🐚 परमा एकादशी व्रत कथा - Parama Ekadashi Vrat Katha

Celebrate Satyanarayan Puja at Home with Ease
Celebrate Satyanarayan Puja at home with ease. Discover helpful tips for setting up, performing rituals, and inviting blessings. Join the celebration today!
Celebrating Satyanarayan Puja at home is a beautiful way to invite blessings, peace, and prosperity into your life. Whether you are performing the puja for the first time or as part of a regular ritual, it can be made simple and meaningful. Here’s a guide to celebrate Satyanarayan Puja at home with ease:
1. Choose an Auspicious Day
Traditionally, Satyanarayan Puja vidhi is performed on full moon days (Purnima) or during special occasions like Ekadashi, Diwali, or other auspicious days.
You can choose any day that feels right for you and your family. Ideally, it should be a day of significance or a day when you can dedicate time to the ritual.
2. Create a Sacred Space
Clean your home: Begin by cleaning your house, especially the area where you’ll perform the puja. This helps create a calm and sacred environment.
Set up the puja area: Find a quiet, clean space where you can place the idol or picture of Lord Satyanarayan (Lord Vishnu). A small table or platform is ideal for the setup.
Decorate the space: You can add flowers, rangoli, or lights around the puja area to create a festive atmosphere.
3. Gather Puja Essentials
Here’s a simple list of items you'll need for Satyanarayan Puja:
Lord Vishnu’s idol or picture (Satyanarayan form)
Fresh flowers (for offerings)
Incense sticks (agarbatti) for purifying the space
Ghee or oil lamp (diya) for lighting
Coconut (to be offered)
Kalash (water pot) with mango leaves and coconut on top
Fruits, sweets, and other offerings (like betel leaves and nuts)
Puja thali (plate) with kumkum (vermilion), rice, turmeric, and a small container of water
Red or yellow thread to tie around the coconut (optional)
4. Dress in Traditional Clothes
Wearing clean and traditional clothes during the puja adds to the sanctity of the ceremony. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, but simple traditional attire like a saree for women or a kurta for men is ideal.
5. Perform the Satyanarayan Puja
Here’s how you can perform the puja easily at home:
Step-by-Step Puja Procedure:
Start with Sankalp (Resolution):
Stand in front of the Lord Vishnu idol or picture and mentally resolve (Sankalp) to perform the puja with devotion and sincerity.
You can say the mantra: "Om Shri Satyanarayanaya Namah."
Light the Diya and Incense:
Light the lamp (diya) and incense sticks. This purifies the surroundings and sets the right atmosphere for the puja.
Offer Water and Flowers:
Take a small cup of water in your hand and offer it to the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu.
Place fresh flowers at the feet of the Lord as a mark of respect.
Recite the Satyanarayan Katha (Story):
The most important part of the puja is the recitation of the Satyanarayan Katha. You can either read it aloud or listen to a recorded version.
The story is about King Trilochan, who performed the Satyanarayan Puja and received divine blessings. It emphasizes the importance of truth, devotion, and the grace of Lord Vishnu.
Offer Prayers and Offerings:
Offer fruits, sweets, and other offerings like coconut and betel leaves.
You can chant the following mantra while offering the items:
"Om Shri Satyanarayanaya Namah."
Keep the offerings on a plate or thali.
Perform Aarti:
After the katha, perform the aarti by waving the lit lamp in front of the Lord's idol while chanting the aarti.
The aarti can be sung aloud, or you can play a recorded version if you're not familiar with it.
Conclude with Gratitude:
Thank Lord Vishnu for His blessings and express your devotion.
Conclude the puja with the mantra: "Namah Satya Narayanaya."
Distribute Prasadam:
After the puja is complete, distribute the prasadam (food offerings) to everyone in the family.
You can share the coconut, fruits, and sweets as a mark of the Lord’s blessings.
6. Keep the Atmosphere Calm and Joyful
Play devotional music softly in the background to create a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.
Encourage everyone to focus and participate with full devotion. The more sincere and peaceful the puja, the more powerful the blessings.
7. Celebrate with Family and Friends
Satyanarayan Puja vidhi is a family ritual. Invite family members and close friends to join the celebration.
Share the significance of the puja with them, and enjoy a meal together after the puja.
Additional Tips for a Successful Puja:
Consistency is key: You can perform Satyanarayan Puja monthly or on special occasions to receive ongoing blessings.
Mindful offerings: While offering items to Lord Vishnu, do it with love and devotion, not as a mere ritual.
Keep the space sacred: Avoid distractions during the puja. This allows the energy
Satyanarayan Puja is simple to perform at home and can bring immense peace, joy, and prosperity into your life. By setting up a serene space, offering your sincere prayers, and following the puja steps with devotion, you can create a meaningful and special experience for yourself and your family.

What Are the Rituals and Practices for Worshiping Vishnu?
Lord Vishnu, revered as the preserver and protector of the universe in Hinduism, is worshipped through various rituals and practices that hold deep spiritual significance. Daily worship, or "puja," forms the cornerstone of these devotional practices. Devotees typically perform these rituals at home using a lord Vishnu brass idol as the focal point.
The worship begins with Abhishekam (bathing the idol), where water, milk, and other sacred substances are poured over the Vishnu brass idol to symbolize the cleansing of the soul. This is followed by Alankaram (decoration), adorning the idol with fresh flowers and new clothes, often personalized with favorite accessories.
Naivedyam (offering food) is a vital part of the ritual, where devotees offer fruits, sweets, and traditional dishes to Vishnu. The ritual concludes with Aarti (waving of lights), symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the presence of divine light.
Chanting mantras like "Om Namo Narayanaya" and reading sacred texts such as the Bhagavad Gita deepen the spiritual connection. During festivals like Vaikuntha Ekadashi and Janmashtami, these practices are performed more elaborately, enhancing the spiritual ambiance. Incorporating a lord Vishnu brass statue into these rituals fosters a sense of spiritual growth and divine protection.

Fast story of Putrada Ekadashi
Lord Krishna himself had told the importance of Putrada Ekadashi to Dharmaraj Yudhishthir. According to the legend, in a city, there lived a king named Suketuman, whose wife's name was Shaivya. The king and queen had no children, about which he was always worried. He was always worried about who would take over his throne after that who would perform his last rites, Shraddha, Pind Daan, etc. after his death who would liberate him, and who would satisfy his ancestors. Just thinking about all this, the king started falling ill.
Once the king went out to visit the forest and started seeing the beauty of nature, there he saw how deer, peacocks, and other animals and birds were enjoying life with their wives and children. Seeing this he became even more disturbed. He started thinking that despite doing so many good deeds, I was childless. Then the king felt thirsty and started wandering here and there in search of water. While wandering, his eyes fell on the hermitage of sages built on the banks of a river. Being a devotee, the king went there and paid obeisance to all the sages. Seeing the simple nature of the king, all the sages were extremely pleased with him and asked him to ask for a boon. To which the king replied, “O God! By the grace of God and you Saint Mahatmas, I have everything, only I have no children, due to which my life is meaningless.”
Hearing this the sage said, “King! God himself has sent you here today with a special blessing on you. Today is Putrada Ekadashi and you should fast on this Ekadashi with full devotion. By doing this you will get a son. Hearing this from the sage, the king observed that fast and according to the rules Break the fast on the day of Dashashi. After a few days, the queen became pregnant and gave birth to a bright and successful son and finally, the king attained salvation. In this way the importance of this fast increased manifold.

Putrada Ekadashi to get the blessings of Lord Vishnu
On the day of Putrada Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu should be anointed by pouring milk in the Dakshinavarti conch. Also, Lord Vishnu should be garlanded with yellow flowers, and applying sandalwood tilak on the forehead of Shri Hari is especially fruitful. It is believed that by doing this, Lord Vishnu can be pleased quickly and his special blessings can be obtained.

DAY 5613
Jalsa, Mumbai June 30/July 1, 2023 Fri/Sat 11:56 AM
🪔 .. July 01 .. birthday love and greetings to Ef Alla Ukhina from Russia 🇷🇺 .. Ef Pralhad Mukundrao Thorwate from Nanded .. and .. Ef Vidya Advitiya .. ❤️🙏🏻🚩
.. and .. wishes to Ef Lakshmi Akka .. for her Wedding Anniversary on July 01st ..
..
And .. July 01 .. is National Doctors' Day .. 🩺
.. the rain it raineth every day .. and brings succour to the parched land after all these months of the warm weather and the cause for heat strokes that was suffered by several .. prayers .. 🙏 ..
and the Ashadi Ekadashi pooja and aarti conducted in Sion, at the home temple of RoVin my dear friends and music aficionados .. a blessing ever .. and the humble surroundings .. and the love and care by them that visit ..
It is the simple things in life that remain .. and this shall ever remain ..
.. for hours they that live around in the vicinity waited for the ‘aarti’ to be done .. and such a privilege and an honour to have been given this opportunity .. truly blessed ..
and late into the night to meet all and to spend time with some of the future world genius minds .. who educate me on AI and what lies in store for us all .. and how gradually our minds shall be overtaken , if it isn’t already, by AI and the technology of the future .. such innovative ideas .. exciting but frightening at the same time ..
Where exactly are we going ..
My parents were bewildered by the mobile .. I am stunned by AI .. what will the grandchildren face and be amazed by .. !!!??
The rain it raineth .. every day .. and the World it changeth every day .. and ne’er shall there be a change of course !!
And as you drive away it all simulates ..
.. the rain .. the car .. the thoughts and the music on the Bluetooth ..
My love
Amitabh Bachchan

JHULAN UTSAV
The Jhulan Festival is celebrated in the month of Shravana (August), from the eleventh day of the bright fortnight (Ekadashi) to the full-moon day (Purnima).
.
This festival is celebrated to commemorate the childhood pastimes of Sri Krishna with His friends, the young cowherd boys and girls, swinging underneath the trees.
.
It is a most pleasing and satisfying festival, with the swings often highly decorated with forest creepers, Jasmine (Malati) that has newly blossomed in the season, and streamers of garlands.
.
Sometimes they use a fine spray of rose water and direct it toward a Divine couple of Radha and Krishna on Their swing.
.
On the last day of the Jhulan, on the Purnima (full moon) comes Lord Balarama’s appearance day festival.
.
HARE KRISHNA MANDIR
Every day the Deities of Sri Sri Radha Madhav are adorned with various jewellery and gently swayed on a swing decorated profusely with flowers.
.
The main temple hall is decorated beautifully with flowers and festoons. The Deities of Sri Madhav and Srimati Radha Rani are adorned in brilliance and placed in a Jhulan (swing) decorated with a variety of beautiful flowers.
.
A special arati is offered to the Deities accompanied by sweet kirtans sung by devotees. After the arati, devotees get an opportunity to sway the swing and offer direct personal service to Their Lordships.
.
The celebrations conclude with the Deities entering the shayana room to take a rest. Here is an opportunity for you to serve the Divine Couple and receive Their blessings.
