Sleighbell Wishes

If it can actually be believed, it managed to snow in Louisiana for the first time in a long time.

All the way from Baton Rouge to New Orleans the paved streets and old crypts were covered in powder white snow.

The tiny hidden town of Ambrose was no exception. Repairs had to hold off and there were no tourists to murder so what did our favorite six townsfolk have planned for this most chilly of seasons? Well I'll tell you. My name is Pinstripe. I'll be your festive narrator for this evening. Where to begin? Ah. Let's start with our favorite artistic couple Ellie and Vincent shall we?

See, the calm twin of the Sinclair's has been planning something very special for his sweetheart for quite some time. Even asking Lester, Ava and Percy for help. Of course all three of them agreed and tonight, it was all about to come to fruition….

Vincent peeked out the curtains, Salem on his shoulder. Making a rather disgruntled noise, his eye darted nervously as he scanned the snow covered street for his brother's pickup. No, Bo couldn't keep a secret to save his life, especially not one as important as this. Vincent had to call upon Lester for this one. Lester had been in town with Ava all day so as not to arouse suspicion from Ellie if Vincent had left.

Ellie walked down the hall, barefoot as always. "Something the matter, Vinny? You've been looking out the window all day."

Vinny silently grimaced, thankful for his mask hiding his face, holding his hand to sign. "No, I'm fine…are the cookies almost done?"

Ellie smiled. "No, they aren't. But some things bother you..cant you tell me?"

Vincent shook his head, signing. "Not yet. If I tell you, I'm going to ruin the surprise."

"A surprise? For me?"

The mute artist nodded, Salem leaping off his shoulder as Vincent stood to his full height. "We have to go somewhere to get it. Why don't you put on one of those really pretty Christmas dresses you bought with the girls?"

Ellie smiled, walking back down the hall but not before gently lifting Vincent's mask slightly and kissing his cheek.

He couldn't help but smile and blush, that woman had such a hold on him.

Vincent pulled on a nice sweater and got bundled up as the doorbell rang. Vincent opened it, finding it was Lester and Ava.

"Ya'll ready to head out?"

Vincent nodded, "give her a minute, she'-"

Ellie emerged from their shared bedroom as beautiful as a Christmas dream, nothing fancy but she looked gorgeous. "Ellie! You really look good!" Ava grinned, fixing her beanie and scarf as another small flurry came off the roof.

"Thanks! Are we going to get the surprise?"

"Sure are, Ava, sweetpea why don't you help Ellie get settled in the car, make sure the heatin' works?" Lester grinned. The girls left him as Vincent scrambled back inside for the last minute items he would need, including the finished cookies placing them in a picnic basket.

"Please tell me you have everything ready…" Vincent signed quickly. Lester rolled his eyes. "Course I do! I wouldn't leave you hangin' Vinny! Ava an' Percy'd kill me…"

It was actually stressful for these boys to surprise their loves with something magical during the holidays,since they had never done so before. But with plenty of work, they were able to make them happen.

Vinny snuck the basket into the car and locked the door again as the four of them took off out of town.

Ava messaged Percy who had been waiting with their surprise in the cold.

'Yeah, Bo and I are waiting for you guys. Does she suspect?'

'i don't think so…'

Ellie was puzzled so far. Why was Vincent so nervous tonight? What was all the fuss?

Eventually coming up on the nearest town, Ellie's eyes lit up watching all the Christmas lights 2and all the most colorful displays.

The car ride was long but eventually Ava parked and everyone got out. Bo and Percy were waiting with the sleigh driver.

The sleigh was being pulled by a pair of beautiful Clydesdale horses, Christmas lights and tinsel adorned it. Bo was dresses in a black long coat with a red scarf, embers from his cigarette illuminating his face.

"A sleigh ride?!" The artist squealed. Ellie hugged Bo and Percy before they turned her in Vincent's direction. "It's was all his idea, Ellie Belle. Have fun…"

Vincent swapped seats with his twin as Bo and Percy got in their car. "Have fun!!" And with that they drove off, disappearing from our tale, for now at least.

Elegantly, helping Ellie up into the polished wooden seats, Vincent wrapped a blanket around them as the Sleigh took off, bells chiming as the horses hooves clip clopped their way down the street.

The two curled up together, watching the Christmas lights pass them by and sipping hot cocoa and cookies.

"Vincent. This is the most wonderful gift. Thank you…" the pair shared a kiss and enjoyed their evening.

Eleonora may prefer walking bare-feet in her garden, but I included the shoes on the one moodboard to give a bit of a date-with-vincent, out-in-the-park type feel. There's a lovely spring breeze and the air smells of nectar. There's a note hidden among the delicacies :) how did he manage slipping it in without you noticing? A cozy sweater in case it gets chilly, and of course a well-stocked picnic basket. Only the best for the two of you to enjoy together.

The other one, a little darker in colour, is about spending a day with Vincent when he is creating. Watching his hands as he sculpts, paints, sketches, messes with his tools - and cleans his hands before he touches you. A lovely record playing in the background. The workshop is warm and it smells like wax and that one scented candle he only lights when you're with him.

I hope you like them and that I did your vision justice! <3

Coke or Pepsi: Root Beer

Disney or Dreamworks: I don’t like either to be completely honest. I don’t like Disney, Pixar, or Dreamworks much. But every so often they put together something that is decent like Zootopia.

Coffee or tea: Gross!!

Books or movies: TV shows

Windows or Mac: Well... it depends. I like non-Mac things because I feel more in control with my computer. However with Windows there are times I get totally lost when trying to troubleshoot.

DC or Marvel: I don’t like comics really, if I do go for comics it’s usually the comic versions of my fandoms: Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Battlestar Galactica

Xbox or PlayStation: Xbox and PC mostly because they’re the only systems I own. I would add PS if I could afford it.

Dragon Age or Mass Effect: I don’t like picking BioWare faves on the spot so I’ll say Fallout 4.

Night owl or early riser: Night owl by far, despite my shitty job I at least got the luck of the draw by being able to work night shifts.

Cards or chess: I suck at both lol

Chocolate or vanilla: Neapolitan or go home. When I was little I called it Napolean ice cream.

Vans or Converse: Converse, both low and high tops. I also wear the occasional DC skate shoe. I like to channel my inner 14 year old poser skater with those. But also because they’re comfy af.

Lavellan, Trevelyan, Cadash, or Adaar: Male Adaar, Female Cadash, Male Lavellan, Male Trevelyan (Only because I’ve played them all and I like certain genders with certain races better). Plus female dwarves can have facial hair.

Star Wars or Star Trek? Star Trek

One episode per week or binge watching? Binge, because I have nothing better to do at work

Heroes or Villains? Are we talking about true villains like idk... trump? Because then heroes all the way. But if we’re talking about Villains who go through a redemption arc then yes I like them.

Notebook or on PC typing? Typing, I can’t write and be happy.

The X-Files or Supernatural? I dislike them both.

Lastly but NEVER least is the Lady of the Green, Vincent's Maiden of the Garden herself, Ellie!! (@rottent33th ) The youngest of the Angels is usually the most level headed (usually.) Adept at knowing what people need and is always there to lend a hand.

I had to do one with all three girls cause they're a chaotic mess when they're together but they love each other anyways.

*The group is getting into the car* Percy: I’m driving. Ava, out of view: Shotgun! Ellie, turning to face Ava: Aww! But you had it on the way here- Everyone except Ava: WOAH- Ava, holding a shotgun: No! I found a shotgun! And I want the front seat! *Pumps gun*

Ava: Tell Ellie about the birds and the bees. Percy: They're disappearing at an alarming rate.

Ava: Here’s a fun Christmas idea. We hang mistletoe, but instead of kissing, you have to FIGHT whoever else is under it. Ellie: Ava no. Percy: Mistlefoe. Ellie: Please stop encouraging them.
