on the field, Tanner is a bright, confident and competent player, but off the field he is incredibly clumsy

is always finding himself in uncomfortable/awkward situations

is signed up for almost every sport that he can be but the only one he really enjoys is Soccer (partially due to how supportive the team is)

wants to quit but also doesn’t want to disappoint his dad

honestly he’s rather be doing dance with his sister than anymore sports but was shot down by his dad when he brought it up the one time

eventually she realizes she’s a girl but she doesn’t know how to bring it up to her dad- or even if she should at all given his past history reagarding Tanner’s interest in more feminine things

And this, the cartoon car chase reaches its conclusion! This was a fun experiment recreating one of the coolest sequences in dreamworks history but with classic CN stars.

Don’t expect anything more for a while, though. My wrist can only take so much pressure. Plus, there’s college and all that.

The officer looked at the man, who looked like he had just rolled out of bed, and she narrows her eyes, “As I had told you, sir, Mister Taylor asked for no visitors unless family. And are you related to Missus Taylor or Oliver?” The question was a mock because she knew the answer.

So, with a bite of a tongue Price relented, “Who’s your supervisor?”

“He’s out of office.”

“Fuckin- course he is. Where’s Riley?”

“Mister Riley is currently in questioning.”

Price frowned, “But you already questioned him.”

The officer shrugged, “Our lead detective thought it best to do a second round.”

“Then I want to speak to your lead detective.”

“You and everyone else, take a ticket.”

To say your hands were shaking would be an understatement, you had been sitting in Johnny’s car for a close to an hour and so far you probably lost half your body weight in tears. It seemed unreal, there was no way it was actually reality, after all you had been through. It was just….

You jolt when someone knocks on the glass window, only to see Eliza by the door and you let out breath, quickly getting out of the car and into her arms.

“T-they still have Simon in questioning and-and he’s not answering my calls-“

“I know, John’s taking care of it. Oh honey,” her voice was a bit rasped and she looks you over, “You look like a mess.”

Your chest heaves for air as you ramble to her, telling her about how they took you all to the station at four in the morning and how everything was working against your favor. You both sat on the curb outside, as Johnny’s car was an incubator, her arm loosely wrapped around your shoulders and hands holding the coffee she had gotten you.

“Johnny went-Johnny went to be with Ollie, they…they wouldn’t let me see him.”

Eliza scoffs at that, “Bastards. Keeping a child from his mother.”

In hindsight it wasn’t best idea.

However, it did do its job. What job was that? Who knew.

“Uh oh,” Ollie whispered from the other side of the conference table, looking to his biological father (who was currently doubled over while clutching his nose), “You made uncle soap maaad.”

“You fucking bitch!” Caleb practically screamed, “I’ll have your job!”

Johnny stood perfectly still for a moment, as if he wasn’t sure if he had just imagined he punched him or if it was reality and he then snapped into the situation, “Ah please, as i’ you go’ a job tha’s all high n mighty.”

It took about a minute before an officer came back in to check on everything, and thanks to a somewhat threatening stare Caleb had just said he got a bloody nose and everything was alright.

“Oliver, come on. We’re leaving.”

“But I don wanna go.”

With a tug and hoist Oliver was being carried on Caleb’s side, “Didn’t ask we have a flight to catch.”

“For the fucking millionth time she had Oliver when I met her.”

“According to these files Oliver was with his father.”

“Bullshit!!!” Simon snipped back, his anger growing with each second. Every file, data bank, Facebook post made it seem like Oliver lived with Caleb until he went ‘missing’ two weeks ago. “Look at the bank statements why would she pay insurance for a child she doesn’t even have?”

The detective sighed, “We did, Mister Riley, she’s not paying for any child’s health insurance.”

This was insane.

“Mister Riley, I am going to ask one final time: did you help Missus Taylor take her son?”

With a glare Simon leaned forward on the table, “Didn’t fucking take him, because he’s ’een here wit us for ‘is entire life.”

“Caleb?” You slowly move to stand up as you watch your ex husband carry your son out of the station, and within a millisecond your blood was cold, “Oliver?”

“Mommy!” The boy practically screeched at the sight of you, trying to pry himself away from the man’s grasp, “Mommy I don’t wanna go!”

Before you had the chance to get to the car Caleb was currently putting Oliver into, you were held back.

“Lassie, lassie easy-“

“Johnny let-let me go.”

Johnny, with close to zero effort, turns you to face him, “Leave it. It’s gonna be okay, go’ a plan yeah? Ollie’s gonna be in his bed tonight, promise.”

Hey I'm Danny and this is basically exactly what I look like except 200 pounds heavier. My biggest interest and hyperfixation rn is vivziepop's hellaverse. It was made by an edgelord millennial cartoon fan for edgelord millennial cartoon fans. If you ever liked invader zim, johnny the homicidal maniac, or creating sparkle dog OCs on deviantart, I guarantee you'll love it (helluvaboss is especially good for eene enjoyers, i promise, especially if you like short, angry, manic men who need to be on some sort of medication.)

other special interests rotating on the carousel in my brain are: eene, orangutans, dragonball z, vegeta my love my son my horrible horrible gremlin man who is so stinky and so stupid, life sims, gay anime (if im watching it, its automatically gay,) a lot of adult swim cartoons, and everything and anything mental health related, especially if it has to do with the care of neurodivergent children ('tis my job.) Also worth noting is that I spend the vast majority of my time playing video games, and have been spending the vast majority of my time this way since I was three years old.

Welcome to the Eurovision Song Bracket!

This will be a fairly large bracket, consisting of two "teams" of 68 songs for a total of 136 competitors!

The first team has been preselected, and will consist of all previous winners or popular vote winners if applicable.

This means that if your favorite song won, you do not need to submit them (a couple of exceptions apply, see list at the bottom/read more for details)

Rules!

- Entries must have been a part of the main competition of Eurovision of any year (I might do a MGP mini bracket if the people want that)

- Once again, you do not need to submit winners, they are (mostly) automatically in. Again, see bottom for details and explanations.

- You may submit multiple songs, but please don't send the same song over and over.

- Propaganda is highly encouraged! There is a spot for it in the submission form, and adding it on to the poll itself or sending an ask is also allowed. You may send a DM, but I'll probably be slow to respond that way.

How it Works!

- There will be multiple brackets of 34 songs

- Each of the preselected winners will be randomly against one of the submitted songs. Pairings will be decided through number assignment and a random number generator.

- Vote for your favorite! I will include links to the songs in the poll so you can listen to both before voting. The winner will move onto the next round until we find the winner of that bracket.

- Once all brackets are complete, the winners of their individual brackets will go onto the finals to determine the (unofficial) Ultimate Eurovision Song Winner!

- There will be a preliminary around, as 1969 (hehe nice) had a four way tie, so we will need to determine which of those four will represent that year!

Cartoon Network Friday Spotlight: Ed, Edd n' Eddy- "Every Which Way but Ed"

Twenty five years ago yesterday, Ed, Edd n' Eddy first aired! I seriously believe that the one two punch of this and The Powerpuff Girls, premiering within a month and a half of each other, is what pushed Cartoon Network into the place to watch for fans of animation.

The former, a refinement of what the new Hanna-Barbera crew were doing with Dexter's Laboratory and Johnny Bravo into the ultimate version of itself, while the latter was a rejection of the soon-to-become Cartoon Network Studios method and its adherence to HB and UPA's art styles and influence, aiming for a more striking balance of classic and contemporary animation. Powerpuff Girls showed what the CN crew could do, while EEnE proved why some outside influence was necessary. And of course, both shows became massive hits that redefined the network for the coming decade and beyond.

What episode should I talk about? I decided to go with this season 5 classic, which feels like an early attempt to ease fans into the changes for the show's last full run by staying away from school and proudly boasting its new digital coloring. That's probably why this aired before the real season premiere, "Out with the Old... in with the Ed", which set up the return to the school year, although I would've swapped the first half, "Mission Ed-Possible" (another classic, albeit one that messes with continuity) with another class-less episode.

But enough rambling. This story is almost entirely flashback based, similarly to season 4's mock clipshow "The Good Ol' Ed", except this time the memories are real, just not familiar to the audience. We see details like how Plank got the chip on his block, how Jimmy busted his teeth, and Nazz's "big" phase. All good stuff, leading to memorable bits (who can forget Ed's "you bet your sweet bippy I did" and the automatic response), but the centerpiece is saved for last.

Baby Eds! We get to see how the boys met each other for the first time, as seen above, and it's the cutest thing. We get there with some classic cartoon violence and the show's ever-wild sense of humor, things that I'll never take lightly. This show remains as entertaining as ever 25 years on, and I bet the same will be true when we hit the big 5-0. I hope you all agree!
