This one was fun to design!

Originally I was going for more of a fox body, but then I thought 'a deer would be pretty neat too!', so a fox-like deer it is.

One thing I definetly wanted to keep from the original was the lead ears and tail. It's such a neat design detail. The color pallette was nice too, but I was going off from what I remember rather than an actual refference (for this series I go in without refferences to be more creative), so the colors ended up darker than the actual pokemon. I think I'll probably need to go back and revise that? It doesnt look very 'pokemon', more just a creature in my artstyle. I also definetly had the 'leaf' aspect better down in the first picture.

Another thing I was sure of, is that I wanted to include a refference to the 'Mossy rock' that was once part of the evolution method. So moss collar fur.

There are some other things, like the hooves, the multiple bug eyes, the leafs on top of the head (og leafeons head thingy never really made sense to me) and stuff like that. I'm very tired right now. Should probably write this in the morning.

I wanted to stray a bit from the 'cute creature' and go more into 'slightly unsettling, but still enadearing in a way' with this one. Which is gonna be a bit of a counterpart to Glaceon (which will lean into a more cute like vibe). When I finish up Glaceon, it's gonna be easier to explain.

Me and my friends were ranking Eeveelutions so I had a crack at redesigning the ones that ranked the lowest for me. I believe in chubby Leafeon.

Part 6 (because I said so) of redesigning Eeveelutions.

This time, it's design 2 for Flareon!

Flareon is one of the few that is giving me the most trouble, but I'm slowly settling on something I like. (More info under cut).

So, what changed, what didnt?

First of all, the fire looks way better, that was bothering me so much last time.

I made some small changes, like removing the ear fluff (which was visually just a bit too much) and changing the 'boot' design on the legs (which as of writing this, have kinda changed again. They're still a work in progress).

However, the biggest change is probably the mane and tail. I changed the mane from a random ball of fluff to a slight star shape. It still looks fluffy, but isn't as cluttered and all over the place. The tail also changed from a sort of lion tail to a non-specific tail shape. It works a lot better with the fire idea I had. The lion tail also just wasnt working with the design.

Generally, this Flareon looks a lot sleeker but scruffier than the previous one, and I like that.

As for the fire, I wanted to make the mane look more like a fireball when set ablaze. Like OG Flareons tail. As for this Flareons tail, it's now a blazing rod of fire instead of this weird 'candle' look the previous one had.

Lore/Pokedex entries are still in the works.

Eeveelution Shiny Redesigns!

We can all agree that some eeveelutions have bad shinies. So I remade them, hope you like them ^^

Jolteon:

I personally don't like shiny Jolteon. So, I gave it Flareon's orange. While keeping the white spike fur (as well as using it for the ears).

Vaporeon:

You can probably see the theme here. I gave each redesign the color scheme of an eeveelution introduced alongside them. So while I don't mind Vaporeon's shiny, it just felt wrong to change some. Like the ogs are practically triplets. You can't just change two. Also, I couldn't decide if I liked the light blue or dark teal for the fin...thing.

Flareon:

As expected, Vaporeon's color scheme. Though, anything is better than the original.

Espeon:

I personally don't like shiny Espeon. I'll admit it looks good in some cases, like that one card, but I still don't really like it. This shiny is actually based on one I made in 8th grade. The blue eyes and gem are just beautiful.

Umbreon:

Ok, I don't dislike Umbreon's shiny. But like I said, Espeon and Umbreon are twins. You can't change one and not the other. I decided on pink to reference Espeon, and purple eyes cause pink and purple are my favorite colors.

Glaceon:

Made Glaceon more of a ice blue color. And the green accents are a reference to Leafeon. And silver was added cause it looked cool. Though I think the navy blue on the original was good too.

Leafeon:

When it comes to shiny Leafeon, many redesign it as an autumn theme. But not me! The first one I also based on the one I made in 8th grade. Making it winter themed and a reference to Glaceon. And since I'm a sucker for cherry blossoms, I made a cherry blossom themed one for Leafeon.

And that's all. Shiny Sylveon is perfect the way it is. So that's why it isn't included here.

Glaceon shiny redesign! I thought the original was juuust a bit to subtle, so I made that but just… MORE. And then a more original blue ice glaceon. I can’t decide which I like better.
