A little short on the second jump of that Triple-Triple and turned out of it. Might have been a bit short on the Triple Lutz. Nice spin. Off in the air on that Double Axel. Solid step sequence. Solid spin. Nice spin.

Small issues with the jumps for Eliska Brezinova of the Czech Republic, which will add up.

50.90 and into second behind Gomez and ahead of Selmekova.

Two footed on the lutz but tried to hide it well.

It did take me until I heard the lyrics of the reframe to realize this was running up that hill.

2022 Euros Entry #21

Women free program Eva Lotta Kibus(EST) Thoughts: she had a tough day out there. That fall on the triple lutz, ouch. Eliska Brezinova(CZE) Thoughts: poor thing. She’s so much better than that. I hope she doesn’t let one bad day get to her too much. Olga Mikutina(AUT) Thoughts: you forget with these big numbers that this really is her first senior year. Considering that, she’s done a wonderful job just taking it as it comes and trying her best. Nicole Schott(GER) Thoughts: first off, I forgot how fucking gorgeous her legs are. This audience is so supportive. A lot of people in this flight haven’t been having their best day but I can tell the audience is a really bright spot for everyone.

grateful i got to catch both of these absolute babes in person at the same comp since we won’t be seeing eliška at euros this year 😭 best of luck to nicole who is in podium contention (!!!) and hoping eliška gets another chance to show off these programs at worlds!

eliska brezinova was asked by a eurosport reporter how she’s relating to the “situation” as an athlete; she said it was fine and that she had taken the day off earlier. she tries not to watch the news, and although she and everyone else know what’s going on, it’s not their business. therefore she tries to focus on herself and has watched other sports in the meantime to get her mind on something else

A lot of height on the opening jump of her combination, had a step out, but got out the second jump. Nice Triple Flip. Nice Double Axel. Nice spin. A fun step sequence! Nice spin.

That was such a fun program from Eliska Brezinova of the Czech Republic! The mistake on the opening jumping pass, but other than that, it was clean and she was having fun with it. Good for her! Like Ukraine, Czech Republic not the mix, but they could - and probably will - play spoiler for other countries here.

Thoughts: she had this kind of like delayed timing going on with her ending pose. So cool.

Josefin Taljegard(SWE)

Thoughts: one of the very special members of the “age don’t mean shit” club. Those shoulders. She is gorgeous.

Eliska Brezinova(CZE)

Thoughts: two “age don’t mean shit” club members in a row. And this one has strawberry hair.

Nicole Schott(GER)

Thoughts: the outfit. That side cutout, pure magic.

Viktoria Safonova(BLR)

Thoughts: she’s amazing. I adore her.

Alexia Paganini(SWI)

Thoughts: I think this was the first time I really enjoyed watching her. I would have liked to see a decent haircutter position. But still, really good show from her.

Eva Kiibus(EST)

Thoughts: I didn’t like her hairdo. But that dress is damn gorgeous.
