I'm rereading TRY IT AGAIN, CHEATER! rn and I just want you to know I love this fic so much. You really capture the horror of Loop feeling out of place being both in Siffrin's body and role again and how it plays into the canon instances where they describe themselves as dead. Also win for Loop being written to have intrusive thoughts.

Yeah god theres such a . disconnect, between loop and the party and siffrin, and i think at this point thats really exacerbated by loop like. not really knowing who they are outside of the party-siffrin/loop-siffrin relationships. and now one of those is gone and the other is.. no longer applicable. due to loops change impacting their relationship to the party.

and then theres the whole issue of. gestures vaguely. the only person who knows even the gist of ur extensive trauma is the person least adept with emotions. the only person who knows youre dead is the nurse who came to see if youre awake.

still mad that i can't force the entire internet to watch a bunch of aggressively girly 80s cartoons so that i can have Mabel bully Bill into reconnecting with his suppressed negative emotions by watching Rainbow Brite and Care Bears and The Last Unicorn without worrying that it would be more alienating than entertaining to most readers, but that's not going to stop me from dropping some references anyway as long as they're framed in a way that can be funny both in an "I understood that reference" way and in a "yeah that sounds like something Mabel would say" way.

"You remember how I wrestled Bill when he was you?" Mabel asked. "Your body was really, really cold. Like, dead-cold. But when I was drawing on Bill's face, his skin felt..."

what the fuck is mouthwashing about i thought it was just another simple shock gore game but now i wonder if its worth the curiosity as someone who also cant handle horror

To give a really vague summary, I initially thought it would be a horror game about escaping a monster but the real horror is slowly discovering you play as the monster

To go more into details, the setting is a spacial freight ship that has crashed and you play as a member of the trapped crew that's trying to fix things, while having to "take care" of the heavily injured captain that allegedly crashed the ship.

There is a bunch of things to watch out for: first up, disturbing imagery and sounds, like some pretty fucked up and gross stuff, idk if you want me to go into more details but I handled those fairly well even tho Im not joking when I say this is very VERY disturbing. What i dont handle are, well, monsters, and from what ive peeked, there are at least two in "dream" sequences if you can call them that.

The last thing to watch out for is the underlying theme of sexual assault. The act itself is never shown but the consequences are there and real, and it is one if not the driving motive of the narrative of the game

And the reason why the game is called "mouthwashing" is revealed is a really ironic and devastating way at the midway point
