This is kind of the argument I’ve seen for “no dysphoria” (not my highlights) but imo it just sort of opens up the discussion of… what is transition supposed to do/mean. And dysphoria, for that matter… (https://jme.bmj.com/content/medethics/45/7/480.full.pdf for the paper)

i guess ive always thought of "gender euphoria" as being the exact same thing as "gender dysphoria", just interpreted differently. like when i catch myself in a mirror or look down at myself or feel something against my body, i might sometimes thing "god, i hate what my body is currently like" or "god, i would be so happy if my body were different". if dysphoria is like.. getting an electric shock, then euphoria is like you've been getting electric shocked this entire time and it stops for a second. you feel like you're experiencing something positive but it's just.. momentary relief from the negative you were already experiencing. maybe other ppl mean something different by it or have a different understanding, but that's the only way ive ever been able to conceptualise it.

oh btw did i tell y'all our buddy @electriccenturies came to vegas just to meet the gang and hang out with everyone and have a nice time but not even go to the festival? and then on the morning of day 2 before we headed out i talked her into coming with us and buying a ticket at box office bc day 2 never sold out anyway? and then we got there and it fucking HAD finally sold out the day before so she couldnt :( but the gods of love and fate and friendship and my chemical romance looked down upon her and said well we can't fucking have that. this woman deserves to see her mikey. so a couple of people who'd had a mix-up with their ticket buying and had ended up with a spare wristband gave her one. for free. right there.
