can you write a drabble fluff for Eliot Charon & Hebaron Nirtha (separate) x female reader about how she doesn't seem to realize how attractive she is. She doesn't know why men always seek for her hand in marriage. You can choose any of the characters above, it your decision to write what you feel is appropriate. Have a nice day
I just learned that a drabble is actually 100 words and this 600… oh well, I guess.
I couldn’t think of anything for Hebaron, so I’m sorry about that. I also hope you don’t mind the suggestive nature of this… I tried; I really did but this was the only thing that kept popping in my head. I hope you like it and thank you for requesting!

You were an extremely beautiful woman.
Lovely as roses, smile as bright and warm as the sun, eyes shining like jewels – so beautiful, so lovely. Eliot himself had fallen at first sight, but it was a puppy crush then. And well, four years later, and two weeks after returning from the campaign, he’s proud and grateful to call himself your fiancé.
But when he did return, something was amiss.
You were clingier than usual, more openly affectionate. One would think it would only be natural, considering he was away for three years, his life on the line and survival uncertain. It was added to the mix, yes, but it didn’t take him long to realize you were making a show of it; at first, he thought you were marking him in a way, telling every young woman that he was off the market. He was wrong, apparently.
For a week after his much-wanted return, you had told him in bed, naked form cuddled into his chest.
“Men kept proposing to me after you left.”
His fingers brushed against your shoulders, your hair tickling his chin. Eliot hums in response, grip on you becoming a bit tighter. He kisses the crown of your head, loving the way you nuzzled deeper into the crook of his neck, hands sprayed across his bare chest. He should have known as much.
You were a beautiful woman, extremely so.
It would only make sense that others would take the chance presented before them. Of course, they would never have dared to act in such a way. But with him gone, on a dangerous mission at that, uncertain if he would return alive or not…
Of course, they would target you. Why would they not? A pretty lady would mourn her fiancé’s death at any given moment. Waiting for his return, and even if he made it back alive, who’s to say that he didn’t find another lover on the trip? Or if he lost a limb or two? Became a different person, harsh and rash instead of the gentle giant?
They probably told you those things. Said how you can’t live without a husband, and what good is a woman if she is unwed? Unless you’re a high-ranking servant, or a servant in general, how could you make a proper living?
They told you things like that, didn’t they?
“I see. I assume they did not give up easily?”
“Mm, they kept harassing me to say yes. They were practically buzzing flies and annoying dogs… hounding me like that…” you throw a leg over his, skin as smooth as he remembered. And between your thighs was a mess – a claim, of sorts. Something you had begged for. Maybe it was the events that went on for three years that made you beg for it, reckless and yet, he was too.
He just missed you so much.
“Majority of the other women were left alone, even though it was their husbands and fiancés who left for The Campaign as well.”
The annoyance was starting to burn hotter in his chest. “Did they get physical?” Eliot holds you closer to him, tighter if possible. When you shake your head ‘no,’ his fingers slowly loosen their hold on you. He closes his eyes, kisses your forehead, threading his fingers through your hair. “That’s good,” he says, letting out a sigh.
“I just don’t understand why they were so… persistent. Every day, a new one would come, and every week I had to shoo them away. I just don’t understand why me, and why they leaped at the… ‘opporuinty’ once you left.”
Oh, if only you knew…
Instead of saying it – he plans to, tomorrow – Eliot raises, supporting himself on his arms, palms pressed against the bed. And when you look up at him with those eyes and kiss-swollen lips, who can blame him for starting another round?
Might as well make them hear who you crave and love.

April 4, 2024: Coyotes by the Eliot House, Glyn Maxwell
Coyotes by the Eliot House Glyn Maxwell
Tom I’ve a question and all I have is a question. There are lots of coyotes near this old house you lived in. I didn’t expect them here in the green Northeast. Figured them things of rocks and the high sierras. There goes another one bounding for the bushes. First time, I thought: that’s a dog acting really strangely. But it didn’t turn back for approval or get distracted by an insignificant thing, as a dog will tend to. No it was gone by now, it had made me nervous. They’re the size of a family dog but they’re on their own. Folks round here reassure me there’s no danger unless you attack their cubs so I’ll shelve my plan to attack their cubs, chrissakes. Tom, Tom, apologies, I have loved my time in your house.
Last night at dinner we heard a siren wailing off in the town and all of them started howling, all the coyotes for miles around in the bushes aghast, alerting their young, alarming their old, rising and heightening, matching its pitch and power, one near the blue spinning light in its thrall, uniquely bound by this unpredicted visitation. Then after the siren faded they packed it in. What do they think that is, that demands of them and gets of them their love or their terror or both? What do we poets do when we know it’s nothing? Not for them or against them or about them. Tom, I had to be here to ask that question. I expect I’ll have to be gone before you answer.

Visions of Hell: Dante's Inferno
Last month, in observance of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death (and as my Halloween reading for this year) I reread Dante's Inferno. I last read it along with Purgatorio and Paradisio about 30 years ago, and while I have no burning desire to slog my way through Paradisio again Inferno is a fun read.
Florence of the late 13th Century was split into warring factions - the Ghibellines allied to the Holy Roman Emperor, and the Guelfs aligned with the Church. The Guelfs were further split between the pious White Guelfs and the Black Guelfs who owed allegiance to the Papacy. Dante was a White Guelf, but was in an arranged marriage to the daughter of the leader of the Black Guelfs. After various battles, assasinations and other political intrigues Dante was exiled from Florence in 1301 and never returned. He settles many scores in Inferno, and the schadenfreude so apparent in Inferno is part of what makes it fun to read. The sinners condemned to hell are all too human, as are Dante's interactions with them and his doling out ironic punishments (contrapassos) to them.
But it would be a great mistake to see Inferno as a petty exercise in vengeance. It is one of the greatest works of poetry in existence. It has been translated over a hundred times by such giants of English literature as Chaucer, Milton, Shelley, Keats, Byron, Tennyson, Longfellow, Swinburne, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and Robert Browning; Dante also inspired later poets including Beckett, Joyce, Yeats, Pound, Eliot, Auden, and many others. Inferno is one of the greatest and most enduring works in Western literature, in the same class as Shakespeare's best works and with not much else in their same class. Commentaries on the Divine Comedy began appearing not long after Dantes death (including those from two of his sons) and continue their regular appearance. A new anthology, After Dante: Poets in Purgatory was just published.
Artists have also found Inferno to be fertile ground for the imagination. My personal favorite is Gustav Dore, whose illustrations began appearing in the 1850s and continued to be a moneymaker for him for many years to come.
Charon, from Inferno Canto III
Farinata, from Inferno Canto X
Satan, from Inferno Canto XXXIV
That last image of Bertran de Born from Canto XXVIII should look familiar to Terry Gilliam fans:
youtube
In fact Dante's Divine Comedy has given us a wealth of images we continue to see in movies and television. Dore's illustration from Paradisio Canto XXXI is a case in point:
From the 1983 science fiction film Brainstorm:
From The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XII:
Or here's Faylita Hicks' beautiful Tarot rendering of Dante the Pilgrim's passage across the Styx from Inferno Canto III:
But I digress. When rereading Inferno this time around I took my time choosing a translation, eventually settling on reading two translations in parallel: the 1971 Penguin Classics version by Mark Musa and the 1867 version by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, the first American translation and still popular after all these years.
Why two translations? Because Dante is difficult to translate and get it right. Part of the genius of Inferno is that Dante writes on many levels at once; his poetry is a tour de force high-wire act. He invented a rhyming scheme that carries the narrative forward like a waltz: aba-bcb-cdc-ded-efe. Here's an example from the 2013 Clive James translation:
James is one of the few English translators to attempt to recreate Dante's rhyming scheme, with mixed and sometimes forced results. Dante could pull it off because Italian rhymes more easily and often than English; as James notes, it's hard not to rhyme in Italian. Dante also plays with words, as when his guide Virgil warns Dante the Pilgrim not to confuse piety with pity. In Italian, both are expressed with the word pietà.
When choosing a translation there are key tradeoffs between clarity, beauty of language and fidelity to the original. A really outstanding English translation will only get you two out of three, and a good translation will only achieve one. That's why I chose to read both the Musa version (for clarity) and the Longfellow version (for beauty of language.) I wasn't disappointed. I doubt I'd have made it through the Longfellow version without having first read Musa, since Longfellow's poetry almost needs its own translation - it's rather like reading one of Shakespeare's plays.
For comparison, here's the Longfellow version of the famous inscription above the Gates of Hell from the opening of Canto III:
“Through me the way is to the city dolent
Through me the way is to eternal dole;
Through me the way among the people lost.
Justice incited my sublime Creator;
Created me divine Omnipotence;
The highest Wisdom and the primal Love.
Before me there were no created things.
Only eterne, and I eternal last.
All hope abandon, ye who enter in!”
These words in somber color I beheld
Written upon the summit of a gate;
Whence I: “Their sense is, Master, hard to me!”
And here’s the Musa transition of the same: (capitalization in original)
I AM THE WAY INTO THE DOLEFUL CITY,
I AM THE WAY INTO ETERNAL GRIEF,
I AM THE WAY TO A FORESAKEN RACE.
JUSTICE IT WAS THAT MOVED MY GREAT CREATOR;
DIVINE OMNIPOTENCE CREATED ME,
AND HIGHEST WISDOM JOINED WITH PRIMAL LOVE.
BEFORE ME NOTHING BUT ETERNAL THINGS
WERE MADE, AND I SHALL LAST ETERNALLY.
ABANDON EVERY HOPE, ALL YOU WHO ENTER.
I saw these words spelled out in somber colors
inscribed along the ledge above a gate;
“Master,” I said, “These words I see are cruel.”
The Musa translation was far easier to read, but it's not deathless prose. The Longfellow language is beautiful, but it requires repeated readings to absorb - and during the long Malebolgia series of cantos in Lower Hell I felt Longfellow starting to drag.
In closing, I really enjoyed rereading Inferno. Reading the two translations in parallel gave me a new appreciation for his genius, but short of learning Italian a full appreciation of Dante is always going to be just out of reach. I can easily see why he still has things to say after 700 years. If I had to do it over again I think instead of Musa I'd be tempted to read one of the other recommended translations I ran across, like the Dorothy L. Sayers or C. H. Sisson versions, but by that time I was committed. I'd still recommend the Longfellow version, but only if you are already familiar with the text or have another version to compare it to. Buona lettura!

I must say, the Magic underworld is amazing! The atmosphere is fantastic and reminds me the world of the dead in Corpus Bride and Coco, in the way that is more interesting and colorful than the surface. And Lucas development is amazing and he's such a softy. But very strong too. The man doesn't break even with Eliott being the most adorable person right in front of him! This requires strength! And Eliott eliotting at his fullest is so good to read! Actual ask: the old man was Caronte inspired?
Thank you so much ! I haven’t seen Coco but Corpse Bride was definitely an inspiration. The point of the Magic Underground is very deliberate ; since the actual Underworld is something both Eliott and Lucas are terrified of. But more about that later ;)
And yes ! The old man was definitely an echo of Charon, the guy who passes souls over the Underground River Styx (which was also the name of the club in which they first met !) Add the river in the movie they watched together and there is now officially a River theme in this fic ahaha ^^

Languid Lusciousness with Lemon
By Joan Leotta
Finishing Line Press, 2017
231 Pages
ISBN-13: 978-1635341454
Review by Barbara R. Saunders
Joan Leotta declares her stakes in a one-word line. It’s near the center of the first poem of this collection, the title poem, “Languid Lusciousness with Lemon.” This charming book of poetry is a meditation on immortality. Food, for this poet, is a metaphor for life itself—constant but temporary, and meant to be consumed with joy. Every harvest can remind us to be grateful for the living earth; every recipe, of our own agency; and every meal, of the possibility or the realization of love.
In some pieces, the narrator remembers how her elders imparted lessons. She marvels that her grandmother could “summon birds from an empty sky” with the “tossed crumbs and crusts” from breakfast toast. The older woman explains, “Everyone hears when called to the table.” On apple-picking trips with her father, the narrator learns “apples taste better when you know them by name.” And the narrator’s mother demands an apprenticeship before handing over a cherished pizzelle cookie recipe because, she says, “Words are not enough/You need to learn to feel/When the dough has just enough flour.”
The narrator applies this wisdom about food and relationships to the family she generates herself. A bag of peaches from her husband, she observes, signifies the promise of a life filled with sweet adventures. “We cook many into jam and pies together … we dare all this and more -- together.” Speaking of an afternoon of tasting savory bivalves with a daughter, she says, “I savored the found pearl/of our togetherness.” At the family dinner table, she notices, “love is spoken -- loudly, and by all.” A few humorous poems turn inward. The Turkish delight in a novel finds its sticky way onto the narrator’s hands, and a session of strawberry chopping discharges the anger from a marital argument.
There are a few poems unrelated to food. These fit squarely into the theme of family. “Kitty Hawk Hang Glider School,” brings us back to those wondrous birds as the narrator’s son takes “A solo flight. The first of many yet to come.” In another poem, only the smell of coffee shows up—a ghost, like her father, in a dream. This poem, “Dreaming across the Styx” contains my favorite line of the collection: “Instead of Charon,/my own beloved father/waits, patiently, to/ferry me across the Styx/in his white 1960 Thunderbird.”
Though domesticity is a focus, the poet’s heart opens to encompass the world beyond the hearth. Food serves as currency for bonding with fruit vendors, waitresses, and neighbors. When a young man in Istanbul angrily tells her that Americans don’t appreciate his culture, she tries to change his mind over coffee, “talking across the Bosphorus of our diverse lives, until his anger waned.” And she laments, in the closing piece in the collection, that breaking bread together can’t always save us. A young man who shares his Ramadan goodies with her dies at the hands of ISIS.
A solo performer as well as a writer, Leotta skilfully balances autobiographical elements, such as clues to her Italian heritage, with intellectual ones, including the references to T.S. Eliot that pepper the collection. The message, both exciting and comforting: Sweet meets tart, nature’s bounty meets human craft, stay-at-home mom meets Jordanian fighter pilot--such is life!
===ABOUT THE REVIEWER: Barbara R Saunders hails from New York and lives in Berkeley, California. Her poetry focuses on biography and myth. She’s at work on a memoir, Dead Dreams.

It's a stupid plan.
It's so goddamn stupid it has to work.
The Library had gotten his - his thief and his hacker trapped in the fucking Underworld, he'd reunited with the twin he'd never thought he'd see again, and the universe fucking owed him.
"They physically went to the Underworld," Cassandra had tried to tell him. "Their bodies..."
"Will be fine," Eliot had growled. "Or I'll find another fucking god to heal them."
Cassandra and Ezekiel had looked at Jake, who'd shrugged. "It's not like we couldn't help with that, too," he'd pointed out.
"It is kind of our fault they got shoved into that portal," Ezekiel had conceded, biting his lip.
"Exactly. So now open this fucking portal so I can get them back," Eliot had snapped, and Cassandra had done so, and he'd stepped through with nothing but the guitar on his back.
Turns out, Orpheus and Eurydice were real people, once, and they'd almost managed to complete the ritual to bring Eurydice back. Now, Eliot was stepping into Orpheus' shoes, nothing but a guitar in his hands and a prayer in his head to whoever the hell might be listening to give him enough time to make this work.
Taking a deep breath, ignoring the chill seeping into his bones, Eliot starts to sing.
He sings every song he can think of as he walks down the path, as he hands coins to Charon, as he's taken across the river and as he winds his way towards the palace. He sings as he walks through the doors of the palace, makes his way to the dais, where Hades is sitting on a throne, Persephone nowhere to be seen(it's summer, the height of summer, this would've been easier if she was there, but then again, maybe not, with what Eliot has planned for the end of today.)
He sings until Hades holds up a hand and tells him to stop. "I know why you're here," he says, and he sounds amused, and a little regretful. "And I cannot allow one soul to escort two from my realm."
"They aren't yours," Eliot says, barely keeps his tone civil. "They're mine. Heart, body, and soul."
Something glints in Hades' gaze. "But are you theirs?"
"Till my dying day," Eliot answers, without hesitation.
"Then prove it," Hades says, reclining back. "You've done your research; you know the ritual."
Eliot takes a deep breath, squares his shoulders, and looks the lord of the Underworld in the eye.
"No."
Hades straightens. "'No'?"
"No," Eliot repeats, soft and firm. "I'm not doing some damned ritual. They weren't meant to be here, they're still in their physical bodies, and you're going to let them go. You can go back and pick up whoever the hell you meant that ritual to catch once I have Parker and Hardison back."
Seconds seem to stretch like hours as Hades scrutinizes Eliot, finally pushing himself to his feet and almost gliding from the throne. "You're bold, for a human," he murmurs, the words echoing in the deathly-quiet throne room. "You dare defy a god?"
The hairs on the back of Eliot's neck stand up, and he grins. "I dare a lot more than that," he says, and before Hades or his guards can react, he winds up -
And punches Hades square in the nose.
Hades rears back with a startled, pained sound, and there's hands on Eliot's arms, hands he'd know anywhere, and he falls into them, lets them drag him into another portal, magic sparking across his skin as he smirks at Hades, who watches them leave with a baleful - and maybe even fond - look.
On the other side of the portal, back in the Library, Hardison and Parker fold him into their arms, and Eliot sinks into their embrace, the others turning away to give them some semblance of privacy.
Later, he'll ask for the details of how Hardison and Parker managed to hijack a connection to the service, how they managed to break into Hades' palace using Eliot's distraction, how they got a signal to the Library for another portal -
Right now, the only thing Eliot cares about is the two of them warm and alive in his arms.
not only did the three “die” holding hands, the two of them that were in a romantic relationship didn’t. eliot was in the middle. he held both their hands. you would think a show would put their long-time building romantic relationship together and have them hold hands as they died, right? nope. not leverage. most shows wouldn’t even consider having their two male characters hold hands. especially in such an intimate, emotional scene. most shows wouldn’t have one of their male characters hold hands with his friend’s girlfriend as they were dying. leverage showed us how important their relationship was by eliot’s placement. eliot meant so much to both hardison and parker and they meant so much to him. and this was nate’s story. nate came up with this, told people how the three thieves died together, holding hands. he had to make sure people knew that eliot spencer , alec hardison , and parker loved one another so so so so so much

can i ask a request for Gabel Lachzion or Eliot Charon x fem reader try to hide erotic romance books from him to learn how to be more seductive to please him in bed. You can choose write sfw or nsfw
Gabel Lachzion x fem! Reader
Minors/blank/blogs that don’t interact (reblogging) fics and/or fanart dni
Blog contains dead dove don’t eat/dark content.
Not sfw warnings: fingering, hand/job, mention of going down on each other, riding.
Word count: 1067k
Kinda strayed off from the request… sorry about that, but I hope you like it!
==
“Baby… is this what you wanted?”
Gabel nibbles your ear, one finger rubbing circles into your clit. Your hand was stroking his cock at the same time – thumb playing with the tip, pre-cum leaking from the slit. Your back was pressed against his chest, legs twitching more with each added pressure to your bud.
You were a virgin. A virgin and unwed still – and it was because of that, that this was taboo. You shouldn’t be tucked away in some hidden corner of Anatol. Nor should you be pressed against him, his free hand covering your mouth, despite how desperately he wants to hear your cute little moans and whimpers, gasping when he teases your opening.
The heel of his hand grinds against your glit as he slides his middle finger against your soaking slit. Your legs spread more, hips bucking just the tiniest bit – how cute. You’re trying to sneak his finger into your hole. Gabel licks a strip up your neck.
You were a virgin, and yet, you crossed part the line with him already. Memories of his fingers deep in your cunt, hitting that spongy spot, only for him to retreat them before the knot in your lower belly could snap. Licking your slick off his fingers as his hand grabs yours, ceasing your hand job.
Those steamy sessions always ended like that. And you were too shy to say anything – too worried he didn’t want to cross that line completely with you. And it would have been fine, understandable, even, if he didn’t whisper how much he wanted to slide his cock into you. How badly he wanted to cum inside the deepest parts of you, or how he wants to fuck you until your mind goes blank and –
“Mm… hah…,” he releases your mouth, fingers traveling lower until they enclose around your neck loosely. Your eyes widen when he finally slides in his middle finger. Deeper and deeper until it hits his knuckle. Drool drips from your mouth as his fingers go from lightly squeezing your neck to shoving three down your mouth.
“C’mon baby… you can’t make too much noise, okay?” Nodding your head, your hips buck into his hand – an attempt to get his finger to thrust in and out. Something you saw in an erotic romance novel – one that was forgotten on the floor, somewhere in the village. In the back of your mind, you wonder if anyone picked it up.
You also wonder why you bothered backing him into this closed off corner after he confronted you with a teasing smile about the book – in his hand, but isolated from everyone else. You don’t even remember what had transpired after he sneaked up on you. You try not to question his decision in bringing it up in the village, instead of your home, preferably your bed.
Gabel starts to thrust his finger in and out at a lazy pace. Instead of whispering sweet nothings to you, like he always would, his fingers leave your mouth, only to grab your chin and turn your face to meet his halfway. Tongue playing with yours, by instinct, mixed with embarrassment, you try to pull away. He lets you, but only for a moment.
“I thought you wanted to kiss with tongue? It was highlighted in the novel.” He brings your face closer again, licking your lips before giving you room to speak. His fingering didn’t stop, however.
“I – I… Um, I…” stammering, you can’t force the words out. You did want to kiss with tongue, but it was embarrassing. You wanted to try out things from that novel, pleasure him in ways you couldn’t even dream of attempting to. But you think you know why he wouldn’t allow things to go further than kissing and using your hands.
You were a virgin and unwed. And Gabel had no intention of giving you a ring.
You don’t want to be here anymore, suddenly. Because while he slept with a woman or two before you, they were fine with the breakup. And they were on good terms with each other. And they didn’t expect anything from him in the first place.
And yet, he wouldn’t even let you go down on him or the other way around. He wouldn’t undress you or look at your bare cunt or breasts. Would only ever grope them over your dress, and whenever he fingered you, he would never watch how his fingers would slide in and out.
Always from behind, too. Never in your room, never in his, never when you were fully alone, but always had the risk of being caught, no matter how low.
“A-ah, um, oh – “
“Shh, keep your voice down.”
And then he adds a third finger, and you’re seeing stars behind closed eyes as he covers your mouth again. His erection was getting stiffer, harder in your hand. You want to suck it. Bounce on it until your legs give out, have his hands on your waist, or hug and hold you gently as his body hovers above yours on your bed. You want to try out all those things you read in that novel, even if your shyness would hinder it a bit.
You wanted Gabel to try them out with you too. You didn’t really try to hide it a month after reading it. Maybe you were a liar to both him and yourself.
“G-Gabel…,” you whine, grabbing his wrist, stopping him from fingering you. He doesn’t hesitate to stop and peppers your face with kisses. Like he was soothing you, but you didn’t want that, you wanted –
“More. P-please…” you want to run. You want to stay. You wish you would make up your mind.
You’re met with silence. He nuzzles his nose into the crook of your neck so gently you could have mistaken it for affection. Gabel pulls his fingers out slowly but doesn’t tease your clit for a few seconds like he usually would. He doesn’t do anything but adjust the skirt of your dress, and you try to ignore the throb of your heart when you feel his cock going limp in your hand.
“Mm, we should go before anyone comes by.”
You were a virgin and unwed. And Gabel had no intentions of giving you a ring.
Much less a future together.
“L-lets… end it. Here.”
And you were tired of hoping.
