So, here’s all the Hatties I have down so far for the Bloodborne au. Here’s some brief descriptions of what I have in mind for them under the cut ‘cause it got too long. (Thomas is @askthehatboxghost‘s, Horatio is @ask-the-hatbox-ghost‘s, Randall is @theheadlessgroom‘s, and The Shadow (Hatty) is @theshadowofthechateau‘s)

Thomas Gracey: Thomas Gracey, following in his mother’s side of the family’s heritage after the death of his father, joined the Healing Church of Yharnam early in age. He managed to make it to the elite delegation, the Choir. He serves as the guardian and main scholar of the laboratory in Bygenwerth. Thomas has in his possession the Augur of Ebrietas, which allows him to summon ethereal tentacles for defense as well as a multitude of other spells contained in his journal. Thomas dislikes using guns and practical weapons, viewing them as a hassle and unnecessarily brutal.

Horatio Topper: A pure blood Yharnamite, Horatio admittedly acts like he isn’t in an apocalypse. But an apocalypse never mattered to him - there’s always a proper time for hats after all, so he goes around selling homemade hats to forlorn hunters (or beasts if a werewolf wants one and doesn’t try to eat his face off). He’s simply living life, selling and making hats. Horatio has a threaded cane but rarely uses it, due to him needing it to walk on account of a bum leg. However he often uses his rifle if ever pressured and can’t flee which shoots abnormally powerful quicksilver bullets thanks to his seemingly endless supply of bone marrow ash and blood tinge. (Carries 40 bullets rather than the usual 20 for most hunters)

Randall Pace: Randall is the husband of a rather successful and efficient crow hunter (Emily the Crow) and owns a haberdashery that doubles as a inn specifically for hunters. He wants to help anyway he can in the Hunt; providing lodging and his own services are a sure fire way of accomplishing this goal. Admittedly new to hunting and going with his wife a majority of the time, he still believes he’ll be able to go on his own eventually. He carries a threaded cane and Evelyn from his wife’s travels through Yharnam’s surrounding territories (that he really doesn’t know how to use fantastically (He’s trying)). Therefore he resorts to his personal brass knuckles occasionally. He has a belt that can hold an abnormal 30 blood vials compared to the normal 20 stock.

The Shadow of Cainhurst: Many people debate on who or what exactly the Shadow is. It isn’t a Great One, but its not entirely beast and many debate if it was ever human in the first place. All they know is it has an adulation with Madame Alma Vileblood, making it impossible to reach the sobbing widow. And it can speak! That’s new. It has control of a majority of Cainhurst Castle, including the ghosts and specters inside leftover from the executioners’ reign of terror. The Shadow can summon snakes from it’s shadowy body which are heavily venomous. These snakes are not solid beings, making it possible for them to go through walls and bite unsuspecting hunters. It can summon a shadowy scythe that gives both physical and psychological damage.

The Composer of Symphonies: The Composer is a lesser Great One from before the murder of Kosm. He was created originally to be a hunchman of sorts to Kos, but after Her death by the old hunters he was reduced to a being without purpose other than to avenge her death. He therefore despises hunters with a powerful malice, and aims to bring them all a living hell. The Composer lurks in Old Yharnam and Yahar'gul, often in churches, especially those with surviving musical instruments. He tends to wear human clothes, mostly because he enjoys the texture but he also wants to seem more human or beast-like to trick hunters into engaging him. Eventually, the lesser One is bound by Sinclair the Conductor and kept as a companion of sorts. The Composer can easily manipulate his surroundings, creating a mirror world to better confuse his opponents. He often manipulates and puts his victims through grueling mental torture to weaken them before killing them and using their remains to make new instruments for his collection.

Just a bunch of things I imagine Rodrigo De Souza doing between the end of Season 4 and the start of a hypothetical Season 5 for Mozart in the Jungle!

►Shortly after taking the job conducting the New York Symphony, he sent his pet bird, Egor back home to be released. Then, shortly after he was fired, he returned to Mexico and took a long, spiritual hike in the rainforest to visit his ol' pal Egor in the wild. Egor leaves him a new feather for his hair!

►While home, he conducts his old school's youth orchestra. Entering them into and even winning multiple big league competitions all over the world, conducting all those kids to great success! While also dealing with all his unchecked feelings over Maestro Rivera.

►Later, he spent the better half of a year in Japan making peace with the group of fanatics who thought the real Rodrigo died a long time ago and that he was just some imposter taking his place. He stays here just long enough for his hair to grow long again. He even let the group of fanatics cut it however they want before he goes. It looks pretty good! They're all on good terms now.

►One of his composer friends turned film director, made their directorial debut working on a black and white monster movie. They invited him to come star in the film. It was a huge success and even spun off into other films. He gave every last cent he made from the movies in large, unexpected deposits to both the NY and Mexico City youth orchestras.

►After this, he spent his time hopping from city to city sleeping wherever and busking until his fingers bled. Sometimes joining in with other buskers he happens on along the way. His music and reputation draw in large crowds. He lets whatever musicians he's joining in with keep all the money from the crowds he pulls. People in the audience start to film these random appearances of his on their phones and upload the performances to the internet. This is the only way all his NY Symphony pals can check in with him. He still hasn't got a phone and he's still all over the place so every time a new video of him shows up online everyone from the NY symphony is like "Oh, hey! We got a new one!" and they all watch together.

►Somewhere in New York, Hai Lai is taking blind auditions for a violin soloist for a piece she is putting together. No one seems to be doing the trick. Eventually, one player from behind the curtain draws her in like no other. Yep. This is definitely the one! They got the job on the spot. No question. The musician steps out from behind the curtain. It's Rodrigo! They will sort out all their old qualms with each other later. For now, they are just really happy to see each other again! Hailey never would have gone this long without talking to him but shortly after he was fired he was gone and he's not exactly the easiest guy to get ahold of.

There we go Prime Video. I've set it all up for you. I'd gladly pay for a whole year's worth of Prime just to have the opportunity to binge-watch a fifth season of Mozart in the Jungle in a single day.

I read this post and I thought to myself, “This totally fits the Bloodborne trio.” So here’s that stupid BB au I should eventually rp or illustrate slightly. (Love me some gross eldritch horror and blood splattering everywhere with Dracula vibes included for good measure)

I learned there was a blood lake in Bloodborne. And I watched a few reaction videos of one of the bosses, The One Reborn, who is the most disgusting boss I have ever seen so I drew the trio reacting to it near the top. And apparently the DLC brought in a cross bow so Sin had a bit of a run in with an insane hunter with one with that one in the corner. And finally, Central Yharnam in a nutshell. Help, I got addicted to that Bloodborne au and I can’t stop. won’t stop.

Anyway, I drew up Bloodborne!Randall (@theheadlessgroom) (’cause I love this awkward outsider) interacting with the douche who is Bloodborne!Egore, or The Composer. Honestly some strong Lovecraft vibes are in Bloodborne, so I gave Composer a Cthulhu mouth but still applied E’s demon attributes (ie the mismatching demon horns, his three eyes, etc).
