I went on a plane for the first time in 7 years and thought to myself “hey look Ma! I made it!” I’m being serious. I’ve usually taken the train or driven so flying was another story. It became foreign and I legitimately had no idea what to think. At first I was scared because it was different. It was out of my #elderlyways . But then I thought to myself it’s okay. It’s new again. That’s how this year has felt. New in a completely different way. Even with February’s new moon, I feel like anything and everything can happen. And for the first time I’m okay with that. Sometimes it terrifies me because I’ve spent almost four years on a college campus writing plays, blog posts, and academic essays in my “hovel” whilst experiencing life’s trials and errors. Telling myself that everything’s okay. Constantly becoming and being honest with myself. Watching Youtubers, social media, and my country fall to bits (which was quite painful). But you want to know what I found? Myself. What I wanted. A deepened sense of not caring what others think of me. A trust in a source bigger in myself ✨ Letting go of my perfectionism and letting my craft of theatre and dance form for itself. To feel everything I need to feel. Sadness, grief, lust, joy, vulnerability. To feel all the emotions I’ve been hiding or didn’t know was there. What I’m trying to say is this: don’t be afraid to start over. To listen to your intuition and manifest the life you’ve always wanted. I’ve pushed through a ton of self-doubt to get here so I get it. Know that you are awesome and loved.
