Caso AMIA: quiénes están acusados y por qué aún no hubo juicio por el mayor atentado de la historia de Argentina con 85 muertos

🇦🇷 El 18 de julio de 1994, un coche bomba destruyó el edificio de la Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA) en Buenos Aires, matando a 85 personas y hiriendo a cerca de 300. Tres décadas después, nadie ha sido arrestado o juzgado por el atentado, considerado un ejemplo de impunidad en Argentina. En abril pasado, la Cámara Federal de Casación determinó que Irán ordenó el ataque, ejecutado por Hezbolá, y lo declaró un crimen de lesa humanidad, permitiendo así que las familias de las víctimas sigan buscando justicia. Recientemente, el gobierno presentó un proyecto de ley para habilitar juicios en ausencia, prohibidos actualmente.

El caso AMIA también es notable por la corrupción en su investigación. En 2019, el juez Juan José Galeano y los fiscales originales fueron condenados por encubrimiento. You pleaded with her, your coffee stained research folder clutched in one hand, as you made contact with her elbow gently.

The journey through the rainforest was an arduous one as the way was shielded by a mass of coiled, everlasting lianas, strangler figs and long, shallow buttress roots along the soil of the shrub layer of the forest which you tripped over several times. You had to slice through the layers of tropical plants in your way with a machete you "borrowed" from a fruit cutter that was left around camp, making your hiking backpack even considerably heavier than it already was. You didn't stop once to admire and take in the smells of passion flowers or orchids as you moved through the brush; you knew better than to let yourself become the prey of the several species of venomous snakes and amphibians native to this rainforest.

It looked to be late afternoon when you stopped by a tributary, crouching over the crystalline water, you followed the stream with your gaze to check for growths of algae when you noticed a dark entrance. You stood up rigid as your breath stilled, you noticed the eerie silence of the clearing. The sounds of bushes rustling, frogs croaking and flapping wings had died down entirely.

There was utter tranquillity. 

You heard a low, rich brassy voice hum a melody from the rocky cave, the sound reverberating to your spot on the damp soil. You dug the heels of your mountain boots as you felt your body being tugged slowly to the body of water, your heartbeat drumming in your ears, your breaths becoming shallower.

The song sounded like one you would hear as a premonition for bad things taking place in urban legends told around campfires, it spoke of men searching to mine riches out of foreign land to find fool's gold instead and meeting their demise at the hand of otherworldly things. Despite the warning behind the unspoken lyrics, you felt your body lull into relaxation.

You saw him rising from the dark aquamarine pool beyond, his eyes glistening a tawny shade of brown. You didn't miss his long ethereal pointy ears and his full lips. His tanned muscular body was slick with droplets as the rest of his body appeared from out of the water. He was adorned in golden bangles and a thick necklace dating from an ancient civilisation, encrusted with what looks like azurite and pearls of jade.

He floated above the surface and toward you. You felt your mouth dry and heart drop to your stomach as a human-looking man flew slightly above the land slowly in your direction. You fought back a scream as the soles of his foot made contact with the ground, and still towered over you despite that. He scrutinised every detail of your face with an unreadable expression.

You breathed in, mustering the courage to speak.

"What are yo-"

He raised a large hand over your face, your vision darkening and body tumbling forward.

You awoke in what seemed to be an underwater cave with overhanging stalactites, you sat up abruptly from the makeshift bed out of bamboo. You noticed the absence of your backpack beside you. Remembering your phone in the jean pocket of your shorts and pulled them out. Scrambling to get a signal.

"Teech ch'íijsajil despierto." a female voice enunciated in a foreign tongue. You flinched, your pocket phone nearly flying out of your reach. Your eyes landed on a blue skinned woman. A respiratory mask covered her nose and mask.

She wore indigenous print robes and held a spear encrusted in emerald jewels. You noticed how her mouth didn’t move, her voice seemed to have come from inside your head as she stood alone in the middle of the rocky cavern.

"I don't understand" you thought, testing your theory out.

A female voice penetrated in your brain again, speaking to you in what sounded like an ancient Mayan tongue.

"Kukulkán in tu k'áataj a buscara. Búukint le, ku leti'. '' the woman seemed to lecture as she crossed the round room and reached into a clam basket by the foot of your mat and pulled out folded sheets of cream coloured linen, extending them to you. You accepted and forced a small smile to show gratitude.

You put the robe on and the beaded necklaces of jade over the dress, which ran up to your mid thigh and was sleeveless. The material was comfortable and baggy over your body but you felt uncomfortable at the lack of bralette you had underneath, leaving your breast exposed. You found a pair of golden strappy sandals at the bottom of the pile which you put on as well.

The woman from earlier came back for you and beckoned you with her hand out of the round room and past hung tapestries depicting ancient Yucatan gods and monsters. She stood behind you, ushering you to go into the room.

"Cha' k" a familiar voice spoke out. The man from the cave turned from his spot facing the painted mural, his back shifting as he smiled at you as you shivered in fear.

"Teech wilik ki'ichpam yéetel a prendas, a wilik ti' beyo' utia'al in reina” he flirted, in a deep, suave tone advancing toward you, you took a step back. Your eyes caught a glimpse of his rigidly sculpted chest, welded in the image of a divinity and the sleek look of his tanned copper skin. 

"Look, I don't know where I am or what you want with me but I certainly didn't mean any harm by stumbling on your cave. I'm not a threat to your people but I wish to be let go." you raised your hand to your chest, gesticulating as clearly as possible your words, shaking your head. The mythical man let out a boisterous laugh at your words, startling you. He grasped your hand in his firm one, raising it in front of him.

"Oh my little angel, I do know that. But I haven't taken you for that reason." he admitted, speaking to you in English as he interlaced your fingers together.

Fucking bastard.

You shook your hand out of his.

"You can speak my language." you pointed, growing irritated with the man.

"Of course, a dutiful ruler needs to be educated of the world around him." he boasted proudly.

"What is your name?" you asked as politely as you could muster

"My people praise me as Ku'kul'kan but my enemies call me Namor." he tucked a strand of your hair behind your head as his eyes traced your figure, wandering down from your budding breast to your legs.

"Why did you take me? What is it you need?" you defied. He cupped your chin gently with his smooth thumb, inclining your head up to his.

You shrugged against him but felt another hand slithering to your lower back, his touch cementing your body in place. His brown irises dilated as his gaze softened.

"Well if it isn't obvious, I want you. I want you to rule beside me and light a match that will burn the world from underneath their inconspicuous feet. Be my queen and I'll give you all that which your heart could desire."

You shook your head frantically.

He's insane.

His eyebrows quirked at your lack of cooperation.

"I see it in your eyes, that spark of passion and resentment. You've been underestimated your whole life. Your life's work is meaningless to the people around you, you're not getting the recognition you deserve." you grunted, bothered by his assumptions. 

"You know nothing about me or my life.” you stated. 

“I hate to disappoint you my angel but you can either bend to my desire of your own will or we can do things my way.” he remarked as he traced his thumb over your lips, pressing a chaste kiss to them. You felt as if every inch of your body was set aflame at his touch. You reclined your head in disgust.

“St-” 

Your mouth betrayed you as it parted open to receive the soft ones of the God before you as his palms felt their way treacherously down your body to the back of your thighs and your nape. You felt your knees buckling together, the flesh of your upper thighs pressing together as you felt heat pulsating from between your legs. You bit back a moan of pleasure as his imposing form bent down to kneel before you. Your eyes widened as his lips pressed against your vee line. You saw a flash of green in his eyes as he looked up to you. You pressed your eyes tightly shut.

Suddenly you pushed against the invisible boundaries around you, stumbling backwards out of whatever spell Namor had put on you. You breathed out painfully. 

“Fuck you.” you whispered. 

“Oh?” he enquired, surprised at your incredible amount of resistance. 

She has the spirit of a warrior queen, he thought. I must bind her to me forever.

Namor arose, striding to you. In a single movement, he coiled his arm around your throat; putting some pressure down onto your windpipes as you clawed at his hand. 

He moved you easily against the wall rubbing his nose onto yours, turning his face toward your ear as he whispered:

“We’ll have to go for that second option then.”

Me tomé el día super laxo y subí una intro para el juego de azafatas. Me quedé muy bajoneada qué por haber tenido un día fatal en el trabajo el viernes, no alcancé a ir a la charla de la azafata de Emirates a la que me había apuntado la semana pasada. Espero que se vuelva a repetir en algún momento o encuentre alguna oportunidad similar. Anoche me fui a jugar a las mágics a lo de mis amigos y volvímos a las 6 de la mañana, lo que contribuyó a mi bajo rendimiento del sábado.

Se que unos días atrás hablé sobre tomarme descansos y permitirme no hacer nada en el medio tiempo de productividad, y si bien creo que el descanso es necesario, tengo mucho miedo que así sea como empiezo nuevamente a abandonar algo. Así que voy a buscar la forma de organizarme mejor para ser más constante. Algo que sea metódico y no tenga que improvisar todos los días.

Mi github refleja como arranqué mi proyecto de estudio y diseño de juegos con mucho entusiasmo y fui perdiendo ímpetu más hacia el final del mes. Quiero que setiembre sea más parejo día a día.

This post is for Saturday.

I took a super lax day and uploaded an introduction for the flight attendant game. I was very down because I had a terrible day at work on Friday, so I didn't make it to the Emirates flight attendant talk I had signed up for last week. I hope it happens again sometime or I find a similar opportunity. Last night I went to play magic at my friends' place and we got back at 6 in the morning, which contributed to my poor performance on Saturday.

I know that a few days ago I talked about taking breaks and allowing myself to do nothing in the middle of productivity time, and while I think that rest is necessary, I am very afraid that this is how I start to abandon something again. So I am going to look for a way to organize myself better to be more consistent. Something that is methodical and I don't have to improvise every day.

My github reflects how I started my game design and study project with a lot of enthusiasm and I lost momentum more towards the end of the month. I want September to be more even day by day.

Aaaah! Muchas gracias! Me encanta explorar las emociones de las personas, creo que por eso me anime a escribir sobre una throuple, me parecía que sería muy complicado emocionalmente y fue como "I sign up for that!"

Me encanta la idea de un romance en la época del muro, creo que el setting es perfecto para poder explorar el peso emocional al que se ven sujetos los personajes! Si necesitas un Beta Reader, estoy más que puesta!

Yo también tengo un romance trágico y LGBTQ+ planeado, pero en Alemania de la Seguna Guerra, y la verdad es que tiempo es lo que falta para poder escribir todo lo que quiero.

Sí, estaba de viaje! Casi no pude revisr mis mensajes ni nada por que me la pase de un lugar a otro como loca y luego de regreso tuve que terminar todos los pendientes del trabajo pero ya estamos de vuelta! I love the idea of a romance during the time of the Berlin Wall. I think the setting is perfect for exploring the emotional weight the characters are subjected to! If you need a Beta Reader, count me in!

I also have a tragic (LGBTQ+) romance planned, but set in World War II Germany, and honestly, time is what I need to write everything I want.

Yes! was on a trip! I could barely check my messages or anything because I was moving from one place to another like crazy, and then when I got back, I had to finish all the pending work, but we're back now! Officially, I'm wrapping up the first chapter, yeah, I'll officially be writing chapters now that I've seen the tremendous support you've given. It's going to be like a novel with some illustrations. I've taken a bit longer because I don't have anyone to help me with the English translation, all of you know how much I like to give my whole audience the chance to enjoy this AU beyond language barriers. That's why it's taken a bit longer than usual. Translating into English takes time, guys!

Marcus Miller - Tutu Revisited - LIVE

Marcus Miller - Tutu Revisited "Tutu" (86) ha sido uno de los álbumes de mayor éxito firmado por Miles Davis para la Warner. Lo curioso, en cuanto a los prolegómenos del álbum se refiere, es que iba a ser una colaboración del gran trompetista y mito del jazz con Prince, pero Miles abandonó la idea y llamó al bajista y productor Marcus Miller para que éste fuese su compañero de proyecto, el músico que compusiera y arreglase la mayor parte del repertorio y quien coprodujera el trabajo junto a Tommy Lipuma. Su título es un tributo a la figura del arzobispo Desmond Tutu y el álbum está orientado hacia la fusión del jazz con otros estilos predominantes a mediados de los 80' (r&b y funk, principalmente), utilizando sintetizadores, secuenciadores y batería eléctrica.  Veintitrés años después de su primera versión, Marcus decidió revisar el que ha sido uno de sus proyectos más valorados, para rescatar su esencia y plasmarla en un contexto actual.  La grabación se realizó en el Auditorio de Lyon, el 22 de diciembre de 2009. Para su consecución, Miller llamó al trompetista Christian Scott, un músico de Nueva Orleans que, con cuatro discos en el mercado, representa el futuro del jazz sobre las sólidas estructuras que en el pasado han dejado músicos como Miles Davis. Siguiendo con el apartado de colaboradores, destacar la presencia de Ronald Brunner Jr., el explosivo baterista que hemos escuchado en el pasado más reciente acompañando a músicos como Stanley Clarke o George Duke. En los teclados y procedente del grupo de Meshell Ndegeocello, Federico González Peña, al saxo Alex Han, descubierto por el propio Marcus en el Berklee College y como bajista y clarinetista el propio Marcus. Con todo lujo de detalles y, al margen de los dos CD's de audio, incluye en video aquel concierto de más de dos horas, así como un documental dedicado a Miles Davis.

"Tutu" (86) has been one of the most successful albums signed by Miles Davis for Warner. The funny thing, as far as the album’s prolegomenous are concerned, is that it was going to be a collaboration of the great trumpeter and jazz myth with Prince, but Miles abandoned the idea and called the bassist and producer Marcus Miller to be his project partner, the musician who composed and arranged most of the repertoire and who co-produced the work with Tommy Lipuma. Its title is a tribute to the figure of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the album is oriented towards the fusion of jazz with other predominant styles in the mid 80’s (r&b and funk, mainly), using synthesizers, sequencers and electric drums.   Twenty-three years after its first version, Marcus decided to review what has been one of his most valued projects, to rescue its essence and reflect it in a current context.   The recording was made at the Auditorium of Lyon on 22 December 2009. Miller called trumpeter Christian Scott, a musician from New Orleans who, with four albums on the market, represents the future of jazz on the solid structures that in the past have left musicians like Miles Davis. Continuing with the collaborators section, highlight the presence of Ronald Brunner Jr., the explosive drummer we have heard in the most recent past accompanying musicians such as Stanley Clarke or George Duke. Preparation of hallway signs

To decorate the hallway of the psychology department, we have prepared some posters rescuing photos from previous years of photography classes. I was excited about this project because I participated in the photography activity, so seeing the forgotten photos again has excited me and reminded me of how far I have come. Also, the hallway has turned out beautiful.

Para decorar el pasillo del departamento psicología, hemos preparado unos carteles rescatando las fotos de años anteriores de las clases de fotografía. Me ha ilusionado este proyecto porque participé en la actividad de fotografía así que volver a ver las fotos ya olvidadas me ha emocionado y recordado lo lejos que he llegado. Además, el pasillo ha quedado precioso.

En resumen

Empezamos con un estudio de caso de una chica, quien lleva aprendiendo programación hasta que tenia 11 anos y a ella le encanta. Su madre también piensa que la formación es imprescindible.

Por Iván Aramayo, el responsable de Algorithmics Donostia, cerca de 200 niños han tenido una oportunidad como la de la chica protagonizando este articulo - hacer primer contacto con la programación.

Los alumnos han colaborado en un proyecto concreto con Vicomtech como parte de la formación.

La Ikastola Axular (y no esta claro si Algorithmics Donostia sea parte de este colegio o no, pero vamos a asumir) lleva una década ofreciendo este tipo de formación y en el curso que viene, se sumara un centro de formación ingles, de San Sebastián.

El Departamento de Educación explica que programación esta en el currículum de educación secundaria y niveles mas altos, sin embargo, las detallas son especificas de cada centro. Y en la educación primaria, no es obligatorio, pero unos centros la ofrecerán.

La intención del autor

En mi opinión, la intención del autor es destacar y dar publicidad a la importancia de la programación. En primer lugar, utiliza a una chica con entusiasmo por la asignatura para realiza un angulo humano, porque sin ella, puede ser un asunto muy seco. De ahí, gana la opinión de su madre - un punto de vista adulto, que es importante para dar peso a todo esto - y, luego, expertos. Y todas las opiniones solo sirven para mostrar las ventajas de la formación de programación. Ni hay un solo palabra de o las desventajas o otras asignaturas que también pueden servir a los alumnos en otras maneras. Claro que es un articulo corto, no es un ensayo, así que el espacio es limitado, no obstante, la falta de critica hace que parezca un anuncio. Al final, parecería que todos los alumnos en España pueden y deberían intentar la programación y que siempre es una experiencia positiva. No hay cifras ni otras voces para espaldar la opinión del autor.

Nathanahel Ruben Cano Monge better known as Natanael Cano is a singer-songwriter of corridos tumbados from Mexico.

Biography

He was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, on March 27, 2001. At the age of nine, he began playing the guitar for his family, inspired by his favorite singer, Ariel Camacho he has said in an interview that he learned to play guitar from tutorials from youtube. Then it was in ten grade that he left the school to make a musical career.

After he left his school and also his home, he started living in Tijuana, Baja California and in 2018 when he has nineteen years old he signed with Five Music label with which recorded his first five song, being "El de los lentes gucci" the song that stood out, thus beginning the genre of “corridos tumbados”, then the next year in 2019 he signed with La R Records to publish his first album titled “Todo es diferente” giving him the fame he was looking for as a teenager, achieving big hits on his album, such as “Soy el diablo” or “ El de la codeina”. Months later signed with Rancho Humilde label, which was with this label that he could go on with his career as musician, because they give him his first paycheck and a home in Los Angeles, and it was in that house that he meet another singer called “Junior H” and they become a very good friends recording many songs together.

The 'sustainable' megaproject of Aragon: 4.3 km of cable car in a mountain valley on its way to protection

A great sustainable project for some. An environmental disaster and investment destined for failure for others. The already old desire for Aragon to have the biggest skiable domain in Spain, and one of the biggest in the world, entails the construction of a cable car of 4.3 km (2.6 miles) through a mountain valley on its way to being a protected natural space. That, alongside the non-stop warnings on the progressive reduction in the amount of snowfall, awakens many environmental doubts around the project.

The obstacles, however, don't stop the determination of the government (centre-left and right wing), who are clinging to the hope of internationalizing snow tourism in Aragon and compete with the big alpine stations. They also base this on the fact that this sector makes up 7% of Aragon's GDP and employs arounds 14000 people.

On this basis, on the 25th of January, the Aragonese Consejo de Gobierno gave the green light to the colaboration agreement ratified by the autonomic executive, the Diputación Provincial de Huesca (DPH), Aramón (group collectively owned by the Aragonese Government and Ibercaja by 50% each, and who controls most of the ski stations in the region), Formigal, and the Valle de Astún ski station. The final agreement will be signed on the 14th of February, and the DPH will be the one to develop the investment.

Podemos and Chunta Aragonesista (who form part of the 4 governing parties of Aragon, alongside PSOE and Partido Aragonés- PAR) have shown opposition to this agreement.

More than 26 million euros of the European funds to build the biggest skiable domain in Spain

The project consists of the union between the Tena and Aragón valleys, which entails, on one side, the union between the Astún and Formigal ski stations, and on the other, the union between Astún and Candanchú. In total, around 300 km of snow, the total amount of the current capacity, since in theory, they assure that no new ski stations will be built. It would become the 10th biggest skiable domain in the world and would lead the ranking in Spain

It's not a novel objective. In 2013, with PP ["Popular Party", the right-wing party] and PAR in the government coalition, the administrative process for the Declaración de Interés General [General Interest Declaration] project was started.

After years of slumber, it's now under way thanks to the concession of 33.7 millions of euros to the Aragonese government for the development of five Sustainable Touristic Plans. They are wholly financed by the Next Generation EU funds of the Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience. The help requisites require that the project be finished by 2025.

From the total amount, the biggest cut will be given to this union of ski stations (26.4 million euros). And it's calculated that 8 million more will be given from the autonimical government's pockets.

The protection of Canal Roya

Certainly, the biggest controversy around the project is the 4.3 km cable car which will cross the Canal Roya valley to join Astún and Formigal. It will take 14 minutes to cross and it will transport 2400 people each hour.

The controversy arose because in 2006 (with PSOE [socialist centre-left] and PAR in the government) decreed the start of the approval procedure for a Natural Resources Order Plan in the Aragon and Tena valleys, which would entail, among others, Canal Roya.

This planning [...] textually states: "During the processing of this plan, no acts that supose an appreciable transformation of the biological and physical reality will be allowed to be carried out, that could make it impossible or significantly hinder the achievements of its objectives."

Furthermore, it adds that "until the final approval of the Natural Resources Order Plan, no authorizations, licenses or concessions will be able to be carried out, without a favorable report from the Environmental Department"

The development of the Natural Resources Order Plan requires the creation of a consultive council. And that was what happened. In that same legislature and the next (2007-2011, with PSOE and PAR once again), the project (slowly) continued, with public involvement.

Ecologist groups think that the Government will have to return the funds and will ask Brussels for help accelerating its protection.

The five national ecologist organizations (Amigos de la Tierra, Ecologistas en Acción, Greenpeace, SEO/BirdLife and WWF) have positioned themselves completely against the station union. In the coming months they will try to put pressure in Brussels so the development of the Natural Resources Order Plan is sped up, and that way avoid that the creation of this skiable domain.

They uphold that "it's disguised as sustainable tourism, but it doesn't comply with the principle of 'Do No Significant Harm'. This is a condition established by the EU for European fund allocation, that makes people justify that the financed projects won't negatively impact any of the six environmental objectives defined by the EU"

Is there anything left for the snow business?

Apart from the six already mentioned, which includes the creation of the bigger skiable domain, Aragon will manage a few other Sustainable Tourism Plans from 2021. In total, around ten touristic projects which entail over 63 million euros. Of those, 53 million (over 84%) will go to snow tourism.

A complete bet on this sector, which seems to clash with the scientific warnings of the increasing snow scarcity.

This is what ecologist organizations are clinging to. In the statement already mentioned they also state that the union of stations "should not be carried out due to its negative environmental impact. But also because it would continue an unsustainable development model. A bet that doesn't generate quality work positions and that is destined to dissapear due to meteorological conditions caused by climate change"

In this same line, Paco Iturbe, representative of the Plataforma en Defensa de las Montañas de Aragón [Platform for the Defense of the Mountains of Aragon], explains that the Pyreenean valley of Canal Roya is "a sanctuary" because of its flora and fauna: "It's onoe of the only places in the Pyrenees which is unspoiled. Destroying it is like losing one of the identity marks of Aragon. On top of that, for nothing, just for an activity which will be unsustainable in 10 or 20 years tops.
