I'm not entirely sure if Its the blog to ask it but eh, its danganesque enough! Oh nuuuuu, the ladies of project eden's garden are locked in a killing game, the DRAMA. Anyway something something plot, and to get out they must wear slutty costumes and show off their curves. Look I dont know what plot to put this around, basically a disguised tierlist of THICCNESS of the project eden's garden gals, like,tsumugi judging ranking and analyzing the SEX appeal of the girls (in front of them, and tsumoomoo being a total GOONER (who also takes her job very furiously, she wont hesitate to be harsh and even condescending to flatties plain er than plain!) (with each having a stat for boobies, butts, tongue length (as im told by people it matters) and body type (looking at u muscle mommy ingrid) as well as (if you feel like it) sexy costume wore)

Or a walking wardrobe malfunction that can rival Cowede's in sheer TANK size?!! God it's so haaaarddddd!!....Least Toshiko is a breeze!! Sorry short-stuff, but while shortstacks are appealing, it's better to have some booba than none at all!!!"

"Best Booty: "Okay, this one was a landslide, but it's not as if the others weren't trying............it's just Eloise set the bar too darn high~ Her pudgy, clapcakes, are just, mmmmmhhhhhhhhh!!! "Body Sizes: "Feels like this is an accurate assessment over which beauty goes where. Though, personally, the network favors pushing girls that are on the muscle mommy side (like a certain ASSassin~) or kind of busty and thicc (a cow-ish pianist would know) As such, Mara, Ingrid, Diana and Eva would generally be the winners here."

"Costumes: Tsumugi's Rating Time!!! They were tasked with wearing a sexy outfit that corresponds with their animal theme!! Let's see how they did!!:"

Cassidy - "Gotta admire a good Spiderman cosplay....albeit, it would have been better if she didn't wind up buying the cheapest one around. All those rips, especially in the peach area, while it makes for good fanservice, it doesn't quite make for good cosplay. 1/5"

Diana - "Attention!! A slutty soldier enters the arena. AKA Diana with a rolled army shirt up to her boobs and a small camo green cargo shorts. But, that's not all!!! Any skin that was showing was covered in quite the impressive body paint as well~ Now that's creative! 5/5"

Eloise - "We really needed to get her a more fitting costume or suggest better stores for her to go to. The ballerina idea was a great idea, but whatever pinhead gave her that costume had it too small for her so....it was pretty much malfunction central~ 2/5"

Eva - "You might wonder how one can make a plague doctor be sexy given how much they cover up. Eva can tell you that at least~ On the surface she was dressed up in quite the thick set of coats...but that was just a feign! Once she took those off, she showed off her skin-tight, leather, bodysuit that was HUGGING her figure! Excellent misdirect!! 5/5"

Grace - "A pink bunny suit!!! Honestly, expected given the hat (if a bit on the plain side), but she really makes it work!! After all, what better than a dirty-talking Aussie woman shouting at you to throw her tips while she poles poles dances for you!! The viewers just eat those sort of things up!! 3/5!"

Ingrid - "I will forever respect Ingrid's dedication to the bit. Sure, her attire was just too darn short and exposed everything from minute one. Sure, she was a bit too rough in her movements and had top & sleeves midway through. Sure, her attempts at making ketchup art on eggs just...had her put too much force into it...but darn she tried and that's what matters!! 1/5"

Mara - "Our resident silent, but sexy girl!! She might not express it much, but I think she really loved dressing up even more than the others. Her ninja outfit had quite the incredible hip vents, that sarashi showed juuuust enough cleavage to it, and can appreciate the full-on face mask given her usual style. Also helps she brought an actual katana with her as well!! Props for her for doing her best!! 4/5"

Toshiko - "Stunning!!! She was a flamenco dancer with quite the moves to back herself up...and, well, back 'it' up as well~ Yeah, you can bet your own booty that Toshiko was shaking her's, and with her curvy hips going into overdrive, it was a performance that really highlighted that she knew her stuff. 4/5"

Wenona - "Money can't buy you happiness, but it sure as Hell can buy you a good berserker outfit. Fur capes, boots and, God that fur bikini was stunning!! It really highlight how goddamn beautiful this rich bitch was and it wasn't as if she neglecting the 'brutal' side of a berserker as well. She even got her own axe to to slice at some wood they brought in - and cut them clean in half!! Guess Wenona is just a perfectionist for these types of things~ 5/5"

"Final Rankings - the P:EG girls were judged and given points based on their placement in the categories, AKA the first two. Getting in first place nets you two points and getting in the second spot gets you 1 point! For the categories of Body Size and Costumes, judging based on how got a '4' and '5' for the latter, and for the former those who the network prefers gets a '2'."

In the manga and anime series Edens Zero, Shiki Granbell (voiced by Takuma Terashima and Sean Chiplock) is the protagonist. He formerly lives with robots on planet Granbell. Shiki can manipulate gravity. Shaki has bandages on his face and has spiky black hairs. His attire contains a white shirt with burgundy striping on the front, green pants, a jacket with sleeves rolled up, and black boots. You can purchase a cosplay set or build your own with a bomber jacket, harem pants, and a white t-shirt embellished with burgundy paint. Collect all the accessories of the Shiki Granbell costume from Edens Zero for Halloween and cosplay.

Words of Shakespeare: Happy 20th Anniversary Supanova!

On the weekend of the 18th and 19th of June 2022, I went with six friends and two support workers (and of course my old friend Richard and other friends Sam and Hayden) went to the Supanova Comic and Gaming convention at The Dome at Sydney Olympic Park (my favourite entertainment fortress of solitude!).

Throughout the weekend, we saw a variety of cosplayers from Anime such as My Hero Academia and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, video games from my childhood such as Pokémon, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon and Games from the previous decade including Undertale and Deltarune, cartoons and animated movies such as Steven Universe, the popular Disney adventure cartoon The Owl House and classics such as Beauty and the Beast and Mulan, web cartoons such as Vivienne Medrano’s Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss and Rooster Teeth’s RWBY, childhood animations such as Pingu, Characters from cult shows such as Monkey from the British gag dub of the same name that aired on ABC in the early eighties and of course cosplay from sci-fi movies and tv shows such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who and Marvel and DC comic books and movies including classic heroes and villains such as Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Loki, Superman, Batman, The Joker, Harley Quinn and the rest.

A majority of the well designed displays of the cosplayers were also shown at the Cosplay Showcase at the Cosplay Theatre across from The Dome at Hall 5.

I was also amazed by how many male cosplayers can cosplay as female characters like for example, when I saw a male Tawna Bandicoot cosplayer and females cosplaying as Deku from My Hero.

At Supanova when I first entered The Dome, there was a wall of Supanova Posters from the past 20 years starting with 2002 up until this year, my much loved Convention has hosted a plethora of well known guests from movies, tv shows, anime and cartoons including Sean Schemmel (voice of Goku from the Dragon Ball anime), Dan Green (voice of Yugi Mutou/ Pharaoh from Yu-Gi-Oh! Classic and Knuckles the Echidna from Sonic X and the various Sonic games from 2003-2009), Barbara Eden (From I Dream of Jeannie), John Barrowman (From Doctor Who) David Hasselhoff (from Baywatch) The late Verne Troyer (Mini Me from the Austin Powers movie franchise) and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia Organa of Star Wars) , Richard Horvitz (voice of Invader Zim and Alpha 5 from the earlier Power Rangers seasons Mighty Morphin to Turbo and currently the voice of Moxxie from Helluva Boss), Jeremy Shada, John DiMaggio, Olivia Olson and Jessica DiCicco, the Adventure Time cast of Finn, Jake, Marceline and Flame Princess/Phoebe respectively, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers cast members Jason David Frank (Tommy), Austin St John (Jason), Walter Emmanuel Jones (Zack), Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam), David Yost (Billy), Karan Ashley (Aisha) and of course the late legendary godfather of Marvel Comic Book superheroes Stan Lee who appeared in the 2014 edition of Supanova in Sydney. I have been attending Supanova Comic Cons since 2011 with the exception of 2015 when I was experiencing financial and physical burnout from my Melbourne trip and 2020 which was unable to be held due to well…horrid stuff and seeing those old posters of previous cons made me feel very nostalgic.

Supanova had a variety of stalls which you could buy various merchandise such as comics, pop vinyl figures, statues, trading cards, plush dolls of anime characters and video game characters and vintage merchandise such as action figures from tv show and cartoon franchises including Transformers, Power Rangers, He-Man, Batman the animated series, Star Wars, Star Trek and older comics from the eighties and nineties. Supanova also had a stall where you could buy autographs from previous years conventions.

For those who want some physical enjoyment, there was the archery target course and of course, my new favourite from last year, the Battlecry LARP sword fights. Richard and I had a great time taking down a burly ax wielding knight with rubber swords as you get a lot of exercise out of it as well!

There was also Star Wars Lightsaber demonstrations and testing your might as you try to lift Thor’s Hammer Mjölnir!

For those who love gaming, there were gaming areas where you could play Rocket League, Super Smash Bros and Ubisoft’s Just Dance whilst there was also gaming tournaments and demonstrations as well and of course board and dice games such as Dungeons and Dragons!

Looking through The Alley seeing all the prints of artwork and comic books by independent artists made me feel amazed inside, I bought a print of Spyro the Dragon and stickers of Stolas and Blitzø of Helluva Boss from Bunsanity and a commission of the character Wizarmon/Wizardmon from Bandai’s Digimon virtual pet, anime and video game franchise from art by Cyanide. I really loved how well designed Wizarmon looked even though if the artists never got into the Digimon franchise.

I even had my fortune told via Pokémon trading cards by a Mimikyu cosplayer!

There was also comic book artists from Australia such as Alex T. Trip who did illustrations for The Phantom, Jamie Johnson who did illustrations for IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and Dean Rankine who did illustrations for Simpsons Comics and Oggy and the Cockroaches (France’s answer to Tom and Jerry). One of the comic books I bought was by independent comic book artist Bad Harvie and his Ozploitation anthology comic book series modelled after Grindhouse low budget horror movies from the seventies and eighties. Definitely not for those with a weak stomach if I say so myself.

I was also happy that there wasn’t any offending stalls at the Alley unlike last year when Supanova was embroiled in controversy where there was a stall selling right wing extremist and Neo Nazi merchandise as conventions are a place of celebrating who we are and we do not condone any hate here.

For the con-goers who were looking for an appetite, Dominos Pizza was serving up pizzas, garlic bread and Pepsi drinks as usual and the cafés inside the Dome sold Pies, burgers and Bagels. Outside the dome had stalls such as Chips on a Stick, Wally’s Hot Dogs, Hot Dog on a Stick, Cheese on a Stick (who would usually be there at the Sydney Royal Easter Show) and Ian’s Ice Creams.

Now it was time for the main attraction and a mainstay for Supanova since the beginning, the guests! This year’s Sydney Supanova was the first edition with overseas stars in three years caused by well…again…bad stuff and the guests included Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum aka Clark Kent and Lex Luthor from Smallville, Michael Biehn from The Terminator and The Mandalorian, Mark Shepperd from Supernatural, Emile De Ravine from Once Upon a Time, James and Oliver Phelps aka the Weasley Twins from the Harry Potter films, the part of the Supanova furniture, John Jarratt who is a very friendly fellow despite playing one of the most infamous horror characters in Australian film history which is Mick Taylor from the Wolf Creek movies (which gave me uncontrollable bowel movement when I was younger and Jarratt never appeared on an episode of Play School in the eighties for those who are a victim of the “Mandela Effect!”), and of course, one of the first few guests from Supanova’s inaugural convention in 2002, Veronica Taylor, the original voice of Ash Ketchum from the 4Kids English dub of the Pokémon anime series and movies from 1998 to 2006.

Even though I was very determined to wait two and a half hours to obtain Taylor’s autograph and photo with her (and a much needed interval to use the restroom and chow down on a hot dog on a stick!), it was definitely worth the $60 to greet Taylor and to acknowledge her as one of the voices of my childhood growing up watching the Pokémon anime in the late nineties and early 2000’s on Cheez TV hosted by Jade and Ryan (who also appeared at the 2016 Edition of Supanova).

Taylor was also a very lovely person to talk to as well as I discussed all those precious memories!

I also attended a seminar at the Cosplay theatre where the Phelps Twins discussed their time playing as the Weasleys in the Harry Potter films with a number of funny stories to tell too!

This year’s Supanova was a roaring return to form and without any controversies or kerfuffles after what happened last year in the artist’s alley. Supanova is such a great way to dress up as your favourite character, meet new friends, join and explore new fandoms, be involved in activities, meeting your favourite celebrities and of course, reliving your childhood in the process (like I did when I met Veronica)!

My only negatives for this year’s convention was the long waiting time in groups to see big name celebrities and only a minuscule number of voice actors appearing. After all, we are still in a dwindling health crisis and we should get to see more well known voice actors from cartoons and anime next year (Still praying for Richard Horvitz!) and of course, more well known guests from movies and tv shows!

I give this year’s Supanova an 8 out of 10!

Lupine: What does your name mean? Why is that your name? My chosen name is straight up just based off of two of my strongest kintypes, though I also just really like the name Marco! Cotton came from my desire to have a gentle and approachable kind of name that was still unique!

Marigold: Where did you grow up? Tell us about it. Uhhh my childhood house was a place my mom and dad built. Just a little brick one story, but still a pretty nice place. I was friends with the neighbor girl and we’d be weird and play on the trampoline out back. Sometimes mom would take me for walks to see the horses in the pasture a ways down the road.

Morning Glory: What was your bedroom like growing up? BRIGHT YELLOW walls with a mural of flowers on hills painted on it, very silly and childish but still cute. I had a bunk bed and a giant pink dollhouse at the time! 

Mugworts: What was it like for you as a teenager? Did you enjoy your teenage years?  My teenage years were Terrible because high school was terrible and my mental health took a nosedive, but around 18 I graduated and started to gain a little bit of balance back. Overall not a great bunch of years, though.

Norwegian Angelica: Tell us about your mom.She acts a lot like a roommate. I love her a lot, and she does try her best, but she’s still considerably emotionally abusive and I really need to move away from her. 

Onions: Tell about your dad.  He liked to fish and hunt, and he was a pretty good dad even though he could have some really bad anger flareups at times. He died when I was 8, so i don’t really remember much.

Orchid: Tell about your grandparents. The only one I know well is my dad’s mom, and we have..a complicated relationship. She’s not the worst, but she can be manipulative and guilt trippy and had a huge hand in me getting bpd. She likes to cook, and she works at a gas station. 

Pansy: What was your most memorable birthday? What made it be so memorable? I can’t remember things by date easily fasdflkj;ds??This last birthday Riot was here though, so that made it special!

Peony: What was your first job? I haven’t had a true job yet, disability makes it hard.

Petunia: If you’re in a relationship, how did you meet your partner(s)? If you’re not in a relationship, how did you meet your crush/how do you hope to meet your future partner(s), if you want any? I met Riot in a homestuck kin server, funnily enough, and Norski was a very close friend of mine in my steven universe rp days! We reconnected and a spark came with it, and the rest is history!

Pincushion: How do you deal with pain? I usually compartmentalize until I have some quiet time by myself to listen to music and cry and vent art and rant some of it out. I prefer to physically be by myself, it’s easier to externalize it that way, but I will text people and ask for help if I need to talk. I’m still learning how to handle it in a healthy way instead of being self destructive.

Prairie Gentian: Who is someone you look up to? Describe them. My former Spanish teacher was a tiny little woman, but still commanded respect in her own way. She was always kind, encouraged creativity, and tried to make things interesting and exciting. She wasn’t afraid to disagree with her boss if he was immoral, and she kept the wellbeing of her students as a priority. I will never forget her gentle, respectable, fun nature. 

Primrose: Describe your ideal life. I have a job as a successful therapist, helping people heal from their trauma. I come home in the evening to my husbands. We are financially comfortable, our closest friends live next door and visit often. We have a decent number of pets, and are preparing to try for children. We cook dinner together and laugh the whole time, then snuggle close and settle in for a movie. Trauma and pain isn’t anywhere in our minds, our humble home is clean and warm. There’s nothing to be immediately afraid of.

Rhodendron: What is something you used to believe in as a child? I believed in dragons until I was like. 15.

Ricinus: Who’s the most important in your life? My boyfriends and my best friend

Netflix’s Into the Night season 2 has just dropped on the platform, and here’s the cast of characters and what they’ve been in. The first Belgian TV show on Netflix was an experiment, but the first season found a strong audience that was hooked on the sci-fi disaster drama. Like Netflix’s recent hit Blood Red Sky or Stephen King’s The Langoliers, the action unfolds mostly on a plane, with a group of travelers on a flight to Brussels finding themselves in a race against time when the sun’s radiation causes a chain reaction and mass disaster on Earth. They hopped from city to city in an attempt to escape the sun’s killing rays and stay alive, and the finale found them finally finding a bunker in Bulgaria that could mean permanent safety.

Season 2 finds their temporary security shattered when an accident destroys a major portion of their stores of food. They’re forced back above ground, this time with a plan to make it to the Global Seed Vault in Norway. Of course, as is usually the case with post-apocalyptic movies and TV shows, they soon find themselves competing with other groups of survivors who are after the same goal.

Most of the main cast is back from season 1 – the characters who weren’t killed off, that is – and there are a few new faces. Here’s the Into the Night season 2 cast and characters, including where you might have seen the actors before.

Pauline Etienne plays Sylvie, a former military helicopter pilot and one of the group’s leaders. The Belgian actress has a number of acclaimed foreign films under her belt, including Lost Paradise (2012), 2013’s The Nun (not to be confused with The Nun of the Conjuring universe), Eden (2014), and The Lion Sleeps Tonight (2017). Along with Into the Night, other TV shows include Public Enemy, 18h30, and The Bureau, where she played Céline Delorme.

    Laurent Capelluto plays Mathieu (above far right), the co-pilot of the plane that the survivors found themselves on to open the series. He’s the other leader of the group with Sylvie. Capelluto has done a number of Belgian and French films, including  Mr. Nobody (2009), Fils unique (2011) and Amour (2012). He’s also an accomplished TV actor, with starring turns in The Returned and Black Spot. He’s currently filming TV show Infiniti.

Mehmet Kurtuluş returns as Ayaz Kobanbay, a Turkish passenger hiding secrets. Along with Into the Night, Kurtuluş has a number of Turkish TV credits to his name, including The Protector, Muhtesem Yüzyil: Kösem, and Tatort. Babetida Sadjo is back in season 2 as Laura Djalo (far right above), a nurse’s aide whose skills are called into use more than once. Sadjo has a relatively short filmography, but notable film roles include 2014’s Waste Land and 2018’s And Breathe Normally. Surprisingly, her only TV show before Into the Night was Belgian series Esprits de famille.

Belgian actor Jan Bijvoet returns as Richard “Rik” Mertens, a former security guard who still has a heroic streak. Like the other actors on this list, Bijvoet has done a number of Belgian TV shows and movies, but he also has a few notable roles to his name that English-speaking audiences might recognize. Most notably, he played Grand Duke Leon Petrovna in season 3 of Peaky Blinders, and Vokia in Netflix series The Letter for the King.

Ksawery Szlenkier returns as mechanic Jakub Kieslowski (left, green sweatshirt) in season 2. Szlenkier is a well-known actor in his native Poland, with film credits including The Auschwitz Report (2021), The Coldest Game (2019), and Within the Whirlwind (2009). His TV resume is more prolific, with roles on, among other shows, Barwy szczescia, Krew z krwi, and Wiadomosci z drugiej reki.

Vincent Londez is back in season 2 as Horst Baudin, a climate scientist who racest to figure out why the sun has suddenly turned so deadly. English-speaking audiences will recognize Londez from his role as Capitaine Romain Laugier on the cast of Lupin, Netflix’s hit French series. Other notable TV roles include Public Enemy, Missions, and Lazy Company.

Regina Bikkinina (top right, in sweater) and Nicolas Alechine return as mother and son Zara and Dominik. a Russian mother who has a sick son, Dominik. In a story arc similar to Blood Red Sky, the first season found them traveling to Mexico for treatment for Dominik, who had a chronic illness, and things aren’t much better in season 2. Into the Night is Bikkinina’s first notable role, and Alechine’s only role. However, Bikkinina will soon be seen in a French-language adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s play Champ libre.

Digital influencer and internet celebrity Ines Ricci returns, played by Alba Gaïa Bellugi. It’s her fight with one of the soldiers overseeing the bunker that accidentally starts the fire that burns down the food supply in season 2. Bellugi is best known as Prune on The Bureau, and as Sabine in TV miniseries Apnea. Film credits include The Intouchables and The Evening Dress.

Nabil Mallat returns as Osman Azizi (center, striped vest), a Moroccan airport janitor who became one of the original team of survivors in Into the Night season 1. Mallat has a few film roles to his name but is mostly known for TV series, which include Cordon, De Dag, Bullets, and Women of the Night.

Theme Song: track titled “Swimming” from the Waterworld soundtrack (the book mentions multiple times that Arya’s mind is full of dark, haunting chords and this was the first I found that met that description

So this was a bit of a creative take on the character I’ll admit. Most of the time she’s said to be wearing dark leather but she’s also heavily associated with the color green which is why I went with a black and green color scheme. With both edits I wanted to recall that nostalgic fantasy feeling, with the first edit meant to capture the same look as, say, the cover or illustration in a book, and the second meant to bring to mind the same aesthetic as most fantasy-themed films. I also chose to use Lunija for this photoshoot because she most closely matched the small white elven horses appearing in the books.
