I mean look, here's how I see it. We're definitely going to be short a great presence in defense without Manu Vanegas, AND if Abadia doesn't start to screw his head on right subs wise, we're going to get beat to a pulp. Not even in the score, like, we will be physically beat into submission bc the Jamaicans are very fast, they have good stamina, they can body players left and right, and while we do have very physical players, they're not ready to be 90min physical.

THAT SAID, the bench has some great defenders. Tbh I would put in Ana Maria Guzman or Daniela Caracas who've proven both at the U20 level/U17 level and the senior level that they're very capable and reliable. Maybe it's even time to roll out there with Ivonne Chacon starting next to Linda and Elexa Bahr in a line of three, especially knowing that the defense will make it their mission to corral Linda. The other 2 are like dark horse strikers next to her and they're very physical and fast.

We also can't discount the abilities of the vets. A line with Lady Andrade orchestrating the game would be amazing, and with a double 8 with Diana Ospina it would be a team that finds spaces.

I am afraid a Lil, but that's good! If the road to a final was easy, the cup wouldn't be worth playing. Jamaica is a GREAT team and I'm looking forward to a great game.
