew." You explained hurriedly like you were in trouble.

"I'm just teasing." Miguel chuckled and squeezed your arm for reassurance. He moved on and noticed something. "They're much smaller than I thought they'd be. Are they mini cakes?" He tilted his head to the side in curiosity, examining all lines, shapes, and characters of the design on the mooncakes.

"No, they're meant to be this size. The cakes are super dense." You had cut up the mooncake into 4 pieces. You held up the plastic tray it came in for Miguel. "Here. It has a salted egg yolk, and the filling is lotus paste. It's sweet and salty, and also my favorite!"

He took a piece of his share and you watched tentatively, unsure of his reaction. His eyes widened, but not in shock, rather in delight. He nodded in approval. He followed with a small smile.

"That was actually really good. I won't lie, I thought the salted egg yolk was weird at first, but it actually works to balance out the intense sweetness of the mooncake." He paused. "Could I get some tea though?" He pointed at the thermos.

"Oh, yeah, of course!"

You quickly pour him the tea into the lid of the thermos that also served as a cup. The tea was still warm as steam was coming off of the cup. You gently blew on the cup before handing it to Miguel. He immediately sipped the tea. He had let the tea sit in his mouth before swallowing to taste the tea.

"Think this might be my favorite tea. The light floral flavor helps neutralize the stickiness and sugar of the mooncake." He noted.

You couldn't be more happy to hear his compliments and analysis. Your need for his validation and approval was more than satisfied at this point.

"It's a bit rare for someone who never grew up on them to like these traditional mooncakes." You reminisced a bit on your childhood growing up. Even the other Chinese kids didn't always liked traditional Chinese food.

"Well I'm just cultured like that." Miguel dramatically flipped his hair, being the cheeky guy he was. "I have good taste."

You giggled. "Yes you really do!" You paused for a second. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course." He replied softly, a tone he almost never used with anyone.

"What did you celebrate usually at home?" You could feel yourself regretting to ask due to his past, but you couldn't help wanting to reminisce with him and learn more about him.

"Well, growing up, we celebrated the usual holidays like Christmas and Halloween. Although for Mexican holidays, usually just Cinco de Mayo." Miguel looked away to the moon. You too gazed upon the lunar plane, mezmerized by its soft light as Miguel's voice carried you away. "And you know, my Gabi, she used to make sure I celebrated every holiday she liked with her. Christmas was her favorite. She loved getting presents, playing games, and making cookies for Santa."

You looked back at Miguel. His face was stoic, but you knew better. A war of emotions dazzled in his chocolate brown eyes against the moonlight. You took a deep breath. "She and I have in common then, I love Christmas. It's the best holiday for families. My family usually celebrates major Chinese and American holidays with a good feast. I always pitched in activity ideas for them or else we'd do nothing else but eat eat eat."

"You and Gabi would get along. She had quite the creative and active mind, like you." Miguel snuck a compliment in.

"I would have loved to meet her." Your heart ached for him. "I can never understand the pain and loss that you feel, but I do miss my family a lot too."

Miguel looked down, and then back up into your eyes. "I'm sorry, I know I've been overworking you. Had I known today's a holiday for you, I would've given you a break."

"It's alright. As long as you let me go home at some point." You fiddled with your fingers, unsure of what to say next. "I'm grateful to be here...it's just...I want to see my family more."

He nodded to that. "I can give you the week off, but can I ask something of you first?"

"Of course! I'll do anything!" You jumped up in people-pleasing mode.

Miguel felt some heat when you said that, but held up his composure to ask: "Can I kiss you?"

You were taken aback by the absurdity, but you weren't opposed to it. Unlike before, your nerves couldn't get the best of you this time. "Y-Yes. I'd like that very much." Blush and heat formed on your face. This couldn't be happening right now. You thought you blew it earlier.

With definitive confidence from you, Miguel shifted closer to you and guided his hands so that one was on your hip and the other guiding itself up to cup your cheek. He lingered to gently rub his thumb on your cheek before lightly pinching it.

"Ah! What are you doing?"

"Your cheeks remind me of a lil bunny rabbit. You're too cute." He said before silencing you with his mouth. He was holding you like a flower, as if he was so afraid to crush you in his strength. His kiss was firm yet soft, as if he was kissing his spouse. His body began to hover and push against you until he was on top of you. He nipped your lip teasingly, and pecked your lips. He peppered little kisses all over your face before giving your forehead one final kiss. He pressed his forehead against your own.

"You're wonderful. You know that? I appreciate with all that you've done for me and for all of us. Don't overextend yourself more than you have to. Don't be afraid to tell me no." Miguel spoke barely a whisper. "I...care about you."

You could melt into a puddle and ascend to heaven right now. Everything in your mind was being scrambled like a stir fry. Words could not even begin to form in your mind to explain how you feel. Your tummy was in knots while butterflies were threatening to spill out. You could've sworn the moon became brighter than before. You could almost hear someone urging you to go to him. As if in sync, the two of you leaned in and sealed another kiss under the moonlight.

"Me too."

In the last year of middle school I always had this problem in math class where I would understand the topic and how to do the math but the class went so quickly that by the time I wrote down the number of the question they already solved it and the class was 4 problems ahead which left me really frustrated stressed and also bored so to eliviate the boredum since I was anyway not in their speed I would write the problems. Hey Elwood, I'm just asking if you have any series or movie recommendations. The recent things I've enjoyed have either ended or I'm not into them anymore, and since you know a lot of fandoms. I was wondering if you want to ramble about any of your favourites.

Omg hiii! Im so glad you asked! I love this question and thank you so much for asking! Im happy you came to me for this question! So above you can see most of my fandoms but i’ve been in fandoms for a long time so let’s talk about a few of my favorites!

(they will include where they are streaming but if you don’t have the streaming service then im sure you can find them somewhere else)

starting with the ones on Netflix!

band of brothers and the pacific (you can also find these on HBOmax with the two other series Gen kill and master of air but I don’t necessarily like those) you can find these two tho on Netflix if you’re big into history these are some of the best reenactment shows i’ve seen! Plus they are mini series so 9-10 episodes a peice.

next is transformers. Now you this one tricky because these movies will be off Netflix soon leaving the 31 of December so watch these when or if you can, alot of people don’t necessarily like these movies (the micheal bay ones) but they are my personal favorites.

Next is kaleidoscope, this series was fun to watch it’s another mini series and it’s a heist type show, but the only thing is the episode are named after colors and Netflix will give you an order to watch them in no matter the order of the episodes it’ll kinda tell you what happened leading up to heist, only rule DONT WATCH EPISODE WHITE FIRST.

next is yellowjackets, this show is absolutely amazing/insane season 1 is the only season on Netflix currently but there is a season 2 the show is about a a girl soccer group who plane crashed in the woods and there time there for about almost a year before getting rescued. It shows what happens during their time there and years after getting rescued (there’s a teen and adult story line of the girls as well) and it’s so interesting I would highly recommend this one. (You can also find this on sling or parmout for free)

next is Psycho, one of my favorite older horror movies of all time, it starts Anthony Perkins and one of the better movies for the time, it came out in 1960 (there have been remakes and a show but I don’t recommend those ) there are also 3 other movies after this one starting Perkins so I would recommend those to! (So the first 2 psych movies are on Netflix but will be leaving the 31 of this month)

next is peacock

yellowstone. This is by fair one of my favorite series it recently just ended but don’t worry it has alot of spin offs as well(you can also find this series on sling for free) , it’s got 5 seasons and the acting and storylines are amazing! Now i will warn you there is a r*pe secen somewhere in season 2 or 3 I can’t remember exactly so becarful with that. But the show is still really good and so are the spinoffs.

next is amazon prime

First is fallout for a game to show adaptation it’s so good and im begging season 2 to come out sooner, it has Ella purnell in it it’s a great introduction into fallout and it’s just all around a great show, the effects and acting chefs kiss and it recently won an award as well!

next is Daisy jones and the six it’s a book to show adaptation and it’s also a mini series if you like stuff like fleetwood mac and 60’s -70’s vibes you will definitely enjoy this. Plus the book/show is heavily kinda based around fleetwood mac. And Elivis Granddaughter also plays the lead female character Daisy.

So you might have to pay for this next one sadly or have a premium subscription to sling butt(im also sure you can find it somewhere else without having to pay for it)

The Blues brothers! Starting Dan Ackroyd and john beluish! This movie is so great and just makes me so freaking happy, it’s funny, it’s got great music in it and the acting?? Chefs kiss. I would’nt recommend the second one though.

(so this next one is by itself cause it has two streaming services that you can find on them for free )

Hannibal(the TV series, you can find it on pluto TV and Sling TV for free) it has 3 seasons but the cinematography, acting, storylines , characters are just a masterpiece that it leaves you wanting more literally. (here’s an overview :Gifted criminal profiler Will Graham has a unique way of thinking that allows him to empathize with anyone, including psychopaths. But while helping the FBI pursue a particularly complicated serial killer, he decides he could use some help and enlists the brilliant psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter. The two form a partnership and it seems that there is no villain they can't catch together, but Lecter harbors a dark secret. His own brilliant mind has gone to the dark side and he has more in common with the criminals they hunt than Will could possibly imagine)

Disney plus

so the first show is Darkside of the ring, this is another history based show but it’s about wrestling and the dark side of it and each episode is about different wrestlers/ their families telling their stories. It’s so interesting

(One thing that got me into this was another Recommend movie called “The IronClaw “you can find this movie on HBOmax it’s about the real life wrestling story of the Von Erich family and the sad story behind the. TW for S*cide , Alcohol, and mental health for this movie and show above it)

Next is The entire X-men movie series, i grew up with them and they genuinely really make me happy. (I don’t like the dark phoenix though😭)

Apple TV

SNL. Now we all Know of SNL but I would recommend the first couple of seasons! The early seasons are the best in my opinion (you may have to buy them or again you could find it somewhere else) but definitely recommend, this show helps calm my anxiety when it’s really bad.

The thing that really gets me about billionaires having enough money to solve mass humanitarian crises (aside from the obvious solution of abolishing capitalism) is that there's so many of them! There's 2000+ billionaires in the world and not even one of them has put any meaningful sum of their money towards eliviating suffering (as far as I know). Out of nearly 3000 people who have more money than they could ever have use for not a single one has had the humanity to do anything worthwhile with it. And I know that being a billionaire doesn't mean you have billions in cash just in total assets but still! They definitely have enough liquid cash to pay off some medical debt, pay to stock food banks etc. no one wants to sell an asset? No one??? Not one??? Like I think it just goes to show how closed off to humanity and the realities of the world you have to be to become a billionaire in the first place. Truly shameful.
