"Then let's be lost together"
Leon x Trainer! Reader
--------------------------------------------------------------
Warnings: none!
--------------------------------------------------------------
"(Pokemon), return!"
You called back your partner as the wind and the rain continued to blow, not wanting to danger your partner in this weather. You tried to shield your eyes as you looked around to see where you were.
"I can't see anything..." You huffed and pulled out your rotom phone noticing it was low on battery, "can't even call for a taxi either."
You then put your phone away and trudged to an abandoned tower to get some cover from the weather. As you sat your stuff down in the dark room you sighed in relief and turned your flashlight on.
"At this rate, I'll be late to the tournament." You huffed in disappointment and sat down against a wall with your knees to your chest.
Some faint noises could be heard in the background, choosing to ignore it you called out your (electric type Pokemon of your choice!) and asked if they could lend their power to charge your phone.
You looked around in the dark, damp place and sighed again. You looked back at your Pokemon and they looked uneasy and were in a defensive stance.
"What is it?" you asked and looked in the direction your Pokemon was looking at. Your eyes widened when you saw a Pokemon emerge from a shadow. It was a wild Dusclops!
"Okay ready to fight (Pokemon name)? Oh wait you still have my phone in your mouth... Let's go!" You decided to bolt with your Pokemon closely behind you.
You managed to get far enough away from the tower and back in the pouring rain. "Great..."
"Heyy!!" A loud voice called from above you. You looked up and saw an outline of a Charizard with someone on top. "Hey! Are you lost?"
That's weird, flying taxis usually use Corviknights...
The Charizard and the man landed in front of you and your vision cleared....It was Champion Leon! The one you were dreaming of going up against if you weren't caught in this bloody rain...
Your eyes widened as you saw him jump off Charizard and walk up to you, towering over you.
"Sorry to startle you, I got lost trying to make my way to Wyndon. Then this storm kicked up, losing my way even more," he said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.
You gotta admit, he looked delicious like this. All drenched, his clothes clinging to his body showing the outline of his muscles and- I'mma stop there.
"Uh yeah, same. I was also headed to Wyndon until I got caught in the rain," you said to him.
"So you're in the same boat I'm in! Haha, what a coincidence!" he laughed. "How about we set up camp together? I may not look like it but I can cook a pretty mean curry."
You smiled at him and approved as you both sat your stuff down and set up a campsite. You shared your ingredients but he opted to use whipped cream, sweet pecha berries, and...sausages?
"Um, are you sure that's going to be good?"
"Trust me," he replied, concentrating on making his curry. You shrugged and let your pokemon out so they could recharge.
Time passes as you're cracking jokes with Leon and talking and getting to know each other. He finally finishes his rancid curry and gives you a plate to have a try.
You looked at the plate that stood in your hands suspiciously. It was bubbling and gurgling.
"eat up! I promise it's as good as it looks," he says with a mouthful.
You looked at him and back at your plate and decide to lick the tip of the spoon. To much surprise it was pretty good. Your pokemon seemed to enjoy it judging from the food around their mouths.
As your two finish up dinner, you notice the rain stopped but it was dark outside. Leon was gathering up the dirty dishes while you were getting your phone to work again after having a little water damage and a bite mark from your Pokemon.
"Hey, how about we get some sleep and tomorrow morning we can travel to Wyndon together?" Leon suggests.
"Sounds like a plan, hopefully we don't get lost," you joked.
"If we did, let's get lost together"

Wolf Spider (Finale)
Sam Carpenter x Spider-Man!Reader
It wasn’t supposed to go like this. Venom wasn’t supposed to have bonded with Detective Bailey. Sam wasn’t supposed to arrive in the middle of your battle at the clock tower. And you weren’t supposed to have your entire base of operations be going up in flames like this. But life, like it does to so many spider-folk, loves to throw you a series of curveballs.
Ghost-Venom, your little name for the abomination currently in front of you and Sam, roars before forming a giant curve blade with one of its arms.
“I’m gonna spill both of your innards all over New York,” Bailey speaks through the symbiote.
“I believe him. ” you shout as you grab Sam and jump out the nearest window. The monster’s arm blade narrowly misses you as you do so.
“Run run run little spiders” the creature growls as it too takes to the open air, swinging after you.
“Bailey’s got your powers now?!” Sam screams.
“The symbiotic copies abilities” you explain as you swing through the city. “We have to lure him somewhere”
“What stop him?”
“Sound or fire”
“What about-?” Samtries to ask as you’re suddenly smacked in the back by the creature, knocking you right into the heart of Times Square. You shield your girlfriend as you smack into the cold hard pavement. Sam rolls out of your arms and over a couple feet. She tries to pull herself to her feet.
“What is it with my battles and always ending up here?” you wince from the impact.
Ghost-Venom lands with a mighty crash on the street in front of you, “You took my family from me. I’m simply returning the favor”
He grabs a taxi cab and flings it at you. Thinking quick, you spin a web, entrapping the vehicle. It does nothing to stop Ghost-Venom from crashing straight through it and backhanding you right into the Times Square jumbotron. Bolts of electricity surge through your body, electrocuting you. Screams of pain erupt from your very core. And then all of a sudden it stops. The electricity begins coursing somewhere else.
You turn to see Chad, clad in a makeshift black track suit and one of your abandoned masks. He’s sticking to the side of the jumbotron and absorbing all the electricity.
“Surprised? So am I” he smirks from under the mask. You hand him one of your web shooters. He clasps it onto his wrists, “Crash course?”
“Point and shoot with your middle and ring fingers…”
“Let’s protect our girls!” The two of you swing down and kick Ghost-Venom square in the chest. Tara speeds in on a motorcycle and unloads a shotgun right into the creature.
“Tara?” Sam asks in amazement as her younger sister pulls her to her feet. Tara hands her a gun as the two take to firing off shots.
You and Chad work in tandem to weaken the creature.
“How are we gonna stop him? There’s no fire around here?!” Chad asks as Ghost-Venom flings him across the area.
The sound of a revving guitar solo catches your ear. You can’t help but smirk, “but we got sound.”
BOOM! The sound of a rocking guitar explodes in a shockwave, knocking Ghost-Venom flat on his chest as Hobie rocks out from behind.
“Sorry I’m late, bruv” Hobie smiles as he raises his amp’s volume to eleven. Ghost Venom shrieks in pain as does Bailey.
An idea forms in your brain, “Chad! Use your electricity to turn all of Times Square-”
“Into a giant amp” Chad smiles as he swings off and combines his new ‘venom bite’ as he later calls it, with all of the speakers and screens around Times Square.
Seeing a couple construction pipes, you work to slam several of them into the ground around Ghost-Venom, locking the monster in place. Sam and Tara fire off several shotgun blasts keeping the creature in its cage.
“Hobie!” you shout, “turn it up!”
Hobie smiles as he plays the loudest guitar solo he’s ever played. All of Times Square short circuits, sparks fly, Venom cowers and slowly rips away from Bailey. The detective screams in pain from the forcible extraction.
Chad swings in, fully charged and zaps the cage with an untold amount of electricity. The combination of sound and light ignites the symbiote and Detective Bailey’s legs.
You web a line and pull Bailey out of the cage. Venom screams and shrieks as every last shred of the creature is finally burned away.
Bailey looks up to see you, Sam, Tara, Chad, and Hobie staring down at him
“You’re in some real deep trap, mate” Hobie chuckles as he webs up Bailey.
“Trap?” Chad asks
“It’s a slang for-never mind” you wave it off.
It’s been a couple months since then.
Bailey was arrested, Quinn testified against him and acted as a key witness.
Anika was released from the hospital and is now enjoying every day with Mindy.
Gale was also released from the ICU and is currently writing from eyewitness accounts about the battle in Times Square. She’s got quite the bestseller on her hands.
Chad and Tara have been taking it slow. Mostly because Chads been busy training with you as the Electric Spider. The names still a work in progress.
And now that brings you to your relationship with Sam. The two of you have found a nice little studio apartment which doubles as the new Web. You still miss your old one but hey now you can spend as much time as you want with your girl.
Sam frets at the kitchen counter, pacing back and forth nervously.
“What’s wrong?” you ask with a little smirk
“My über won’t be here on time to take me to work”
“I can take you”
The offer was really tempting for Sam, “really?” She bites her lip mischievously.
“I have a patrol that way anyway” you shrug nonchalantly.
You open up the window overlooking New York and gesture to it.
Next thing Sam knew, you and her were swinging through the open air. Sam was shouting with the delight all the way to her new job.
Sam Carpenter was the woman you’d live for, die for, and overall, to be this universe’s Spider-Man was truly something…amazing.
The End

My Words: test, like, losing, blue
Your Words: fly, fast, groan, fever
Test - From "Which Side of The Wall Really Suffers That Cost?"
Oleg, if the suspicions were substantiated, was the last person Illya wanted to speak to. But had the lack of a pick-up been a test? Was his handler expecting him to call? To point out this obvious error in protocol? Or would calling in the error prove that Illya was aware of their suspicions and therefore guilty of them? Would Oleg expect him to phone a taxi instead? Would he be risking more by not bringing it up? Gaby would know. Her voice of reason would cut through the fog of his fear, anger, even ego, like a hot knife through butter. It would come in the form of a jab or bitter remark, or a snapped curse if he and Solo were the source of the tension. But she would be the source of the obvious answer they were too wrapped up in each other to see. That stabbing pain of longing tore through him again. Illya didn't know it was possible to miss people this much.
Like - From "Honey, I'm Taking No Orders"
With a sigh, Solo tugs up on the fabric of his slacks and crouches in front of him, close enough to feel the heat of his panting breath, sour with terror. “What did they do to you, Kuryakin?” The wolf's breath hitches at the name and his eyes flash with something that smells like recognition, if he had to guess. It is a little difficult to discern anything other than fear. Solo gets the sense that the wolf hasn't been called by his name in this form for a long while. He reaches out slowly with the back of his hand, and Kuryakin snaps his jaws at him. Solo isn't dissuaded, just keeps his hand in reach of the wolf's face. His huge ears, pinned flat against his head, twitch ever so slightly, and the snarling calms to that low growl again. Lips still pulled back, he inches his face closer to Solo hand. Just before the metal basket muzzle makes contact with his fingers, the air-locked door slams open and a dozen boots sprint down the hallway.
Losing - From "Scorching Out Thine Sovereignty"
“I am not letting go until you lay down,” Illya states with a glance back at Rudi, still trying to wriggle free. “If you lose consciousness I will not carry you.” “Who said anything about ‘losing consciousness’?” “The electricity that has been frying your brain for last hour,” Illya nods down at where Solo's right hand still has a vice grip on his arm, “Or are you doing this on purpose?”
Blue - From "Flufftober Day 20: Paw"
Sobered by the shock, Solo helped Illya clean up the raggedy little creatures, and cooked a pan of ground sausage to feed them until they could buy kibble. The gray pup was a perfect gentleman, and the black one demanded that Illya stay at her side while she ate. The white pup, whose blue eyes made the gears in Solo's head start to turn, needed to be spoon-fed. “He's blind,” Solo mused, easing the pup's muzzle towards the spoon. “How can you know?” “He can't find the food.”

Rant about your favorite insects and why you like them
Tag someone so I can invade their ask box
@strwbrryluvsick might like an ask!
I typed out. Paragraphs unto paragraphs unto paragraps. And it got deleted. Hsisbsjdbs so much pain
For the sake of my mental health I'll keep to a handful of bullet points, if that's fine!!
Ants
Dracula ants
- often nearly or completely blind
- endemic to Madagascar
- fastest recorded movement in the animal kingdom!! At 90 meters per second/200mph, which they reach in just 0.00015 seconds!
- they don't eat any food! They hunt and feed their larvae and pupae, whose blood (haemolymph) they then drink
Trapjaw ants (my absolute favs)
- they look like they have a beartrap on their face!! :3
- this jaw, when triggered by a super sensitive hair on their face, snaps shut at 63 meters per second, 170-ish mph - second fastest movement in the animal kingdom
- they can use their jaw against heavier objects/surfaces as to launch themselves!! Leap large distances and such!!
- in the same way, their jaws also act as catapults! They can shoot intruders out of their nests!!
- their larvae are spiked, stick to walls, and are very active and agressive
Wasps
Mud dauber
- they're very pretty! Look at em!! So dainty
- build their nests out of mud and dirt
- and since they are parasitic wasps... they paralyse their prey and drag it into their nest. Where they then lay their eggs inside of the nest or inside of the paralysed but still alive prey, and then sealing the nest closed
- reported/speculated to have caused mutliple deadly airplane accidents
Tarantula hawks
- look at that colour scheme! Beautiful!!
- also a parasitic wasp. But their prey are tarantulas.
- in Fallout New Vegas. One of the multiple reasons I got into insects. They're traumatising in that game, though.
- one of the most painful stings of any insect, descibed as "Blinding, fierce and shockingly electric"
Velvet ant (aka cowkiller)
- doesn't have the venom to kill a cow. Obviously. (venom less toxic than that of honeybees.) But the sting is so painful that people thought that it was. Which is super cool and funny
- also dubbed 'the indestructible insect' due to their plethora of defense mechanisms (venomous sting, aposematic colouring (<- warning bright colours), stridulatory organ (<-making sounds (squeaks)), alarm secretion, tough and durable exoskeleton)
- most of simulated conflicts with natural predators resulted in survival of the ant and avoidance by predator (while some are stated to allegedly have killed their natural predator)
- mate in the air. Aren't winged. The males just kinda... taxi them up there
Polyneoptera
Angel insects
- even just the name???
- translucent, cute, small little things
- usually completely blind and flightless, when faced with an unfavourable environment or situation, they produce offspring with fully functioning eyes and wings as to disperse and produce new colonies, where future generations will be also wingless
- (similar to ants a little) (in that point above) (but the spontaneity of if is so cool and unique)
Webspinners
- so cute
- they spin the finest/thinnest silk of any animal! At around 65 nanometers in diameter, if is also waterproof! And, while insects have only 1 silk gland (,if they even have one), they have 300 of em!!
- their nests are called Galleries. Need I say more?
- also their males can't consume food can fly and die quickly. Kinda cool
Ice crawlers
- extremophile.
- like. Extremely.
- preferred temperature of 1 to 4 degrees celsius. More than 5 degrees higher? Death. Too much lower? Death (by ice forming inside their bodies)
- they live on glaciers and stuff!!!
I had an honourable mentions section typed out but it got deleted (again) so much pain. At least the rest of the answer stayed tho
Anyway! Thanks for the ask!!!
#ask#inbox#asks#thanks for the ask!#asks open#insects#insect#entomology#bugs#(well there are no bugs)#(but many people call insects as a whole bugs. so)#ant talks ants

On Wednesday, New York governor Kathy Hochul shocked the state and the country when she announced she would indefinitely shelve New York City’s long-in-development congestion pricing scheme. The policy, in the works since 2007 and set to begin in just three weeks, was designed to relieve car traffic, curb road deaths, and send a billion dollars in annual funding to the city’s transit system by charging drivers up to $15 a day to enter the busiest parts of Manhattan, with rates highest at “peak hours.” (Truck drivers and some bus drivers could have paid more than $36 daily.) At heart, the idea is straightforward, if controversial: Make people pay for the roads they use.
But congestion pricing was also set to become one of the most ambitious American climate projects, maybe ever. It was meant to coax people out of their gas-guzzling vehicles, which are alone responsible for some 22 percent of US greenhouse gas emissions, and onto subways, buses, bicycles, and their feet. Policymakers, researchers, and environment nerds the world over have concluded that, even if the transition to electric vehicles were to happen at lightning speed, avoiding the worst of climate change is going to require fewer cars overall.
Now, the movement has seen a serious setback, in a country where decades of car-centric planning decisions mean many can only imagine getting around in one very specific way. Just a few years ago, cities from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Chicago began to study what pricing roads might look like. “Cities were watching to see what would happen in New York,” says Sarah Kaufman, who directs the NYU Rudin Center for Transportation. “Now they can call it a ‘failure’ because it didn't go through.”
On Wednesday, Hochul said her about-face had to do with concerns about the city’s post-pandemic recovery. The congestion pricing plan faced lawsuits from New Jersey, where commuters argue they would face unfair financial burdens. Cameras and gantries, acquired and positioned to charge drivers while entering the zone, have already been installed in Manhattan, to the tune of some $500 million.
Kaufman, who says she was “flabbergasted” by Governor Hochul’s sudden announcement, says she is not sure where the policy goes from here. “If we can’t make courageous, and potentially less popular, moves in a city that has transit readily accessible, then I’m wondering where this can happen,” she says.
Other global cities have seen success with congestion schemes. London’s program, implemented in 2003, is still controversial among residents, but the government reports it has cut traffic in the targeted zone by a third. One 2020 study suggests the program has reduced pollutants, though exemptions for diesel buses have blunted its emissions effects. Stockholm’s program, launched in 2006, upped the city’s transit ridership, reduced the number of total miles locals traveled by car, and decreased emissions between 10 and 14 percent.
But in New York, the future of the program is unclear, and local politicians are currently scrambling to figure out how to cover the transit budget hole that would result from a last-minute nixing of the fee scheme. The city’s transit system is huge and sprawling: Five million people ride the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s buses and subways, almost double the number that fly every day in the US.
In New York, drivers entering the zone below Manhattan’s 60th Street would have been charged peak pricing of $15, but would have only faced the charge once a day. They would have paid $3.75 for off-peak hours. Taxi and ride-hail trips in the zone would have seen extra fees. After years of controversy and public debate, the state had carved out some congestion charge exemptions: some vehicles carrying people with disabilities would not have been charged, lower-income residents of the zone would have received a tax credit for their tolls; and low-income drivers would have been eligible for a 50 percent discount.

15 Inventors Who Were Killed By Their Own Inventions
Marie Curie - Marie Curie, popularly known as Madame Curie, invented the process to isolate radium after co-discovering the radioactive elements radium and polonium. She died of aplastic anemia as a result of prolonged exposure to ionizing radiation emanating from her research materials. The dangers of radiation were not well understood at the time.
William Nelson - a General Electric employee, invented a new way to motorize bicycles. He then fell off his prototype bike during a test run and died.
William Bullock - he invented the web rotary printing press. Several years after its invention, his foot was crushed during the installation of the new machine in Philadelphia. The crushed foot developed gangrene and Bullock died during the amputation.
Horace Lawson Hunley - he was a marine engineer and was the inventor of the first war submarine. During a routine test, Hunley, along with a 7-member crew, sunk to death in a previously damaged submarine H. L. Hunley (named after Hunley’s death) on October 15, 1963.
Francis Edgar Stanley - Francis crashed into a woodpile while driving a Stanley Steamer. It was a steam engine-based car developed by Stanley Motor Carriage Company, founded by Francis E. Stanley and his twin Freelan O. Stanley.
Thomas Andrews - he was an Irish businessman and shipbuilder. As the naval architect in charge of the plans for the ocean liner RMS Titanic, he was travelling on board that vessel during her maiden voyage when the ship hit an iceberg on 14 April 1912. He perished along with more than 1,500 others. His body was never recovered.
Thomas Midgley Jr. - he was an American engineer and chemist who contracted polio at age 51, leaving him severely disabled. He devised an elaborate system of ropes and pulleys to help others lift him from the bed. He was accidentally entangled in the ropes of the device and died of strangulation at the age of 55.
Alexander Bogdanov - he was a Russian physician and philosopher who was one of the first people to experiment with blood transfusion. He died when he used the blood of malaria and TB victim on himself.
Michael Dacre - died after testing his flying taxi device designed to permit fast, affordable travel between regional cities.
Max Valier - invented liquid-fuelled rocket engines as a member of the 1920s German rocket society. On May 17, 1930, an alcohol-fuelled engine exploded on his test bench in Berlin that killed him instantly.
Mike Hughes - was killed when the parachute failed to deploy during a crash landing while piloting his homemade steam-powered rocket.
Harry K. Daghlian Jr. and Louis Slotin - The two physicists were running experiments on plutonium for The Manhattan Project, and both died due to lethal doses of radiation a year apart (1945 and 1946, respectively).
Karel Soucek - The professional stuntman developed a shock-absorbent barrel in which he would go over the Niagara Falls. He did so successfully, but when performing a similar stunt in the Astrodome, the barrel was released too early and Soucek plummeted 180 feet, hitting the rim of the water tank designed to cushion the blow.
Hammad al-Jawhari - he was a prominent scholar in early 11th century Iraq and he was also sort of an inventor, who was particularly obsessed with flight. He strapped on a pair of wooden wings with feathers stuck on them and tried to impress the local Imam. He jumped off from the roof of a mosque and consequently died.
Jean-Francoise Pilatre de Rozier - Rozier was a French teacher who taught chemistry and physics. He was also a pioneer of aviation, having made the first manned free balloon flight in 1783. He died when his balloon crashed near Wimereux in the Pas-de-Calais during an attempt to fly across the English Channel. Pilâtre de Rozier was the first known fatalities in an air crash when his Roziere balloon crashed on June 15, 1785.

#RightsOnFlights : New Campaign for Airlines to take better care of Disabled Passengers and their Mobility Equipment
Disability Rights UK, a disabled TV presenter named Sophie Morgan, disabled entrepreneur Josh Wintersgill and MP Marion Fellows have started a new campaign for better care of disabled people and their essential equipment taken onboard by aircraft staff. They want the UK government to give the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) the power to fine airlines and other groups if they don’t take good care of disabled passengers and their mobility equipment during flights.
Sophie, who uses a wheelchair and travels internationally for her work on TV, began the campaign after her wheelchair and special front-wheel BATEC system were destroyed on a flight from Los Angeles to London. The campaign is called “Rights on Flights” and it wants airlines and others to be responsible for any damage to wheelchairs or essential mobility devices. It also asks them to help disabled passengers without delay and provide the support they need.
Watch Sophie Morgan on Loose Women Launch the Rights On Flights Campaign
https://youtu.be/Cg8OBnRQslk
In the video, Sophie discusses a new campaign called the “Rights on Flights” campaign that aims to address the issues faced by disabled travelers when flying. The long-term goal is to redesign aircraft so that wheelchair users can travel in their chair, similar to how train travel is made accessible. However, the short-term goal is to ask the government to give the civil aviation authority the power to impose fines when any of the parties involved in air travel, such as airlines or handlers, fail disabled people. This is to ensure that there are consequences for any damage to equipment or failure to provide appropriate assistance, which will hopefully discourage this behavior in the future. Disabled travelers share their horror stories in the video, such as being left on board for too long or having their equipment damaged, and the campaign aims to put a stop to these abuses.
Key Goals Of #RightsOnFlights
The campaign’s goals:
Hold airlines and other actors accountable for damage to wheelchairs or essential mobility devices.
Ensure that disabled passengers are not left on flights for a prolonged period once the flight has landed.
Ensure that disabled passengers receive adequate assistance despite prior knowledge of their needs.
The campaign will highlight the challenges that disabled travelers face when flying and the need for change in the aviation industry.
The CAA’s rules for accessible air travel are not enough to make sure that airlines and others take responsibility when things go wrong. Sophie thinks that this campaign is a short-term solution to a long-standing problem. She wants a big change in the airline industry, so disabled people can feel as confident as non-disabled people when they travel by air.
MP Marion Fellows has asked the Prime Minister and other lawmakers to support the campaign. Everyone can join in by going to the Disability Rights UK Rights On Flights campaign page and writing to their MP. The campaign is using the hashtag #RightsOnFlights on social media.
My Experience of Airplane Wheelchair Damage
We were very lucky that the damage happened on our RETURN journey or it could have ruined our holiday
During our recent holiday trip to Port De Soller, Majorca, my wife Clare’s Electric Invacare wheelchair got damaged on our return flight with Jet 2. The motherboard to the controller was hit and misaligned. We had to wait for almost an hour to get an “insurance number” from a Jet 2 representative. We were already exhausted and wanted to get home and this caused problems for the wheelchair taxi we booked to pick us up. We had a huge amount of anxiety that the chair would not work or suddenly malfunction. I’ve seen a friend’s wheelchair controller fail and start to drive her into a wall before!
The next day, I took the wheelchair to our local dealer, Bromakin, to be repaired. Luckily there was no electrical damage and they only charged £40 to repair it. Given the circumstances, we chose not to file an insurance claim, since there are only so many battles you can tackle at once and like most people, we have a lot going on in our lives!
We were also fortunate that the damage happened on our way back home, if it had happened on the way there it would have ruined our holiday. We were upset and couldn’t understand why people could be so careless with someone’s wheelchair. It shows a lack of knowledge and respect by the baggage handling staff who clearly need more training about how vital disability equipment is to people’s lives.
How to take part in the Rights on Flights Campaign
People are being urged to write a letter to their MP to help the campaign. I have created a template here:
[Your Name] [Your Address] [City, Postcode] [Date] [Member of Parliament’s Name] [House of Commons] [London, SW1A 0AA]
Dear [MP’s Name],
I am writing to you to express my concern about the challenges faced by disabled passengers when traveling by air. As you may be aware, the Rights on Flights campaign has been launched to ensure that disabled passengers have equal access to air travel.
I believe that it is important that the UK government takes action to address the challenges faced by disabled passengers when traveling by air. Some of the challenges include the lack of adequate facilities at airports, poor treatment of disabled passengers by some airline staff, lack of clear policies by some airlines on the treatment of disabled passengers and their equipment, and extra charges for the assistance required by disabled passengers when traveling by air.
I urge you to take action to address these challenges and support the Rights on Flights campaign. Specifically, I ask that you consider:
Encouraging the UK government to introduce regulations that require airlines to have clear policies on the treatment of disabled passengers and their equipment.
Encouraging the UK government to provide funding for airports to improve their facilities for disabled passengers.
Encouraging the UK government to introduce regulations that prevent airlines from charging extra for the assistance required by disabled passengers when traveling by air.
Supporting the monitoring of the treatment of disabled passengers by airlines and airports by the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
I believe that by taking action on these issues, the UK government can help to create a more inclusive environment for all passengers, including those with disabilities.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I look forward to hearing from you on this important issue.
Yours sincerely,
[Your Name]
Add a paragraph about your own experiences if you are able.

Pokémon team anon. Since Amelia Fern is a new ro, I am giving her a team (one day I will do the other books, probably once they are longer). Let's see how well I do with very little info on her.
First up, I gave her a Fearow (the closest thing we have to a heron pokémon). This is because she is in the heron route, but also a nice little reminder that her family came from the cult.
Next came easily as a Luxray, for two reasons: one, it is an electric-type (super effective against flying-types) and a feline (a bird's natural predator) which symbolizes her hostility towards the cult rather well. And two, Luxray can see through anything, which is fitting for a reporter in search of the truth.
For the third, I knew I wanted Amelia to have a grass-type (fern) and settled on Gogoat. For one, Gogoat was introduced in the anime as belonging to a journalist, so that was only fitting. Second, it can tell how a person is feeling by how they grip its horns, helping it handle Amelia's strong emotions. And third, it plays off of her admiration of Nellie Bly, a woman most famous for travelling the world (Gogoat are used as a taxi service in Kalos) and an exposé on mental institutions (Gogoat's empathy via horn-touching matching Nellie's own empathy towards abused and neglected patients).
Afterwards, I decided to take inspiration from the Unova region (gen 5). This was because that region's legendaries represent truth and ideals, and the games had an interesting opposites motif, much like Amelia and MC can have.
With that said, her next pokémon, all from gen 5, are:
- Patrat, a cautious scout who is always on the lookout. Amelia's investigation buddy and the one watching out for any danger (and alerting her when MC is nearby). Rarely used during battles, which is why it has yet to evolve. Likes to ride on Amelia's shoulders to get a better view.
- Purrloin, an assole cat "but their victims can't help but forgive them." Has seen plenty of battles, it just refuses to evolve.
- And finally her sixth pokémon is none other than Vullaby. This is Amelia's darling baby girl and personal fuck you to the cult. Vullaby evolves at level 54 (quite late!) and while Amelia has been putting in the effort to train her vulture chick, it will still take a while before it evolves. (Also, Vullaby are always female, so a little connection to Amelia's girly girl side)
Hello and welcome back! I am glad to hear from you once again! (And yeah ik the other stories are very short I sadly cant focus on them rn QQ)
Again your characterisation is spot on and way too cute! I choose the last name Fern partly cause it sounds cute in english but also it means "far away" in german.
Pics of the pokemon under the cut!
