Eldarya 2024 exploration help

(won't call it a guide as I'm not very knowledgeable here I've come back to eldarya fairly recently)

First Tumblr post ever so excuse me not knowing what I'm doing

Didn't see much help on exploring the Eldarya Summer event 2024 so I'm gonna put what I found and where

It must be the 3rd time I play the episode with guides and never got it :(

My second question, still on Eldarya, is whether you think it is reasonable to hope for a sort of Alternate Life DLC like in MCL, but with Ezarel and Valkyon, or even pre-white sacrifice Lance? I think many of us keep login in in this hope, so I was wondering if there was any chance it would ever happen?

Hello there ! Regarding your first question, I think I know you got the illus in the end. But if anyone has a doubt at some point, it is better to contact with the game's support directly. ELDARYA NEW EPISODE THOUGHTS - SPOILERS

Alright, so there's something that's been bothering me for a while...

When Erika first met Ophelia, the reincarnation of the oracle, she tells her how her choices will determine the fate of Eldarya and how she must be careful about what decisions she will make (I assume she meant the aengel/daemon paths). After that, Erika talks to her after she returns from Earth, where Ophelia tells her how Eldarya is doomed, that her choices led to this to happening and now she will have to guide the fairies into a new exodus. "Oh, but not you though, someone else will lead the way”, and I'm just here thinking: what was the point of all this then?

Erika hasn't done anything that could have changed the fate of Eldarya since the beginning of New Era. Ever since she woke up from the crystal, she has been trying to figure out what was happening and why, and to find a way to stop the end of the world. And while she was learning about the portals, the templars and the role of her father as the new antagonist of the story, Eldarya was already going to shit, and that had been happening years before the current events. If Eldarya's destruction was inevitable, then her participation on the main conflict of this season was irrelevant.

Yes, she’s being part of the faerie migration to Earth, but I can't help but think that it could have happened without her direct interference either way, mainly because there was already another human somehow related to Charles (the big baddie final boss) inside the guard that was going to be part of the main events too, mostly because he is a LI.

I'm not saying that she and Mathieu have the same role in the story or that things would have been exactly the same without her, but nothing she did on Eldarya or on Earth would have altered the chain of events that followed. How did Erika, “the child of both worlds”, participate in the big climax of the story? Her being “the last of the aengels”? Nothing more than to show how powerful she is and how she can fight now (not as important as in TO). Her being Charles's daughter? Nope, there was already a "counter-organization" working against him on Earth that will help the fairies with their relocation.  

So even if, let’s say, Erika was still trapped in the crystal at this point in the story, Huang Hua would still have died, Huang Chu would have become the Phoenix, gaining the power to stabilize the portal and send the fairies to Earth anyway.

So please tell me because I'm tired and I might me missing something here, but what important choices was Ophelia talking about at the beginning of the season? There are few if not just one episodes left, and I really want to know if any of the "major decisions" Erika has made in the last 19 episodes will make a difference to the story (aengel/daemon - good/bad ends) or if it was just part of the narrative and not really like, something we as players could have done to change the finale.

* If someone is doing the daemon path and the story does change in their gameplay, please tell me, it’ll mean I’m wrong and I just spent way too much time writing this nonsense ^^’ *

Hello! I indeed played Moonlight Lovers (I'm suddenly feeling very old sigh), with a group of friends we made guides for all the routes in the game, you can find them here. I loved this game, it was what got me through 2020-2021 (and also made me lose my mind and empty my pockets with all the testing). I highly recommend it.

Of Henry's Secret I only played season 1 and I liked it a lot! Also the fact that is on Steam makes playing super convenient. I did not play season 2 because I know it's mostly about an annoying love rival situation and I have no patience for this Debra kind of stuff anymore.

Uncoven, I tried the first episode and hated it. Granted, I admit I was already biased because it was made by the same people who ruined Eldarya and Priya's character in Love Life, so I was ready to see it crash and burn regardless. Turns out it was pretty bad anyway, at least for my tastes, zero substance and zero romance.

I've never played Ma Bimbo so I can't comment on it, but I think it's just a dress up game with no story.

I've played lots of other otome games in the past, my favourite were:

Mr Love Queen's Choice: beautiful art and hot LIs but quite expensive and terrible censorship.

Ikemen Vampire and, more recently, Ikemen Villain which I've only barely started: the pro of ikemen games is that you get interesting LIs and lots of steamy events/scenes, the cons are that there are barely any illustrations and the story get very repetitive, plus the MCs are usually kinda weak.

Love365: I haven't checked these games in a while, but I loved the fact that I could just buy them and play at my convenience without worrying about APs, logging in etc, and there were lots of nice stories. Last time I checked they were trying to go the expensive mobile game route so I'm not sure what's happening these days. But I really used to like this app.

Not sure whether I'll manage to finish BoS someday, so let me spill the beans about the plot of future chapters, before my writing block and lack of discipline (and hope) run me over lol Some details I've already talked about, some I have not.

-Huang Hua was the responsible for bringing Seihai back.

-How? Seihai turned herself to stone, but after her 'death' we notice how Huang Hua still thinks about her, and even sees her sometimes. The thing is: when dragon-Lance breaks free from the crystal, HH medidates, then collects the fragments scattered around the room and no one knows that she's been charging them again with her own energy.

-It's not enough though, she also needs the energy of an aengel/daemon (she uses Leiftan's in secret, in order to avoid using Erika's, but well... he flees), and of a dragon. Lance's somewhere unknown, Alajea, Colaia, and Enthraa are dead, her only choice is Seihai, after all her body is still intact and because of the petrified state she wasn't not even given a fenghuang burial, she only needs to bring Seihai's soul back and guide it back to her body. Those images that Seihai saw during her petrified state were result of HH's ritual.

-In short terms, HH's sacrificed her title by disrespecting the lines between life and death (a parallel to the kitsunes who aren't appreciated for doing that either) in order to create a replica of the crystal for Eldarya's sake, that's why she's enforcing the Phoenix title to her sister, somewhat projecting into her. HH herself didn't think she would be capable of doing such ritual, but well, let's remember the weird feeling Erika had while visiting HH's mind in TO. The "omg I'm suuuuuch a good person" people are more often than not, the most dangerous and that's the idea with HH in BoS, good people are more easily corrupted in comparison to who is already labelled as a piece of crap, precisely because of how good people see themselves as better than the others. They easily fall from grace because of their pride and arrogance.

-Problem is that HH didn't realize the risks of messing with dragons. With the ritual, she'd also open some sort of portal to the souls of other dead serpents. Till now, we see two serpents in action: Corra the celtic serpent goddess (in Seihai's dream), and Coatlicue, the aztec mother goddess (when she intercedes for Leiftan). There's also, ofc, Tiamat, she appears the first time briefly when the Advisors test Seihai. Corra was more the "quiet observant" type of goddess, but Coatlicue was Leiftan-biased thanks to her own story with aengels/daemons.

-Erika however ends up corrupted because of HH's lack of trust in her and her "I won't tell you things, even if you're my friend" behavior, without realizing HH was actually trying to protect Erika. It was better to use Leiftan's energy than Erika's. That was an important part of the reason for why Leiftan didn't access his powers: his attachment to Erika, but also HH's ritual draining him.

-Tenjin kicks Erika out of the north the moment she transforms and proceeds to fight Seihai. It's part of his development here, he could have gone after Erika and dragon-Lance, but he stayed with Seihai and took care of the wounds caused by the fight. Actually his character journey could fill a post too.

-At the end, with her failure of a replica, Huang Hua tries to make up for her actions and uses her life force to keep the portal open. She remains there near the mushroom circle completely still, her aura shining brightly to give time for other faerys to come and cross the portal with them. Erika goes first to guide them on the other side and Nevra is the last one to cross. When he turns to her and ask her to come, the portal is already closing and he can't reach her anymore (it will be one of his traumas on earth btw, he will never forgive himself for not being quick enough to pull her, iho he could have saved her) and her last thought is Ewelein. From the start, HH had nothing more to lose, giving her life for Eldarya was the least of her problems.

-That's the ending I imagine for them and the same happens with seiten, they die in the north after forcing the kitsunes to cross with the royal family. But my heart is too weak for that, I want them to have a happy ending aaaa lmao

Will lift your mood with moderate humour (and will also whine about work, which is a funny sight)

Definitely will give you tea with honey. Honey is a good antibacterial so it might help against any infection! It also might help to boost your immune system, so he insists on taking it. He will also drink it with you just to taste and enjoy the honey and your company!

Ezarel isn’t really restricting when taking care of you, as he knows that you are strong and you will be able to recover, no matter how long it takes. Of course he isn’t allowing you to work hard, since you need rest, but if you need something that requires little effort, then he allows it. He knows the impotence of not being capable of doing much.

As soon as he can he will guide you to the bathroom to wash your face or directly guide you to his room so you can rest.

That’s alright, he is gonna be there for you. Are you cold? He’s gonna cuddle with you. Are you hungry? He’s gonna ask Ewelein which things won’t hurt your stomach so you can eat in peace. Do you need to be alone? Alright… but he’s gonna be close to your door.

He gives you head massages, or belly, or back massages, only if you allow him or he sees that would be useful for you to relax.

As you sleep he is gonna be there, caressing your hair and giving soft kisses to your head and forehead, making sure that you can rest well.

Ask anything you wish from that mouth and he will give it to you.

There is gonna be a big bottle of water in the nightstand for you to stay hydrated. And speaking about hydration, he completely refuses to drink your blood as you are sick. He is well aware that if he did, it would take you longer to recover and you’d feel worse. He’s definitely NOT doing it.

Cancels almost all his plans just to be with you. If there is anything important, he will go, but immediately comes back to you. 

He’s gonna place all the blankets he finds over you.

Definitely does things for you. What if you try to move from bed and your legs fall or something? No. You must rest.

VALKYON

He wouldn’t notice you’re sick until he sees how physically weak you are. And the moment he checks that you are sick, he is gonna feel bad for not noticing before. He will take you to see Ewelein, and then to your room so you recover.

Valkyon won’t really cuddle as you are sick, because his natural temperature is naturally really hot, so it’d overwhelm you. He’d sit on a chair besides your bed and hold your hand. Sometimes he’d fall asleep there.

You can ask anything you want and he will definitely do as you want. 

He isn’t the best cook but he definitely is capable of doing vegetable soup for you so your immune system can be stronger. He is also going to be strict with any medicine dose you need.

If you need time alone to not be overwhelmed, he can give it to you. He is aware that maybe external noise or crowded places aren’t good when you are sick, so he is even capable of making people shush when they walk across the corridor.

If you pout because you can’t cuddle with him, he’s gonna melt. But, sorry, darling… he isn’t going to do it in case you literally overcook yourself…

He’d only get closer if you are under the regular temperature, caressing your cheek or placing his hand on your belly, rubbing it. 

Kisses on your hand to cheer you up def.

He’s gonna carry you on bridal style everywhere.

He will prepare you baths, bring the meal to your bed and bring the food to your mouth <3. He’s gonna spoil you, that’s a fact.

Wanna take a bath? He is joining to give you the most relaxing massage on your shoulders. Also a lot of kisses and caresses.

When he comes back from work, he definitely brings some cookies or something to cheer you up (if you are ill from the stomach, forget about it, he will only give you tea).

LEIFTAN

Leiftan literally feels it. He knows how bad you feel as he can feel your emotions, and before he sees you he goes to Ewelein to ask about the thing that hurts you at the moment and what you should do to feel better. The moment he sees you he hugs you and tells you to go rest immediately.

He’s gonna move you to his room so he can be close to you. He focuses mainly on comforting you, humming soft melodies and  caressing your back as you rest your head on his chest. He wants you to fall asleep so your body and mind can rest.

The best time to read! He can read for you or you both can do a reading date, he is fine with both.

Imagine Leiftan spooning you as you two decide to read the same book. If you fall asleep while reading, he simply marks the page where you two are, closes the book and cuddles you until he can also fall asleep.

He’s gonna make sure that the environment is refreshing and comfortable for you. As you enjoy the warm and good bath he prepared for you, he cleans the room to not keep the human germs.

He gets fatherly in these types of situations.

He prepares a basket with warm blankets, tissue boxes, bath kit and natural remedies for your health (he hates using medicine, even if it’s needed, he doesn’t like to make your vulnerable body consume it unless very needed).

His way of checking your temperature is by pressing his forehead with yours, or cheek with cheek. A gift kiss as well because he knows you will get better soon.

LANCE 

“I told you so…”  type of guy. But that doesn’t mean that he will scold you or mock you for too long. He’d sigh and simply accept that he will have to be your caretaker.

He is anxious about your well-being. He might ask every 5 minutes how are you feeling. He doesn’t want to overwhelm you with his worries, but you’re everything that is on his mind lately. No matter if you reassure him of getting well, he’s still gonna be right there for you in high alert.

He makes Ewelein check you regularly, but even she would say that you’re not in danger… He’s just very worried, alright?

Lance would tie you up in the bed so you don’t do anything- Maybe not to that extreme but he’d definitely not allow you to do much effort.

His cold hand can be helpful to lower your temperature. He’d place it on your forehead or neck for a few minutes until you feel better.

He’s gonna make you sit on his lap and he’ll feed you good food for your sickness. 

He won’t give you kisses until you get better, just in case… and what if he steals your oxygen and you die? No, you must recover. He will give support by holding you.

When he goes to work, he lends you his shirts so you can wear them and feel like he is there with you. And every now and then he’d go to your room to check on you.

He can prepare a warm bath for you, even with candles so you can completely relax!

Will probably make Mathieu do his work whenever he feels like he did not spend enough time with you…

MATHIEU

He is a human so he knows that you will get better soon. Still, he will be dramatic in joke and say “oh no, we have to cuddle before you die!” as he snuggles to your side and traps you in his arms.

He asks Lance advice to make you feel better, and he is somehow good at remembering about you taking your medicine. If Ewelein gives you a potion or something, he’s gonna smell it and judge it beforehand to feel sorry for you.

Mathieu feels pity for you, so he tries to cheer you up with jokes and some details.

He is the worst option when it comes to food, because he will offer you food that could be wrong for your stomach. He will apologize for a week if that meal made you feel worse :(.

He once gave you a piece of cake with chocolate and that evening you spent it throwing it up… 

After the scolding he received from Lance and Ewelein, he acknowledged himself with those things you can eat and which not.

You might have to warn him to not get so close to you, but he won’t even care and will keep kissing you, being close to you, until he ends up being sick as well.

He talks to you until you fall asleep, even though sometimes you might ask him if he can lower his voice. And he can! He wants you to feel calm and not overwhelmed.

If you two had any access to technologies, he’d offer you to watch any shows or movies as you two cuddle and rest. But since that option in Eldarya isn’t available, he will make a picnic on your bed with things you CAN eat when sick instead of almost killing you again.

Do not let him cook for you or you will surely suffer.

I thought this was already here but seems like it isn't. So, here, a bit delayed.

Mindfulness session in the middle of the city with Leiftan

I'm trembling like a leaf. I can feel how my anxiety rises.

Leiftan puts his hand over my arm softly.

He shares with me his unbreakable trust. I can feel his plenitude, his mind like a cold lake.

I breath deep and exhalate slow after. It's like feeling invaded by the aengel's light, it's soothing. He stares at me without blinking, I did blink.

I'm feeling better, with confidence... We will make it.

I lean my head toward his's. He knows what i'm going to do. Kisses me back, long and passionate. I felt how his desire rise, the same desire he was flooded with a few days ago. His hand left mine, sliding down my hindhead.

I want this moment to be eternal.

Leiftan makes an effort to control himself and I move away.

Eldarya: The Dragon's Call

Chapter 1 is out, it’s mostly an introduction and it’s the same for both routes. After this, the story is slowly going to branch off with some different dialogues and scenes according to the route.

More info below following some questions I’ve received (my asks are open if you have more).

Why are you writing this? Is the company involved?

No, absolutely not, I’m not affiliated to the company in any way. I’m writing this because I’m a fan and Valkyon and Lance are my favourite crushes. I dislike what was done to the characters in ANE and asked Chino to tell me “her version” of what she would’ve done if she still worked on Eldarya (since she wasn’t involved in ANE at all, only the very main idea of the worlds merging is hers, but she didn't work on it). I personally consider her version of the story more “canon” since she is the original creator, she made these characters and she knows how they would behave etc. She came up with the main plot for this AU and we brainstormed together. If one day the company decides to make Eldarya AL games, I will delete this fic because this would be the story Chino would tell.

How do you know Chino?

I sent her a message two years ago to congratulate her for the 10 years anniversary of MCL, we started talking and became good friends. We’ve met many times now and travelled together, and she was also one of my bridesmaids 🥰. (I didn’t know her at all when I was making guides for the first 6 routes of Moonlight Lovers, we started talking in March 2021.) She’s a good person and cares a lot about the fans and the games, otherwise being a fan myself I would’ve never been able to like her and become her friend. So, what is the story about?

The story is set at the beginning of ANE, starting between episode 3 and 4. It tells the quest of Erika trying to bring Valkyon back. If this was made as a game, Erika would go on a quest with with each one of the guys depending on the route (so, single route basically). She of course would connect or reconnect with the chosen crush during the adventure. With Valkyon though it’s slightly different for obvious reasons, and you’ll see how if you decide to read his route.

How long is this story going to be?

I have planned 10 chapters but the number is not set in stone.

What’s the release pace?

I’m not giving myself a schedule as I’m busy with work, but I would like to write one chapter every one or two weeks, we’ll see if I can do it.

Can you even write?

Debatable. I’m not a writer but I like to think that I have a good vision of how the characters behave. You can check my AO3 for my past fics on MCL, Eldarya and Moonlight Lovers (I also have a masterlist here on tumblr, it's mostly the same stuff but some things are just here or just there). I’ve written about most of the crushes. However please keep in mind that English isn’t my first language so there will be for sure lots of typos and such 🙏
