He tries not to look too annoyed that this happened. It isn't that he doesn't appreciate her care over him after he'd taken a more direct blow than he was used to from an electric lizalfo, it is the fact that he took the hit at all. The dark sky was barely lit by the moon, which was hidden by the dark, heavy clouds, dumping heavy gusts of rain on the world below. The wind howled loudly, carrying the rain with it and making the experience all the more extreme in itself, it was as if the forces of nature were determined to prevent us from advancing. 

All this chaos was experienced by our group of ten, somewhat distant at the moment, while we still had to deal with the horde of monsters that followed right behind us. Due to the darkness and the heavy rain, we had made a mistake, without seeing the monster camp a little further ahead of us, all we could do was try to create distance to gain some time and think of a decent strategy to deal with them. 

The group of lizalfos seemed more than determined to pursue us, without giving us any room to counterattack. Shit, if only I could firebend now. It was no surprise to the heroes that I had a “special” ability to control and produce fire, the firebending that I was so proud of, and my main form of defense, but it wouldn’t be very effective in heavy rain like now. 

The rain seemed to intensify as we advanced, out of the corner of my eye I could see the team aiming arrows at the monsters, I preferred to stay focused on the path in front of me, but from the sound that echoed I could assume that he had hit at least one. Good. The others were trying their best in this situation, looking for various creative ways to achieve some kind of success. 

I felt useless, incapable, too dependent on firebending. Of course I have some experience in hand-to-hand combat, with arrows or bladed weapons, but I almost never use them, after all, why would I do that when a few body movements were enough for me to fight my enemies? Well, now I understand. In the distance I could hear the sound of thunder echoing in the sky, making me shiver. 

The cold of the rain was starting to affect me, I felt my frozen body tremble and my teeth chatter as I continued to advance. A real nuisance. It was when I turned to see how far we had gotten from the group of monsters that I became careless, tripping over a tree root and hitting the ground without further ado. I acted on instinct, trying to get up as quickly as possible when I saw a particular lizalfo coming towards me, approaching at speed, I felt unbalanced, trying to defend myself without even thinking, as I would do with firebending, I closed my eyes in fear as I did, realizing that it would have no effect, but now it was too late to stop.  

The loud sound of thunder echoed in the sky and at the same moment I felt a tingling electricity pass through my entire body, I felt alive, as if my brain sent a high dose of adrenaline to my body. The sensation was different from anything I had ever experienced, it seemed crazy.  I opened my eyes just in time to see the effects of the movements, seeing the lightning strike the monster that was just a few meters away from me, leaving it stunned. 

Did I do that? 

It wasn’t too hard to associate the action with the lightningbending that I had witnessed only once in my life, a long time ago, but that I never thought I would be able to reproduce. I could feel my heart beating fast, my body heating up as I recovered from my shock. How ironic. 

I blinked a few times before realizing again that I was in a dangerous situation, running again to gain distance, now more confident, but still unsure if I would be able to reproduce what I had done. I noticed some looks of surprise and concern coming my way as I reached the rest of the group, but not everyone seemed to have noticed my little discovery. When I considered myself to be at a safe distance, I tried again, remembering how I felt in that moment of pure panic and adrenaline.   

Before I could realize it, my surroundings were being illuminated by the lightning I produced, redirected to the monsters who were suffering without being able to react due to the high voltage that was passing through, until they turned to dust. I felt my head hurt and my heart raced, maybe this was all a bit too much for me at the moment, but luckily for me, I was not alone. Several arrows came from behind me, hitting the remaining monsters, while some of the heroes took the opportunity to get closer and deliver the final blow with their swords, finishing off the rest of the monsters. 

All tired of the rush and adrenaline, we could finally breathe again. I threw myself on the ground, enjoying the feeling of relief that overcame me while a fit of laughter hit me, making me receive confused looks. Who would have thought, right? I managed to calm myself down while breathing heavily trying to calm myself down, the rain now seemed like a relief to my overheated body. 

— I didn’t know I could do that. – Sky’s voice reached me, making me look at him and smile, as confused as he was. 

— Yeah, I didn’t know either. 

— That was really cool! – Wind exclaimed, throwing himself next to me and making me laugh. The others seemed to agree with the brat, yeah, I thought it was really cool too. 

Everyone took advantage of this moment to relax a little and catch their breath, all very exhausted after a long day and a not-so-fun chase. The sound of thunder now seemed more like a victory song, making me feel, in a way, powerful. But not powerful enough to deal with the freezing rain, apparently, because all it took was a sneeze from me for na uproar to start among the men in the group, something between scolding me for getting caught in the rain and looking for a dry and safe place to spend the night, as quickly as possible.

Did you know, Lynels could do magic? I know you haven't played age of calamity (or at least I think that was you)

But that game has all of botw enemies, except supposedly stronger (it's a simpler fighting game, battle is both harder and easier at the same time) where instead of giving them Gold status in hard mode, they decided to buff the health bar and make them elementals. Like the Lizalfos.

Fire, ice, and lightning silver Lynels. Using both weapons and magic, it's terrifying.

There are also malice corrupted Lynels that are even stronger than the elementals.

This same principle of making stronger enemies also applies to other monsters, like Guardians.

Imagine if you had to fight lightning Guardians with even more health, defence, faster lasers, jumping and spin attacks.

Imagine malice guardians. (Or moblins that throw explosive barrels while flying wearing balloon harnesses, please look for a picture of that it's so funny)

Age of calamity is supposed to just be botw but before the calamity. Like this could have existed in canon.

It was a rainy morning in the Zora Domain, 7 o’clock to be exact. The rain battered alongside the icy pathways, the waves crashed below. The King, Dorephan, sat on his throne, concerned due to the noises heard outside the domain. The King has summoned some of his attendants and soldiers, including Link, the Hylian Champion. The King voiced his concerns to the group, saying that the noises sound like an attack on the kingdom; possibly Vah Ruta and guardians back under Ganon’s control. Link volunteers to go inspect the area outside the domain, in Upland Zorana. Sidon burst through the archway.

Father! What horrible news! I have heard that Ganon is possibly attacking the kingdom again! It is preposterous! Let me know what I can do to protect the kingdom!,” the shark smiles, winking and flexing his bicep, his signature look. “My son. Perhaps you can swim down the river, and see what is in the Lananryu Wetlands, closer to Central Hyrule, near the entrance to our domain,” the King suggests. “Of course,” Sidon agrees, and bids a goodbye to Link, whom he did have relations with. Sidon would never admit due to his pride, that he had a soft spot for Hylians. They were so tiny, so soft. The opposite of him. Link was his best friend, and sometimes lover. He growled, jumping onto the bridge, facing the moblins, and took a few of them out swiftly, using his muscles and sharp teeth.

After throwing the last moblin down into the waterfall, Sidon comes closer to inspect the Hylain, to see if they were okay. A sickeningly sweet smell has hit him. He crouched down, taking a closer look. A very small Hylian woman, laying on the bridge, gravely wounded. Her blood, her body, smelled so good to him… could it be? An omega?

He stops his dirty mind from trampling him, and gently picks up the Hylian. Placing her in his arms, he swims up the river as fast as he could, eager to get her into the domain, so she could be properly healed and taken care of.

Something full of anger lit up in his gut at just the thought of you getting hurt. He had no reason to get so livid at even a scratch on your form, but for some reason it had him snarling to himself, as if daring the universe to test him.

He wouldn't put it past Hylia at this point, that vengeful bitch.

He held out his weapon towards you, the Lynel horn glinting in the light as it prodded against your neck. You vulnerable and fragile little neck. You looked like you were about to cry at the action.

Unrelated, he pulled back just a bit. His snarl remained just the same. "Who are you?" He barked, daring you to avoid his question. Your...device was discarded at your side, which you quickly grappled onto as some form of protection. He'd have to remain weary of that. If it was anything like his Purah pad, it would be of an annoyance. Especially if you were a Yiga. They were able to replicate the Thunder Helm for Din's sake. (That was a mess and a half to retrieve.)

You swallowed hard, wincing away from him before fighting the urge to look up at him. His heart stuttered at the positively broken look you showed. You were so scared and so frightened.

He was supposed to be a hero.

(A part of him argued that he was the hero. Had been the hero. And look where it got him? Right back at the start. Fighting for his life once more. Fighting for someone who wouldn't do the same for him. Fighting for a Goddess who only used him as a pawn only to discard him when he was done.)

There was no way you were Yiga. You couldn't have been. None of them would've ever looked up at him like that. Nor could you have been a puppet of Ganon. Puppets and Yiga would burst out into an offensive attack the second they caught sight of him.

You didn't pose a threat.

But that didn't clear your name. "I asked you a question. I expect an answer." He allowed ultrahand to light up Rauru's arm in a warning red.

You blinked before shakily swallowing, holding your device to your chest. "...Y/N."

So that was your name. It was a nice name. Suited your features well and rolled off the tongue. Each syllable seemed built for your very being. He repeated it, using the tip of his weapon to tilt your chin up to face him again. That same, Goddess damned, look was sprawled on your features as he looked over you. You didn't seem injured outside of a bandaged wrap around your lower neck and left shoulder.

You had been hurt. Perhaps it was under that Wild's watch, whoever they were. They were unfit to care for you it seemed. He would happily take over if it meant you didn't get hurt any longer.

"You're...Link, right?"

He blinked, weapon staggering for a second. How did you know who he was? No one knew who he was anymore. Not without that wretched Zelda beside him, giving him a title he felt disgraced his very being. The swordsman. it was all Mineru called him and it burned something bitter in him.

He pushed the weapon further against your skin, watching it turn a harsh red before flashing to white. "What's it to you?" His teeth were bared as you tried to pull away, if only to breath just a little. He didn't let you. While it made his gut rot and knot at the thought of hurting you, he couldn't risk his own life. Not when he had a duty, Not when he had a vengeance. A vendetta.

"I can explain!" You hurriedly called, making him pull back once again.

"I would do so quickly."

You shook in your spot as your showed him the device. It seemed to have a selection of boxes, each holding a different picture. The one you hovered over read something in a language he couldn't read, but there was a picture of him. Right there. This was your explanation? It was pitiful. He almost did away with you, if only to move on, but you spoke before he could.

"You're Link. The wielder of the Master Sword. I- I'm from some other world. I, along with a group of others, are travelling to fight a dark magic that has been effecting many Hyrules across time. It's evidently effected yours." You gestured to the log, which now had an inky puddle beneath it. "We're here to help."

He pulled the weapon away, but didn't raise his glare from your form. "I don't need help."

"I never said you did." You let out a sigh full of relief. "But sometimes having someone watch your back is nice. I know you haven't had that person for you, which breaks my heart. This adventure is your second, third if we count...Ya'know..." You trailed off as his eyes narrowed. Were you talking about the Calamity? The Calamity he fell to? "You haven't had help, which I can only imagine as exhausting."

You were speaking nonsense. Nonsense that made him bubble with understanding of a sort. It was a clumsy attempt, but you were trying to offer support to him. Support he had never had previously.

He could kick his past (Three minutes ago) self for ever dreaming of hurting you, even if it was for his own personal safety. The thought of having someone offer just a tad bit of help to his battered and broken from, riddled with gloom, had him feeling a bit lighter.

He wouldn't trust you right away, he had gotten burned one too many times from doing that, but he would get you to a stable. Ensure you were safe from infection and whatever else before he made a decision regarding you and him in any sort of capacity.

Maybe take you to your group if only to see if those filth were worthy of your presence.

He would ensure you were safe in his, nevertheless. If he had to do away with the others, then so be it.

If he wanted to keep something, he would need to cling to it.

And this was just the start of his grip on you. Whether you knew it yet, or not.

Okay so uh, I know that the post I'm gonna reference is more than a year old, but I just discovered your blog and I went on a binge and, well...

The Dragon Au Part 2? The one with Sky (along with the other boys, but I'm focusing on Sky)? Where you said that Sky would probably never tell his S/O about him being a dragon despite the trust he has in his S/O?

It's just...so sad! 😭 So, if I may, could I request a fic where Reader (who is, or wants to be, Sky's S/O) finds out that Sky's a dragon?

Maybe he accidentally shifted during battle, or maybe one of the other Links accidentally let slip that all of the Chain (and, therefore, Sky) are dragons? I'm not quite sure about how Reader would find out, but they do; cue them crying to another Link (probably Time, bc he's The Dad™) or even Sun, and Reader admits that they feel like they're a terrible person bc surely they did something to make Sky not trust them, right...? And Reader asks for advice on what they can do to make up for whatever Bad Thing they did, and how to be a better friend to Sky, etc. etc.

I don't like angst if it doesn't have a happy ending, so idk how to end it on a happy note; maybe Sky talks to Reader about it all & they "kiss & make up" (either figuratively or literally lol)?

IVE BEEN WANTING TO WRITE THIS EVER SINCE I TOLD PINKY ABOUT IT.

Typically you were stay away from battles if anything you were learning how to fight. In this battle though your back was towards a cliff and the monsters were blocking your way into the forest which is where you normally hide. Well… This was a particularly bad situation to be in. You duck and tried to weave through but each time you tried to you almost get hit. Luckily Sky was staying by your side for a bit to fight the monsters off. Though the chain was truly outnumbered.

Not to be a downer but you think they might need a miracle.

Then it happened.

A Lizalfos got a fairly lucky shot at you right in the shoulder. The impact knocked you back off your feet and stumble back.

Right.

Off.

The cliff.

It was weird. You didn’t scream. But something did. It was loud and it felt like the air was full of electricity. In a blink of an eye a black plop swooped down heading towards you. When the blur finally crashes into you whatever it was brought you into its arms and pulled up. “Keep your eyes close.” You hear Sky whisper in your ear, you didn’t even know that your eyes had been closed the whole time. It’s not like you’re going to open them now. Especially with a warning like that.

There was a lot of screaming not just from the boys but monsters as well. A few crashes of lightning made you flinch and hold onto Sky tighter. Slowly your curiosity had peaked and you open your eyes and glanced up at Sky.

Sky who was typically the softest person in the world looked monstrous. His eyes were sharper more snake like and Night Sky-esque scales framed his features. Giving his once soft face a fiercer look to it. It could also be the death glare he had on his face. Behind him were two bat like wings and long serpents tail that matched his scales. It would have been breathtaking if you weren’t loosing blood.

Your glaze was met with his now electric blue eyes, “put me down?” You asked as you had to force yourself to look at the others but as soon as you moved the arrow that was lodged into your shoulder made its move. A curses leave your mouth as you slump back in his arms.

Sky was about to speak but Hyrule beat him, “We should find and get camp set up. For now Let me see what I can do.” The team’s medic was in charge now as the battle had been over for a bit now. “Rancher, Champion can you scout out a better, safer place?” He leads Sky with you in his arms to be seated. When settled with you in Sky’s lap and Hyrule helping you through the process of being stitched up.

You had so many questions to ask but you honestly doubt you would get answers too. “I have a question.”

“Yes Darling?” Sky’s voice was a bit more gravely than normal.

“Are you guys…” You had not idea what to say about this situation as you would assume dragons.

“Yes.” Time said before you could find the words.

A beat passes you look up at the token father, “all-“

“All of us yes.”

“Ok…” You lean into Sky’s chest. Before something bothers you again, looking up at Time again you go to ask him something.

He just sighs “yes. I’ll explain later about how our magic work. Just focus on healing.”

Given that Riju’s diary is full of her worries about Link and Zelda’s safety in particular, I have come to the conclusion that those two have become like surrogate older siblings for her, a concept which fills me with much glee and many headcanons. For example:

Zelda knows firsthand the pressures of being a leader, and often comforts and guides Riju through her own insecurities. 

Link trains Riju in the art of combat. And also how to sneak into/out of town without Buliara noticing.

Riju teaches them how to sand seal-surf like pros.

The three of them form their own little archeological investigation team; Riju’s the one who knows where all the interesting ruins are, and how to navigate the desert. Zelda is the one who studies said ruins. And Link is the security detail/team cook. 

Riju and Zelda have Girl Talk and gossip while braiding Patricia’s mane. Meanwhile, Patricia and Link stuff themselves full of fresh fruit. 

On a related note, Link is Patricia’s second-favorite person after Riju because he’s the one who will sneak her extra fruit between mealtimes. Zelda is more than a little jealous. 

Link used to sometimes carry Riju on his back, but now that she’s taller than him, their roles have been reversed. 

The three of them hope to set an unbeatable world record for how many times in a row they can successfully sneak a voe (Link) into the Hotel Oasis spa. 

Their favorite pastime is jewelry-shopping. Zelda and Riju tease Link for always choosing accessories that offer an advantage in combat. The man simply refuses to look pretty without purpose. 

One time they were ambushed by a pack of Electric Lizalfos, and Link took a shock for Zelda that would have killed her otherwise. She and Riju no longer tease him about his “boring and plain” Topaz Earrings. 

Riju teaches Link Gerudo cuss words behind Zelda’s back.

Chapter Seven — Zora’s Domain

The red guy was weird.

You'd seen Zoras before— in books since the Gerudo Desert was too hot for them to traverse. You guessed that they'd be similar to what you'd read, but nothing compared to seeing the large, brightly colored shark-man in the water below the bridge.

He spoke with an accent, something you'd assumed was typical for Zora's Domain. It was soothing, but the velvetyness of his voice did little to ease your startle every time he randomly appeared.

Sidon, you learned his name was, also spoke with an energized vigor when he learned that you were headed towards the Domain. This excitement grew tenfold when Link expressed his desire to tame the Divine Beast, and Sidon sent you on your merry way. Your merry way to trek the perilous trail that led to the Kingdom. Fun.

"Couldn't he have like, I don't know, given us a boat?" You wiped water from out of your eyes for what felt like the hundredth time. It didn't help, as the torrential, never-ending rain just blocked your vision more.

"I don't think that would've worked with the waterfalls going upwards." Link was slightly snippy, but you couldn't blame him.

"A ride on his back, perhaps? He is roughly the size of a horse."

Link snorted. "Maybe it's to make us prove ourselves. I've had to do that constantly since I've been awake. In any case—"

Link was cut off abruptly as he ran into your back. He was ready to curse you out but quickly dismissed the thought when he noticed your hand on the hilt of your Demon Carver. At this point, he trusted your cautiousness. He gazed ahead, over your shoulder, to see a small camp with a freshly dampened fire.

"Lizalfos." You whispered, hoping that the monsters wouldn't hear. They were too busy sharpening their spears— incredibly ominous, in your opinion.

"Remember what Sidon said." Link whispered behind you, pulling out his bow. "These Lizalfos are probably electric, and that'll hurt us if we get shocked. Especially with all of this water."

You nodded. There were about 5 Lizalfos in total, all in their own worlds as they milled about their little makeshift camp. You scanned the area, a quick plan coming to mind and you motioned for Link to follow you.

The Lizalfos had yet to notice you as you scaled to the top of a boulder nearby, out of reach. You grabbed your own bow and barely took any time to aim before nailing one of the Lizalfos between the eyes. It collapsed in a cloud of dust and weird, mismatched body parts and you bit your tongue to keep from cringing. Gross.

The Lizalfos took little time to recover before grabbing their own weapons and congregating at the bottom of the boulder. Link joined in the fight, sending his own arrows flying into the Lizalfos and before you knew it you had taken out the camp.

You cheered a bit and jumped down, walking closer to inspect the camp. The weapons left lying around were subpar and probably wouldn't do shit to help fight, so you ignored them and focused on the roasted trout that were speared in front of the fire.

The small, makeshift tent covered them for the most part— obviously, they'd been roasted earlier and stored there to keep dry out of the rain.

Your mouth all but watered at the sight, and you moved closer to grab them. Before you got to them, however, Link's voice rang out from behind you.

"Look out!"

You whipped around to see the enemy, but you were suddenly blinded by bright light and an excruciating pain through your body. Your muscles cramped up and you collapsed, too weak to hold yourself up as you felt yourself uncontrollably seize.

Then, black.

"—pretty bad. She'll probably be here for a while—"

The ringing in your head was too much to bear. Paired with the hushed voices near you, the pain was enough to make you nauseous and you groaned out in an attempt to make them stop.

You were lucky— they did for a second.

"How are you feeling?"

Nevermind.

The voice was female— definitely not Link. It was soft and gentle as if whoever it belonged to knew that you were struggling. You could only manage a small huff of air. That would have to suffice as your answer.

"Y/N?" It was Link this time. "You need anything?"

"To be euthanized." Your throat muscles hurt. Guess that's what happens when you get electrocuted.

"Not gonna happen." He huffed out a small laugh through his nose, but you could tell he was still a bit too worried to relax even with your eyes closed. "You would be proud of me, I carried you and all your junk all the way to the Domain."

"You're the hero of Hyrule, that's your job." That earned an actual laugh. "I'm not heavy and neither is my junk. You're just dramatic."

"You seem like the dramatic one here."

"Yeah? You try getting shot and electrocuted at the same time and tell me how it goes." You cracked one eye open and moved to sit up, wincing at the absolute agony that your muscles were in.

Thousands of volts did go through them, so you couldn't necessarily blame your limbs for needing a break.

Link was quick at your side, adjusting the pillow behind you and moving the blankets to still be covering your lap. He handed you a glass of water that sat on the bedside table and you slowly sipped, feeling at least a bit of your headache go away. Enough for you to finally look around, at least.

You were in Zora's Domain, in one of the beds at the inn. It was a shame you didn't get to experience its beauty with Link, but you were sure you'd have other opportunities. You were grateful for his help— normally, you wouldn't have just relaxed after waking up in an unfamiliar place. But with Link there, you knew you were safe. The thought made your cheeks burn and your muscles clench again and— ow.

Why was your thigh hurting so badly?

You moved the blanket away and saw your right thigh covered in bandages, a sizable spot of obvious blood seeping through the side. Ah.

"It was hard to get out," The gentle-voiced Zora noticed you looking, "You got the worst combination in history. Shot with an arrow, electrocuted, and having that electricity amplified by all the rain we've been having. Goddess, you're lucky to only come out with this and a few burns."

Link nodded. "It was, uh, hard to watch. I couldn't help you until all the electricity was gone or else I'd get shocked too. I just had to sit there and wait for a minute."

"I'm sorry." You hadn't taken your eyes off of the bandages. It was hard not to beat yourself up for letting your guard down so much. You'd promised Link you could care for yourself. Hell, you were literally raised better than that. It definitely put a damper on the old confidence.

Link also looked down at your leg and you felt your chest tighten. You wanted to pull up the blankets to cover the obvious bloodstain. The more you looked, the more you saw burnt areas along your leg and going up to your hip, beneath your pants. They were bad, but obviously not bad enough to have to cover to the extent that the arrow wound was. You subtly tugged at the blanket and Link noticed. 

"Cold?"

"Uh, yeah. A little." 

Link looked around the area for another blanket, but couldn't find one that wasn't already being used by another occupant of the inn. He moved to the other side of the bed and sat down beside you, shimmying under the blankets instead. You tried not to let your embarrassment show. 

"Maybe this will work." He gave you a tight smile, "At least for now, until the Innkeeper's wife gets back with some more medicines for you. I just didn't want to get on your injured side.”

"Don't mention it," You let out a dry laugh, "Guess I can't even argue with you about coming along to the Divine Beast now, huh?"

"As if I was going to let you in the first place. You can handle yourself, I know, but I'd rather you not risk death."

"And you think I want you to?" You shoved Link's shoulder and huffed. "The only reason I'm letting you do it is for the fate of Hyrule. Any other time, I'd be so mad that you insist on throwing away your life."

"Letting me do it? Sounds like you just can't stand being away from me." He teased. 

"More like I just can't stand you." You tried to hide the flush that came to the tips of your ears, "If you get injured, all I'm gonna do is hear you complain."

"I could say the same about you.”

"I haven't said shit, and I just almost died!"

"And you're not allowed to do it again--" 

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything." 

Sidon and the innkeeper's wife, Kodah, enter the inn, both carrying medical supplies and potions. Sidon tilts his head at Link sitting next to me, but Kodah just smiles and sets the supplies on the bedside table. She kneels beside the bed and peels the blankets back, and you look away. You don't necessarily want to see the injury-- it would just make you feel even more incompetent. Instead, you focus on Sidon. 

"Link, my father would like to speak with you before you head to tame Vah Ruta." He turns to you, "and I know Kodah here will take wonderful care of you while you wait for your dear Link."

Link nods and faces you as well, a grin on his face. "I'll come by one more time before I go, but until then don't get into any trouble!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." You shoo him away, immediately noticing a difference when his warmth disappears from under the blanket. You're nervous for him.

Vaie would talk about the importance of music throughout Hyrule's history. Like the warp songs and Zelda's lullaby in the era of the hero of time, the ballad of the goddess used to unlock the final trial for the hero of the sky, and all the others. She'd give a practical demonstration of the Song of Storms probably. When the Zora gets brought up she'd probably go on a tangent about them too, they're her favourite tribe in hyrule.

Trari would, obviously, talk about history. I think specifically Gerudo history, because I think that it would have been quite overlooked by historians up to this point due to... The past conflicts between them and the royal family, a lot of things were covered up. I think the records would only go back to the era of King Rauru, but Trari has her suspicions about just how old the world is (she'd lose her mind if she learned of the Depths, I genuinely headcanon they are the remains of old hyrule before the flood. Timelines be damned) Halfway though she'd go on a tangent about why she should be allowed to spend all her monarchy-given funds on Gerudo jewellery because "it has historical importance".

Teo would use his hour to talking about monsters, so many monsters. Bokos, moblins, lizalfos, lynels... and wizzrobes, oh my god so much about wizzrobes, he'd bore everyone to tears with talk about wizzrobes. Anyway monsters are his second favourite interest besides magic, and they tend to go hand in hand sometimes. The main part of his speech would be about elemental monsters and "where did they come from?" what caused them to take on fire or ice or electric energy?" There's so many questions and he wants answers. Sprinkle in some complaints about his wife questioning his life choices and I think that's everything really.

(He'd lose his shit if he lived long enough to see a gleeok, just saying, but sadly for him I don't think in the original timeline that would ever happen)

Gibdo Headcanons Because They’re Neat

● They’re not a new species by any means, having lived in The Depths under Gerudo for a very long time. Sightings of them above ground before The Upheaval where incredibly rare, and often chocked up to the heat of the desert playing with someone’s vision. They’re a native species to The Depths, much like how the Frox are.

● They’re a solitary species, preferring to stay with their own kind as opposed to other monsters. Prior to The Upheaval, they were oddly docile as well, leaving the Gerudo alone for the most part and only being directly aggressive if their hive was in danger.

● Their change in behavior is mostly a result of their Queen being infected with Gloom, making them far more aggressive. They’re seemingly intelligent enough to show some form of anger following her death, which is why they are still highly aggressive.

● Gibdos are generally sent out of their Hive to hunt in hordes led by a Moth Gibdo when they aren’t at their Hive. Moth Gibdos also guard the outside of the Hive as well.

● Rely on sheer numbers and their incredible durability to hunt prey, preferring to swarm prey en masse and tear them apart.

● Following The Upheaval, their tactics are much the same, but they have also begun making use of their corpse-like appearance as a way to perform ambushes.

● They begin lives as larva roughly the length of an arm, before rapidly developing into their adult forms over the course of several days.

● Despite the typical Gibdo being an adult, some have been shown to metamorphose into Moth Gibdos. The Queen plays a role in this process, wrapping certain female Gibdos in silk and leaving them be for a few days. During this process, the Gibdo eats its way out of its silk bindings. This silk is believed to be rich in nutrients, which stimulate the Gibdo’s body into producing wings. As a result, Moth Gibdos are always female, while the wingless ones are predominantly male.

● A new Queen is created similarly to how bees create a new queen. The Queen creates and stores a potent chemical compound, and when she is killed, her Hive feeds this compound to a Moth Gibdo. The compound causes a massive growth in size and heavily alters the body.

● Their “ribs” are actually a set of vestigial legs, which are rather useless. However, when a Moth Gibdo is turned into a Queen, these ribs develop into two extra sets of limbs.

● Their incredibly tough exoskeletons have developed as a result of how inhospitable The Depths are, with their exoskeletons protecting them from being hurt too badly by the incredibly vicious sandstorms that occasionally occur down there. In addition, larger Frox occasionally prey on Gibdo, and as such Gibdo have also developed their exoskeletons to make it far more difficult for Frox to eat them.

● However, due to their exoskeletons developing to protect against physical attacks, attacks that are more magical in nature can destroy their exoskeletons. While this isn’t guaranteed to kill the Gibdo and they can grow back their exoskeletons rather quickly, it leaves them vulnerable to more conventional attacks.

● Their diets have made their Guts a very powerful compound when used in elixirs, making them exponentially more powerful. Because of this, they’re hunted quite frequently following their discovery.

● While they prefer to hunt living creatures, they will scavenge if necessary.

● Despite having biological sexes (studies on Gibdos compared to Moth Gibdos have shown they do in fact have genders), the Queen is the only one capable of reproducing, and even then it’s done through self-fertilization.

● When they are on the surface, Molduga tend to ignore them, as their low weight makes it nearly impossible to detect their vibrations and they’re generally very quiet when not hunting.

● While they generally ignore other monsters, they avoid Fire-Breath and Electric Lizalfos and Electric Chuchus due to the risk they pose to their exoskeletons.

● Ironically, despite the adults preying on them, Gibdos seem to prefer Little Frox as food.

● They seem to be neutral towards the Yiga, as they never go out of their way to attack them even if they enter their territory.

● Their level of intelligence is hard to pin down, as while they don’t use weapons like Bokoblins, Moblins, and Lizalfos, they’re intelligent enough to use their physical appearance to try and perform ambushes and seem at least somewhat aware of their weakness to elements. Queens in particular have been shown to try and cover these weaknesses by using their wings to beat up sand into the air to extinguish flames and ground electricity. While it’s debatable how intelligent they are compared to Moblins, Bokoblins, and especially Lizalfos, they’re obviously more intelligent than more animalistic monsters like Keese and Chuchu.

Hi tumblr, this is a complete list of every ingredient you need (minus rupees) to upgrade all armor pieces in Tears of the Kingdom to full. I saw them in lists per set/item, but that didn't scratch my "run around collecting all the things efficiently then upgrade everything all at once" AuDHD gamer itch so I did it myself.
