"i  know  i  ain't  gonna  be  easy,  but  we  got  time,  right?  don't  see  us  goin'  anywhere  else  for  a  while."  the  question  would  be  where,  too.  this  ...  whatever  this  was  that  had  ended  life  as  they  knew  it  was  everywhere.  there  were  reports  about  people  going  dying  &  coming  back  worldwide  before  communications  went  down.  so  it  wasn't  like  they  could  just  steal  a  boat  &  get  away  from  it  all.  he  also  doubted  their  supplies  would  last  them  long  enough  to  make  it  to  europe  ...  or  asia.  no,  thank  you.  maybe  they  just  had  to  hold  out,  surely  someone  ...somewhere  was  working  on  a  fix.  a  cure  or  ...  something.  this  couldn't  be  the  end  ....end,  could  it?

fuck,  he  shouldn't  think  about  that  now.  focus  on  the  now,  focus  on  this  group,  focus  on  yourself.  shaking  his  head  a  little,  he  let  his  gaze  roam  the  newly-acquired  living  space;  typical  office.  desks,  chairs,  drawers,  some  dead,  some  plastic  plants,  trashcans,  some  shelves,  computers  that  no  longer  had  a  use.  they  could  toss  most  of  it  or  recycle  it.  that  ..  was  partially  why  andrew  was  here  with  him.  "if  we're  gonna  stay  here,  i  was  thinkin'  maybe  we  should  try'n  plant.  we  got  big-ass  fuckin'  windows  for  sunlight  an'  if  we  can  get  water  goin',  find  some  seeds...  y'know...?"  that  was  for  the  window  area  anyway.  the  rest  of  the  floor?  he  wasn't  sure  yet.  he  knew  some  wanted  an  area  to  practice  fighting  in  that  wasn't  right  by  the  tents  downstairs.  he'd  propose  giving  them  all  more  private  space  by  splitting,  but  ...  bad  idea.  very  bad. 

"so...  what're  ya  thinkin'?" he had his shoulder in a sling, though the hurt one came up into a shrug as well. "any ideas you got, i'm with ya."

23 Republican Senators & 124 Congressmen signed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court asking for a 50 state ban on mifepristone, a drug safer than tylenol that is standard treatment for abortion & miscarriages, "due to safety concerns". The brief DARES to argue that banning the life saving drug would save women from 'reproductive control'. (x) These 147 people would rather have women die of sepsis than let women control their own bodies. If your representatives are on this list, call them and tell their office you will be voting against them in the next election because they asked SCOTUS to throw the US medical drug system into chaos at the cost of American lives.

FALLECE DANA DIMEL EX COACH DE LOS UTEP MINERS

EL PASO, Texas., martes 3 de Diciembre de 2024.- El ex entrenador en jefe de fútbol americano de UTEP, Dana Dimel, falleció a los 62 años.

De acuerdo con una declaración en X de Pete Roussel, Dimel falleció mientras dormía.

"Es muy triste escuchar el inesperado fallecimiento del entrenador Dimel anoche", dijo la presidenta de UTEP, Heather Wilson. "Era infaliblemente agradable y decente con todos. Mis pensamientos están con su familia y los cientos de estudiantes-atletas que fueron impactados positivamente por él durante décadas como entrenador".

"Me entristece enterarme del fallecimiento del entrenador Dimel", dijo el vicepresidente y director de atletismo de UTEP, Jim Senter. "Ha sido un constructor de programas de fútbol, un mentor de jóvenes y ha tocado muchas vidas. Tuvo una distinguida carrera como entrenador de fútbol americano, y su arduo trabajo fue apreciado por sus compañeros y los fanáticos en Kansas State, Wyoming, Houston, Arizona, UTEP e Illinois. Dimel fue un veterano de 35 años en la comunidad de entrenadores, incluidas paradas como entrenador en jefe en Wyoming (1997-99), Houston (2000-02) y UTEP (2018-23).

Handcuff Strategy

In my last article I talked about RB Strategy as we head into our drafts. This article is one that I think ties in very well with that one.

Handcuffing is a strategy that involves drafting the direct backup to your star player, so that you are still locked into the performance of that situation. This is most often a strategy that people attribute to RB. When a star RB goes down in an offense that utilizes the RB very well, you are still going to get good performances out of the backups.

Most recently this was shown in Tennessee when Derrick Henry went down and D'Onta Foreman stepped in and performed very well. Last year as well when the Panthers traded CMC away, and Chubba Hubbard and Foreman(again) had great seasons.

Now, I am a believer in the handcuff strategy, but not in every instance. Not every stud has a clearly defined back up, and some situations are player dependent. This year, there are a few RB that I think handcuffing makes a lot of sense.

Derrick Henry is one. He is a prime candidate due to the Curse of the 370, and the fact that we know that his back up is Tyjae Spears.

The next candidate is Bijan Robinson. If Bijan gets hurt (god forbid) we know that Tyler Allegeir is going to be the guy.

The next candidate might be one that is unexpected. The next name is Mark Andrews. Mark Andrews is a great example of a guy who has a direct back up, who will step into the same role, in Isaiah Likely.

CMC is the last name that I will list here. While his situation is a little murkier, Elijah Mitchell will be the next man up in the primary role. While guys like Deebo Samuel will also see an updated role, Mitchell is the primary beneficiary.
