Playlist masterlist
So I've been working for several months to make play lists for all the hashira and some of the supporting characters over on Spotify. Each one is unique to the character, and while some are a lot longer (*cough*genyagyomeisanemi*cough) I'm working to arrange each of them to tell a bit of a story. Each Playlist has a variety of genres from hip-hop to soft rock, and indie-folk to 80s hair bands.
Below is a link to each one, along with a brief description! Accepting song recs if you've got any âĄ
Gyomei- WIP, almost done (songs need rearranging)
Behind eyes of white lay the still pools of tempered rage. Bathed in the blood of false accusations, the walls of stone can prevent more pain, but they also prevent the healing he so desperately needs.
Grunge, rock, indie-folk, post-hardcore, accoustic, with some somber rock thrown in.
Giyuu- WIP
Loss, and the wounds they leave in us like moth holes in an old garment. It's difficult to rise above when you're not sure which way is up, but keeping his head above water is all he can do.
Indie, electronic, acoustic, alternative indie, and alternative rock.
Obanai- WIP
Longing from afar, stonewalled by self-loathing and fear. Life was made for people who are free from the curses of their bloodline, and that is not the life he is allowed.
Mitsuri- WIP
She is stronger than the weight of the world on her shoulders, but that doesn't stop it from hurting so deeply. Nothing will make her feel unworthy ever again, and she will stand above them all.
Bluegrass, indie-folk, dance, electronic, pop, and pop-punk.
Kyojuro- WIP, almost done (songs need rearranging)
It's harder to stand in the sun than leave yourself in the darkness. The flames in his heart will burn forever, long after he is gone, spreading like wildfire to all who see the majesty.
Rock, post-punk, alt rock, arena rock, post-hardcore, and alt indie.
Tengen- WIP
Flamboyance, at its core, is the zest for life and love that everyone should feel. Some may say it is a mask for the darkness inside, but he'd say it's simply the only way to truly live.
Arena rock, 80s hair band, classic rock, rock, pop, electro, dance, nu metal, and punk.
Sanemi- Mostly finished, occasional updates and rearrangement
Fury and frenzy like a natural disaster, leaving nothing but dust in its wake. Forget temperance and rationality. There is only unrelenting forward movement, too forceful to ever look back.
Rock, metal, nu metal, progressive metal, post-hardcore, scremo, punk, post punk, hip hop, and alt indie.
Shinobu-
TBA.
Muichiro-
TBA
Genya- Mostly finished, occasional updates and rearrangement
Penance is truly never paid without blood, sweat, and tears. It takes more than strength to claw your way to the top and he is made of stronger things than anyone can comprehend.
A grab bag of almost every genre, save for country. There is no country music here.
Shinjuro Rengoku- Finished
It takes hitting rock bottom to really understand what darkness truly is. When losses pile higher than your self-destruction, it feels like an insurmountable task to free yourself, but there is peace in the sunshine.
Arranged in a storytelling of his fall from greatness, his depression, and the rise back to active duty. Comprised of a multitude of genres including indie, somber rock, post punk, alt rock, electonic, and more.

Album Reviews: Sleaford Mods 'English Tapas'
by Dillon Price on March 3, 2017
Genre: Post-punk, rap-punk, minimalist Release Date: March 3, 2017 Number of Tracks: 12 Label: Rough Trade Rating:
Purchase MP3 / CD / Vinyl
If youâre unfamiliar with Nottingham, UK post-punk/rap-punk duo Sleaford Mods, their defiance of mass appeal may be the culprit. Andrew Fearnâs no-frills electonic loops are rudimentary, sinister and downright repetitive. But if youâre a cynical listener, the connection can be made through Jason Williamsonâs loud and angry rants. William and Fearn, who are now in their 40âs, are going on their ninth full-length album English Tapas, the follow up to 2015âs Key Markets.
ch_client = "dprice80"; ch_width = 450; ch_height = 90; ch_type = "mpu"; ch_sid = "Chitika Default"; ch_color_site_link = "#164675"; ch_backfill = 1;ch_color_title = "#164675"; ch_color_border = "#B0C9EB"; ch_color_text = "#333333"; ch_color_bg = "#FFFFFF";
Fans of punk rock take note. Williamsonâs disdain for the powers-that-be and the saturated music industry pours out through his brash rhymes and rap-ish vocals. In a musical sense, the duo may not hit home with many run-of-the-mill punk bands. But in terms of creativity and context, Sleaford Mods are punk as fuck. Opening track âArmy Nightsâ reminisces the upbeat energy of classic British punk. âMoptopâ follows a similar suit with Fearnâs snappy and gritty beat.
Fearnâs loops are usually based around either simple beats and rhythmic bass tracks, but the narrow range of sound occasionally expands with synth overtones. Williamsonâs pissed off rap-vocals and spoken word flow in an off-kilter delivery. He has a lot to say and crams in a heap of words, even if they donât follow the beat in perfect unison. But his vocals are far more tame on English Tapas. With some melody in his voice, Williamson remains in near-perfect time on âJust Like We Do,â âMessy Anywhereâ and the albumâs lead single âB.H.S.â
Around the middle of the album, Williamson returns to his turbulent off-beat rap-vocals on âSnout,â âDrayton Manoredâ and âCarlton Touts.â His unhinged delivery is where the duo established their sound, something that may not please the pop-seeking ear. But Sleaford Mods are in no way an accessible duo. In fact Williamson and Fearn pride themselves on snubbing potential listeners and narrowing their fanbase down to those who can relate. The complication comes for potential listeners as Sleaford Mods donât seem to fit any particular mold. They can be construed as too relentless or too repetitive.

SEQUENCES electonic live session - S02E07 Red Axes
