You are in the house and the house is in today.” ✨📖✨📖✨ Catherine House by Elisabeth Thomas has an incredibly eerie and gothic atmosphere that follows Ines as she goes through the isolated but prestigious university known as Catherine House. I have to admit that I was a huge fan of the twisty, mind bending and secretive boarding school that had so many secrets. I loved that we saw the world from Ines’s head and point of view. I know that a lot of people struggled with her, but I liked that she was introverted and obsessive, indecisive and often disassociated from what was really happening around her. It made for an interesting ride. I didn’t like the fact that the /something/ wasn’t really discussed, even when it was. I’m not a fan of things that aren’t properly discussed, of the full information not being given, or open endings, and this book had all of that, which is why in the end I only rated it 4 stars.
