Thanks to the publisher for sending me an ARC through YA Midwest Book Festival in exchange for an honest review.
✩ 🏙️❤️Review:
Susan Lee’s newest release is a fun summer romance!
“The Name Drop” follows Jessica Lee (an aspiring college student) and Elijah Ri (a future CEO) whose identities are mistaken when they arrive in New York City for internships at Haneul Corporation. Rather than give up the charade, the two decide to stay switched so that Elijah can explore life at the bottom of the corporate ladder while Jessica can make the connections she desperately needs for college recommendations as the new executive-in-training intern. As they work together to avoid discovery, a spark develops between them that is impossible to ignore.
I really like how Lee’s novel alternates between the viewpoints of Jessica and Elijah. Both characters lead wildly different lives because of their status in society—Jessica being considered lower middle by American standards and Elijah being considered “elite” by Korean standards—which allows the reader to compare and contrast their respective upbringings and discern how it affects their character motivations. Lee also broaches important topics like sexism and misogyny in relation to Korean culture and the impact such norms have on women through the perspective of Jessica.
Jessica and Elijah’s chance meeting upon learning that they share the same Korean name is the perfect foundation for their reluctant romance. Before the two even act on the chemistry they have, they develop an easygoing friendship that I loved following. Their shared moments exploring New York together, trying new restaurants, and working together as part of the internship program made made my heart flutter, so much so that when they finally became a couple, I nearly suffered from a cuteness overload.
I could not recommend this enough to those who love reading upper ya romance books and cannot wait to see what Lee puts out next!

the floor is lava by Winchesterek
For @sterekweekly prompt imagine, @sterekbingo square the floor is lava, and @domaystic day 13 taking turns.

There was a scream from the kitchen that startled Stiles awake and his hand went to his head. He blinked several times and the shriek came again, but he recognized it as Elijah and the growl that followed as Derek.
Stiles rested back against the couch again, sighing and pulling a pillow under his head. The childish giggles and playful growls from the other room calmed him and settled his soul. He’d been extremely exhausted lately, but Derek taking Elijah so he could get in some naps always seemed to help him feel a little better. He always forgot how much pregnancy took a toll on his body, but he wouldn't trade baby Ava for the world. He already loved her so much and she was due any day now.
It didn't take long for the sounds to drift into the living room and Elijah shouted, “The floor is lava!”
Sometimes that kid had the wildest imagination. Stiles, of course, was not touching the floor and he for sure couldn't jump from place to place to play the floor is lava.
He smiled at them and chuckled, pulling the throw blanket over him more. “Well, kiddo, I’m already off the floor so I won't burn to death. The lava won't get me, I promise.”
Elijah effortlessly jumped onto an end table and then Derek came into the room by leaping from the kitchen and onto their couch. He gave a playful growl and Stiles shook his head, but he was smiling.
“Please don't break the furniture because I don't want to have more delivered.” Of course, he was teasing them and while it would suck having broken furniture, he knew that Derek would get it replaced quickly.
“We won't, Daddy! We promise!” Elijah shouted.
“You have five minutes to reach the safe zone,” Derek told Elijah, his face sporting his beta shift with his fluffy cheek fur that Stiles always found amusing. And the fact that for some reason, Derek didn't have eyebrows when he shifted.
He once asked Derek where his eyebrows went when he shifted and they’d both laughed for hours because Derek didn't have an answer and had no idea why he lost his eyebrows when he shifted, unlike his betas. It had nothing to do with being an Alpha because Derek shared that Laura had eyebrows when they shifted as kids.
“Noooooo!” Elijah shrieked. “You can't catch me! You’re a big slow wolf and I’m a fast small wolf!”
Derek growled at Elijah and flashed his eyes at him, which caused Elijah to yelp and giggle, jumping onto another table and making his way back toward the kitchen, which was apparently their safe zone.
“You two are a mess.” Stiles grinned up at Derek when he walked over to him on all fours and crouched on the end table near the couch as he leaned down to give Stiles a soft kiss. Which meant Stiles had to reach up and touch the tufts of fur that sprouted from Derek’s cheeks when he shifted. Like overgrown sideburns, really.
“But you love us,” Derek replied with a soft laugh.
“I love you both so much.” He kissed Derek again and snorted as he looked past him. “Elijah’s escaping to the safe zone. You’re getting old. I thought werewolves were supposed to age slower.”
That made Derek throw his head back and laugh and Stiles always loved when he got a full-bellied laugh from Derek.
“So you don't like my graying hair?” Derek asked, reaching a hand up to touch his beard.
“Oh, no, it’s so hot. Which is one of the many reasons why I’m pregnant right now.” Stiles laughed. “Now go catch our son before I get enough energy to get up and drag you off to bed instead.”
Derek laughed again and shook his head, kissing the top of Stiles’ head. “Later,” he promised, then darted off, jumping from one piece of furniture to the next, on his way to catch Elijah before he made it to the safe zone.
Stiles smiled as he watched them, his hand moving down to rub over his belly as Ava shifted and rolled, reminding him that she was there too.
He loved them all so damn much and Stiles was thankful he never had to find out what living without them was like.
His beautiful family of three would soon be four. Stiles smiled again as happy giggles and playful shouts came from the kitchen.
It sounded like Elijah beat Derek to the safe zone, which was one more thing Stiles had to tease Derek about later when they went to bed. Warmth and happiness filled Stiles’ chest as he snuggled into the couch and drifted back off to sleep.

Ok, but... a Kdrama but starring Elijah Wood in his 20s/early 30s.
I think he'd totally fit in with the dreamy, yet down to earth aesthetic of many romantic K-dramas.
He is the mysterious, quirky foreign photographer/student doing field research/somesuch person staying in a small town in the countryside, and the female lead meets him when she comes home from the big city in disgrace to take a career break. Her elderly grandmother happens to be renting a room to Elijah... Also all the elderly locals who keep gossiping about his appearance and activities, and saying completely unacceptable things that only old people can get away with, even though they know full well he speaks the language.
I even totally have an idea for how a foreigner like him came to a small town. Small town native is a businessman who has made it in Seoul. Businessman’s son goes to university in the US, and Elijah is his friend/classmate, who has an academic interest in Korea. Classmate gives Elijah the idea to go to the small Korean town his family is from to take pictures/do thesis research/whatever, introduces him to the people whose good graces he will need, and the rest is history. So Elijah is not 100% the random outsider.
Also the idea of Elijah speaking a foreign language just makes me melt.
(Time to watch Welcome to Samdal-Ri, which Netflix keeps shoving in my face. It's been a while since I last watched a kdrama....)
@konartiste for the fandom-melding. @konjugaltdien because Elijah.

My Rating: ★★★★★
*My Review below the cut.
My Review:
This was such a delightful book. The characters were real and three-dimensional and easy to root for. Jessica was so driven and capable and it was wonderful to see Elijah becoming self-confident and learning that he could actually work hard and enjoy it. The story was easy to follow and though some of it was predictable there were also a few small twists. The characters were where it really shined. They felt like friends that I was reluctant to leave behind. It was a perfect feel-good romance and I enjoyed every minute of it. I was also impressed at how it managed to be both a feel-good summer romance AND an indictment of wealthy corporate executives and the misogyny that can be found in corporate culture. Also BTS was mentioned and that is always a highlight for me. And then to discover in the author's note that she is ARMY, and that the dedication is a quote from Kim Namjoon himself! And quoting Run made total sense with the message and narrative of the story. *Thanks to Bookishfirst and Inkyard Press for providing an early copy for review.

Book Blurb:
New from the author of Seoulmates comes a story of mistaken identities, the summer of a lifetime, and a love to risk everything for.

It doesn’t take long for Elijah and Jessica to discover the source of the mistake: they share the same Korean name. But they decide to stay switched—so Elijah can have a relaxing summer away from his controlling dad while Jessica can make the connections she desperately needs for college recommendations.
As Elijah and Jessica work together to keep up the charade, a spark develops between them. Can they avoid discovery—and total disaster—with their feelings and futures on the line?
Review:
She's the poor girl who had to struggle to get everything she's wanted, he's the rich boy who doesn't want any of the thing's his wealth has given him, and a chance mistake at an airport in which they're mistaken for the other because they share the same name leads to the most unlikely summer internship while they take a chance and live in the other's life and possibly find romance. Jessica Lee has struggled financially all her life, budgeting and just trying to get by. She's finally found an internship that would give her the opportunity to make connections that would help her get recommendation letters to go to college. Elijah Ri is the son of the CEO of the Haneul Corporation and is expected to be the next future CEO despite how much he doesn't want it. Elijah grew up rich, throwing money at problems has been the way he was taught to deal with issues, but it's lonely being forced to live in this lifestyle, being seen as a disappointment by his father, and never being allowed to be himself. Elijah is meant to be working at his dad's company for the summer but when Elijah and Jessica have a mix up at the airport because they share the same Korean name suddenly, Jessica is being treated as the new executive-in-training and being flown first class while Elijah is being put in an internship in a tiny place living with 10 other interns. Elijah and Jessica realize the mix up but come up with the idea to keep up the charade as Elijah wants freedom from his father and wants to actually experience things while Jessica will get the chance to live like the other half for the first time. They both agree to help each other keep up the act but while doing so they begin to spend more time together and explore New York as romance blooms between them, but for two people who come from different worlds and live different lifestyles, can romance work? This was a really cute ya rom com about mistaken identity and two opposites attract. Elijah and Jessica are so different but they work perfectly together, they care about each other and balance each other out. I loved the ending for them and this was just a fun feel good read!
*Thanks Netgalley and Inkyard Press for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

REASONING: When Nilay had been found on the orphanage steps, there had been no information on her name or her birthday. SKIN TONE: Light Olive/Beige with Olive and warm undertones, can become extremely tan in the summer.
TATTOOS: Twelve, more to come
📜When Nilay was 19, she got a tattoo of her Hebrew name: Ye'or, יאור. It means “It Will Shine/The Light of the River/The Nile” and is located on the back of her neck. In the same spot as Hande's butterfly tattoo. 📜She has a small Ancient Egyptian-inspired Lotus outline tattoo on her lower back. The Lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures, especially in eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower. She got this when she was 20 in Egypt. 📜While in Turkey a few weeks after leaving Egypt during summer break, she got both an Evil Eye and Hand of Hamsa tattoo on her right inner arm above her elbow. The Evil Eye is meant for protection, as well as the Hand of Hamsa. Nilay had gotten this as a way to connect with and honour her Turkish roots while also tying in her Jewish upbringing and culture, along with her Egyptian culture. 📜On her right side, she has the cartouche of Pharaoh Hatshepsut tattooed on her. In honour of her favourite historical figure. 📜On her right thigh, she has a tattoo of an Egyptian Cypress tree with pearls on the branches. Underneath it is Shajar al-Durr’s name in Arabic. Shajar al-Durr became the sultana of Egypt on May 2nd, 1250 and ended the Ayyubid reign and started the Mamluk reign. Her name means “tree of pearls” in Arabic. 📜On her left thigh, she has an outline of the Atik Valide Mosque tattooed there. The complex was one of the many accomplishments of Nurbanu Sultan, the Haseki Sultan of Sultan Selim the Second, her legal husband, and Valide Sultan of Sultan Murad the Third, her son. 📜Nurbanu is another one of Nilay’s favourite historical figures, alongside Hatshepsut, Shlomtzion/Salome Alexandra, Empress Theodora, and Shajar al-Durr, so it made sense to her to have a tattoo in honour of Nurbanu. 📜She’d gotten those three tattoos when she was 21. 📜Before she left for Egypt, she got a small blank Polaroid picture tattooed on her left side. A few months after Hattie was born, she got a tattoo of an Egyptian lotus in the blank picture with Hattie’s birthday in Roman numerals written underneath. 📜Right next to her tattoo dedicated to Hattie, she has a dove tattoo featuring a mama dove and two baby doves sitting on an olive branch, dedicated to her girls. 📜Along with those two tattoos dedicated to her daughters, she had gotten another set dedicated to them: both of their initials (HAB and RNF) tatted on her right wrist. 📜She got both of those tattoos when she was 33, a couple of weeks before her 34th birthday in 2023. 📜After the premiere of her first docuseries that she hosted, she got her eleventh tattoo in honour of the next step in her career: the Egyptian goddess, Aset/Isis, located on her chest beneath her breast, like Rihanna’s. 📜She’s has a small rainbow next to her Polaroid with the lotus and the mama & baby doves duo, in honour of Rhiannon.
PIERCINGS: Standard lobe piercings (both), upper lobe piercings (both), auricle piercings (both), helix piercing (left), stomach piercing, and nipple piercings. Debating on getting a Medusa piercing.
MARKS/SCARS:
📜Has a couple of minor scars from playing around a lot as a child. 📜Has some minor burn scars on the palms of her hands, knees, and shins from when a group of her bullies stuffed her in a metal dog kennel during a hot day in Cairo, causing the kennel to become overheated and the metal to leave some thin one-inch burn scars. 📜Her most prominent scars are on her stomach. She has a scar that’s become light now on her lower abdomen from her Cesarean-section to deliver Hattie, though it was reopened for her C-section op with Rhia. 📜She also has around five, scattered one inch scars in various places on her stomach, due to her attack back in July 2021 and being stabbed multiple times.
NOTABLE FEATURES: Her big brown eyes, her short height, her smile, her nose.
USUAL EXPRESSION: Either a soft smile on her face or furrowed brows while deep in thought.
CLOTHING STYLE: Varies on her mood, activities, and the season. Typically bohemian/global-inspired and items from global brands, adventurer, vintage, artsy, casual, comfy athletic, dark and light academic, but can also glam it up for the occasion.
JEWELRY: Is a major necklace and ring girl. Prefers gold jewelry. Loves to layer her necklaces and can typically be seen wearing her locket, her Rhiannon pendant, a gold and sapphire Magen David, and a gold Chai (“life),חי.
ALLERGIES: None.
DIET: None, will eat anything.
PHYSICAL AILMENTS: Placenta previa and migraines.
📜𝙿𝚂𝚈𝙲𝙷𝙾𝙻𝙾𝙶𝚈
JUNG TYPE: Extraverted Thinking - Principled, idealistic, objective, rational.
JUNG SUBTYPE: Introverted Feeling - Sympathetic, pleases others, may be dependent, reserved.
ENNEAGRAM TYPE: ENFJ - The Teacher
MORAL ALIGNMENT: Lawful Good
TEMPERAMENT: Sanguine
ELEMENT: Fire
PRIMARY INTELLIGENCE TYPE: Existential, Logical, Naturalist, Interpersonal, and Linguistic primarily, but she connects with all of them (Kinesthetic, Spatial, Musical, and Intra-Personal).
APPROXIMATE IQ: 200
MENTAL CONDITIONS/DISORDERS: Depression, anxiety, PTSD, migraines, memory problems, and night terrors.
SOCIABILITY: Pretty sociable, but needs moments away from too many people.
EMOTIONAL STABILITY: Typically level headed, though feels passionately and can be prone to anxiety.
OBSESSION(S): Learning and gaining more knowledge and wisdom.
COMPULSION(S): Learning everything and anything. Getting so lost into her work to the point of forgetting to take care of herself yet always remembering to take care of others. Suffers from the delusional “How hard can it be?” syndrome when it comes to DIY-ing and renovating her home, and being bad at asking Eli for help or accepting his help. Buying way too many plants and things for the house. Always wanting to adopt every single animal she sees, including the wild animals. Would adopt a rabbit if Eli wasn’t against it.
PHOBIA(S): Arachnophobia and acrophobia. Has a fear of dog kennels. Fear of not being enough and being others', especially the people she loves, second choice. Is afraid of losing her memories completely one day.
ADDICTION(S): Can one be addicted to learning?
DRUG USE: Minor marijuana use occasionally, typically through gummies. Occasionally smokes shisha.
ALCOHOL USE: Once in a while, is more of a social drinker.
PRONE TO VIOLENCE?: No, has only intentionally been violent once in an attempt to defend herself during her attack.
📜𝙼𝙰𝙽𝙽𝙴𝚁𝙸𝚂𝙼𝚂
SPEECH STYLE: Formal and intimate, medium tone.
ACCENT: Primarily Egyptian with a light southern Turkish accent. Her voice is inspired by Egyptian actress, Yasmine Sabri, and Hande Ercel's.
HOBBIES: Spending time with her family, spending time with her friends, practicing her Judaism, staying active in the community, horseback riding, learning anything and everything, learning a new language, reading, doing research for her projects, dancing, exercising, filming for either her YouTube/Instagram content or for documentaries she participates in or hosts, decorating her and Eli's house whenever inspiration strikes, historical reenactments, ghost hunting, cleaning tombstones at the local cemetery, visiting the old graves with flowers, and researching the residents at the cemetery so that their memories and stories could live on.
HABITS AND QUIRKS: Keeping her thoughts to herself, sometimes struggles to stand up to herself but has gotten better about that, and avoiding those she believes dislikes her. Tends to play with one of her necklaces when deep in thought or is anxious. When passionate, she can become quite a rambler, going on a tangent without remembering to take a breath until she done. During her rambles, rants, and tangents, she also tends to speak with her hands (or, well, speaks with her hands in general; she's Turkish, Egyptian, and Jewish, what do you want from her?). Is very shy and polite when you first meet her, but once you get to know her? Loud, absolutely loud and energetic. She is not yelling, she is simply talking. (Again, she's Mediterranean and Middle Eastern; old habits die hard.)
NERVOUS TICKS: Playing with her Magen David.
DRIVES/MOTIVATIONS: Her family being happy and getting to accomplish all of her career goals.
FEARS: Losing her family, not being enough, being in a coma again and losing large tracks of time, losing all of her memories entirely, heights, spiders, dog kennels, and her attacker coming back.

GREATEST DREAM: To be happy with her family, make more history-changing discoveries, expand her career more, and write more books.
GREATEST FEAR: To lose her family, to go into another coma and lose a large track of time, to not be enough.
MOST AT EASE WHEN: In organized chaos and doing something.
LEAST AT EASE WHEN: Standing still and doing nothing.
WORST POSSIBLE THING THAT COULD HAPPEN: Losing her family completely.
BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT: Her children.
BIGGEST REGRET: Not telling Elijah about her feelings sooner and ending up leading on someone she cared up, and ending up hurting them in the end.
MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT: Having her first time involving her first kiss and sex being a drunken one night stand with a man she never met, doesn't remember what he looks like, yet also doesn't regret it because it led to her having Hattie. So, a massive win, in the end.
BIGGEST SECRET: She doesn't fully feel alive. After her multiple brushes with death, Nilay has often had moments where she couldn't know for certain if she was alive or not. She doesn't talk about it with anyone because she doesn't want to scare her loved ones that she oftentimes feel more like a ghost than a living being.
TOP PRIORITIES: Her family and loved ones, her Judaism, her careers.

OH, I love me a good chosen family. Do you have any favorite groups/families of all time in terms of kdramas? And I’m definitely on the same boat as you re: dramas this year. I think I’ve dropped more dramas than finished any this year, but the ones I did finish, I loved (twinkling watermelon T_T). I’m glad you get to spend your holidays with loved ones! I have a few family members coming to visit as well so I’m excited for that! Anyways~ i hope your weekend ends on a high note! ~*Secret Santa*~
i definitely do! the core five in goblin are deffo super high on my list (kim shin, grin reaper, sunny, euntak, deok-hwa) and the other number one spot goes to the geumga plaza tenants in vincenzo. then a recent entry are the drone family from castaway diva, they were my favourite thing in the whole show. also yohan, elijah and ga-on in the devil judge, the main trio in it’s okay to not be okay, the brothers in tvn’s life, the gang surrounding jin jeong in bad prosecutor, and the soldiers and se-ri in crash landing on you. 🫶
also twinkling watermelon is still on my list to watch! what were some kdrama tropes you really loved this year (or even in general?) ☺️ and i am glad to hear you’re also spending the holidays with loved ones, that’s always the best thing about it! hope you’re having a good start to your week. 💕

2 Kings 1: 9-12. "The Two Captains."
The word captain in Hebrew seren, means "axle". Axles are scribes that connect the intention behind scripture with its implementation in society. They are the hopefuls for the conditions around the world that incite the onset of Mashiach.
It is the King's job to provide clear instructions to his military captains who operationalize policy, and they are, of course. supposed to provide intelligence in return.
There are debates as to whether or not the Temple and the State should converse and the answer is yes. Not through party politics and pacs, but through the underwear of the process, the notions that all men deserve a chance to be happy in a legal way that suits them. The assumption is it is the government's job to protect the legality of this.
This belief gives government power, if put in the hands of ethical persons to legislate the Grace of God into being.
Ethical legislators are the Captains of the State. In Jewish Monarchy, the process takes place within the Melachim, the King of Israel and his court; and that means all the ridiculum we debate about gay rights, marriage equality, election integrity, true religious freedom, whether to stop war crimes or not etc. would be resolved by one ethical king who would regulate through proclamation, these things shall not be.
Except these things are alive and well and we are failing somehow to make the connection between the scripture, the scribe, the church and the state, the Crown and the Gown. We are observing traditions about these things instead of their essence and the results are obvious.
Continuing our story, Elijah is tasked by God to stop Ahaziah, "grasps" and Moab, "the traditions." Ahaziah sends captains to apprehend him and God responds:
9 Then he sent to Elijah a captain with his company of fifty men. The captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him, “Man of God, the king says, ‘Come down!’”
10 Elijah answered the captain, “If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!” Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.
11 At this the king sent to Elijah another captain with his fifty men. The captain said to him, “Man of God, this is what the king says, ‘Come down at once!’”
12 “If I am a man of God,” Elijah replied, “may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!” Then the fire of God fell from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men.
The top of the hill is a stage of Shabbat where one gives up on one's delusions. Jesus is not coming again, He is not going to give us all eternal life like Halloween candy, He is not going to wave His hand and stop suffering, God does not care if you eat a pig or a lizard. There is no evidence for any of this.
To attain to the top of the hill is to make the difficult confession to oneself, "that is all superstition, it is not real." The second stage of the Hill is to admit, "Eternal life is a myth, and lots of people are dying before their time...all around me."
The Axle, the Captain inside us reveals "this is wrong, it is forbidden by God and the process of murder running amok on this world has to be halted."
The Captain looks for ways the religion can correct, instead of exacerabate the causes of error on this world.
The Captain and a Company of Fifty Men has a Gematria Value of 3616, גואו, "soared". The Hebrew word for soaring is himri:
The singular versions of these pronouns are: הוא (hu) for the masculine 'he' and 'it,' and היא (hi) for the feminine 'she' and 'it.' Note that the form הוא (hw') is also a verb, namely הוא (hawa'), which is an unusual variant of the more common verbs הוה (hawa I) and היה (haya), and all mean 'to be'.
The myrrh part we know, but add ri to it =
There are two roots of the form רוח (rwh), one having to do with breath and the other one with being wide, and note that the same duality exists in the word נפש (nepesh), which denotes a living being.
Because a living being breathes in and out and the form רוח (rwh) also means to enlarge and is associated with air around us, it appears that רוח (rwh) is mostly associated with one's inhaling of universally available air, whereas the verb פוה (puah), meaning to blow, is mostly associated with exhaling one's personal breath.
Captains and their Company are therefore those who inhale the myrrh, the words of Moses, and exhale, or speak of them and scent society's order of business with them.
The next section is reminiscent of a debate between God, Moses and the People in Shmot regarding the fact they could not legally go up to see God on the top of Sinai because they were too sinful, so God had to come down.
The implication is a thorough analysis of one's delusory habits and departures from the Decrees will reveal why God is not Present, nor shall He bless this world until it agrees to follow those Ten Rules.
I used to think the Prime Commandment "love your neighbor as you love yourself" was enough, but it is not. We really do have to remind people not to lie, to steal, to murder, don't we?
Our first trip as a modern humanity then is to realize we are not doing any of these things and we must comply.
The Gematria for this portion of 2 Kings will explain the rest:
v.9: What does it mean, "Man of God, come down?"
The Number is 11401, יאדאֶפֶסא, yadafesa, "understanding of social faithfulness."
v. 10: the Number is 9611, טויא, toya, AKA Torah.
v. 11: The Number is 7905, זט אֶפֶסה, Zet Ephesus, "The Olive Bloom of the New Civilization."
"The noun זית (zayit) means olive or olive tree. The blossoming of the olive tree was a sign that the winter was over and spring (ziv) had arrived. The oil from the olive was used in lamps and in medical procedures and became known as a light bringer and a healer.
Kings, prophets and priests were anointed into their offices with olive oil, and in proper societies these offices are not political but based on demonstrable levels of practical, fruit bearing wisdom."
v. 12: The Number is 8813, חחאג, hahag, "One Hebrew Year."
ha= the seeing of the clustering, to witness.
hag= The masculine noun חג (hug), meaning circle or circuit. It's used a mere three times, twice to denote the hydrologic cycle (Job 22:14, Proverbs 8:27) and once to describe the "cycle of the earth," which appears to denote the more fundamental thermodynamic cycle (Isaiah 40:22).
The First Hebrew Year, 3761, means גזוא "cut off", meaning Eden. We are presently living in year 5784, הזחד, "the year of alms."
One Year, 581, החא, is plain old ha. The Number for a Man of God is 189, or One, AKA Echad.
The object lesson in this section therefore is derived from the Gematria for Two Captains and their Companies is called Ha Echad, how to create harmony across the nations and all the mankinds of which they are comprised:
"Take two nations. On the surface, their goals and aspirations run counter to each other, giving rise to conflict and strife. But dissect these goals, item by item, and you will inevitably find areas in which they overlap and complement each other.
This common ground may cover but five percent of each nation’s collective will, but a beachhead of harmony has been achieved. Delve deeper yet, and this beachhead can be expanded.
Explore the inner workings of each individual of each nation’s millions, and the countless particulars of each individual’s will, and additional areas of common interest and mutual dependency will come to light. The differences will remain, but instead of fueling strife, they will serve as the building blocks of harmonious coexistence."
This is easily surpassed using the Kabbalah of the Two Captains:
Assess the situation and evaluate for social consciousness.
Apply the Instructions in the Torah.
Create an object lesson that can be used to affect policy.
Implement the policy by following the secular processes.
We will meet the Third Captain, the Third Axle Between the Nations, in the next section of 2 Kings 1.

Autograph from Elijah Wood by me!
Recently, I went to RI Comic Con, & I had a great time! I was successful in obtaining many autographs, & I will be sharing them here! Here is one of my autographs. This one was by actor Elijah Wood, who has been in several beloved movies such as Back to the Future Part 2, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Sin City, Happy Feet, & so much more, as well as many televisions shows as well. He was really nice, & he even had his mother along with him & she asked me how I've been enjoying my time! In this drawing, we see Frodo Baggins from Lord of the Rings, Mumble the penguin from Happy Feet, & Wirt from Over the Garden Wall confronting Kevin from Sin City in all of his terrifying black & white glory! I hope you guys like this, & if you're reading this, thank you Mr. Wood for signing my drawing!
