Little Legolas  took a long time to learn how to shoot from a bow but couldn’t hit the target. The teacher encouraged the prince but said that not all elves maage to achieve high achievements.

Sometimes from the side, secretly from the prince, Thranduil watched, rejoicing at the achievements of his son and frustrated by the sad eyes of the leaf.

The king decided to intervene, seeing his son, head bowed, slowly walking to a small pond. Thranduil walked quietly, so that the boy did not hear his steps, but saw only the image on the water.The kid raised his big blue tearful eyes upward, looking inquiringly at his father. 

Thranduil slowly raised   his baby in his arms and whispered into Legolas’ eyes, whispering softly:

My brave warrior, you need a little time and prautics and you’ll be a great shooter

Hey everybody!

Well, this post is written in both English as I decided to practice it during quarantine. Usually, I speak English on daily basis because I study in British university. But due to temporary home isolation I need to practice more now. So, here we are! If you’ve never read my posts before - welcome!

My name is Sveta, I am an illustrator and writer studying in British Higher School of Art and Design (BHSAD). Here I usually write about my life. It’s some kind of a diary for me. I just like to talk about the events of my life, but don’t feel like sharing all of my thoughts with my close friends (I am simply afraid that they will get sick of me talking that much). Here, while writing, I am describing everything shortly so that’s fine. Plus, I hope that in my posts people may find something interesting for themselves.

By the way, I also have an account called @elfillustrator​ . There I post the process of my projects, lots of sketches, short animations (these will appear soon) and other illustration staff that you might like.

And today I just wanted to tell you about my new project. This is the final project for this study year. Hopefully, we’ll be able to arrange an exhibition as it was planned. So, this one is about our imagination. Lately, I was thinking about this whole quarantine thing and how thousands of people (if not millions) around the world are forced to stay at home and not travel or even go outside. Personally, I love to travel so much and this whole isolation thing is a total disaster for me. So, I thought, how can I travel and make the world seem more interesting and magical if I’m not allowed to go out of my house? Well, the answer is IMAGINATION.

Have you seen The Bridge to Terabithia movie? I love that one. The main characters wanted adventures so much that they imagined some magical creatures and these almost became real for the teenagers. Basically, they created the whole magical kingdom for themselves.

So, what was I talking about... In my work I want to show how we can make our world bright and special even in the darkest times. We just need to learn how to see once again. There are a lot of secrets waiting for us to notice them. Have you ever looked at the mountain thinking that the castle would look perfect on it? That’s exactly what I’m talking about! We can easily fill this world with magic and then bring it to life.

 Now, I am experimenting with this idea and trying to reflect it in the best way through animation, comics, 3D models and so on. If you have any suggestions (or questions) about this project, please, DM me! I’ll be happy to receive any kind of feedback to make my work better!!!
