Update: the pictures from the @edmontonstuck meet should be here by Thursday or Friday latest. My photographer @dark-wing2-me will be giving them to me once they get the images off the camera and onto the computer! Thanks to everyone who came, even if you didnt go to the meet! The amount of HS cosplayers was great!

are there any,,, people in edmonton area who like/cosplay homestuck?

i was just reminiscing and. i miss hanging out w people.

i dont got a lot of irls anymore (and my old irls we kinda... drifted, unfortunately).

it was fun dressin up w other people and just. living in th moment. and not caring what anyone thought about us.

and also it was great to have people i could talk to and stuff and im just. really sad now bc i have no one.

friendswise.

and it sucks. because having irl friends for that little while, for the first time in my life, was the best time of my life. and i want that again. i wanna be able to just. go hang out with people if i have the day off from work. and i wanna go to galaxyland in cosplay and have fun. i want to feel like im 15 hopeful still again, instead of 20 and like i have no one outside of my family.

online friends are nice and everything but. admittedly, i get really jealous when i see people posting photos with their irls because i dont have that, not anymore.

Animethon lineup?

I don't know what I'll do on each day but if I can get everything finished I'll be Cosplaying Steampunk!Peridot (Steven Universe) one day, Eridan (Homestuck), and Tavros (Homestuck) for the other days. I might try and put together a fancy Eridan outfit for the masquerade Friday night

Ok so, yesterday I was at a downtown Starbucks and I was wearing a Dave t shirt and the barista recognized it AND IT FUCKING MADE MY LIFE AND I WAS LIKE “YOOOOOOOO” AND WE TALKED ABOUT 2017 HOMESTUCK STRUGGLES AND THEN SHE YOLD ME THERE WAS A FUCKING TAG ON TUMBLR SPECIALLY FOR THE CITY I LIVE IN FOR HOMESTUCKS AND I WAS LIKE “YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”

Anyways, she labeled my drink Dave strider and it made me very happy

A Taste Of Animethon - Homestuck Meeting

Hey guys it’s your friendly cosplayer here! Planning a Homestuck meetup and maybe some pics! I’m planning for it to be somewhere around 3:30 PM on the Saturday. 

Location will be just outside the center, Where the outside walkway is. We will be meeting at the large buffalo art piece at 3:30. If it gets too cold we will be just right inside but still in the same area! Please be there for 3:30, so arrive at about 3:15 if you can.

Picture for attention tbh, but aNYWAYS GREETINGS ESPECIALLY TO YOU ALBERTASTUCKS I am helping host a Homestuck meetup for Animethon this summer and we want YOU to come join us! ❤️ I’m sure we’re all aware of how shit the fandom is getting lately but we’d like to bring back some positivity and have a good ‘ol meetup again! We’ll be bringing Faygo and some snacks for anybody who decides to come, all we ask in return for you to PLEASE be respectful to other con-goers and make sure to seal your paint if you have any❤️ We will be asking any and all disrespectful or rude people to kindly leave the event, but we cannot force you, as it is a public place.

Event is currently planned for the Saturday of con but it may be moved to the Sunday if convenient for most people, but the definite time of the event is undecided. There is a Facebook group for the event and if you message me about it I’ll let you know the link!

hey so! i need a little help with a cosplay that im planning for #animethon2017 !! im hoping to wear a cosplay that would be a black morphsuit, with glowing red led lights (hoping for led lightstrips). the only problem is that ive never worked with any kind of lights before and don't know how the set up would work! im buying all the materials, and would be willing to pay if someone could help me, or even just love some advice on how to do this! thank you!
