So a run down I am someone who smokes a lot of things and a bunch of products feel different. So here is my quick check of my personal experiences.

Smoking styles

So there are two ways that people commonly use Direct to Lung (DL) where you are typically breathing straight in (think inhaler) an and Mouth to Lung smokers where you briefly keep the smoke in your mouth before inhaling (MtL). I will mention it if relent but if I don't it means both smoking styles are used.

Puff VS Draw

Puffing is taking quick hits bringing only a little bit of smoke into your mouth at a time typically multiple times in a row.

Draws are the longer breaths that smokers will use to get more smoke in.

Nicotine Products

Nicotine itself makes a lot of people fell relaxed but the actual drug itself can increase stress levels. A lot of people who smoke though started as the only way to take a break at work. A lot of people use it as a self soothing tool. One really cool thing is if you have to much nicotine you can develop a head ache (I did my first time trying it).

-Cigarettes'

They fall into 5 different categories of how they feel and taste.

Tar Forward: These are really bitter really heavy on tar taste, the kind of taste you get from artificial charcoal brick smoke. The smoke feels like the temperature of walking past a fully on space heater. The smoke is very heavy and coats everything in it the taste will stay in your mouth for hours and often times people who smell really heavily of cigarette smoke will smoke one of these. These are going to be anything black labeled. Marlboros and Camels all do this except their lights and slims. Most people who smoke these are DL smokers.

Leaf Forward: These are ones where you get a lot more Tabaco flavor which tastes like eating green tea leaves. The smoke is at a lower temp and tends to not cling to you as much. These are going to be American Spirits and Newports.

Lights: Meant to taste like nothing but have just a light smoke taste to them like the kind of smoke you get right after you blow out a candle. Cold smoke and doesn't leave much behind. These are labeled lights and every brand has one.

Menthol: They taste like hot minty tooth paste. The smoke chills your lungs if you have ever used something like a vics rub it's that kind of sensation. Lots of brands have these always in a green package. People who smoke these are MtL smokers.

Flavored: Artificial flavoring always fruit the most common being grape taste like burnt lightly flavored candy. A lot of the fruit flavors also have Menthol so they will also have a slight minty taste and have the same smoke feel.

-Cigars

This tastes like bitter black tea. The smoke is about the warmth of a hot lamp (bread they would bring to you at a restaurant). The smoke lingers but is a little more fragrant. Cigar smokers tend not to bring the smoke into their lungs and keep it in their mouths.

-Hookah

A lot of people puff on the hoses on the corners of their mouths.

Tabaco: A lot of flavor the smoke is very sweet and the Tabaco is typically dried with fruit that lend the flavor. The smoke has no heat and is cooled by water on the way to your mouth. The smell of this though will cling to you for days.

eHookah: See vape bellow the only difference is that the vapor is water cooled.

Hash: Tastes a lot like burnt green tea and is super intense. The smoke is cold but feels almost sticky.

-Vape

For all of these the smoke is a water vaper saturated with glycerin so it feels heavy. Flavors are typically what they say on the tin. Anything with menthol the vapor will have a cooling effect.

Mods: These are the big devices that you would see people making sick clouds on. The temp is around that of warm milk but will get hotter with multiple pulls in a row.

Pods: These are your Juuls. There is a lot less vapor created by these and the temp stays consistent otherwise they are a lot a like.

-Weed

Disclaimer: I live in a state where it is legal. I also don't tend to smoke because I dislike the lingering smell but I will give you knowledge from the type of smoking I have done

Weed is super complex in flavor but typically has a green tea, bitter herb (like thyme or tarragon), and fresh grass kind of flavor. All of the ways of smoking it will have that same kind of flavor.

Joint: It's rolled in paper or hemp. You are getting a pretty raw weed flavor. Smoke temps comparable to a cigarette. They can have a paper filter at one end for a cleaner smoke otherwise they get a little ashy.

Lots of smokers who smoke for flavor will hold smoke in their mouths for a while before letting it out.

People will blow smoke out their nose it stings a little bit.

Blowing smoke out your teeth when your angry is common.

Smoking causes flehm build up so you will see smokers spitting a lot.
