Ministry - "N.W.O."
N.W.O. Ministry KE*A*H** (Psalm 69), 1992
It's alright, it's alright It's alright, it's alright
I'm in love without the tears of regret Open fire 'cause I love it to death Sky high with a heartache of stone You'll never see me 'cause I'm always alone
How to love without a trace of dissent I'll buy the toys if you can pay for the rent Flying high with the public in hand I'm in love with the promised land
I'm in love with a malicious intent You've been taken but you don't know it yet A truer love has never yet to be found I see the sunset through the eyes of a clown
It's alright, it's alright
What we are looking at Is good and evil, right and wrong A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order We're not about to make that same mistake twice A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order A new world order

Under the Taliban, Afghan women can't study at universities or work in most jobs.
But 22-year-old Zahra Ali has created a small business that brings in an income and provides a much-needed resource to her neighbors.
At her home workshop in Kabul, she builds rechargeable battery packs that help compensate for the country's unreliable power grid.
"I produce a lot. I can't keep up with all the orders. It's because Afghanistan faces frequent power shortages," she explains next to a work bench full of batteries, soldering irons, and electrometers.
Customers who buy the battery packs charge them when the electricity is flowing and then use them when power from the grid is intermittent or is cut off.
Before the Taliban returned to power in 2021, she studied at the Herat Institute of Technology.
Since then girls and women have been barred from secondary and higher education, and there are few places where they can work.
The Taliban has allowed limited exceptions in the health and education sectors, but these jobs come with severe restrictions and the number of women in the workforce continues to fall, according to the United Nations.
Women must also be accompanied by a male relative when traveling longer distance from their homes and can face harassment and checks even when close to home.
"It's not easy to work in the current situation. It takes a lot of effort and courage," says Ali. "I have faced many obstacles, but eventually I decided to build this workshop to generate an income, so I won't have to rely on my family and friends."
She says there were few women working in science and technology even before the Taliban resumed power, but she remains undeterred.
"Producing power banks is not a job only for men. I mean that women can do it too, but we need to work hard and be committed."

Powerman 5000 has carved out a unique sound that's often categorized as alternative metal, blending elements of funk metal, industrial metal, nu metal, and rap metal to create a genre-defying experience that's as exciting as it is hard-hitting. With eleven studio albums under their belt, they achieved major commercial success, especially with their 1999 release, Tonight the Stars Revolt!, which included chart-topping hits like "When Worlds Collide" and "Nobody's Real." This album not only earned a platinum certification but also solidified the band's place in rock history.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what music would you recommend to someone who likes Machine Girl and wants to explore that genre more?
depends what parts you like! if you like the electrometal feel, check out mad capsule markets. if you like the gonzo vocal delivery check out show me the body and godflesh. the dance stuff is harder to recommend more cuz there is so much jungle, breakcore, juke, footwork all that kinda stuff.
as for the people that kinda just sound like, overall like machine girl i don't really like many of them lol. backxwash is pretty good. alice glass is alright, ize is very fun. other than that i tend to avoid the like edgy internet breakcore scene like the plague. i've known it to be full of cryptofascists for years lmfao

I am begging Australia to be weird from their intro.
OK NOT WEIRD BUT FUN, I FUCKING LOVE THE SONG AND THE VIBE. the lighting is so good, another really good example of the effects enhancing the performance.
Sadly I can't root for them because Australia isn't Europe and its eurovi- I take it back, this fucks
The guitar THE KEYTAR, I AM LOSING MY MIND OVER THIS. IS THE GENRE ELECTROMETAL BECAUSE THAT MAY BE A NEW FAVE GENRE FOR ME!!
oh god what if Australia wins

William S. Burroughs with the electrometer or "E-meter", a tool Scientologists use to help "audit" or detect traumatic subliminal memories or "engrams." With the aid of an auditor, the engrams of an initiate can be retrieved from memory, activated and encountered to "clear" deleterious reactions that the initiate may not even be consciously aware of. Burroughs reached the status of "Clear" in his practice of Scientology.
Photo by Charles Gatewood (from the US magazine RE / Search # 4/5 of 1982).
Burroughs attended the Advanced Org in Edinburgh, Scotland where he became Clear #1163 on June 15, 1968. "It feels marvelous," Burroughs told a British Scientology Magazine. "Things you've had all your life, things you think nothing can be done about, suddenly they're not there anymore."
He was on the brink of becoming an "Operating Thetan" when he was later expelled for questioning the tenets of the group, and its' intolerance to criticism or dissent.. He wrote about his experiences with L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetics philosophy in his book of essays and a short story "Ali's Smile: Naked Scientology", a collection published in 1973 by Expanded Media Editions.
"Some of the techniques are highly valuable and warrant further study and experimentation. The E Meter is a useful device ...On the other hand I am in flat disagreement with the organizational policy...All organizations create organizational necessities. It is precisely organizational necessities that have prevented Scientology from obtaining the serious consideration merited by the importance of Mr. Hubbard's discoveries. Scientologists are not prepared to accept intelligent and sometimes critical evaluation. They demand unquestioning acceptance."
~ William S. Burroughs, Los Angeles Free Press, March, 1970 — in East Grinstead, West Sussex.

i'll be the one to repost this because i like it too much
[Video description: A woman (Janine) stands in front of a man (Hamish) in a Scottish park.
Janine: Today, we came to [a public park] to see what the locals are saying about the new single, SNO.
Hamish plays the single, an electrometal song, on his phone, holding it out to the right. The camera pans right to several highland cows grazing in a field. They seem oblivious to the music. The camera pans back, and Hamish, Janine and the cameraperson burst into laughter. End description.]
